Wonderful hotel very well located close to the river pagodas. The staff is amazing with number one by far being Cary Li, the responsible for breakfast. He knew our daily little habits and made the best to accommodated. He made a big difference in our accommodation, thank you so much
It is a great place to stay! Location is absolutely fantastic, with everything on a walking distance! Rooms are great, food is great, small lobby bar has great coffee, tea and fresh juices - a great place to stay!
Sheraton’s actually OK compared to Xi’an and Tangxi The rooms are nice at least but small. The workout area is OK at best. The pool is unheated, but they have a sauna. I think at some point these so-called five star hotels have to realize that the amenities that give them five stars have to be usable. So the pool is too cold to use 80% of the year and the buffet is poor quality, why am I here if I’m just using a small room and none of the facilities? The buffet again is stupid. They’re way too many people even in the middle of the week. There’s lineups for the one coffee machine they have and the food is pretty low quality. The buffet is that all the Sheratons have been underwhelming in regards to the quality. Whoever they’re using they should switch.like how can pineapples be tough and tasteless in a place with a fruit is absolutely delicious everywhere?? The soup broth is water, the pastries are of lowest quality. But they need to have more coffee machines and they need to have hot chocolate for kids. Lack of hot chocolate for kids at the Sheraton’s is actually a big pain in the you know what.
Opened in 1988, Sheraton Guilin is the is one of the early internationally-branded luxury hotels in Guilin and the only one remaining so. Despite its age, the hotel continuously have been renovated by its owners and the last one was during COVID. The hotel offers around 408 guestrooms, including suites, many with views of the Li River and located in the heart of the tourism district within walking distance to Elephant Trunk Park and Sun & Moon Pagodas. As a tourist, this is best hotel in best location.👍🏼
Give the room 4 stars as the advertised river view room does not have really clear view of the river due to high tree along the riverside (see attached picture 1). However, 5 stars for the location and service. Location is the best, within walking distances to many Guilin’s famous attractions (see attached picture 2). The hotel provides free Guangxi Zhuang traditional costume experience (see attached picture 3), which is definitely a plus.
