We had a lovely time with the crew! Pecha was a wonderful captain, Kooka was kind and very helpful, and Adrian showed us so many wonderful sea creatures. We were lucky enough to have the boat to ourselves, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Will definitely be telling our friends!

Our recent sailing, snorkeling, and swimming experience on the Sea Bird was amazing. Riley and all the crew were extremely helpful and service oriented. The boat is clean and spacious and the crew knowledgeable and very informative. Despite the recent stormy weather, we were able to snorkel with sea turtles and a variety of fish inclusive of parrot and puffer fish. The snacks were fresh and delicious and being able to chose a beverage of our choice is always a bonus. Thank you for such and amazing day.

The crew was lovely - welcoming, gracious and professional. They were accommodating and helpful. BUT… we paid $200+ EACH for this experience and it was not at all worth that much. If we had paid $75-100 each, this would be a 5 star review. I suspect that we were the only customers paying that much as the trip was not yet full a few days before and then suddenly was full.

We had an amazing time inboard the Sea Bird with Pecho and the crew! Super fun time for our family of five and ages 17 to 75! Pecho was a great guide, the weather was perfect and the guacamole was the best ever.

This was the best excursion during our trip to Costa Rica. We felt like we were VIP. The owner paid attention to all details and the service was impeccable. The crew was highly experienced sailing the boat and we always felt safe. We even had a snorkeling guide who would dive down and show us interesting things to see. After a vigorous snorkel, we were treated to fresh watermelon, pineapple, sandwich wraps, chips, bean dip, and the best guacamole we ever had. We enjoyed speaking to Leslie, the owner, who is so personable and lovely. She made dynamite mimosas for us, too!

On our recent trip to Costa Rica, we took an afternoon sailing cruise With Riley and his crew. It was the most amazing experience. I looked at other cruises but they were for large groups. Our cruise had 6, which gave us a chance to get the real sailing experience. The boat was a 47' footer which gave us a lot of space to move around. First, we sailed for about an hour to get to the beach where we could snorkel. This was my first time to it. The crew were vary helpful in getting me setup and coached me until I was comfortable. This was an experience that I will never forget. After that, the crew had prepared fresh tropical fruit and other snacks. We then sailed back to the harbor where we saw a sunset that was the most beautiful sight. If you want an intimate trip to get the feel of sailing and not be in a large group, this is the one! Our sailing excursion with Sea Bird was absolutely superb and one of the most memorable days of our holiday - one we will remember for many years to come. The sail boat itself was spacious, clean and felt so luxurious. We saw heaps of dolphins up close, swimming alongside the boat, went snorkelling and saw a cave. The crew were so friendly and professional the whole time, and they kept serving drinks and we had delicious food to eat.

Sunset and snorkeling cruise was amazing. Crew was attentive and knowledgeable. Food was great. Lots of drink choices. Saw lots of fish while snorkeling Excellent!!!

The crew was exceptional, locals and very knowledgeable. The boat was fine but could use some TLC. The ladder getting on and off the boat didn't appear to be safe. Good value for money. We would do it again.

What a great afternoon on Seabird! Our family group of 9 loved it. From sailing, swimming at the sandy beach, ocean fun with noodles, snacks and drinks, topped off by a beautiful sunset. Our crew was so accommodating! This was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica.

Our family of 5 had a lovely morning sailing and snorkeling with this crew. They were very attentive ensuring we always had a drink in hand. The water was warm so nobody got chilled while snorkeling. We mainly saw schools of colourful fish and spikey sea urchins. The fresh fruit and guacamole and chips were also a highlight. The wind picked up on the way back and we sailed all the way back to Coco.

This is a must-do if you spend some time in Playa Del Coco! We did the sunset sail with Seabird Sailing and saw the best sunset of our trip. We got a chance to snorkel and see some great fish, followed by snacks and sunset cocktails on our way back to Coco. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with. We will be booking this again on our next trip to Costa Rica.

What could be better than a cruise on the seven seas? A cruise with a fantastic crew and beautiful beaches, that's what! We left from Playa del Coco and the rest is just a dream. The crew was not only bilingual but incredibly friendly and accommodating. When the jellyfish showed up at our first beach they set sail for an alternate location which was stunning and hard to get to unless you go by boat. The boat was rock solid and my wife, who is prone to motion sickness, was 100% fine. Drinks, snacks, snorkeling and laughs filled the morning. 100% recommend.

Our private tour with another company cancelled on us 15 minutes before departure (a medical emergency, not their fault) and Sea Bird responded to our call for help and pulled their crew together with little notice for an amazing afternoon snorkel and sail! They saved the day and, since our older daughter is learning to sail, their vessel and snorkel tour turned out to be the highlight of our week in CR. The crew was so attentive, Dave was a great guide/host, and the snacks and beverages were the icing on the cake. Our younger daughter looked like she’d won the lottery when she climbed aboard and hopped into the hammock! So much fun and an incredible last day of our trip! Thanks Wendy, Dave and crew!

Nice experience, very quick response, good price, friendly staff! We were late for booking something on December 31th to say goodbye to 2020! Wendy was so gentle and helpful! This was a best way to finish the year! On the sailing boat with friends and champagne!

I’ve been on the Seabird several times always have a fun time! Very friendly, helpful crew! My favorite part is laying in the hammocks after a fun time snorkeling, playing on the beach and eating some yummy food!!

We went out for the morning sail / snorkel tour. My partner and I are new boat owners and got very interested in the stories of boat ownership in Costa Rica and how the ketch sails. The crew showed us how to crew the Seabird - helm and raise/lower sails - but unfortunately we had almost no wind! Instead of adventure we did get an incredibly relaxing morning - swinging in the hammocks, drinking mimosas, looking out for turtles and jumping mobula rays. We had good snorkelling conditions and spotted stingrays, an eel, and several schools of fish. Thanks Wendy, Dave and team!

Just finished a phenomenal sailboat ride and snorkeling tour. I brought by 7 year old daughter and Dave, Wendy, and the crew provided a fantastic experience. They constantly ensured that all guests had plenty to eat and drink and were having a good time. We saw lots of devil rays jumping out of the water on the way out and on the way back dolphins and turtles. The snorkeling was also a great and very safe experience. Would love to do it again sometime!

The sunset cruise was incredible and our family of 7 has a great time. We were personally met in Playas Coco and escorted to a spacious 53 foot boat. I enjoyed hanging out in the hammock while the family was snorkeling! Thank you Wendy and David! We will be back.

A group of friends (who live in Costa Rica) decided to head to the beach for a few days to celebrate some birthdays. We had some water-loving friends in the group so we thought the sail trip would be the perfect activity! A storm was coming through, but we were very fortunate and the weather was great for us. We sailed in the protected cove which really helped with the big waves. We were able to get out and swim and really had a good time. Plenty of drinks and food and fun!

Had a great excursion on the seabird yesterday, Was a 9 am to 2:30 pm trip. We saw humback whales and listened to them sing, Devil Rays, turtles during the cruise. When snorkleling we saw tons of fish and got lucky to see a zebra ell. We went south on this excursion and had good visilitity snorkleling. The open bar and the lunch was great. good music and perfect weather, was a perfect trip. The crew were super nice and helfull and ensure we all had a safe and memorable time. Thank you for this awesome excursion Seabird.

We went on a late morning, early afternoon cruise with Dave and Wendy and their excellent crew. It was a wonderful, fun and relaxing cruise and snorkel experience. The whole crew was friendly and helpful. Yummy fresh fruit served on the way out, beautifully cut, I might add. We went to a beautiful secluded beach and did some fun snorkeling. Ample time to play and snorkel in the water. A delicious lunch was provided with ample portions. Plenty of snacks and drinks too. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. Will definitely go again!

A great breakfast cruise, swimming and snorkeling at Playa Juevos, continental breakfast and marvelous lunch. Wendy and Dave are great hosts!

My boyfriend and I did the early morning sail that ended around 1pm. The two owners met us on the beach and gave us very clear instructions on where/when to meet. The afternoon sail was lovely and very relaxing. With plenty of places to sit (grab the hammocks at the stern of the boat) and drinks/snacks galore we were very content. Although we got a grey day in November, it was still beautiful to see all the islands and the Four Seasons resort. We did see some dolphins, but not many fish. The snorkeling part was fun, although mine was short lived due to a jelly fish sting. They took photos for us on the boat and beach and then sent them to our emails. A husband and wife team, they were very honest and salt of the earth people. I liked supporting their new lifestyle in Costa Rica in exchange for a lovely sail. While this wasn't the most "professional" excursion, its Costa Rica, do you want professional???

After several days of activities it was nice to have a laid back afternoon with Sea Bird Sailing. The crew was great, the scenery was beautiful and the sunset was perfect. Just the right mix of beverages, snacks, snorkeling and views.

Pleasant 3 hour sail (mostly motor assisted) from Playas del Coco north into the bay with turnaround near the Four Seasons. Nice snorkeling with lots of fish at turnaround area. Friendly crew generous with beverages and snacks. Beautiful sunset experience.

It’s an ok cruise and snorkeling. Nothing to write home about. A bit of advice for the owners, when leading a group of snorkelers it helps if the guide points fish out and knows something about them and their habitat. Interact with your guests more. We were rushed off the beach due to the crew not keeping track of time, definitely was not a fan of that.

We undertook this sunset sailing excursion with our 92 yr elder who had experienced the utmost care and attention given by the crew & captain throughout the trip. Towards the return sail the winds increased with rolling waves - and at all times 100% comfort and safety experienced due to our amazing captain of the SeaBird. A most enjoyable trip. The sunset spectacular!! Thank you Captain and Crew

Very relaxing cruise and enjoyable snorkeling experience with a number of different species of fish around. Goodies and drinks included. Wendy even brought a velcro strap to help me secure my tensor bandage on my sprained ankle which allowed me to enjoy the snorkeling despite my injury the day before. I am really happy that I didn't cancel! I highly recommend this captain and crew and next time I would like to try the sunset excursion too.

Great cruise and wonderful service! From the initial arrangements to snorkeling with beautiful tropical fish to the beautifully timed photo op for the sunset, it was a top-notch experience. Owners David and Wendy Carter went above and beyond to make our experience special and it really was!

From the easy meet up point on the beach and to completion of the cruise .... Dave and his crew were fantastic! Once on board....we were waited on hand and foot ! Relaxing with a rum drink in my hand on our way to go snorkeling! They took us to a neat cove! The water color was unique and so fun to see the volcanic rock under water with plentiful sea life! The trip back was relaxing with snacks and drinks and a perfectly timed return for sun set photos and moments to just enjoy! Do MIss Ya'll! Wendy is great to work with when arranging a group or small intimate sail!

The tour was perfect for our group of 6. We took an afternoon excursion with them to a private sandy beach and enjoyed snorkeling and then the sail back in with a beautiful sunset. The crew was friendly, attentive and always there with fresh fruit, snacks and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing trip out of Playas Del Coco and will book a trip with them again if we find ourselves back in this beautiful area. Thanks Wendy, Dave and Crew — you were awesome!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our sunset sail with owners Wendy & Dave and their great crew. The sail was relaxing with drinks and snacks including time for a swim & snorkel. If you're looking for a couples or group sail out of Coco......then book on the Sea Bird.

We took the Sail and Snorkel Tour out of Playas Del Coco. The Seabird is a lovely smaller intimate boat, the crew was awesome! They took us to a cove where there were so many fish and also a beautiful beach with caves to explore. We had a great day! Thank you Seabird Sailing!

We took a mid-day snorkeling adventure with Sea Bird sailing excursions and it was an excellent trip! The crew was friendly and helpful with our group of 10 people. Highly recommended- by far the best excursion we did in Playas del Coco.
