Room was clean and big, we had plenty of space for our stuff. Breakfast was so big that I had trouble finishing it, it was really delicious. You can enjoy this peacful and quiet place while being at only 10min (walking) away from the downtown which is for me the best scenario.

The Vibe and Amenities The hotel design truly embraces the tropical setting, and my favorite feature was hands down the outdoor shower. There is something incredibly refreshing about showering in the open air, surrounded by the beautiful greenery of the property. The pool area is equally delightful. It is well-maintained, tranquil, and the perfect spot to lounge with a book or cool off after a sunny day of exploring. The property has a charm that feels both intimate and luxurious, making it very easy to settle in and just let the stress of travel melt away. Exceptional Service The staff at La Ramona deserves a special shout-out. From the moment I arrived, they were welcoming, warm, and incredibly friendly. They clearly go out of their way to ensure guests feel comfortable and well-cared for, which really elevates the entire experience from a simple hotel stay to a memorable vacation. The owners of the property were extremely kind, helpful, and always available whenever we needed assistance, regardless of the time of day. The hotel was very clean, and our room was thoroughly cleaned every day. The housekeeping staff were polite, helpful, and always pleasant. We also appreciated that the property is secure and well-maintained. Everything was organized, and our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I can warmly recommend this place to anyone looking for cleanliness, comfort, and excellent hospitality. I would be happy to return in the future and would gladly stay here again.
We just spent 11 amazing days at the La Ramona. We enjoyed a room steps away from the pool with a lovely terrace (complete with swinging chair) and an lovely outdoor shower. We spent many hours enjoying the small plunge pool, most of the time we were the only ones there. We enjoyed our made to order breakfast each morning before heading out each day. The location was only a block off on of the main streets and was easily accessible to many amazing restaurants. If you like a boutique environment away from the hustle and bustle, this is a great place for you.
We stayed here two nights and highly recommend it. The service and staff were fantastic and were very helpful accommodating our two-night stay under separate reservations. The hotel is a nice walking distance to the main street of Tamarindo. Rooms aren’t quite up to modern standards for outlets and amenities, but otherwise are great. WiFi worked great as well.
