The Juárez de Guanajuato Theater is a historic theater that dates from the end of the 19th century located in the Mexican city of Guanajuato in the state of the same name, in Mexico.
Monument of the Pípila (monument of the War of Independence ) and learn the story behind this massive sculpture. At this spot began Mexico’s War of Independence and holds some of the most stunning views in the entire city of Guanajuato.
When two lovers pass through the Callejon del Beso, the Alley of the Kiss, they must kiss on the third step in order for their love to last forever. That’s why hundreds of people who pass through this narrow place don’t hesitate to do so and hope that the story turns out to be true.
Walking down the quaint “callejones” or narrow cobblestone streets towards the Hidalgo Market. The market’s building structure is a disorganized mixture of different elements, ideas, and styles that was originally constructed to be a major train station

We had a wonderful walking tour, all over Guanajuato with Alex (Alejandro) Bruga. We found Alex to be extremely knowledgeable, about all aspects of the rich history and culture of the city and region, and full of interesting asides (including movie recommendations! and the occasional restaurant recommendation) and insights. Alex was a delight - friendly, funny, and caring. We'd gladly spend more time with him, exploring even more of the area. Probably the best city tour we've been on.
Alex was an excellent guide. Lots of information and recommendations of other things to do while in Guanajuato. Recommend this tour for an overview and great history lesson.
I did 3 tours with Estigo and each of them were excellent. Alex knew Guanajato very well and many of the lesser known and unique things, which truly gave a unique flavor that is not well covered in any of the travel sites. I would recommend this company and book with them again.
A private walking tour around Guanajuato is the best way to see the city! The local guides are so knowledgeable and friendly and really tailor the tour to the visitors’ tastes and interests. Would absolutely do this again the next time I’m in Guanajuato!
After a great time in Mexico City, Estigo Tours strongly suggested we visit Guanajuato and we were not disappointed at this recommendation. It is beautiful with so much history. We went on a 3 hour walking tour of this magnificent city which was organized by Estigo Tours and our tour guide was nothing but exceptional. His knowledge of the history of this city was really mind blowing! How did he remember everything? He took us to see the basilica, the restored theatre and we took the funicular up to the top of the hill to see the large statue and saw a great view of the city. We ended our tour with a visit to the Diego rivera gallery which was fascinating. I highly recommend visiting this gorgeous city! Wear good walking shoes!
This place is amazing and the tour we took was a must do to get a full picture of the place and its myriad of tunnels and history. We had an excellent guide from Estigo Tours who had over 30 years of experience guiding in his beloved town and knew it inside and out. We loved learning about the wonderful architecture and taking the funicular to the top of the hillside was a highlight. The views are outstanding up there. Wear comfortable shoes because it’s almost 4 miles of walking on cobblestone streets and hills. Totally worth it! Such a vibrant colourful history.
Fantastic guide (Alex) and driver (Jorge) who were incredibly knowledgeable and wanted to make the experience the best possible, which it was! It started with an on-time pick up in a spotless and comfortable vehicle.
We really enjoyed our tour of Guanajuato’s tunnels and subterranean streets with Roberto and got a much better understanding of how the city was constructed. Roberto was a delight, providing us with just the right amount of history, personal stories and anecdotes and humor. We would thoroughly recommend this tour! A great use of 3 hours.
Alex was an excellent guide! He was so knowledgeable about Mexican history and also entertained us with folklore and ghost stories! He also modified the trip slightly for us when we indicated we had already done part of what he planned to show us. Excellent tour all around!
Great tour. Roberto was an excellent guide, he was lively, knew everything about the city, and enthusiastically shared his knowledge. Also pointed out useful info like what restaurants he recommended and places to shop. 10/10 would recommend.
Our tour guide, Alex Puga, was a gem - a wealth of knowledge about Guanajuato and the history of Mexico and very professional in every respect. If you are going to Guanajuato, you definitely should take a morning and do this tour. It will open your eyes to the wonderful history of this town, it’s art, it’s architecture and it’s political past. Thank you, Alex.
We have used Estigo Tours several times with great success. This was our first trip to Guanajuato and we LOVED IT! It's such a fun amazing town! Out tour guide was friendly, full of interesting knowledge, patient with our group and has a genuine love of the city which you can feel. As I mentioned, we've used Estigo Tours in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City and now Guanajuato and they've never missed a beat, never the slightest hiccup and all their employees have been great to work with. Highly recommended.
Pedro at Estigo tours was extremely polite and professional. Great communication throughout the entire booking process and the tour. Roberto our guide was amazing. He had such a deep knowledge and passion for the city and it's history that it was infectious. Walking the city, with a knowledgeable guide brought the cities history to life. A statue was no longer just a statue, but a living breathing remnant of the past. Roberto had a tremendous amount of knowledge about not just Guanajuato and it's past, but the entire History of Mexico and it's Independence . We were so glad we booked this tour!
Roberto, our tour guide, took us on a 3.5 hour tour of Guanajuato. He was passionate about the information he shared. He shared details about the culture, history, and way of living. Roberto was awesome. Don’t think twice about taking this tour. Ask for Roberto as your tour guide and he will bring this bustling city to life!
We were in Guanajuato for a few days for a wedding and wanted to learn about the local culture. We booked Estigo Tours on a recommendation from the bride and schedule it about a week in advance. Roberto was our guide and he gave us an incredible tour that hit all the highlights! He was very knowledgeable about the area, spoke excellent English and answered all of our questions. Roberto helpfully took photos for us and made local recommendations for restaurants, bars and street food. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Guanajuato! It's especially helpful to go on your first day to help acclimate you to the area for the rest of your trip. Be sure to bring good walking shoes because there is a LOT of walking. The tour takes every minute of the 3 hours it advertises and you are on your feet the whole time. Roberto also suggested we could take the funicular up to Monumento Al Pipila and the best overlook of the city, so bring 30 pesos per person and be sure to ask if you are interested in doing that!
Alejandro was an excellent guide. He has a lot of knowledge of the history of the city. A very interesting tour that is worth it. Thank you very much.
