Exotic Beaches Excursion + Cool Off In A Waterfall (Half Day)

We had an excellent experience with Blue Zone, the tours are beatiful, we loved Cataratas Llanos del Cortés and all the beaches!

Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed this boat tour! We saw amazing wildlife including many birds, monkeys, iguanas, and numerous crocodiles! The authentic Costa Rican lunch was very tasty and afterwards, a short pottery demonstration! Great selection of pottery and we bought several pieces! Would highly recommend!

We were travelling with 10 family members including an 85 year old. This trip was a great way for all age groups to see the diversity of Costa Rica as a family. Our guide and the boat captain were both knowledgeable and fun. They made sure we had plenty of time on the water to see crocodiles, monkeys and various birds. If you are a birder this is the excursion for you. The place they took us for lunch was very authentic and tasty followed by a pottery making demo that was really well done. I didn’t think I would buy any pottery but there were such beautiful pieces. Definitely not the made in China with a Costa Rica sticker over top that we saw elsewhere. Great company, great excursion.

We had an amazing time on the Palo Verde river tour and our guide helped us to identify howler monkeys, crocodiles, herons, osprey, orioles, storks, bats, and iguanas. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and pottery demonstration. We were excited for the opportunity to purchase beautiful pottery made in Costa Rica. It was a great experience!

Our guide Juan Carlos was incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour very worthwhile for our family. Guzman, our driver, also was great at navigating us back and forth. We saw many animals on the river tour. Spotting large crocodiles and howler monkeys were the highlights. Definitely recommended!

We took this experience with our professional guide JC, and our driver Fernando. Everything was amazing, we saw lots of wildlife such as American Cocodriles, fishing birds, 3 types of monkeys, lizards and much more. The lunch was delicious. Thanks Blue Zone Tours.

Juan Carlos was an excellent guide on our bus and boat tour to Palo Verde in July 2024. His knowledge of the flora and fauna of Costa Rica were outstanding. We saw 2 types of monkeys, many different species of birds, awesome crocodiles, with the add of our knowledgeable boat captain, who worked hand in hand with Juan Carlos. Add in a rustic lunch at a local farm and the day was truly memorable. Blue Zone and Andres are the best!

We had such an amazing time on this tour! Our guide Juan Carlos knows so much about the wildlife and you can really tell he cares about the nature, history, and people of Costa Rica. The driver, the boat driver, and our guide were all so nice to help point out some amazing animals. We saw a ton of monkeys, alligators, and different types of birds. The farm portion beforehand is also great - with such interesting scenery and information. Highly recommend!

Our guide Juan Carlos was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw lots of monkeys, water birds, other birds including a mackaw. Lunch and pottery demonstration were ver enjoyable.

The tour guide shared his extensive knowledge of Costa Rican history, geography, and ecology. The authentic lunch was delicious. We were picked up promptly and traveled safely.

Completely worth it! Our family loved seeing the monkeys and birds! We even had some monkeys come to the boat! David was a great guide and helped us see everything on the water! Oh and having the captain get the crocodile cow to the boat was the highlight! Lunch was great, bud ride wasn’t too bad either!

We had a mother daughter excursion this day of our family trip while the other part of our group went fishing. Juan Carlos was our guide. This was our second tour with him as we liked his knowledge and demeanor so much that we requested him again. The bus driver was great and a safe driver. Juan Carlos was super about pointing out all the animals we saw and descibing them. This was one of the many reasons I requested him again. The water was a little low so that restricted some of the areas we could travel but we still managed to see loads of different birds, crocodiles(even a massive one chasing a smaller one) and lots of monkeys. This would be a great tour during the wetter months if you truly are into animals.

Carlos’ education makes him ideal for this excellent experience. Air conditioned car, then boat and a local restaurant make this a fantastic tour, well worth every penny!

We were so impressed with our tour guide Wilton we booked a second expedition with him. He delivered again! We saw multiple heron species and other birds, crocodiles, and monkeys! Our captain Miguel and Wilton both were excellent wildlife spotters and between the two of them we had numerous wildlife sightings. We stopped for lunch with Helene and Inez, who made us the famous drip coffee. While there, Willy, a local artisan showed us the indigenous method for making and glazing pottery that has been passed down for 7 generations. Kenneth was our driver and made the road trip more enjoyable, it was a wonderful group of people all around. Hands down, my favorite day of our vacation!

This excursion exceeded my expectation. One hour jet ski fantastic and they allow you to ride freely but is nearby for safety of incidents like me falling off my jet ski. Within seconds someone was to our rescue. The gentleman let me catch my breath and took me back to ride my remaining duration. Then two houratv ride with Mike our tour guide. Mike took us on backroads to see some of the most beautiful beaches ever. He allowed our group to gather while he took memory shots of us. He also took us through the Monkey sanctuary. When our phones died Mike took a video for us and Blue Zone sent it via What’s app. Overall this was the best excursion we took in Costa Rica and I can’t wait to return. Thank you Blue Zone

Great company and great people. They are really helpful about the area. They are able to handle large groups. We had a little trouble with the amount of Jet Ski's we needed, however they were able to fix the issue very quickly. We had 2 groups (17 and 12 in each group). Would recommend them and would use them again.

Awesome tour, did a great job. Andres seemed to know everyone and was willing to help us with just a days notice.
