Private Tequila Tour In Guadalajara

Dear Viator Customer Support, I am extremely disappointed at the service we have received today. We booked a private tour starting at 11:30 AM, yet the vehicle did not arrive until 3 hours later. This delay caused us to lose our entire morning and significantly impacted our plans for the day. To make matters worse, when we made the reservation, we clearly indicated that our group consisted of 6 people. Despite this, a TAXI sedan was sent to pick us up, which is obviously not suitable for a private tour for six passengers. This should have been taken into account from the moment the reservation was confirmed. This has been a very poor experience with Viator so far, especially considering the expectations we had when booking through your platform. At this point, I sincerely hope that the tour itself will meet our expectations and make up, at least in part, for the inconvenience and frustration we have experienced today. US$460 !!! For a taxi ??? He was not a guide, he was a taxi driver who only took us there. We check the price for a taxi and it was $40. This was a scam!!! We took a picture of the price of a cab if you need it.

The driver was lovely and took us to the places we wanted but he didn’t speak any English so this wasn’t really a tour at all. I felt quite missold.

Wonderful experience, our guide Carlos was amazing and pulled up along the road to show us lots of places and gave great advices for tradional food, such as barbacoa and birria. He was super nice to us and available to change of plans. Definitely would recommend him and his tours to anyone

The variety of tequila distillery stops was great - we went to four places, all quite different from each other and with different explanations of what they do. Lots of sampling :-) And our guide took us to Guachimontones as well after the tequila tour (for an extra fee). We appreciated his flexibility. Overall, Carlos was very friendly and helpful - we hired him to take us to the airport the next morning as well. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time. Our tour guide Ambrosio aka Pocho aka Primo was excellent. He made sure we were safe and adjusted the tour to our needs. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to visit the area. Car was clean, AC was working. Just great all around!

The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had a great day there, which obviously also added up to the experience. From the beginning, the tour guide was very punctual, warm and friendly. We loved the different distilleries and must of all the beautiful and espectacular restaurant that our tour guide recommended. We ordered our tour at 11am on New Year’s Eve, and were picked up by 1pm - impressive on such short notice. Our driver Gilberto was fantastic! Spoke perfect English, was very accommodating. Highly recommended.

We had a good day, overall, but a very rocky start. The original driver arrived to pick us up in the equivalent of a Geo metro. We are four adults, including an 83-year-old man with mobility issues and a 6”4” adult man. The four of us barely fit in the vehicle, and it was extremely cramped and uncomfortable. After about five minutes of driving, we realized the vehicle had no AC and was in need of new shocks, as every bump we hit cause extreme pain to the elderly member of our group. We told the driver to stop and that we would be canceling the trip due to the poor quality of the vehicle. There’s no way we could spend five hours in that hot, cramped car! The driver had initially said there was no other option for us, and that small car was all they could offer. After we asked to cancel the trip, somehow another guide was located who had a more comfortable van. We decided to try it. We waited over an hour for the replacement vehicle to come for us, but once it arrived, it was very nice and comfortable. That second driver was friendly and professional, and we had a good day on the tour with him. I cannot believe the low quality of vehicle that was initially provided to us, it absolutely was not worth the money. The van that we were eventually placed in was worth the money. Our only real complaint at the end of the day is it we lost so much time, and ended up finishing the tour much later at night than expected. My advice would be to ask a lot of questions about what kind of vehicle will be provided. I didn’t think I had to do that, but learned the hard way!

Such a great day. Going to the different distilleries was a blast. So good learning and seeing how it's all done. Our tour guide was amazing and felt like we left a friend when he dropped us back to the hotel.

This town is truly magical. The locals are friendly. This towns makes you feel welcome and you feel the mexican culture. Tequila tasting is a must. We had a great time the views were amazing. Everything was wonderful we had a great time in Tequila.

Very satisfied with this tour! Ramiro was excellent, informative, and extremely savvy getting around Tequila and the surrounding areas. Our tour was different in that we met Ramiro in Tequila as opposed to being picked up in GDL. Because of that, our stops were in a different order than normal. We hit the extreme swing first, then the hotel for brunch (optional - not included in tour), followed by selecto, tres mujeres, cantarito place (went to a different one that was less busy based on Ramiro’s suggestion - very happy with that!), don valente was closed unfortunately, distillery aguirrena, and then ended in the tequila main center because that is where we met Ramiro to begin. I am extremely happy that we went to Selecto as the first distillery because that is where we learned how to taste/drink tequila which made the rest of our day much more enjoyable! I felt that tasting was the most informative and personal, although we fully toured both tres mujeres and aguirrena. Very happy with the services of Ramiro and this business.

Tequila making process education and the tasting experience itself. Watching the “vast” agave farms was also interesting. The little prayer said before tasting was cute. Driver didn’t speak English, which made it challenging. Tour company could have done a better job with communication and setting expectations. Some places closed by 4pm.

The truth is that I was very disappointed with the “tour”, first it is not a tour, it is just a person who drops you off at the places and you have to see in the place how you do it to find the distillery tour Furthermore, since we were about to arrive in Tequila, the driver began to make comments that not all the places on the itinerary were worth it, that it would be better if we only went to the most notable ones, when we told him that we wanted to go to all of them. Then he began to make it clear that the tour does not last until 6pm and that we were not going to finish so we had better choose where we wanted to go because at 6 we had to return, and he mentioned that if we wanted more time there would be a cost extra What a shame to me after you pay more than 4000 pesos In the end we only went to 4 places of the 8 that the tour mentions Apart from this tequila is amazing and you should go, just not with this tour
