Everything about this tour was fantastic! Our driver, Pablo, was prompt and friendly. He was a great guide on the 3.5-hour (each way!) drive, stopping for wildlife viewing and coffee & treats from a local bakery. The Sensoria property is absolutely stunning. Immaculate bathroom/changing/shower area. Beautiful dining room, with an excellent lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with our guide, Joaquin, who was a wealth of knowledge. The thermal pools were AMAZING. We are so glad we did this excursion from our resort and would highly recommend a visit to Sensoria.

WOW! I can't recommend this experience enough! I moved to Costa Rica a year ago and have visited many beautiful places. This experience was outstanding in every way. The location is pristine. The rainforest guide is amazing. The waterfalls and pools were beautiful, perfect temperature and relaxing. The massage was unforgettable, right by the waterfall and the lunch was super tasty.

We had such an amazing time on this excursion! The hike and waterfalls were absolutely beautiful and truly one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. Our guide was incredible—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. He was very cautious and caring throughout the entire hike, always making sure everyone was comfortable and safe while still allowing us to fully enjoy the experience. His knowledge of the area made the excursion even more special. The waterfalls were breathtaking, and we absolutely loved being able to experience them up close. Lunch afterward was amazing as well, and everyone we encountered was so welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. From beginning to end, this was a fantastic experience. Joaquin and the Cicada made our connection to tropical rainforest one we will always remember. The forest enveloped us with warm rain, song from the creatures and amazing waters of nature. The team was exceptional, the food was so delicious. We never once felt rushed the time in each area was perfect. If you want to have a true Tropical Rainforest experience don't hesitate just book. A great hike and awesome tour guide! We were there for about 3 hours. Staff was exceptional - very thorough and taught us a lot! Food was also very good after our hike.

We had an amazing driver from our hotel. We stopped at a small cafe where we enjoyed delicious coffee and fresh made bakery items which were delicious as well. We really enjoyed our guide Joaquin. He was amazing! He is so passionate and knowledgeable. Our favorite part was being able to swim by the waterfalls. The only disappointing part were the roads. There were so many pot holes so the ride was very bumpy for about 20 minutes up to where the tour began.

Was a beatiful experience!!!! I hope come back soon!!!

September 3, 2026, The views, hikes, waterfalls and especially the learning experience and getting to connect and be more educated on Costa Ricas rainforests and geographic / ecological ecosystems made this trip memorable and beautiful as well as unique. Learning about the environment of Costa Rica is like no other place on Earth and Sensoria definitely highlights these elements. The hot springs and waterfalls were amazing and the rain Falling in the forest as you hike was magical. Joaquin was an amazing guide and gave so much insight to the nature in Sensoria especially with the animals and plants. It was amazing to be one with nature especially with Joaquin, he is such an amazing speaker and was so passionate and insightful. The lunch was amazing too. Pablo was an excellent driver and made the ride safe and comfortable. We would definitely come back to Sensoria such a wonderful experience. Thank You! - The Asrafally Family.

The park the waterfalls everything is pretty amazing the drive here pretty bumpy lots of potholes and the hike is probably at least 2 1/2 miles to the first waterfall with lots of stairs up and down some pretty steep so make sure you’re in decent physical condition the waterfalls were amazing two out of three you can swim in, which felt awesome. After hiking in the jungle. I would recommend it just be prepared for the drive.

The best thing I did in Costa Rica was this excursion. We were a very small group of friends (3 total) who had travelled together on this one. First off, a shout out to our driver, Pablo, who got us there safely and back (2.5 hour drive each way!) and thoughtfully stopped at various points of interest along the way to show us local wildlife such as a three-toed sloth sleeping in a tree and toucans he spotted. He was absolutely adorable and he talked to us the whole way there and back. He was learning English and I had been learning Spanish, so we learned a lot of words from each other! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and sweet. At Sensoria itself, our tour guide was Joaquin. He was also extremely knowledgeable, taking great care to explain the wildlife, the plants, and the ecosystem. Highly educational experience. The hike itself was easy and beautiful. If you have trouble with stairs, however, you might want to skip on this as there were a lot of stairs. We did not get to see the beautiful blue waterfall because the volcano had erupted a couple of days previously, so the water was grey and filled with ash at the first stop, but a marvel to behold nonetheless. At all the other waterfalls, Joaquin took great photos of our group members using our phones so we would have the memories. He also was kind enough to carry our towels in his backpack for us because on the day we did this excursion, there was a steady rain that sometimes turned torrential. The hot spring and mud bath is a definite "must do." Lunch was fantastic. We chose the Costa Rican options and they were great. Coffee after lunch was superb. I would recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

Amazing experience. Your guides so knowledgeable! Saw tons of animals. Really cool waterfalls and swimming in waterfalls. Amazing private thermal pool with snacks. Great video at the end during lunch. First time in rainforest and so cool and definitely worth it!!

This was a beautiful and unique experience. I was excited to be close and enjoy the benefits of a volcano. I received forest and animal knowledge during the hike with Joaquin. At times the hike was challenging, however I love hiking and seeing the beauty of Costa Rica. I would absolutely do it again, as the reward was relaxing in the various natural pool and the mud at the end. This is a wonderful way to learn about the rain forest and how beautiful the country is. I highly recommend if you love a slow but challenging hike in one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to.

This is so cool honestly like insane the waterfalls and the trip was insane. As well as opening drinks to greet you and food after the tour. The hot springs and waterfalls we got to go into were so warm and crazy fun. The hike and animals you see along the way are nuts too.

The best hike of costs Rica , best guide i would recommend this to everyone

Outstanding experience in the rain forest. Waterfalls, thermal pools, well marked & maintained trails, and very friendly staff and guides. It rains, so come prepared: rain coat or poncho, water shoes, change of clothes for the drive back, and ready to immerse in nature. We saw multiple pit vipers along the trail hanging off trees and the guides we're super knowledable and informative of all the native plant species. The hike has visits to multiple waterfalls and thermal pools. Worth coming in your swim attire to enjoy the natural mineral waters. It all culminates with a relaxing lunch back at the Main House. The only downside of the excursion is the drive up to Sensoria and back out. Although there is a stop in Dos Rios at a local bakery (yummy local pastries) the unpaved road is rutted and rough for a good 60+ mins of the drive. 4-wheel drive highly recommended. Book this thru a guide...only way to access this special spot. Enjoy the nature & Pura Vida.

This was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide great and he spotted a lot of animals for us. The property is so peaceful and the lunch after our tour was simply delicious. They also have super clean showers and changing rooms. It will be definitely added again to our next visit since there is so much to see.

Very beautiful nature walk, friendly tour guides, very knowledgeable with the environment, the animals and nature. Great lunch, clean facilities, not crowded at all. We had the space for ourselves to swim at the waterfalls, beautiful waterfalls and refreshing. A natural/nature spring water pool. We visited from 0900-1530. The scenery on the way was gorgeous with the mountains views. Shout out to Jaauin “modern Moses.” Best for kids above 8yo-teens, young adults and peeps who are able to walk a bit to be able to enjoy the nature.

I cannot describe in words what the place is like. It is an amazingly diverse ecological masterpiece. Every turn on the trail showed us some new incredible plant, insect, snake or animal. The waterfalls are breathtaking and refreshing to swim in. Our guides Gabriel and Joaquin were so informative and took care of our every need. They took the time to explain the plants, insects, birds and animals we saw. They also kept us safe as the Eyelash Vipers were out on the trail edges. You feel the love they have for the job in the way they talk about this incredible forest. The lodge is immaculate and the kitchen staff prepared us a delicious meal afterwards. It was my second time here and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. My families first time there was something they rave about to this day. Make the bumpy drive, stay with a sweet local family near the tour the night before and do not leave Costa Rica without seeing this absolutely stunning place. Thank you to the staff at Sensoria!

We absolutely LOVED this experience!!! Hands down one of our favorite excursions we had in Costa Rica. The waterfall was beautiful and we enjoyed all the pools. Our guide was fantastic and we learned a lot about the rainforest and native animals. Also, lunch was delicious! This was an adventure that we will remember forever. Thank you!

Coming from Riu palace we were assured a perfect experience by Ismaël our sunwing guide. And he told the thruth! We were welcomed at the main buldimg. What a beautiful place. The hike was led by Joaquin a very attentive and knowlegeable human who loves his job and respects the rain forest. Lots of steps but not slippery even when it rained. We got to see and duo at all 5 waterfalls. The last one being the warmest. We would have stayed longer but Hunter got the best of us. Joaquin directed us to the showers of the main building. Everything is spotless and clean. Then we has an amazing meal. I picked rice and chicken served homemade chips and a cabbage salad. My husband had the chicken wrap which was fresh and delectable. We watched a video captured by Motion cameras located in the local Rain Forest where we could see animals such as puma, leopard , taiper, wild board’s etc. Coffee and coconut balls for desert. I know for sure we will be napping on the way back. Thank you for and amazing time. Was well worth the money we spent!

I really enjoy this experience. I would have loved if they had a store with some plants. the tour emphasize more on story on the plants. The trip included fun and interested plant explanation that we got to smell, and touch. During the walk this could have created a bigger deeper meaning in the tour. Also it would have been fun if they had points of activity like walking through different places with texture while blindfolded. maybe being blindfolded and a meditation or hear different noises. But I still love it. would also like if the had mud for us to put on our faces and body.

Our guide was phenomenal—knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely invested in making the experience special. This is eco-luxury at its finest. Yes, it’s a bit of a drive, but it is 1000% worth it. Without question, this is one of our top travel memories and a highlight of our time in Costa Rica.

Amazing high end luxury authentic jungle experience with affordable price. Exceeded all our expectations many times over. Ideal blend of exercise and relaxing. A full day of carefully curated cultural and rain forest experience. Relaxing and adventurous drive from our resort with breakfast at local bakery included, sightseeing, plant and bird watching with photo stops. High in spa changing, shower restroom and included lockers for fresh clothes and towels (bring your own ). Safe easy trail walking either gradual altitude changes. Pure natural not overly worn photo stops perfectly structured hike and swimming in waterfalls which start cool and refreshing and gradually get warmer and warmer through the journey. Amazing fruit snack along the trail and 5 star lunch afterwards. Deep luxury with out huge cost all inclusive. Checked every natural and hospitality box we had. Amazing service from pick up to drop off.

Sensoria really is a place for reconnecting all your senses! The hike is so pretty, and although it is long, it does not feel long. The guide is super patient, waiting for you as long as you want to be in the waterfalls and pools. The waterfall is stunning, and the pools that Sensoria has created are simply beautiful! The place does not seem crowded, which allows one to easily connect with nature and the surrounding sounds. I would absolutely recommend it to friends and family!

Beautiful and magical land with truly unique energy. The waterfalls, mineral pools, lush greenery, and jungle, each area carries a completely different vibe, yet it all exists within the same breathtaking property. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed. I had a private tour with Luis, who was wonderful company, an incredibly talented photographer, and so patient throughout the experience. He flowed with my pace and energy, which made the whole day feel even more special. I’ve traveled all over Costa Rica, and this is honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited, truly a must-see destination. I can’t recommend it enough, and I will definitely come back. The owner and staff were warm, kind, and welcoming. We were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, enjoyed delicious lunch options with dessert, and everything was thoughtfully organized. They also have clean showers, changing rooms, and lockers, which made the experience comfortable from beginning to end.

Sensoria is definitely worth your visit, but look into booking with them directly instead of relying on the dishonest booking companies such as Nexus Tours. We were lied to about the experience, but still don't regret going. It was absolutely beautiful and actually picked a day that we seemed to be the only tour. Our guides were absolutely top notch. If you can book with Joaquin and Isaac, do it! They are so informative and can spot critters from far away. They are also very on top of keeping one safe. Isaac was an absolute dream. I was a slow poke in my group as we had been told this was an easy mostly level ground walk (again, misrepresented by Nexus Tours) when it absolutely was not. SO Many steps/stairs that I wasn't ready for, but still glad I did. Isaac stayed with me and made sure I was safe. Even held my water bottle when it was steeper stairs to ensure I had my walking stick hand and my other hand free for the rope "railings". They truly care about the experience of their clientele and it shows. The lunch they served was AH-mazing! Best meal I had all week (stayed at an all-inclusive that the food was horrible...will not do that again). I do plan to go back and do Sensoria again when I can bring back my grown son. I will book it a different way, but will definitely be back. If you go, ask for Joaquin and Isaac. You won't be sorry. Kudos as well to the ladies in the kitchen, I still crave the chicken fried rice they brought out to us. OH EM GEE that was good!

We had an amazing time. Pablo was our driver and was so awesome! Isaac and Juoquin were our guides. They did an excellent job and showed ups all kinds of reptiles and we weren't rushed at all. The lunch made by the lunch ladies was AMAZING!!! The stop at the Bakery was wonderful too!!! I highly recommend this tour.

Sensoria was a beautiful experience! We came to Costa Rica on our honeymoon and this experience did not disappoint! We got to experience the incredible rain forest and pools were amazing. We got to enjoy the Costa Rican cuisine and it was a great end to the day. Highly recommend!

My sisters and I had a great experience. Our guide was Joaquin and he was extremely knowledgeable. Lots of steps to the waterfall but worth it. Lots to see and learn about on the way. Swimming in the natural pools on the return hike was wonderful. Good lunch before our return trip. Free lockers for change of clothes. We all wore sandals with good soles for the hike which were fine.

Our time at Sensoria was wonderful. Our guide, Joaquin, was very knowledgeable about the rainforest and the knowledge he shared about the plants and animals around us really enhanced our experience. The volcanic spring water pool was the perfect temperature and felt amazing after the hike!

I can't lie, I was hugely disappointed. Other than a snake, we didn't see any wildlife at all. This came as quite a surprise considering we were in the rain forest in Costa rica. Very expensive for what it is. We paid half the price on our second week for a rainforest experience with some random guy from the beach we had met. We saw loads of wildlife including sloths.

We went to the site without any preconceived notions of what we were going to experience, and once done, were so thrilled to have travelled from the luxury of the Ritz to the beautifully laid paths, steps and waterfalls that made the day just fabulous. Our guide was fabulous, explaining everything that moved around us, and although the road for part of the trip was not great, it was the highlight of our stay so far in this wonderful country. There’s a lot to do to keep bust here, but a visit to the rainforest, and this particular site is a must .If you have teenagers sitting around doing nothing on the beach etc, try this tour out, it will make them better, more educated children.

We had an incredible experience on the Sensoria Land of Senses & Magical Rainforest Tour! Our guide, Joaquin, made the entire day unforgettable. I’m not sure I’ve ever met someone so passionate about what they do. He was a complete wealth of knowledge about the rainforest and wildlife, and you could tell how much he genuinely loves sharing it with others. Joaquin was also incredibly kind and had such a positive attitude the entire time. He also took amazing photos for us throughout the tour, which we really appreciated. Hemade the experience special and memorable. The rainforest itself was stunning, beautiful waterfalls, peaceful trails, and the thermal pools were the perfect place to relax. Our lunch was delicious, and the food overall was excellent. It also wasn’t very busy when we visited, which made it feel almost like a private tour. Another bonus: we had no issues with mosquitoes, which was a pleasant surprise in the rainforest! Every staff member we encountered was friendly. To top it all off, we even spotted a sloth as we were leaving the rainforest, such a perfect ending to the day. If you’re visiting the area, this tour is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!
