Guernsey Coastal Small Group Tour

They didn't turn up to collect us at Hotel and not answering mobile . I am contacting my bank for a refund. Be Aware!!! Jean

Our cruise ship was unable to dock in Guernsey because of weather. This information was provided to the tour company immediately upon announcement. The tour company was unwilling to offer ANY resolution to this situation. I would recommend avoiding this tour at all costs. They are not customer friendly and are only interested in taking advantage of their customers.

The tour was very personable, and took us to places that a larger coach would not likely have been able to do. Our guide was a Guernsey native so was able to give us great insight to places and history.

Our cruise ship could not enter Guernsey and as soon as it was reported to us on board, I tried to cancel. I got the automation machine from the company and I lost $535. I will never use this company again.

Communication with the operator worked well, and we ended up having a tour just for us, with no-one else booked in. Barry was the ideal guide for us, as we are more interested in a local’s view of the island than a traditional tour guide spiel, but I could imagine that someone wanting a potted history of Guernsey might be a little disappointed. The coastal sights were beautiful on a sunny day, from the cliffs and coves of the south to the sandy beaches of the north.

Guernsey is a beautiful island abd wish we could have spent more time there. This tour was great for the limited time we had.

Our tour guide, Helen, was very knowledgeable of the history and geography of the island. She took us to small interesting place that the larger tour buses would never be able to navigate in and out of. Helen was friendly and gave us a perfect overview of Guernsey.

It was a perfect exposure to the island. Just the right amount of exposure to highlights of the area. Our guide gave us good history and cultural tidbits. He took us to places we might have skipped like The I Little Chapel which was remarkable.

Out of all the stops on our recent cruise around Great Britain, we liked Guernsey the best. I don't think the online tour description does justice to the package they offer. We had multiple stops where we got out and walked around. Felt like we really got to see all the high points and so glad we didn't just stay in town. It's a beautiful island with lots of interesting history. Helen, our guide, grew up there and she showed us her favorite spots. Her dry sense of humor only added to our enjoyment. If you get a chance to tour with Wow A Tour try to get Helen as your guide!

We had a very interesting and informative tour with Ian. We learned all about Guernsey. He is very knowledgeable and interesting! Such a likable guy! The only drawback was the vehicle although luxury, was cramped in the backseat for 3 adults.

A small group in a mini-Van gets us around Guernsey quickly. We like the arrangement much better than a big bus.

Nice tour with friendly driver but the instructions on where to meet were not clear and the map showing location of where to meet was way off. Spent 30 minutes walking back and forth before finally meeting tour guide.

Booked a Small group tour. We were told a maximum 14. The bus was 45 minutes late to pick us up (we were told to be there 15 minutes early, thus we waited an hour). The "small group" was 34 people with one guide that had no mic system. We were squished onto a bus even sitting on all the little flip-down seats. When we complained, we were told they didn't have enough staff so we got what we got. If they had told us there would have been an issue, we have changed to another company.

The tour operator did not show up to pick us up. The tour was to include cruise ship passengers, but it was cancelled for them. We were shore passengers. We had to settle instead for a taxi to take us around instead of the tour as advertised.

The weather was bad and the cruise ship tenders couldn’t come in. So the tour guide thought all of her clients couldn’t make the tour.she wasn’t informed that my husband and I were staying in the island. We waited at the pickup site and.she did not show. We finally got in touch with her and she had already started to focus on another aspect of her job. She sent a 25 year old taxi driver to give us a tour. It was ok, but for 368 pounds we don’t believe we got the full tour that we signed up for. At this point we probably won’t sign up for another tour with WOW A Tour. The first tour we took last year with this company, the guide was over an hour late.

We couldn't believe it, but our tour was cancelled 2 days before the tour! We had just landed in London when we received an email that the tour was cancelled due to "illness and low driver guides" and that we "might be able to get a tour through the cruise line or a taxi". We had scheduled this tour months in advance and we were on a "trip of a lifetime" to the UK. We required an "easy" tour due to age and mobility issues, and all of the cruise ship easy tours were full. It was a huge disappointment to us!! Beware.

We were transported about the Island by Helen in her pristine van with 2 other couples..The van allowed us access to places that a regular bus could.not get to. She is a great historian and has lived there her whole life. Excellent excursion and we would recommend it!

Multiple scenic lookouts not accessible if taking a large bus. This tour was excellent! Ask for Helen

We had the good fortune to have Helen show us around beautiful Guernsey. She shard her love of the land, it’s unique beauty and went above and beyond to show us the most interesting sights. Our entire group loved the experience and we would take the trip again. Follow Helens recommendations....we were so happy we did.
