Liberia Airport (Lir) To La Fortuna/arenal: Private Vip Transfer

Timely: Friendly driver met us at the Liberia airport when we arrived. Cleanliness: Escorted to 8 seat passenger van in parking lot. There were only 2 of us! We were offered bottled water. Efficiency: 3 hour drive from airport to resort in Arenal Mountain area through Costa Rican countryside. We were offered stop halfway for dining and use of bathroom facilities at restaurant overlooking Arenal Lake featuring extensive menu. Cost: Cost for 3 hour ride and stop at restaurant for 2 passengers was $179.00 US. This was significantly less than price quoted by the Hotel at the resort for the same distance.

Alfredo was a fantastic driver. Picking up was easy he was waiting there for us and the trip to La Fortuna. Was beautiful and relaxing.

Our driver was great. He even showed up early which worked great for us. He shared lots of info about Costa Rica and was very friendly. The ride is long so even though I took motion sickness medicine I still felt sick towards the end. He stopped so I could get my bearings for a bit. We would definitely recommend this company if it’s your first time driving to La Fortuna. The roads are windy and very narrow in some spots.

We used this company on our recent vacation to Costa Rica. They did all of our transportation, from hotel to La Fortuna, then to Manuel Antonio, then back to San Jose. They were always on time, very polite and helpful. I was very happy with this company. Would recommend for anyone! Thanks!

Got a transfer with Yorlin from Liberia Aiport to La Fortuna. Yorlen was there on time, was a friendly and a safe driver. He took us to a great restaurant for dinner on the way and navigated us on the dark windy and wet roads to La Fortuna with ease. Very professional and we are so glad we had his help instead of driving ourselves after a 6 hour flight!

Communication through out the trip. Stop and allowed us to have lunch which made the long trip better. It is very bumpy roads just in case you get nausea I would plan for that.

We used Fortuna Expeditions throughout our stay in Costa Rica and could not say enough great things about this company! Airport pickup was timely and smooth with our driver waiting outside for us. Alfredo was wonderful! He stopped along the drive to point out sloths and monkeys. We also made a stop at a delicious lunch spot overlooking Lake Arenal. It was the best start to our trip. Alfredo was so friendly and kind we requested to have him drive us on the next leg of our trip. Van was comfortable and clean. Communication was top notch, very organized. Everyone felt like they truly went above and beyond to make our experience in Costa Rica unforgettable. We were able to stop and get groceries and even some souvenirs before we headed back to the airport. I would highly recommend booking with them if you want a premium experience for your family!

We had 6 adults with a lot of luggage and golf bags for a 10 day trip to La fortuna and playa conchal. We needed transfer from Liberia to La fortuna. Then 5 days later transfer to playa conchal. Then 5 days later back to the airport. We pre booked the entire 3 trips. Every driver kept us notified and was on time. Stopped at great spots along the way to eat. Gave us great info about all the places and towns we saw along the way. Even stopped to help my wife find a special souvenir at several stops along the way. Great drivers. Very safe, great vans (wonderful a/c!!). Really made the long drives part of the vacation instead of just a sleepy drive. They are the only driver service we will use on our future trips to Costa Rica! Thank you Carlos and team!

Great trip, on time and awesome recommendations and stops along the way

The driver was prompt and friendly. He respected times when we preferred silence but was informative when we engaged him in conversation. He offered snack and bathroom stops along the way. All in all, a fine experience.

We had the best and easiest time on our transfer to our stay! Carlos, our driver, was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and kind. He gave us great suggestions and took us to the prettiest/yummiest lunch spot. He helped us book other activities as well. Would recommend 100 times over!!!

Yorlen was our driver and he was incredibly helpful! We got delayed longer than originally planned getting off the plane and going through customs, but he was still waiting outside for us. We chatted with Carlos through WhatsApp the whole time and he was super responsive which helped ease my anxiety a lot. Yorlen gave us insight into local areas and things to do along with general knowledge. He was also incredible when I started feeling carsick in the windy roads and pulled over for us to take a break. Honestly one of the best experiences with transports we’ve had. Loved them so much were booking with them again on our return trip.

Walter was fantastic. He was in full contact with me after I arrived in Liberia. He has a name tag with my name so it was quite easy to locate. Upon request he stopped at a nice place overlooking lake Arenal and we had fantastic coffee. He also had wi-fi in the van. Trip to La Fortuna took around 3 hours from Liberia airport. You can not go wrong using this company.

Everything went very smoothly and right on time. They were very responsive with the WhatsApp and answering all our questions. Richard was great and stopped to show us some sights along the way. Great transport up to the mountains!

Our private transfer from LIR to Lafortuna was perfect! Our driver was at the airport waiting with a sign, wisked us away quickly to get on the road for our 3 hour journey! We got to stop and see the Arenal Lake overlook and even better got to see a wild monkey. The driver stopped and we got amazing pictures! Highly recommend this company!!!

Had a great trip to and from SJO to La Fortuna with Alfredo. They were very punctual and ensured a safe transport during our vacation. Would definitely use this service again on my next trip to Costa Rica.

Smooth private airport transfer to La Fortuna and back to San Jose. Drivers were on time and courteous. We stopped when we wanted to for bathroom breaks.

In process of filing a formal complaint. Shuttle was not there, no whattsapp notification or communication from shuttle service. Have text messages to prove flight information and told Carlos in April and the day before our flight arrival at 1pm. He didn't tell the driver we changed from United to American airlines in April so the driver waited2 hours then left. We told them our flight arrived at 1pm and will clear customs and come by 2pm. They missed us by15 minutes. Had to call them to see where they were. No apology from the driver or Crlos he owner as I had to prove my case through whatsapp conversations.

We used Fortuna Expeditions for a shuttle from San José to La Fortuna, and the experience was perfect from start to finish. Our driver was waiting for us with our name as soon as we exited the airport, which made everything seamless. He was professional, kind, and incredibly courteous throughout the trip. Despite some challenging road conditions, he drove safely and confidently, which helped us relax and enjoy the journey. Definitely the way to travel I was able to sit in the front seat so I could hear better to converse with the driver better. He provided cold bottled water to drink. The stop for a meal was perfect. Very impressed with this company. I provided them the Google map link provided by the VRBO company several weeks in advance. This company checked it out and let me know if was for a different villa. Thank goodness! I then contacted the VRBO and got the correct Google maps link provided

I am so happy I booked a private transfer to La Fortuna! There was peace of mind someone would be waiting for me and not worried I would miss a specific shuttle time. Ricardo was a great tour guide along the way and stopped at an amazing restaurant with the best views of Arenal Lake along the way! He was an amazing driver and got me to my destination quickly and safely!

The driver was kind, patient and knowledgeable. He stopped so we could take pictures and told us interesting information about the areas we rode through.

Carlos was great for all of our planning needs for visiting the area. I initially arranged a shuttle service to La Fortuna area. But then we actually ended up canceling all of our other pre-booked shuttles because Carlos and the company was so great. We had them transfer us also from La Fortuna towards Hacienda Pinilla and then from there, back to the airport. They even considered with all of the most recent flooding the concern that they may be unable to get us there, so they ended up getting a 4 x 4 to take us to the airport to be on the safe side. They have been nothing but wonderful with recommendations, kindness, ability to make a few extra stops, whether for gift shops, the market, and food along the way. He had great suggestions, he was very kind and we trusted him with our trip. Would highly recommend and will be doing so to any family and friends that plan on coming to Costa Rica. Great experience. The vans were clean, great AC and lots of room.

When we arrived our driver (LEO) greeted us with a welcome sign personalized with my name. He was amazing, very informative, patient and had great sense of humor. He pulled over so we could take pictures and even took us to get food. Thank you LEO for welcoming us to Costa Rica with open arms

Our family hired them to drive us from the airport to Nayara. It ended up being our first tour in Costa Rica more than a transfer. The driver was very kind and provided all kind of information about the country and stop in the best place ever for lunch. Totally recommended
