We had a fantastic day traveling with our very informative guide to Miravalles- it was fun, interactive, and he was more than accommodating. Gabriel answered every question we had throughout our journey…the adventure and the delicious Casado lunch was amazing!

My daughter and I went on this excursion today. Our tour guide, Bernardo, was just plain awesome. He was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable about anything we asked. We started out at the waterfall, it was so beautiful and the water was cool and refreshing. Then we went to the volcano walked around and had a mud bath, which was pretty unique and exhilarating. Afterwards, we sat in the hot spring and stepped down to the warm one then the cold one. Afterwards, we felt renewed and our skin was soft. We had a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch and headed back. Bernard was always helping us out of the van, making sure our things were kept safe and offering to take pictures for us. He knew my daughter wanted to see monkeys on our vacation and said he'd watch for them. Well, we were almost back and he happened to spot about 5 of them up in the trees. He pulled over and helped us out and across the street to take photos. We never felt rushed or hurried along. He truly was an amazing tour guide. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. What a great day with lasting memories made. Thank you again, Bernard!

A 2 hr drive from playa Flamingo Beautiful waterfall, mud bath and hot spring. The lunch was great, lots of food with choice of chicken, pork or fish Johnny our guide was very friendly

We enjoyed our tour a lot! Our driver was prompt and told us a lot of information about the local area. He stopped by the road to let us see some monkeys. The waterfalls were incredible to see! One waterfall you have to cross a very high hanging bridge which is a bit scary. The hot springs and mud bath was very nice. Also you can’t actually see any view of the actual volcano, just as a heads up. Lunch was the so tasty as well!

Activities were good although facilities were not at all as good as pictures. Did not seem to have enough personnel and we kept losing time at each stop. Made for a very long day.

This tour was amazing!! Martino and Roberto were incredible!!! They took good care of us!! They made sure we were safe at all times and they were very informative!

My husband, 17 year old daughter and I recently did the Miravalles excursion, and can’t say enough good things about the tour and our tour guides! Alex and Dancho picked us up bright and early at the JW Marriott, and we began our drive to the waterfalls. The entire drive, Alex entertained us with his vast knowledge of the trees and wildlife. We even stopped several times roadside to taste Tamarind, cashew fruit, and see the guanacaste tree “ears”. The waterfall was gorgeous and we were encouraged to stay and relax as long as we wanted. We then went to the mud baths and hot springs, which were the highlight of the trip. We began in the natural volcano sauna, then slathered ourselves with healing mud, showered, then finished by plunging in 3 pools sequentially - hot, medium temp, then a cold plunge. After this luxurious natural spa day, we had the most delicious, authentic Costa Rican lunch in the nearby restaurant, before heading back to the hotel. Overall an AMAZING experience and we would recommend it to anyone visiting CR!!

We had Christian he was our driver & our guide! He was great! He narrated along the way & stopped to show us a family of monkeys, lizard, volcano & getting pictures of these. He was so kind to take our pictures at all the sites too! We would recommend Christian for your tours!

Christian and Alex were great! Picked us up right on time in a brand new van at our resort. It was just my husband and I on the tour which was great. We stopped for a delicious Costa Rican breakfast in Liberia before heading heading to the Llanos del Cortes waterfall for a short hike and refreshing swim. Alex pointed out some interesting lizards there. Then we headed towards the Miravalles volcano. After some photos we went to the quaint Hornillas hot springs for a lovely steam, mud bath and soak. We had the place all to ourselves then a delicious lunch after. Alex gave us lots of info about Costa Rica and Guanacaste as well as pointed out several unique trees and birds, info about the geo thermal area and loads of other interesting details. It was a perfect low key day and Christian and Alex were awesome - we had lots of laughs along the way. Definitely recommend!!!

We just returned from our Miravalles-hiking/waterfall excursion that we booked through Costa Rica Adventures Travels and cannot begin to express our gratitude to the entire team, particularly our guide, Johnny. The professionalism, thoughtfulness, knowledge and attentiveness exceeded our expectations. From the moment we booked our tour we were confident we had made the right decision. The representative reviewed every detail of the tour with us, she emailed my confirmation and stayed on the phone to ensure that I was comfortable with my booking and answered all of my questions. Johnny our driver arrived promptly, confirmed we had everything needed for the day and thoroughly explained each stop and what we may expect throughout the day. Somehow we managed to arrive at each location prior to the crowds and was able to enjoy every minute undisturbed! Throughout the entire day we felt safe and were so impressed with Johnny’s punctuality, reliability and warmth that we recommended his company to other travelers we met in Costa Rica. Our day ended with an amazing Costa Rican meal! If you are visiting Costa Rica and planning an excursion, please consider these guys you will not regret it. I highly recommend them!

Great trip! Christian and Juan Carlos were both very knowledgeable and passionate guides excited to share everything they knew about Costa Rica. They were the best tour guides we used during our week in Costa Rica. All facilities were in great condition, and lunch was amazing. I highly recommend this excursion to anybody. The hiking portions were short and easy, and the views are incredible.

Alex was such a great tour guide! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and is also a great photographer. Our driver was great too, they were both very friendly and personable. They took us to a local grocery store to use the restroom and grab a cup of coffee. I was able to purchase some local coffee to take home that was much less expensive than the tourist shops. The volcano mud bath is a very unique experience and the hot springs after are very relaxing.

What an EXCELLENT experience. This was the best part of the week for me. Our guides were professional, courteous, and very engaging. Alex, was a fount of knowledge and we learned so much abut this amazing country, its beautiful people and culture. The transport was clean, in great working condition and very comfortable! The whole family (age 7 thru 64) had a blast. I would rate 100+!

Amazing!!! This tour was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Costa Rica! Christian and Alex are the perfect duo to take you out for the day. It started when they showed up early, which is rare in these parts. The vehicle is very nice and comfortable and we got on the road right on schedule. They are very knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation in Costa Rica, pointing out so many things along the way. The hike up to the waterfalls was breathtaking, I took so many pictures. We swam in the cool waters below a waterfall, hiked across a suspension bridge, then went down to the hot springs and mud bath. After that they took us for a very tasty Costa Rican lunch, the fish was to die for! There were so many things to see that I can't even remember them all. I can honestly say that I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a real Costa Rica outdoor adventure. Alex is full of energy and knowledge so prepare for a fun filled day! We will definitely be back!

Best excursion I have experienced. I am a traveler and this was amongst the top. Alex, our friendly tour guide, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our day the best from serving my friends and I mangos in the hot springs, introducing us to a unique iron filled fruit to taste, taking pictures for my group to capture each moment and the list goes on and on. Our sweet driver, Christian, was the best too. He was very accommodating and even stopped the van so we could see monkeys in a tree on the side of the road. He even offered us a private coffee tour. If you are in search of a tour, this is the one! Don't wait, book it. You won't be disappointed. Please tell Alex and Christian the girls from Maryland sent you :-)

My friends and I had an amazing time and loved this tour. Alex, our friendly tour guide had an energy and passion that was infectious. He was extremely knowledgeable about all things Costa Rica and truly made our experience memorable. From bringing us fresh mangos while we sat in the hot springs to coaching us through walking over the hanging bridge, he’s a first class guide. Christian our very nice driver was professional and helpful as well. He even made an impromptu stop on the side of the road so we could see a family of monkeys after an already long day. If you’re concern about the intensity of the hike, don’t be…I’m active but not a hiker and I still managed just fine. I’ve been on many tours/excursions in a variety of countries and this was one of my favorite experiences.
