If location is what you want, then this is a hotel for you. It's literally in front of one of their main plazas. We like the area because every site seem place was very close and walkable. However the rooms are very outdated. We were in a room in the 600 area. To be fair. The room for two people was a very spacious. But and needs a lot of upgrades, everything there is a very antique. For example, the dresser, it was hard to pull out the drawers. And not to mention our shower, even though the shower door closed, the water would leak out every time we showered, so we had to put extra towels on the floor to prevent the water from going all over the floor. And if you don't wear earplugs at night and are light sleeper, you will hear all the church bells go off. There's about three or four churches near this hote, .so you will hear all the bells go off all the time. And they don't all ring at the same time, some will go off at 30 min past the hour, some quarter to the hour, fifteen past...etc. The maid service and laundry service People are very friendly. The front desk stuff are probably so busy that they're not as courteous as other staff in the hotel. So the question is where I stay here again? Well, I might explore my options at another hotel. That was on the opposite side of this one. But at the same time, if I was to stay here again, I would probably want a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor, inner part of the hotel.

We stayed here for four days. The hotel is iconic and seen in many tourism videos of Guanajuato. The location is perfect for walking anywhere in Centro Historico. The rooms are spacious and room service made our room daily. Our room was spectacularly located on the corner top floor with two balconies. We couldn't have requested a better view or more wonderful memories.
Great location but other than that, not worth it. The noise outside the hotel is incredibly loud and goes until late. There’s dirt on the floor. The lack of AC makes the rooms extremely hot and stuffy but if you open the doors to the balconies, the noise doesn’t allow you to sleep. I think this hotel is overpriced for what it is and should reconsider their pricing.
Good location, yet rooms are not good at all. There is a feeling of dust and lack of cleanliness. There is no AC which is absolutely wild. First time experiencing this. Moreover my room had a small window facing the hotel hallway which had no blackout or curtain therefore had to deal with intense hallway light shining into my room and not allowing to rest properly. Finally bathrooms are a bit nasty, as seen in the picture. The hotel needs to step it up in my opinion. Besides this, staff is great.
Location is great……. That’s the only thing good about this hotel. This property does NOT have air conditioning. The rooms are hot and the only way to cool them down is by opening the balcony door. Unfortunately the balconies face towards the loud music that goes on till about midnight on weekdays. You can expect loud music till 2-3am on weekends or holidays.
