We scheduled a group visit to Sensoria and had a wonderful time. We booked directly with the operator because we wanted to select an experience that was comfortable for pregnant women. We chose the Jaguar experience, which was lovely. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The hikes through the jungle was moderate. The different waterfalls and pools were very relaxing and immersive. Finally, the food and beverages that were served were very good. The facilities were also very clean and well kept. The fee was reasonable. We also paid for round trip transportation from our resort. We would certainly do this tour again.

This was a tour of a lifetime. We were provided with the best customer service ever. Our tour guide was amazing. He was a walking library and taught us so much about the forest as we hiked through. The waterfalls were breath taking and our final soak in the Jaguar pool was just perfect. The whole tour was worth every penny. I honestly feel they need to up the price for what you receive.
From the moment we were picked up, the day is stunning. Pablo, our guide, is now a member of my family! The Marcella Bakery was a great place for a snack and amazing coffee!! We felt like we were meant to be here. The hike was beautiful. The pools, vegetation, flora, animals, air,....all perfect. I felt so special being greeted with a charcuterie board and champagne and our own robes when we came to the Jaguar pool. The dinner we were served was so special. Get The coffee to finish your dinner!!
You have to do this! Do the Jaguar package. Guys, if you want to propose to your woman, this is the most romantic thing you can do. The hike and waterfalls are gorgeous, but the thermal pools are awesome. Once you get to the Jaguar pool, it’s your own private area. They leave you with a meat and cheese tray and your choice of wine or champagne and you radio to them when you’re ready to back. I could have sat there all day! With the warm water and the beatify waterfall… so amazing. Once you’re done in the jaguar pool, you go back to a wonderful lunch. The facility is beatify and clean. I’d say pack a light rain jacket just in case. It was a bit cooler when we went but the thermal pools are plenty warm to still swim in. The drive might be a little long if you’re staying on the coast but you won’t regret it.
The Experience was great. Hike is very pleasant. A lot of birds. Hot springs was my favorite part.
Absolutely Outstanding Experience! Our guides Pablo Issac and Martin very knowledgeable about the Eco-System and all facets of the Rain Forest! I highly recommend this experience
It was truly one of my most favourite experiences I have ever done. True nature experience The mineral baths were beautiful. Pablo Isaac and Martin were such lovely people and very knowledgable. We learned a lot. A true sanctuary. Would go back again.
I am fortunate to have had this experience inside nature’s wilderness on the grounds of an active volcano. We were welcomed at a luxurious foyer of facilities, storage, changing and shower rooms. Guides Pablo, Isaac and Martin armed with deep ecological knowledge of foliage and wild life in this rain forest. More importantly, the ecological protection at Sensoria. A 1.5 hr (returned) moderate level walk with stick to Buenos Aires Falls which was breathtaking. The immensity and beauty of water overwhelms as we walked gently inside the falls. 3 Large untreated healing pools of minerals were spectacular in beauty and feel, each one with water cascading out of immense rock formations. At the end of our journey, drenched, we’re greeted with warm pool, towels and robes aligned with some snacks and 2 bottles of Moet et Chandon as we soaked in the final warm mineral pool. Followed by a beautiful lunch watching video of Sensoria’s purpose in preservation of wild life gives you that wonderful feeling to share in purpose. The amazing Pablo then returned us to Tamarindo.
We booked the Jaguar Luxury experience and had a great time. Our guides Isaac and Martin were great. At the last pool, we had delicious snacks and a bottle of champagne (definitely worth the cost). They had robes and towels for us to use, and the guides left us to ourselves with a radio to call them when we were ready. One word of caution- you definitely need a high(ish)-clearance vehicle if you’re going to drive yourself. The drive out there was long and very bumpy, and almost entirely unpaved.
This is really an amazing location to visit while in Costa Rica. Although the drive up to it is a little rough, the payoff is worth it. You'll be immersed in a fully self-sustained part of the rainforest near the Rincon de la Vieja volcano. Take your time as you take in the natural beauty, flora, and fauna. The hike culminated in a lovely thermal spring which was a great way to relax at the end of the hike. Our guide Daniel was fully invested in his job, and his passion showed. He customized the tour to our needs and patiently explained all the ins and outs of the area. The site is well designed, with changing facilities and showers for after the hike and swim, and a nice lunch awaits you. Getting into nature is a key experience in Costa Rica, and this will not disappoint.
One of the most memorable experiences I've ever had and my friends agree. We were a group of 5 women and we booked the private jagual pool experience with transport. The ride from Tamarindo was ~3.5 hours but it was comfortable and they stop by a market that you can buy souvenirs and sample or buy coffee. Our driver Pablo was very kind and went above and beyond explaining different landmarks and towns that we would pass through. He even stopped a few times for us to take pictures on the way and pointed out wildlife and natural occurrences to us. We saw toucans on our way in and out! When we got to Sensoria we were greeted by fresh blackberry juices and we got changed and went on our hike. You get to choose whether you want a more hiking focused tour or if you want to spend more time in the pools. The facilities were very clean and you're provided with lockers, towels, and robes at the end. The guide was very knowledgeable but clear that there is no guarantee that we would see wildlife. It was still very educational and we saw some birds, lizards, snake, etc. The 3 pools that we toured were pristine. Water was crystal clear and we really enjoyed it. I am a weak swimmer but was able to stay on some of the shallow parts of the pools. They provided fresh fruits, cheese platter and champagne at the last pool and we got to spend a good amount of time at each. Lunch was served at the main house. We all opted for the traditional costa rican lunch and enjoyed the tender chicken and rice and beans. The place was really quiet. We were the only ones there that day. It was definitely not your typical overcrowded touristy excursion. We had an amazing time! The property is simply gorgeous and the service was phenomenal.
Absolutely breathtaking if you like picking, nature and adventure definitely recommend. Paul, our guide was very knowledgeable and professional.
This is extremely unique and nothing like anything else you can book. I highly recommend the private and luxury add ons - it is WELL worth it! Daniel was our guide and he was 10000% perfect. His passion for the rainforest touched our souls and we fell more in love with this beautiful country. The food was delicious and the view from the treehouse actually brought me to tears. This is an amazing experience.
Our tour guide name was Pablo. He was outstanding. Thank you for your hard work . He even took a beautiful photo of us. We saw a Beautiful country. Highly recommended the private tour.
Our guide for our private tour was Wakeen, he was very knowledgeable on everything that goes on in a rain forest and we enjoyed his company. Went to the volcanic pools, waterfalls, hiked and a very good lunch. The Sensoria experience was well worth the money and long drive was made very enjoyable by our driver Pablo. We highly recommend!!!
It was really great and Ramond our tour man was amazing at his job. Would 100% recommend to a friend.
Absolutely amazing experience. We loved every minute of it! We had a wonderful driver and extremely knowledgeable guide.
Awesome experience. Our guides were amazing and extremely knowledgeable. Will definitely do this trip again.
A must do! Beautiful scenic ride, then a stop at a local bakery for an amazing cup of coffee and desserts! Then off to the adventure. There we were greeted with welcome drinks and our personal guide Raymond. We took off prepared with walking sticks and detailed instructions on what to expect. The tree house was breathtaking. The hike to the blue waterfall was unreal! Then we ended our hike with our jaguar pool, personalized with robes, towels a bottle of champagne and our own cascade with lit up pool. It felt like a dream the entire time! Romantic, adventurous, educational. Must be ok with a thousand hiking steps but they were not unmanageable. Overall Raymond , the staff ended our night with a wagu burger and a delicious fruit drink. A private ride back to the hotel. Safe, worth every dollar !!
Sensoria was really fun for our family! Our tour guide’s name was Raymond, and he was very informative and courteous! We also went in really warm pools! Sensoria is really amazing! Highly recommended.
Amazing experience! The hike was great and the waterfall beautiful. The service was terrific. They let us go at our own pace and were very attentive and informative. The pools were lovely. Pablo was a fabulous driver. So nice.
The most amazing day! Daniel and Luis were fantastic guides, we learned so much. The hike to the waterfalls was incredible and then to have a bottle of wine and snacks at our own private mineral pool. The day was then finished off with a beautiful lunch. I have to go back one day wasn’t enough.
Great experience! A lot of hiking if you do the 4.5, but worth it when you come to the end with the thermal pool and even better if you do the wine/cheese option. Definitely bring extra clothes & especially socks! Wonderful guides!
Tour guides and Driver; Antonio, Ededuardo and Kaylee were all great! Kaylee is an excellent, skilled very focused driver! Tour guides Antonio and his assistant Ededuardo were highly knowledgeable and answered many questions of our curious minds, extremely attentive and courteous. The hiking trail was mystical with breathtaking waterfalls! The final thermal pool with drinks and snacks, robes and towels added the extra air of luxury to an already wonderful and dream-like experience! This tour is a highly recommended!
Joaquin and Pablo made the entire experience amazing from start to finish. The amount of knowledge that both of these men possessed and how they were Soo excited to share it made the experience that much more memorable for us. The private experience is truly beautiful and what the mission is at Sensoria is commendable.
Enjoyed everything that Sensoria had to offer. The hike through the forest was the perfect distance. We loved getting in all the pools to cool off a bit. Very glad we upgraded to the luxury package to enjoy the Jaguar pool with snacks and a bottle of wine. Joaquin was very knowledgeable and friendly pointing out thing was certainly would have missed. Lunch was delicious and wish I could have finished the large chicken wrap.
Me and my girlfriend had an amazing experience! It was truly amazing having both Isaac and Johnny accompany and share this experience with us! They were wonderful and have great personalities.
Joaquin, our guide was amazing! He explained all about the eco system and animals of the rainforest. We swam in some waterfalls and beautiful thermal pools! The food and drinks were really good and the rainforest was beautiful! We saw 2 beautiful eyelash vipers!
This was the most magical day my daughter and I could have ever wished for. Our tour guide Paulo was absolutely AMAZING. He educated us about all the wild life in the jungle, plants, history and was just a pleasure to hike with throughout the day. He was so helpful and kind. Swimming by the waterfalls was out of this world and so were the lagoons. We were so thrilled with everything and the memories will live forever. Unforgettable day to spend with my daughter.
Very nice scenes, the walk is definitely a moderate walk, not easy. Isaac wasn't a good tour guide, he barely talked to us, didnt even said bye. Ticos, not really worth the money.
This was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica! Joaquin guided us through this magical place filled with natural beauty. The bluest waterfalls, the most lovely thermal pools, and the gorgeous forest. We choose the luxury experience with private swim pool and wine/snacks at the end. It was pure perfection. Cannot recommend highly enough. The only tough part was the drive up. You can get transport from hotels, but we choose to drive. The final 45 minutes is bumpy, unpaved terrain, so be sure your rental can handle it if you choose to drive. Worth every bump in the road. As Joaquin reminded us, ‘The toughest roads lead to the most beautiful places.’ He was right!
Great tour, the hike was beautiful. After you get your own thermal pool with a small waterfall to relax in with only your party which was the best part!! Pablo and Issac were great tour guides too.
Fantastic tour! A must see if you are in the area. We were picked up from the Papagayo Peninsula and taken to Sensoria. We participated in the Sensoria: Luxury Rainforest Land of Senses Walking and Thermals Tour. Our guide Joaquin shared so much information about the rainforest and Sensoria during our guided tour. We saw Toucans, a Motmot, lizards, etc. Snacks and lunch were plentiful and Delicious. The pools and waterfalls were beautiful. Definitely a 5-Star experience.
Sensoria was beautiful and our tour guide Paulo was great. The rainforest was stunning and the waterfalls, private pool and chef lunch were all amazing. The hike is very moderate just a lot of stairs going up and down. I highly recommend booking the private tour, it’s worth it. The only downside was the drive from our hotel (W Reserva Conchal) was 3 hours one way and 4 hours back and the ride gets VERY bumpy especially 30-45 min from sensoria. If you get carsick take drenamine with you. Other than that, it was fantastic!
This was the highlight of my trip. One of the best experiences ever, and I’ve travelled to many countries and done many excursions. Our tour guides were amazing and very accommodating. I even lost my wallet in the car, and they brought it back to me the next day. The hike was moderately challenging. There are parts with steps, but the guides were very patient and took many rest stops. There are multiple thermal pools throughout the hike and you end in a private thermal pool with alcohol and appetizers. You have as long as you’d like to enjoy. The hike goes in a big circle so you end 5 mins from the starting point. Dinner is served at the end. The pools are not that deep and you can stand on your tip toes. I would recommend bringing water shoes and a waterproof phone pouch. Book now! It was unforgettable.
This was one of the best tours we have done. Everyone associated with the tour - the operator, driver, guide were all very courteous and friendly. The rain forest hike was truly amazing - we are from Seattle area and we have wonderful forests but this one was a rich, lush tropical rain forest! The highlight was a nice surprise at the end with the private natural warm water pool, champagne, snacks etc.! We weren’t expecting this and so was such a pleasant surprise and we will remember this. Please do take good rain gear and hiking shoes - it does rain heavily when it rains! Thanks to everyone who put this amazing experience together!
The most incredible experience I’ve ever had. Pablo and Mauricio were our guides and they were amazing. We learned about different plants and wildlife during our hike and had such a relaxing experience in the thermal pools. Lunch was fabulous as well. You must experience this amazing tour if you visit Costa Rica.
We went to Sensoria and thought it was fantastic, particularly our tour guide, Pablo. He was very knowledgeable and incredibly service-oriented. This is amazing given we were his first tour…he has a very bright future!!!
We had Pablo as our tour guide and absolutely loved the experience. He took the time to teach us about animals, plants and the culture. The views in sensoria were stunning! Thank you for the great time pablo!
Our experience started off great even before we got there because our driver, Pablo was educating and pointing out things to our group the entire trip. Once we arrived, the grounds were pristine, listening to the chorus of monkeys. The hike is 5+ miles, I suggest proper shoes, with another person who makes sure to uncover every rock and leaf. You definitely leave with an amazing experience swimming in the springs and waterfalls, delicious meal from the 5 star chef and a thirst to learn even more about the Land of Senses.
Amazing, once in a lifetime experience. Pablo, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, nearly fluent in English, and was able to answer any question we had about the native plants and animals. While driving to the location we spotted a sloth above the road which was great to see. On our way out of the location he heard a toucan and we were able to see that. We saw spider monkeys, rare birds and other creatures. The location is incredible and if you are lucky enough to have Pablo, the experience will be unforgettable.
What a peaceful way to spend a day learning about Costa Rica's environment. Our guide, Joaquin was knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the trail and ensured we had a great experience. The waterfall was spectacular, and refreshing, and the pools were so relaxing. Highly recommend Sensoria if you're visiting Costa Rica and want a unique, environmentally responsible tour.
Let me start of by saying it is such a beautiful tour. Our tour guides Issac and Luis were great. They explained everything to us and we’re very patient. (We took a lot of pictures) Issac and Luis also offered to take pictures of our group along the way. Prior to the hike some of our group was a little worried that the hike it self would be to “hard” trust me if you think it will be too hard it’s not! It has certain points where we were a little out of breath but only for 2-3 minutes. It’s not hard at all so for anyone reading this who things they don’t want to do because it might be too difficult of a hike believe me, you can do it! We decided to go for the “luxury package”. Trust me when i say it was completely worth every penny. We got our own private pool along with 2 bottles of wine and a cheese and crackers plate. We were having such a good time we decided to order an additional bottle of wine lol. While swimming in our own private pool Luis and Issac took pictures of us with our phones while swimming but also gave us privacy when we needed it. It was truly one of the most wonderful experiences me and my group have experienced. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
We took a private tour, just three of us. Hernan was our guide and he was terrific. Very kind and knowledgeable. He showed us many animals and told us much about the plants and the jungle. He also took fantastic pictures, both with his camera, which he shared with us, and with my camera. He is definitely a skilled photographer and can do things I cannot do with an iPhone camera. We went at our own pace and had plenty of time to enjoy the waterfalls and pools. The hiking was moderately challenging, mostly because of several steep stairways. No special hiking skills needed, but a little bit of fitness is necessary to do the long version of the trail. Overall, very enjoyable and worthwhile.
This tour was absolutely breathtaking! Words cannot express truly how magical the experience was. The hike to the waterfall which is the first stop is roughly 3.5 miles and is moderately difficult as you will be going up and down a lot of steps but it’s so worth it! After you see the waterfall, you then will stop at 3 pools which are breathtaking and incredibly refreshing after the hike. We purchased the private tour that comes with champagne afterwards and it was just lovely. When you’re done, they take you back to the main house for a hole cooked meal of your choice (they provide options) and some refreshing drinks. They also have a cute book to write about your experience! Our tour guide Genesis was so lovely and full of knowledge! She definitely made the tour so much more fun!
Wow - what an amazing place. We saw sloths, snakes, toucans, and so many beautiful flowers. The hike itself was perfect as well. I love to hike and at first I thought it was going to be too short, but there is so much time spent looking around, swimming in the thermal pools, and learning about the surroundings that I felt satisfied by the time we got back to the main facility. Our tour guide was amazing as well; he was so knowledgeable about different plants, species, and general history of Costa Rica aaaand he was so personal and kind. This place gave me and my new wife an unforgettable experience!
The Sensoria Land of Senses is a great thing to experience. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and expressed himself extremely well in both French and English. Just keep in mind that the hike is not moderate as we were told, it the has a lot of going ups and downs stairs, some stairs are steep, Which was not expected but we were OK with it. The other thing to keep in mind is this is a transitional rain forest temperature maybe cooler, unfortunately the day we went it was hot and because of the heat we did not see any animals that we were hoping to see. the thermal springs were extremely enjoyable and relaxing after the hike. The meal was excellent no, complaint there. This is full day excursion, leave at 7:30 AM and back after anytime after 5 PM, it is a long bus drive and when the tour guide was joking about a Costarican message, he was talking he was referring to the last 30 to 40 minutes before arriving at the Park, the road is rough and you will be bounced around. If you do not to spend hours on a bus ride this may not be for you.
Unadulterated rain forest full of amazing wildlife ,trees , lagoons, falls and a guide who was able to explain the geography, history ,names and medicinal properties of most of the vegetation . The more than 6 hour hike did not seem long and cumbersome due to the exciting and interesting nature to explore and experience. The guide was very considerate in ensuring a slow pace with frequent rests and dips in the cool lagoons and falls. The trip was perfectly highlighted and topped off by a private session in the Jaguar thermal pool to rejuvenate the mind and body with excellent food, wine and a warm dip in the natural thermal pool surrounded chirping birds, insects and a warm breeze and small of the rain forest. Yes definitely a sensational experience in the land of the senses including the complete mind, body and soul .
Extraordinary experience, highly recommended by having total contact with nature and harmony of all senses.
Excellent Service and beautiful places surrounded by peace and nature, perfect to connect with it. The whole tour was guided and Joaquin provided us with the best care.
