Royal Charters: The Premier Yacht Charter In Costa Rica

I was part of a group of 5 couples who chartered their 51-foot private yacht/catamaran out of Tamarindo. What an amazing experience. We went out for a 5 hour charter on Monday and loved it so much we went again on Wednesday. I highly recommend!

Captain Lewis and his crew (Luis and Enerson) were absolutely amazing, super friendly and accommodating. The boat ride was awesome great scenery and snorkeling spots. The food and beverage service was absolutely top notch. Totally worth it!

Amazing charter thanks to an incredible crew! The boat exceeded our expectations and we got to see incredibly beautiful coves and water but what made it so special was the service provided by Luis the Captain, the other Luis and the third crew member. We sailed on our second sunset cruise with Royal Charters after having an amazing experience last year, and somehow this one was able to top the last! The crew was friendly, attentive and everything you could hope for on a luxury cruise. Our two 16-year-old boys got to swim, paddle board and troll for fish. They ended up snagging an amberjack which was really exciting! The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful with fresh Costa Rican staples that hit just right after spending time in the water. The sunset view is one of the most beautiful ones we have ever experienced. It was the perfect ending to our amazing Spring Break stay in Costa Rica, and we look forward to booking again next year!

Royal Charters delivered on all fronts. We took the afternoon sunset cruise from 1-6. The crew was on time, friendly, helpful, and professional. The boat was clean and well kept. The kids were able to snorkel and paddle board, but the best part was the trip back at sunset. The views are truly incredible. It's not a cheap day on the water, but it ended up being the highlight of our trip.

We booked this for a bachelorette party and it was hands down the highlight of our entire trip. From start to finish, everything was beyond perfect. Randall, Alvaro, and Denis were incredible. They brought the best energy, kept the drinks flowing, and made sure the vibes stayed immaculate the entire time. They were not only fun and engaging, but also so attentive and accommodating, making sure everyone felt comfortable, taken care of, and safe. The food was amazing, the experience was seamless, and every single detail exceeded our expectations. You can tell they genuinely care about creating an unforgettable experience. 10000/10 would absolutely book again and recommend to anyone without hesitation. Our only regret is not booking a longer trip.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday with family and friends, and Royal Charters exceeded every expectation. The yacht is stunning, but the crew truly stole the show—they even went above and beyond by decorating the boat for the occasion! A huge highlight was the captain’s choice of anchorage; he found a top-notch, secluded location for us to 'park' and enjoy the water. Between the stunning views and the perfect swimming spot, it felt like our own private paradise. With a top-shelf open bar and incredible locally sourced food, we were treated like royalty from start to finish. If you are looking for a premier, high-end experience in CR, look no further!

Had an awesome time. From the time they came to pick us up at our house, all 27 of us, drop us off at the boat pickup area and then a return trip home the Captain and crew were top notch. Very professional, attentive, and friendly. Made sure we had a good time and felt relaxed. Which we did. Food was delicious and drinks quenched our thirst. We did the full day charter, which I totally recommend, but it was over before we knew it. Could have stayed a few more hours! I highly recommend Royal Charters for an experience you will love! We had a group of 27 friends that did the whole day boat charter. We can’t say enough about the company and crew. From booking to the end of the day everything was perfect. We had plenty of room to move about the boat and it never felt crowded. The captain and crew were top notch. They were attentive and fun! Every one of us would recommend this charter. Do it!

We had the most amazing day with Royal Charters for my husband’s 50th birthday! Our group of 20 included family and friends spanning all ages — from kids to grandparents — and the crew went above and beyond to make sure everyone was cared for. Captain Taca kept everything smooth and safe, even when we had to reschedule due to weather. It turned into a blessing, because Thursday (Oct 30) gave us a perfect day at sea. We even extended the trip by two extra hours and still didn’t want it to end! The crew — Alvaro, Luis, and Alvarez — were outstanding. Alvaro took incredible photos and even kept a watchful eye on our energetic 10-year-old. Luis and Alvarez made sure everyone had drinks, food, and fun, while also taking special care of my husband’s mom in her 70s, who has some mobility issues. The kids were thrilled to catch fish, which the crew prepared into the freshest sashimi on board. The food overall was excellent, and the hospitality unmatched. This was a five-star experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for the best yacht charter in Costa Rica, I cannot recommend Royal Charters enough. They turned a milestone birthday into an unforgettable memory for our whole family.

A perfect afternoon sail with Royal Charters began with pickup from Playa Flamingo of our group of nine. We enjoyed the most delicious mojitos as we sailed out of the bay to a secluded beach up the coast. We anchored there for swimming, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. Meanwhile the crew prepared an early dinner which we all thought was one of the best meals of our trip! The crew of three was warm and professional with attention to the safety of everyone on board. The boat was clean and luxurious with plenty of room and options for lounging, either in shade or sun. After dinner we chased the sunset to the dramatic rocks off the coast, and were joined by playful dolphins off the bow. Just magical.

The highlight of the vacation. Erick, Oscar and Alvaro were fabuloso! So attentive , they make excellent drinks and food. They gave us the experience of a lifetime. They are helpful and kind and full of laughs. Guacamole is beyond delicious, and the rum punch is so refreshing. The staff to book and accommodate was quick and friendly answering questions. We got the best sunset pictures and were not rushed at any point on the day.

We had the most magical day celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary! Captain Erick was knowledgeable and so friendly! Food was amazing, and we saw sea life galore! Thousands of rays, sea turtles, tuna and the best was the whales! Couldn’t have asked for a better day! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! Thanks to Magaly and Alvaro for taking such great care of us! We enjoyed every minute of our all-day trip on this beautiful yacht. The boat is incredible and the staff were so attentive - awesome food and drinks. The wind was strong on the day we went and they still found us some snorkel spots. We had so much fun!!! Oh my goodness Lucas, George (Fefe) and Oscar were awesome! They made our trip feel like we were at home! Outstanding day out finishing with a great sunset. Couldn’t fault anything. The food was great, captain and staff extremely helpful and loved the snorkeling and swimming off the boat. The boat itself is very comfortable with multiple places to sit, relax and enjoy the sun.

Such an amazing experience! The boat was beautiful and the crew was absolutely awesome! The food was great and the hospitality was incredible! Booking this excursion was worth every penny and we are already looking forward to our next trip!

This was our favorite activity we did on a 10 day tour with 29 high school students! The crew were amazing and went above and beyond to take care of all our needs. From refilling our drinks, cooking an amazing meal (best one I had the whole trip), shuttling our kiddos to the beach, and helping with water activities, they did an excellent job! Our students loved their time on the boat and we will definitely be booking all our future student groups with Royal Charters. The boat was beautiful, in amazing shape, and had ample room for all 32 of us to find a comfy spot to relax and get shade when needed. A must do in Guanacaste!

So glad I found this on trip advisor, it was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica vacation. These guys were totally pro, safety conscious, and fun! It was a great day, we caught fish, danced, lounged in the ocean, you are in very good hands. Its a splurge, but worth it.

This was REALLY a great charter! We did the Sunset Cruise with 8 adults and 5 children and we ALL had a great time! The boat itself was very nice, very clean, and better than I anticipated! The crew was very professional, helpful and had a great serving attitude - always offering to serve us drinks or food often! Absolutely incredible. We took 32 friends and family members on this boat for an afternoon and it far exceeded any expectations we could have had. The boat alone was perfect, so clean, everything well maintained, just overall really above and beyond. There was plenty of sitting space both inside and out, low and high, so even with our large group everyone was very comfortable and had lots of room. From the moment we arrived on to the boat to the moment we left you are treated like royalty, the staff of this boat were on it! Always around for anything you may want or need, and made sure your cup was never empty. This boat was also full of all the water toys we needed, which lead to an afternoon full of laughs and fun in the water! Which lead to a delicious taco lunch, the food was perfect and kept everyone fed and satisfied all afternoon long! Then to top it all off the ride back as the sunset came through....it really doesnt get much better than that !! This was a day thats memories will live rent free in my head forever !! cant recommend enough !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING !!!

Private tour with the most amazing crew. They spoil you and will be pending all the time that you are having the best time. They have a party float mat that is perfect to be in the ocean enjoying your drink.

Definitely one of the most fun experiences my friends and I had in our trip to Costa Rica. The yatch is big, clean, comfortable, and it has wifi. They have all the amenities to have an amazing day at the sea, so you can lay in the sun and enjoy the views, go for a swim, snorkel, or enjoy a drink in the shade. I would specially like to thank the crew, because they made it feel like a very exclusive experience, yet they were welcoming and charming. They started the day with a security briefing, and served us a beautiful breakfast. They also prepared a delicious lunch and drinks. They gave us a snorkel tour and helped us with everything we needed. We saw many fish, dolphins, and a few turtles. Really, we had an amazing day! Thank you!!

The highlight of our trip to Costa Rica! It was a perfect mix of relaxation and activities. The crew was so attentive to our kids and made their snorkeling experience something they are still talking about. They saw starfish, baby lobsters, tons of fish and even ate an oyster off the ocean floor. Lunch was freshly prepared on board and it was delicious. A day on the water that ends with dolphins chasing the boat and a beautiful sunset is good for the soul!

Like the other reviews said, this was our favorite day of our vacation. We informed Royal Charters our trip was for a bachelorette and they went above and beyond for us before we even arrived. They were able to decorate the boat for us pre-arrival, as well as accommodate our many food restrictions. The captain said everyone is family on the yacht and we really felt like it. They laughed with us, took a million and one pics/videos for us, danced with us– Ultimately, they took really good care of us. I would do this excursion everyday single day if I could.
