Took a 3/4 day charter out of Tamarindo with my wife and two sons (5 & 7). We were hoping to catch a rooster fish, but as it’s not the ideal season, we went offshore. Within the first 45 minutes, we had a 90 lb sailfish at the boat. Shortly after, we had another sailfish at the boat. I was starting to worry that I was going to tap out from exhaustion before my kiddos! All in all, we caught three sailfish, a nice yellowfin, and two juvenile dolphin. We missed a handful of bites and had a couple fish shake the hook while trying to help the boys reel them in. These guys expertly filleted our tuna and as soon as we got home, we promptly whipped up some sashimi and it was AWESOME. Doesn’t get any fresher than that… The 3/4 and full day charters come with lunch, and I was not expecting much. To my pleasant surprise, the sandwiches they provided were superb. I was a little reluctant to spend $1k+ on a fishing trip, but it was so worth it. I’d highly recommend these guys. They were on top of everything, and so patient with us. If you’re on the fence, pull the trigger…. You won’t regret it.

Subpar experience, to say the least. The guide was excellent and the deckhand worked hard, so no complaints there. My biggest issue was that we spent nearly two hours of our trip catching bait, which ended up consuming roughly 45% of the charter time we paid for. In my opinion, a professional charter should have bait prepared and ready to go before clients step on the boat, allowing the trip to focus on fishing rather than spending a large portion of the day gathering bait. Unfortunately, that significantly impacted the overall experience and the amount of actual fishing time we had.

Amazing fishing trip! We caught a sailfish, had the best time, and enjoyed fresh pineapple, sodas, and beer out on the water. Would definitely do it again 🎣☀️🍍🍺

Juan was right on time and we were fishing within 20 minutes. Caught a nice assortment of Tuna, Bonita, Mackeral, wahoo and more. Also whales were jumping nearby. What a day!

We had a great fishing experience! Meeting up with the tour was easy and they were in constant communication with us. Once on the boat, we were given the opportunity to customize the trip, but when the fish weren't cooperating, Captain David had no problem changing plans so we could be sure to catch some fish. Everyone was helpful and pleasant! I definitely recommend this charter and trust you'll enjoy your experience!

Great time! Caught 2 yellowtail tunas and a huge sailfish in 4 hours! Would’ve stayed out longer but 2 of us were seasick!

Caught a marlin, when no other boat did that day. Max and David were great guys, wish we caught more but all depends on the winds. Great experience would recommend

We had an excellent, successful experience with our group of five (three adults and two kids). David, Sarah, and crew were friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. They communicated timely and clearly in advance. David offered his expertise on where to go and what to fish for based on how the week was trending, and we were able to land a very nice sailfish when the other boats had no luck that day. The boat was clean and well maintained, and stocked with more than enough drinks and snacks for our group. We would highly recommend this group to anybody and will reach out to them again next time we’re in Costa Rica!

David and Max are awesome. Caught a Mahi and Max filleted the fish on the boat for us. They provided beer, lunch and snacks. Great day.

We met at 7am for our charter. We met with David, the captain and his assistant. We went on a 5 hour charter and they did everything they could to help us catch fish including trying different areas of the Pacific to catch different fish. Unfortunately, other than a Black Tuna that we caught, the fish were not biting that day. But the two man team was still very hospitable, provided us with drinks and fruit and made sure we were comfortable throughout the whole charter. We would definitely try them again when we come back to Costa Rica.

We had an excellent 1/2 day fishing experience. Caught 4 fish and had a few others on the line. David and Sara were excellent and made the trip so much fun for the entire family. After the tour was over David suggested a restaurant that took our catch and prepared it for us. Highly recommend this couple for an amazing experience.

Excellent half day of fishing. Captain David and crew are the absolute best. Even though we had a little rain, he put us right on the fish and we caught them. Tuna and Mackerel. Then I recommend taking your fresh filets to the Rastafari food truck feet from the beach. Look for the red, gold and green and when you sight the Lion of Judah flag, you know you’re at the right place. They cooked and prepared our fish better than anything we’ve had. Also strongly recommend Tamarindo Surf and David for your surfing lessons and efoil rental. He runs a great operation

The weather was stormy but we still caught fish! Our captain and first mate were great and came home with some tuna.I would book them again.

David and crew were absolutely pros. We landed a ton of mahi and tuna that day while enjoying some of the most beautiful waters and coastline you'll see. I could not recommend them more.

We had a great time with David and William! They were communicative leading up to the trip and day of was a blast. We caught 6 mackerel and 1 wahoo! They were so knowledgeable about fishing in Costa Rica and took great care of us. The boat was beautiful and fully outfitted with all the bells and whistles. We can’t recommend them enough!

With the Blue Runner, we each had the chance to bring a swordfish (sailfish) back to the edge of the boat for beautiful pictures of our sport fishing... and this, in respect and safety of our catch during release.
