Morning Fishing Half Day Charter

Day one we did a half day fishing with Julian and caught five different varieties of fish. Solid day, lots of action, and a great start. Day two was absolutely next-level. Noah and Julian took us offshore on a three-quarter day trip and it was nonstop adrenaline. Every time the rod bent, they were on it immediately with full excitement and cheering. We didn’t just hook one sailfish, we hooked FIVE. At one point all three of them, Noah, Julian, and my husband, were simultaneously trying to reel in fish. Pure chaos. Pure fun. And what really stood out was the service. Julian literally jumped into the water with his phone just to get the best pictures of my husband with the fish, and every catch had either Julian or Noah front and center taking photos and later posting them on Instagram. I couldn’t have asked for better service or a better crew. Truly an unforgettable experience and one we will be talking about for a lifetime. Huge thank you to Julian, Noah, Darcy and the entire crew for the best fishing trip we have ever had.

We experienced beautiful people and fish. The charter was well worth the price. They were honest and caring. Even went as far as to cut up our catch on the boat for some fresh sashimi. The crowd of just the two of us chose the half day charter. We were here for our honeymoon. But could have easily spent all day on this boat.

Dec. 13, 2025. These guys find the fish everytime! We live near Tamarindo and have gone with Seabreeze a total of 3 times the last year. Noah the Captain works so hard to not only find the Yellowfin, but also to catch them. We’ve been wasting time and money with other big boats to just troll and release the odd bill fish until we found Seabreeze. Once we catch, they’ll serve you the freshest fish you’ll ever taste on a platter with all the veggies a sushi restaurant could never match. Just a wonderful experience! And they have the highest quality shirts I’ve ever bought on a boat! I’ll always use these guys when my family and friends want to go out to catch. Glad I found them! Very highly recommend.

Noah and Julian are the best guides I’ve used! Professional and knowledgable. Business manager Darcy was able to be flexible and give us alternative days and times. Talking with locals and businesses confirms Sea Breeze is the best in Tamarindo! We limited out on yellowfin and totaled 15! What an afternoon!

We booked online from Canada and you are always hoping it works out well and it sure did. Easy booking process and was trustworthy. Captain Noah and 1st mate Julien were hard working and very nice and fun to be around. We caught lots of yellow fin and a huge mahi mahi which was pur target. This trip exceeded all our expectations. Darcy & Noah were so friendly and helpful. They hooked 5 of our 6 fish but let us reel in all their catches. We left with 3 or 4 yellow fin tunas that our hotel prepared for us. (Give or take +/-1, it felt like we just kept catching them!) They took pictures the whole time and airdropped them to us so we didn’t have to worry about missing any photos. (This was important to me) On our way to and from fishing, they pointed out mating turtles, whales with their babies, and dolphins, so cool! There were snacks and beverages on board and they stored our belongings so it wouldn’t get wet with any splashing. Caught lots of tuna and and rainbow runner. You can go trolling but also top water and jigging off the bottom for snapper.

Noah and Julian were great guides. Even waiting for the skiff other fishing tours complimented their operation. We were not disappointed.

We were met promptly. She seemed to know who we were (three 70+ yr olds). We’ve done a lot of private fishing and this has been my favorite. We walked out into the water with our bags and got into a small boat that took us out to the fishing boat. It was fun going across the waves. The fishing boat was the most comfortable center console fishing boat I’ve been in. The bow had cushions with back pillows we lounged in. They set up the long-lines and it wasn’t long until we had a yellow fin tuna on the line. After trolling we did mid-column fishing for rainbow runners, delicious to eat. Noah and Julian did an outstanding job helping us fish. We ended up with multiple meals of fish so we switched to snorkeling. It was a 20 or so minute drive to a deserted beach with volcanic rock. It had rained the night before so it was only about 15 feet visibility. Still, it was fun. They had decent gear. They cleaned and fileted our fish. They called it a snack but they served us our raw fish with onions and avocados and a beautifully cut fresh pineapple. I would absolutely go out with this company again

We had a fantastic morning of fishing with Noah and Darcy. They picked us up right on time, we headed out to deeper water and started fishing immediately. They were patient teachers and respectful of our previous fishing experience. Noah and Darcy were very knowledgeable about fishing and all things Costa Rica, working very well as a team. The boat was clean and well maintained. We caught 5 different species. We would highly recommend a trip with them and would surely book with them again should we return to CR.

This was an absolutely wonderful trip!!!! They took such great care of us. Everyone we dealt with was so amazing. We ended up catching plenty of fish and even enjoyed some sashimi on the boat. 100% recommend you book with them.

My 9 year old daughter states, “This was the best day of my life!” Noah and Darcy were everything you would want in a charter. We went with our family of 4, (2 adults and a 9 year old and 11 year old). My daughter was beaming with delight when she saw that we would be fishing with a female “fisherwoman”! Our whole experience was positive. Noah and Darcy were kind, easy to talk to and made us all feel comfortable. They had drinks, snacks and delicious fresh cut pineapple for us to consume while enjoying our morning on the boat. Noah and Darcy have a wealth of information about the area and are experts on the marine life. They answered questions for us about other local activities as well. They made us feel like we were the most important group they have ever had on the boat. Darcy made sure to update us on where we were boating and what to do with the fishing poles and lines. We caught a Mahi mahi and a sailfish (a bucket list fish for my son and husband). We saw so much wildlife (turtles, sea snakes, sting rays, sea snakes, flying fish, dolphins, etc). The highlight of our trip was a rare sighting of a whale shark! Darcy and Noah allowed us to hop in and snorkel alongside this majestic and gentle creature. We were elated and energized by this once in a lifetime experience for our family. Overall, we had an epic day on the water with Noah and Darcy. We would recommend them to groups of all ages!

We had a very fun half day on this fishing charter!! They knew exactly where to go to catch fish!! We caught all different types of fish. They taught us how to catch the fish & took great pictures of us! They filleted the fish so we could bring it back to our resort. They even served us fresh tuna on board! They had snacks and drinks on board too! It was a beautiful day with tons of new catches for us including red snapper, yellowfin tuna, white fin tuna, skipjack, & blue runner!!

Great half day outing with my two sons 15 and 19-Darcy and Noah were so helpful and knew where to find the fish. Caught so much more that we could eat and even served fresh sashimi with the tuna we caught. Great day with great memories. Highly recommend!

We had an incredible time with Darcy and Noah! Their customer service and fishing skills were exceptional. We caught several tuna, which Darcy filleted immediately - even making sashimi less than ten minutes from ocean to plate. We highly recommend them for you fishing adventure!!!!

To start with, Darcy stayed in contact prior to the trip to be sure it was as great as it could be. We met them at the beach, got on the boat and started trolling, catching tuna right away. They are both very professional and fun at the same time!! We then switched and did some jigging without as much luck so we moved and started trolling again. She was filleting the fish right there on the boat and later cut up some fresh pineapple for us. They were both happy to instruct without being overbearing and were happy to answer all of our questions about the fish we were encountering. At the end of the trip she sent us a bunch of great pictures she took (not sure when she had time to take them as she and Noah were busy with us the entire time!). She recommended a place on the beach to take our catch to have it cooked for lunch that was fabulous! Bring a female angler it was very refreshing to have a female guide!! Darcy and Noah will definitely be my first and only choice when fishing Costa Rica again!!

And fab day on the sea,it was very wet as we had a massive storm however this added to the experience . The guys that took us were so professional and helpful . They very skilful in helping us complete novices catch many yellow fin tuna which we had cooked in a restaurant on the beach , great day

My husband and I go offshore fishing & also take day trips back in San Diego. His bucket list item was a rooster fish and that was checked off and then some! For our half day excursion, we caught a yellowfin, white tuna, snapper then the party started!! We caught a 50+lb Amber Jack and not 1, but 2 giant rooster fish!!! Capt. Noah and Darcy, we cannot thank you enough for such a memorable and epic experience. My wife and I truly enjoined the 1/2 day charter. Coming in the rainy season are scheduled day was a day trip but heavy rain and lightning had us concerned. They gladly rescheduled us for the following afternoon a perfect sunny afternoon. So thanks to Darcy our contact Cpt Noah and deck hand Junior for a great Costa Rica afternoon on the sea. We caught Grouper, pompano rainbow runner and a small yellow fin tuna. Highly recommend this outfit.

I have waited a few days to write this review because I feel like nothing I can say will do it justice! First off, the guides Noah and Darcy are fantastic. A young and lively couple who are obviously dedicated to providing a fun and successful trip. Darcy cut pineapple for us and made a sushi tray with our fresh catch! The fishing was fast paced and exciting. It was me, my wife, and our 10 year old. We almost constantly had fish on the line, many times multiple reeling in fish at the same time. We caught yellowfin, rainbow runner, skip jack, and one mahi mahi that was too small. This was our first offshore fishing experience and it exceeded all expectations. We left with more than enough meat for the rest of our trip. We took the rainbow runner to Walter’s restaurant that night, and they prepared it in several delicious ways for $15 a person! Our waiter, Luis, is friends with Noah and Darcy and he was expecting us. Easiest process ever!! Don’t forget to take Dramamine the night before. I’ve never been seasick, but we took it just in case. So glad we did! We witnessed another boat have to go back to shore very early because someone got seasick. Overall a wonderful experience that we will remember forever. Thank you!

Great fishing charter company. We fished late May and the water was perfect. The prices were more favorable with this company compared to other vendors in Tamarindo. We did half a day fishing charter within 10 miles of the shoreline. We caught 1 sailfish and 2 yellowfin tunas which they filet and packaged for us on the boat. We took our catch to our hotel restaurant they gladly prepared our yellowfin tuna for us for multiple days since it was a fresh catch. I would definitely recommend this charter. We specifically had the 27 foot escapade from 7-12.

Epic! No other words for it. Julian and Noah were amazing guides. We caught at least 15 skipjack and 1 amberjack and 1 shark. After the epic half day, Julian and Noah suggested to take the fish to get cooked at Walter’s Restaurant. The fish were cooked 2 ways, both ways were delicious.

My husband and I booked this fishing trip. Noah and Darcy were terrific. It was windy and there were some rough seas. They knew where to go and we did some bottom fishing. We were the only boat that morning that caught fish. We caught 2 Snapper, Spotted Mackerel, a few bone fish. We had Walter's at Tamarindo Beach cook our catch and fed the 4 of us. What a terrific couple to fish with!

I'm a little late with the review, but we had a great time on the trip and a great time fishing. We caught red snapper, both White Fin and Yellow Fin Tuna. I highly recommend Sea Breeze Fishing and Adventures. The crew was great, they did exactly what you expected, they were very friendly, they cleaned the fish for us, assisted us in every way , had beverages and snacks ready, and prepared one of the tuna for us to eat while on the boat. Lots of fun, highly recommend!!!

Noah and Julien were amazing! They arrived 5 min early and we were catching Yellow Fin Tuna within 30 min! I would highly recommend! We caught 8 big fish before 10am. They cleaned our fish and gave us a great recommendation of Walter’s and they cooked all that evening! Can’t wait to come back!

I went fishing with Noah and Darcy in March and had one of the best experiences of my (long!) life. We were surrounded by spotted dolphins, saw devil rays jumping out of the water and then, quite remarkably, found ourselves in the middle of a dozen or so feeding manta rays. So we took in the fishing lines and went snorkelling with these extraordinary creatures (and with the dolphin, stingrays and mahi-mahi that were also feeding on the baitfish). Oh yes - and we also caught lots of fish later in the day. Obviously that's an experience you can't book, but what you can be sure of is that Darcy and Noah will do everything to maximise whatever wildlife experiences come your way. Unlike many of the boats in Tamarindo they're English-speaking (Darcy's Canadian) which really helps. Book these guys!

Amazing people. Message the night before to see if we can start early since weather was getting bad. Got their early and they were ready to go. Was able to catch 3 yellow fin , some skip jack and few bonita which we put it back. Weather got very windy so came towards shore few jacks inshore before we wrapped up the day. Darcy and Noah are super friendly and professional. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to fish in the area to reach out to them you won't be disappointed.

WOW, we did 2, 1/2 day fishing with Noah and Darcy. I can't say enough positive about the experience for my 17 year old daughter and myself. The boat was comfortable and the gear, snacks, drinks, water were all plentiful. We caught a 25 lb and a 40 lb Mahi, as well as a big Yellow Fin Tuna and several other smaller fish. Noah was so gracious with my daughter to help her with the BIG fish without interfering with her experience of catching the fish. They are both so compassionate while preforming HUGE with the fishing. They boat was clean, very timely, and the communication before the trip was so much better than average. On the way back we saw a family of dolphins and they stopped the boat and they gave us snorkel gear to swin with the dolphins. Darcy and Noah are truly delighted with the ocean creatures and you can tell the operation is so loving and appreciative in nature. We saw humpback whales, large manta rays, turtles, dolphins and it was just super perfect. I will book Sea Breeze again for sure! Oh yes, and their sun/fishing shirts are of great taste with the graphics, colors, and material. I would highly recommend them!

What a great day! We caught white tuna and mackerel and had a wonderful day. Some of our party wanted to relax and enjoy the sun and there was plenty of space to fish and relax.

The couple that own it and running it were just terrific. Totally knew there stuff. Super nice. We had a gorgeous day. They made us as comfy as could be. They do their best to help you catch fish.

This was such an amazing experience. We saw whales, turtles, dolphins, sharks and fish. Noah, Darcy, and Julian were exceptional. The communication was great. Throughout the day, Noah was pointing out sea life for us to see. They also made sure we experienced catching fish. They're so incredibly knowledgeable. I would rate this a 10 out of 10. At the end of the tour we had a large white tuna. It was filleted for us and we were able to take the fish to a local restaurant (Walters) and they prepared it for us. This truly was the best experience of the trip. Thank you so much Noah, Darcy and Julian!

Unfortunately my stomach did not agree with the seas on our trip. Although we were only able to stay out a little over an hour Noah and Darcy were very understanding and were still able to put us on fish! All 3 of us were able to bring in a very nice tuna! I would highly recommend them!

Darcy and Noah make a great team! I’m a longtime fisherman this is honestly the best fishing charter I have ever experienced. Their professionalism and attention to detail is outstanding and most importantly they get you fish! The boat is very comfortable the fishing deck allows room to fight the fish!

Great day on the Pacific! Darcy and Noah were delightful, wonderful guides. Although strong winds made the. Conditions less than ideal for Fishing, we managed to catch several, including some skipjack tuna, which Darcy promptly made into a plate of FRESH sashimi! Darcy and Noah are the best! Reservations were easy to make online. We met at the designated location and found our captains. We were welcomed with open arms even though we were a little late due to traffic. I was able to do some work while we were out...still had phone service. I took a nap as I was still feeling the libations from the previous night. But I popped up when it was my turn on the rod and reeled in tuna to my surprise. Everyone in our group caught a fish and one bull shark. It was a successful enjoyable trip! I highly recommend Sea Breeze Fishing & Adventure. Just hope they are not booked up for our next visit!

Darcy and Noah are the coolest, sweetest couple! They made this day so great and worth every penny! We were catching fish for the time our lines hit the water. They went the extra mile to make sure I caught my dream fish, a 62' Mahi Mahi which I'm getting mounted. (they are enough helping with that) We can not explain how great this experience was. This trip was better than 5 stars!! Can't wait to go back to Costa Rica and have another great fishing trip with them! Highly recommend!!!

We had a great fishing trip. Caught a couple of very nice tuna which our hotel cooked up perfectly for us. Best dinner we had on this trip. Surprisingly we caught a very nice sail fish which was special in more ways than one. It was an unusual catch and very exciting too. Couldn’t have been better.

We booked a ¾ day tour and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Darcy and Noah are gracious, knowledgeable and enjoyable hosts who work hard to make sure you’re taken care of and enjoying yourself. They know how and where to fish, and Noah is always changing baits and working lines to make sure fish are coming in the boat. We started the morning catching tuna and ended the day catching snapper. There is nothing like a snack of sashimi with soy and wasabi from a tuna you just caught! In the middle part we were trolling for sailfish, marlin and big tuna. While we didn’t catch any of the big fish trolling (only one boat caught a large tuna the day we were out), it was an amazing experience anyway. For two hours we were in the middle of hundreds of dolphins, many of them jumping and spinning out of the water. We even saw a large ray jumping! Our charter was a highlight of our trip, and we will definitely book with Sea Breeze the next time we’re down!

Relaxing but professional atmosphere. Helped my 13 year old daughter have great experience. Caught Good fish- yellowfin and 200 lb bullshark. Strongly recommend!
