This was so much more than a tour. We were invited to participate in the artisanal activities of Tlaquepaque. We visited artisan merchants and the ceramics museum, painted Talavera tiles, visited a candy factory and made our own marzipan creations, tried a cazuela drink with or without tequila and threw our own clay pot on a foot-operated potter's wheel. We also learned the history of the town and why it's significant. And that doesn't even cover it all. A historic tram comfortably took us from site to site. Ivanka was a wonderful tour guide. I highly recommend this for a true taste of Tlaquepaque and a lot of fun!
This tour was such a delight. I was expecting to be on the tram and go around the town kind of tour, but boy, was I wrong in a good way. It was packed with activities and information, which makes you appreciate the town more becuase you would connect what you learned while you explore on your own. My guide, Ivanka, was wonderful.
Excellent driving tour in an open trolley. Good mix of history and hands on activities. Guides were very informative while bouncing back and forth between English and Spanish
This was such a fun tour, we learned a lot about the beautiful city of Tlaquepaque and got to do hands on activities. Ivanka and her husband are excellent guides. I think the best part of the tour was that we made clay cups with an artist that’s been doing it for decades and got to take them home. One of the stops was at a little indoor market and we got to have crickets for the first time. We have fond memories because of this tour, and would recommend to any age.
Fun day in Tlaquepaque! Unique experiences painting tiles, seeing art, viewing candy making, making pottery. And, of course, shopping.
Best tour guide ever. Had such a wonderful experience. I was able to be artistic with my tile and paint a Lugia. Learned about chocolate, and local candies!
An unforgettable experience and we feel well acquainted with the magical town of Tlaquepaque. Our tour started with Sergio and ended with Ivanka, excellent people who are not only extremely knowledgeable about their work but very passionate as well. We got to make our own clay cups with a wonderful artisan by the colorful Tlaquepaque sign and had a fun time painting our own clay tiles. We highly recommend this tour for couples or families with children of middle school age and up. I get to say I had my first grasshopper, ant snack, and cazuelas from here. We learned so much from our tour guides. Everything was wonderful, and it’s a day well spent.
I had the get fortune to be the only one on the tour this day. I had a blast painting a tile at Cantu and visiting with there staff. Happily but clumsily threw a clay pot. Enjoyed the candy factory tour and the tram ride. It was a very enjoyable day and provided a nice overview of Tlaquepaque.
This was so much fun!! We did things that were enjoyed by all, even me (a boring accountant). We made our own tiles, made clay doggies (and was helped by the woman who runs the facility), learned about how they make all sorts of sweets (and got to sample them!), and then had a tour of Tlaquepaque (or should I say, San Pedro as our most excellent tour guide, Ivanka, told us it could be called). We have friends coming in January and we will most certainly take this tour again and hope we have Ivanka with us again (even her husband driving!)!
The tour is fun and entertaining. Ivanka & Sergio were our guides and they're lovely. I highly recommend this tour.
I had a 7 hour wait time at the airport for my connecting flight. I googled tlaquepaque and as soon as I got to there, I saw the unique tranvia! The driver Josue was super informative, attentive and even offered to take my pictures since I was there solo. There were other families in my trip and we kept waiting for locals to yell "vamonos" so we could answer back "vamonos". It's a game locals have with the tranvia and its a fun way to interact while in the tranvia. We made a few stops that where they offer samples of candy, cajeta, liquor, and even had raspadito that was included for the sane price. Fun, informative, and worth every penny!
For the first time, my husband and I are spending 5 days in Guadalajara. Yesterday we decided (unplanned) to visit Tlaquepaque. We didn't know where to go. This tour was affordable, on wheels (the trolley is so nice and characteristic), one hour long and very informative. We want to thank Sergio (our driver) and Ivanka (our guide), who both talk a perfect English, for being so nice and funny. Not just They provided us with info on the history and traditions of Tlaquepaque, but they also gave us many helpful information on where to go to visit museums, for shopping, for lunch, for tequila tasting. They told us where to have lunch and to enjoy a mariachi show at the same time while sitting at the table, with a nice big refreshing drink (cazuela Tlaquepaque) and a delicious Mexican dish (at a very reasonable price too)! It was a wonderful experience that we will never forget. Thank you Sergio and Ivanka. All my 5 stars to EL TRANVIA DE TLAQUEPAQUE.
Let me start by saying that we really found a gem with Club Turistico Pasaporte. Our Tlaquepaque tour was better than anything we had in Tequila. If your are in the Tequila area I highly recommend the tour. Our tour guide Mariana kept us informed on the history and details of this "Pueblo Mágico". We will definitely take another tour!
Worth way more than the price of admission. The guide was very personable and allowed us to spend as much time in the shops as we wanted.
Honestly, this is the best way to start your time in Tlaquepaque. The guides were awesome, and it was a great way to see what you want to do in Tlaquepaque! It’s such a cute town!
My wife and I took this tour and booked at while in Tlaqupaque. The staff are bi-lingual and are willing to answer any questions. Maria Ana was our guide and made sure we had a good experience. We took the tour with the workshop of candy and we want to take it again next time we return to Tlaquepaque. What a wonderful way to know the town.
While walking among the shops and restaurants I came upon this tour. I explained I only spoke English and luckily at one of the first stops they changed guides to one who spoke English. Was a very nice tour in the trolley that went about the various sites to see in Tlaquapaque. It saves a lot of walking and informative about the various buildings, old churches and restaurants. It was only 100 pesos or about $5 for the tour. Well worth it.
The moment I booked through TripAdvisor ,I got a personal whatsup from Jose who said he will be our guide . We were running late and Jose waited fro us and did a tour anyway . He is passionate and a great story teller . Its a 30 min tour and great value for the money .
Really good time awesome tour really recommend it for people who are looking for a awesome tour of the city and it’s history
10/10 I loved everything, the tour was incredible and the workshops even more so. Super fun to do in a group or solo
Very good experience, especially the activities of making sweets, creating the tile, and making my own clay cup. Alejandra, my very kind guide.
Bad bad bad, very poor information about the place and few places to visit only goes around in the same 3 blocks over and over again, does not justify the price or time spent on the tour
It was a very pleasant experience Ivanka was our guide at the candy factory super recommended that tour, and on the Serbian tram it was very funny If you are going to Tlaquepaque take this tour and ask Sergio or Ivanka VAAAAMOOOOOOONOOOOOSS
The tour is wonderful Ivanka took us to the candy factory and the jugs. Super dad loved it.and Sergio was our guide on the super recommended train Gracais
Attractive walk Although I didn't find staff to guide you anywhere to know the cost or your route There were people waiting for more than 45 min and I ended up retiring because the tram never appeared I hope on my next visit I can enjoy this walk through Tlaquepaque ...
It was an amazing experience. The truth Ernesto was the heart of our day. He was always very attentive and had a lot of considerations and empathy towards my situation (I have limitations on walking). I had an amazing time and it was a pleasure to live with him, he is certainly a valuable part of your team because he is the first contact and being treated with so much interest already anticipates what will come next. Congratulations on your work, really. And Alejandro, was not far behind, excellent guide, very kind and equally careful with me. They have a great team. ✨ Also the attention by whatsapp was excellent. Thank you for showing us Tlaquepaque, we take it close, excellent initiatives of artisans for sharing their work and processes. Thanks for having those contacts with them. And thank you for the flexibility to agree to add one more last minute activity. I highly recommend them.
It lasts about 40 minutes, I carry around some streets the typical of the place. He also left us in a cultural center place where he showed pictures for sale, this one had no bathroom, so I went to a parking lot opposite, as they always have bathroom. It is a pity that the municipal presidency has not put toilets in the center. Although there was a certain square, this one was closed
An excellent walk through the most important parts of the city where they explain the wonderful history of the place and give you the best recommendations to spend a wonderful afternoon in this magical town!!!! Thank you.
