You’ll arrive at Restaurante Pleamar where you will be warmly welcomed by our crew and invited to take a short panga ride to our mooring location in Flamingo Marina. Here Pegasus - our newly restored, stylish and comfortable 52ft French Sailing Yacht - will be ready and waiting for you. On boarding Pegasus you’ll be offered a welcome drink before our crew take you through a short orientation; we’ll tell you important safety information, show you the boats amenities, explain the spots we will visit and what to expect throughout the day.
As we set sail out of Flamingo we’ll pass beautiful Playa Penca and Penaguaste Island as we head towards Las Catalinas and Honeymoon beach. Here the ocean is rich in colourful and diverse wildlife. It’s often possible to see jumping dolphins, friendly sea turtles, gliding manta rays and breaching whales - keep your eyes peeled! We will select the optimal spot to drop the anchor, based on the days weather and visibility conditions. Here the group can enjoy jumping into the warm glistening waters whilst the crew prepare your lunch. We have a variety of activities to enjoy, including snorkling, stand up paddle boarding and fishing. You can explore the local marine life, venture to hidden unspoilt beaches that are only accessible by water, or simply enjoy relaxing on the boat and taking in Costa Rica’s stunning scenery. If joining us for the evening you’ll enjoy one of Guanacaste’s most famous events from the water; a bold, brilliant and colourfully rich sunset. The sunsets here are unforgettably breathtaking and a famed event!
Once the food has been enjoyed, everyone has had fun playing in the ocean and the sun has set we will lift the anchor and venture back towards Flamingo Marina, whilst keeping an eye out for more marine wildlife along the way.

As a groups of ten, Victor and Rodrigo took us on a private morning tour to a secluded beach. We were provided with a full bar, fresh fruit snacks, and lunch consisting of freshly made burritos and tacos. We snorkeled around rock formations in calm, crystal clear waters. Such a beautiful and relaxing experience. 100% recommended. Thanks guys! Pura Vida!

What a great, personalized experience. We went with a group of two families, and the other family had never been on a boat. Eddy and Rodrigo were so accommodating and friendly. We made unforgettable memories. They had everything we needed on the boat, including GREAT bar drinks and fresh food prepared by Rodrigo. Simply amazing. Sunset was one of the best we've ever seen. The food was very good. The crew were very attentive and professional. The boat was well kept. We snorkeled with Eric and he created a great exeprience showing us Turtles, Puffer fish and Eels.

Rodrigo and Eric are amazing! We booked with them due to the amazing reviews and let me tell you the other reviews are spot on. We arrived at the beach, were promptly picked up and taken to the boat. On board we were greeted with drinks (kid drinks as well for our 3 children - 9, 6 & 4) as well as a large plate of refresh fruit. We enjoyed the boat ride to the snorkeling spot where we saw various fish! Our 4 and 6 year old were nervous snorkeling but Eric was so great with them while Rodrigo was cooking up an amazing lunch on the boat. After snorkeling we enjoyed an amazing lunch and spent time on the beach before heading back. The kids enjoyed some fishing as well. Highly recommend especially for families!

Wow! This was great. Rodrigo, Eddy, & Simon were a fantastic crew. Chill and attentive. We did later in the day being able to catch the beautiful sunset. 10/10 would recommend. Good was yummy. Fully stocked with everything you need for food or drinks. We had two teenagers and they loved every minute being on the water. They had snorkels and a floating mat with noodles. Be sure to bring towels :) could not be happier with our experience with these guys. Thank you so much!
Captain Rodrigo and Eric were great hosts on the Pegasus. Our family had a wonderful and relaxing afternoon and sunset excursion. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and adventurous day on the ocean.
I wish we could give 6 stars - highly recommend booking with Pegasus! We booked the Sunset cruise from 2-6pm and everything from pick-up to drop-off was excellent. The shuttle arrived early, was clean, air-conditioned and our driver Edgar was friendly and recommended many local sodas to us. Once we arrived at the marina, Rodrigo and Eric picked us up on the tender and took us to the boat. We can't say enough great things about our experience. The snorkel spot was beautiful and relaxing and we stayed up until sunset - all of the other boats left before us so we enjoyed the cover all to ourselves for a little while. The food was prepared fresh on board and was very tasty. Eric kept our drinks full and made sure we were always taken care of. Thank you for making our day so fun and memorable. We will definitely be booking we Pegasus next time!

Fabulous time with Rodrigo and mate.Attentive from the start; delicious food - chicken fajitas , fruit plates ,etc… no hungry and better than many restaurants…the views beautiful and wonderful way to experience the area . Sunset was spectacular . Highly recommend this group to anyone considering this activity … i would go again … a highlight of the trip.I can’t think of any ways it could be better
We did the sunset tour and it was fantastic. Rodrigo and Noami were both very courteous, friendly and made the trip enjoyable. The boat was perfect for our group and the food provided was fresh and probably the best food we had on our trip. Drinks were provided and they had a variety and all were very cold! Would highly recommend!

The whole experience was good. The captain and first mate were cordial and accommodating. Booking was easy. The pickup point is at the blue stairs where all the other boats pick up. That isn’t readily apparent from the map. The boat is large but is older. It is not really well equipped for getting in and out of the water to snorkel etc, There seemed to be some confusion at the end of the tour regarding the dinghy to bring us back to shore. This was probably just a fluke.

This was hands down our favorite day in Costa Rica and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From start to finish, the entire crew went above and beyond. The three crew members were incredibly kind, attentive, and fun. Lunch was delicious—freshly made shrimp and grilled chicken tacos, the best homemade guacamole we’ve ever had, and fresh fruit. Drinks were always flowing with plenty of options, and they were happy to grab us anything whenever we asked. They took us to a private cove where Jose helped us snorkel and pointed out the most amazing fish. We swam to the beach to explore, and Caleb even swam out to us with waters and snacks—such a thoughtful touch. They also brought a drone and captured the coolest footage of us on the beach, which we’ll treasure forever. As if that wasn’t incredible enough, when we left the cove Rodrigo spotted a group of humpback whales. The crew got us unbelievably close, and we were lucky enough to watch a baby whale jumping out of the water. It was absolutely breathtaking and something we’ll never forget. To end the day, they brought us to the perfect sunset spot, and Caleb took so many beautiful photos of our family. Every detail was thoughtful, personal, and memorable. We cannot recommend this experience enough—if you’re in Costa Rica, do not miss this. It was magical from beginning to end. 🌊🐋🌅

We booked this expedition on New Year’s Day with my family and a couple of family friends. It was a perfect trip, and everyone on board had a blast. The views were great, food was delicious, drinks were refreshing, and Rodrigo, Joseph, and Simone were the best. We felt safe and well looked after while aboard. We got to snorkel and swim, lay out on a floating pad, walk along the beach, and enjoy good music and company. I 100% recommend booking this boat tour. You will not regret it!! The trip was most certainly the best part of our trip, and I will always remember it!!!
Just book it!! We spent New Year's Eve sunset this year on the Pegasus. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish and our crowd absolutely loved it. Delicious drinks and great food and everything was centered around making sure we had the absolute best time. It was the highlight of our trip!

Amazing experience and kid friendly. We had an absolute blast with Rodrigo and crew. They took amazing care of us from first encounter to dropping us off. We always had a drink in hand and they prepared a wide variety of fresh fruit, snacks and tacos throughout the experience. The boat is great and the scenery is absolutely incredible. And it provided all the equipment we could need to have fun once we stopped including snorkels and a big float to hang out on. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Overall a great value.

We had a wonderful day! We were a group of 10, 5 couples. Rodrigo and his two mates were so nice and attentive. The food was delicious and they kept us hydrated! We stopped to snorkel in a nice bay. As we were headed back, we slowed down to watch the sunset. Beautiful memories!
The crew and captain were locals who were super friendly. Everything was as advertised and they knew exactly what they were doing. Yes the boat is a bit older but I wanted a private tour as opposed to a packed catamaran so this served us well. Recommend them for a private tour.

Our family of 13 did a morning boat ride. The crew was absolutely amazing. They were great with our 6 kids and the food was absolutely amazing. Caleb had a drone and took footage of us all snorkeling and shared it with us. The weather was not conducive for sailing but we still had a great time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a something relaxing to do.
We booked the Pegasus for a private afternoon with some close friends and we absolutely loved. I've done at least 6 sailing tours in the area, and this one easily takes the top spot. Great for small groups and an intimate, private afternoon compared to some of the larger boats that cram on as many people as they can. Cant recommend Rodrigo and his team enough! Hope to do it again soon!
We had a great experience with Ricardo at Economy Car Rental in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica. We reserved a large van for a week while traveling with family. The rental process was timely and courteous. But after renting, we found there was a problem with the sliding door to the back seat; it would not stay closed. We reported this by phone and Ricardo immediately arranged for a brand new van to be brought in from Tamarindo. The exchange happened within the hour and with minimal paperwork. The rest of our rental, including check in, went smoothly.. Good job, Ricardo and Economy!
Capitán Rodrigo and his crew were absolutely awesome. Even on a cloudy morning, they made our cruise a delight. Our family had a great time on the water, snorkeling, eating, drinking, and just taking in the sights. On the way back in to moor, they had been in communication with another boat who had just seen dolphins, so they made sure to navigate us in that direction and we had an incredible experience of sailing alongside a few dolphins! What a joy! Thanks Rodrigo y Javier!
Our sailings excursion was amazingly accommodating. The services were fantastic and food was de-li-cious. Drinks were always available. Crew offered to take photos and they were amazing!!! Highly recommend this sailing experience to highlight the Costa Rican landscape.

Our family chartered the sunset cruise with Captain Rodrigo and Rolfi. It was perfect just so relaxing. The drinks were plentiful, food was tasty, and the service was great. The water was great for swimming and we even got lucky and saw a puffer fish. I would absolutely do this again!
We had the most amazing experience with Victor and Lester. We as a family have been wanting to go on a sail boat and they made our dream come true. The boat is beautiful and clean, Victor made us the most amazing tacos and they were so knowledge about the island and its history. It was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!!

We had a great day with family and a friendly, profession crew. We were able to snorkel, Enjoy a beautiful sunset and have a fresh meal! We were lucky enough to see some whales, as well. This was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica! The crew was polite, knowledgeable, and fun. I think we were really lucky, as we saw whales, dolphins, and sea turtles while sailing, and so many fish, sea urchins, and hermit crabs while snorkeling. Rodrigo and Juan did everything they could to make sure we got the most out of our trip. They new great spots to swim and snorkel, swam out with us, and prepared a meal way yummier than the resort food. If you are an ocean lover, and want a calm and relaxing experience this is definitely worth the extra money compared to a catamaran. We got to see the sea life, snorkel, jump off the boat, float, drink, and enjoy the waves and breeze as we watched a beautiful sunset. By far the best day of our trip!
This would have been OK for 300$ but not for 700$. The crew was very nice, but our tour was closer to 3 hours instead of the promised 4 hours. We were told that they were going to take us to a nice place to do paddleboarding, but instead found ourselves back in the dock and were told it was because of the weather; in this case this should have been explained to us.
Fantastic sail. Victor and Rodrigo were everything you could want in a crew. If you don’t want to be around 30 strangers on a catamaran (which isn’t always bad but it’s a gamble on who is there) then this is for you. Highly recommend. Bring your cameras for a beautiful sunset ( better than the Tamarindo sunset). Thanks guys for an incredible day!!
Not recommended. Captain/owner did not want to send the legal documents on time and when he did, we notice it has a very weak insurance policy. He was very rude to us. We were trying to take a family tour, but HE decided to cancel trip and kept part of the downpayment we had given him to assure booking. Disrespectful and very rude. Bad experience!!!
The very BEST private sunset sailing experience. 10 of us on beautiful sailboat and we truly sailed. This was not a catamaran which usually just motors without getting their sails out. Captain Rodrigo and Viktor were incredible hosts sailing the boat, serving drinks, and a great light meal. Our group throughly enjoyed the experience of a private sail. The value we received for what we paid was fantastic.
