Caracola Experience – Luxury Beach Picnics & Proposals

Absolutely amazing for my proposal. Weather did not cooperate and they were so accommodating for another time slot and gave us everything we were looking for. Pictures are professional and creative while food was also well worth it. If you can, suggest playa cabuyal! Looks amazing. Almost like a background from a Jurassic park film!

It was such a wonderful experience! I wanted to do something special when proposing to my girlfriend, and they made it happen. From my first message, they responded quickly and helped me figure out exactly what was right for us. They found the perfect beach nearby and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. She said yes! I can’t recommend them enough.

Caracola was so amazing. They helped me plan a surprise proposal for my now fiancé. They were very responsive and accommodating and helped with several special requests i had. They had the set up ready before we arrived and were profesional and kind and very helpful. Their set up was magnificent and upscale and it was beautiful! I would highly recommend their services for anyone in costa rica who needs help with special events such as pictures and proposals..

Laura and team prepared a beautiful beach picnic for us to celebrate our elopement. The food was delicious - cheeses, fruit and bbq. It was all lovely and extremely enjoyable! Just what we were hoping for and Laura was very responsive and knowledgeable helping us plan from afar. They picked a perfect spot and set up a fabulous afternoon for us!! Would 1000% recommend.

We had a beautiful experience with Caracola! Laura was so responsive and helpful. The picnic was absolutely perfect and matched the photos marketed. We had an option to add extras and did add the flower arrangement and coconuts which was definitely worth it! Laura is so sweet and we love supporting small businesses like her and her husbands’. Laura helped plan the most magical Playa Grande beach destination wedding we could’ve ever imagined. Her eye for detail, style and connection to incredible vendors made everything as simple as possible. She even created the arch of our dreams for us to stand in front of. Our group of 22 enjoyed the most perfect sunset views for the wedding, beautiful guitar music, coconut rum drinks, and came back to an incredible dinner by Luis with Guanacaste Food Experience- with incredible decorations completely transforming our Airbnb. My favorite were the basket lights, greenery, white lights and pool lanterns! Not only did Laura ensure a perfect event- flawlessly executed- she helped me plan activities the entire weekend for our group- Complete with a sunset cruise, surf lessons (Rolo and his instructors were so helpful!) connections to local restaurants, etc. We would not change a single thing- it was that perfect. Our guests left Costa Rica in awe! One even said it felt like a celebrity wedding. What a gift we could give to our families and friends who traveled such a distance to be with us for our special day. Leading up to the event, Laura was incredibly responsive- answering my questions all hours of the day ☺️. I felt as anxiety free as you possibly could with planning an event so far from home. Thank you, Laura! You will live in our memories forever.

This experience is a must! We were celebrating a friend’s bachelorette and did this for the final full day, couldn’t recommended enough. It was a 2-hour picnic with plenty of snacks and sparkling wine.

This is an incredible experience. I wanted to surprise my wife with something special for our honeymoon and this experience did not disappoint. They had everything set up for us when we arrived. It was beautifully designed with the sunset in view. Speaker for our music and the charcuterie board was delicious! We had an amazing sunset picnic organized by Caracola Experience. Laura and Rolando did an outstanding job setting the scenery. The setting was absolutely stunning, perfectly chosen to offer a breathtaking sunset view. The charcuterie board was delicious, featuring a fantastic variety of foods, and the chilled Prosecco added a delightful touch. We highly recommend Caracola Experience for anyone looking to enjoy a perfect evening.

This was absolutely amazing!!! We used this for our small ceremony for our wedding. They were flexible due to the weather and set it up at our Airbnb, they were so kind and even let us extend our time. I would highly recommend booking through them. This was a really amazing experience. It was so incredibly beautiful.

10/10 would recommend! Our picnic got rained out but Laura came to our hotel and set up on our balcony to ensure we still had the best experience!

Laura set up a beautiful, picture-worthy picnic. We went as a family of three couples and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Laura was also very accommodating when we had to change our date. It did start to rain towards the end of the picnic and Laura and her partner immediately came and took the furniture down. She was attentive and responsive throughout our entire communication. I took one star off for a few reasons: - The price was very steep. We paid about USD $710 which included a birthday cake. I did not think that the value of the picnic matched the price. - For the price we paid, I expected better food. - The wireless speaker didn’t turn on so we couldn’t play music - They didn’t take credit card payments and only took wire transfers which was a bit more complicated and less protection for the consumer

I booked the Caracola Experience for my 90-year-old grandmother and aunt who were visiting me in Costa Rica and this was one of the highlights of our trip! My grandma specifically called out how wonderful the sunset picnic was as they were getting reading to fly home. The adorable couple that runs the business accommodated my request to set the picnic up close to the entrance and even helped her walk there. The wine and snacks were delicious and there were so many cute design touches that gave it a luxury, bohemian feel. Have done it twice already and will do it again. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful evening for my new wife and I!!! The team set up a beautiful evening on the beach for us. Everything was ready for us when we arrived, then the team left us alone on the beach and just told us to contact them when we were done. The attention to detail was AMAZING!! The beers were cold, and were the exact kind we hoped for. The food was plentiful (We were too full for dinner afterwards) and the music and pillows rounded out the amazing comfort. We WILL do this again when we are in the area! Thank you for an amazing experience.

A very easy process to book with Caracola, exchanged only a few message and we were booked. I paid via a view transfer to a USA bank account which was quite simple. We booked only 3 days in advance and I was pleasantly surprised they had availability. We had a picnic for about 12 people celebrating the birthday of my fiancé. She loved the set up and the drinks, the umbrellas were very nice and the sitting was quite comfortable. Very nice to have everything set up when we arrived. Attention to detail was noticeable, a full setup for plates and glasses, even extra ice and cups. Would definitely use these guys again.

I’ve booked with them and they recommend me a location which was amazing not even that the setup was so amazing it looked like an advertisement. It was the best experience I’ve had. I even had an a photographer and she fell in love with the picnic setup as well. The food was also amazing. The picnic is seriously romantic and breathtaking also the host she’s so kind. I planned it to ask my girlfriend to marry me and it’s an amazing experience for me and now my fiancé. Thank you once again for this experience ❤️

All our kids came to spend Christmas with us this year in CR and instead of presents I wanted to surprise them with a special experience we could enjoy together. We booked this luxurious family picnic at and surf lessons for kiddos with Caracola. This sweet couple runs this company who have poured their hearts into taking care of every little details with a smile on their faces. The picnic was set on time and it was breathtaking views with natural shades under the tree on a beach. They also helped with booking a local person providing surf lessons for kiddos and we were not rushed at all when enjoying the time at the beach. They truly made one of the sweetest memories for our family and would recommend them to anyone who is visiting Guanacaste. They will provide some amazing local places to visit as well. Got very lucky to have my kinds interacted with the owners and their surf lesson coach. They also had a great time and asking us to go back for that again.

If I could give a 6 out of 5 rating, I would. Laura and Ronaldo did an unbelievable job on the picnic. Worth every penny! if you want an unforgettable experience, I highly suggest reaching out to them!

Working with Laura from the very beginning was the best. She made things very easy and stress free. Really took all the guesswork out of the process with making everything so clear about how the picnic was going to be. The picnic itself was amazing, no detail spared. The setup was beautiful set up on a secluded section of the beach with flowers and champagne. The food was modified for our vegan diets and was well presented and very tasty. The photographer Andre was a real professional and got many good pictures of the event. It was such a great experience and one both myself and my fiancé will never forget. They prepare an amazing set up at the beach for our Family with two young children, the attention to every detail, the delicious food, they provide everything you need for the picnic. I had reserved for sunset with Caracola Experience. It was AH-mazing. The quality and attention to detail was incredibly impressive. You can tell the owners are so passionate about what they do. There is nothing they didn't think of, from providing bug-spray, a bluetooth speaker along with (real and electric) candles, it was all top notch. I would 100% recommend this experience and wanted to give this shout-out to encourage others to support this amazing local business.

This is by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Costa Rica. The most epic sunset, amazing food, a beautiful beach all to ourselves and it felt like we could have been in a 5 star restaurant!! The attention to detail and service were impeccable! We managed it all with our 5 month old baby, a 1 year-old and 4 year-old. It was the perfect family night out. The adults could relax while the babies played in the sand. Laura and Rolo are the best!!! Really couldn’t recommend this experience any higher. If you’re looking for things to do in Guanacaste don’t miss out on this!

Simply perfect. My husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary with this lovely experience a top a mountain with beautiful ocean views and the most gorgeous sunset. Laura was so communicative from the beginning and quick to respond! We got the full experience + exotic fruit platter (just do it) + photographer (JUST DO IT) and we couldn't be happier. Everything turned out just as expected and more! There was thoughtfulness and detail put into the set up and we had everything we could possibly need. Even a bluetooth speaker! My favorite part was honestly the end where we got to lay under the Teepee and watch the crystal clear starry sky. This is a must do if you have any special event or just want to have a fun unique sunset party with your friends on the beach or mountain! It's great for all occasions.

The picnic was absolutely perfect! The location was amazing for the sunset views. It was also quiet and almost felt like we had a private beach to ourselves. I was on a surf retreat and we were surprised with a sunset beach picnic hosted by Caracola Experience. I can't even begin to tell you how exciting it was when you first walk up on the beach and see the table setting. It was chic and charming, there was fluffy pillows, lit torches, sparkly fairy lights and the location was super lovely. The food on the other hand was to die for. You could tell that they hand selected every little thing for each charcuterie board with care and love. Laura and Rolo made you feel comfortable, and I secretly wished that they could have joined us instead of serve us. They were a total pleasure to be around. I dream of going back to Costa Rica and when I do, I will absolutely book another sunset picnic!
