If you want to stay away from busy places like La fortuna but you can still drive to the attractions near by, thats a perfect place for it. Family owned businesses and they are super nice and hospitable. All private homes with a lot of space. Amazing view of lakr arenal and the surrounding area from everywhere you stand. Go check out Oropéndola Restaurante Miradorits 5 min walk or 1 min drive - the beat restaurant we visited in Costa Rica!

Excellent, beautiful, friendly! We truly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are very pretty and well kept. The cottages are nice, clean and quiet. The staff were excellent, and our meals at the restaurant were great! We will be going back.

We had a truly wonderful stay with two nights at this hotel and enjoyed every moment from the very beginning. The location, atmosphere, and overall first impression were absolutely convincing. Admittedly, the hotel is a bit dated in some areas, which you can notice here and there. At the same time, this gives the place a certain charm that makes the stay feel even more special. We would especially like to highlight the incredibly friendly and helpful service.. it’s rare to experience such genuine hospitality. The view of the lake, as well as the pool area, are simply stunning. We haven’t seen anything quite comparable in terms of scenery and ambiance. Overall, we can fully recommend this hotel and would definitely come back anytime.

The serene lake, dramatic mountain range, birdsong, and overall calm create a truly peaceful atmosphere. The infinity pool is a highlight, and the infinity jacuzzi feels just like soaking in natural hot springs. Just ask the front desk for warm pool towels before you jump in! The surrounding gardens are beautifully and meticulously maintained. Breakfast is included and features a fresh fruit tray paired with excellent coffee. The dinner menu at the hotel is upscale with a great variety, but there are also fantastic dining options just steps away. Be sure to visit Drunken Monkey for fresh, fine-dining–quality dishes, and Soda Sofia for authentic Costa Rican cuisine with generous portions. La Mansion Inn is family friendly. There are villas small for couples and large for families. Each villa is separated by gardens and paths allowing you to feel isolated from other guests. The path to your villa is well lite and extremely safe, you will not see any critters except the horses! Finally, be sure to ask the front desk how to get to the local park - Parque Del Lago de Nuevo Arenal- it’s free! Not walking distance, but more stunning views and book ahead for paddle boarding!
