The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly.
Our group of 10 really enjoyed our tour around the downtown area of Guadalajara with Thiago. Something good to know is that the food is NOT INCLUDED in the payment of the tour, but this can be a good thing if some of your group wants to skip certain dishes. Our guide Thiago was very engaging and knowledgeable. It was a highlight of our trip and we highly recommend that any group that wants to know more about the history and food of Guadalajara, book this trip!
Verry good day bewdiful weather and great food / well done to our guide - I would recommend this tour

Alejandro was an excellent guide and shared so much information with us during this time! We had the best time and loved all the food we tried as well, thank you!
Great walking tour of Guadalajara, Alex was a knowledgeable and fascinating guide, and as a local showed his true passion for Guadalajara and Jalisco. He also took us to the most delicious food places, which we never would have discovered on our own. Five stars
Our tour guide Santiago was a pleasure to hang out with. He is very knowledgeable about local food and culture. We learned a lot and ate a lot. It’s a great way to get to know the area. Highly recommended.

His knowledge of the city, culture, and food was incredible, and he shared everything with such patience, kindness, and humor. He made us feel welcome from start to finish, and we shared plenty of laughs along the way. We learned so much about Guadalajara and its rich history while enjoying some truly delicious food. The city has so much to offer, and this tour is a fantastic way to experience its culture, flavors, and charm. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Guadalajara!
Elena is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She answered every question and her tour was fascinating. We had 2 local favorite eats, which were small, authentic locations. We would highly recommend this tour with Elena.
Elena was great! Love the history, the stories, the food! It was like exploring Guadalajara with Friend!
Marine was great! We learned a lot about Guadalajara while walking through the city center. We ended with lunch in the mercado. She gave us many terrific recommendations for other places to go and to eat.
Marine was an excellent tour guide showing us the highlights of the historic center of Guadalajara. She was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we really had a great time.
Amazing journey into the history of this famous place conducted by our tour guide Alejandro. We had artisan ice cream and local delicacies. And the finale was an amazing lunch . A must do tour.
Great tour of the city and the market! Our family enjoyed the experience as we were able to get our first taste of the city.
Excellent tour. Alex was friendly and very knowledgeable. Not only did he cover the highlights, but he also dug into the finer points when we asked questions. Enthusiastic and polite, Alex gets six stars!
Thiago was an excellent guide! We had a great time exploring the city and trying some of the traditional foods in the area. I would definitely recommend this as a fun way to start your trip and get to know the area!
Elena is a great guide and her English was very good. Great historian of Centro Guadalajara and friendly and personable.
An excellent historical primer on the city and region, with some fantastic street food (and fruits!) I wouldn’t have known to order or how to eat. Thiago was a great guide: knowledgeable, friendly, good English. Highly recommended.
I had a lovely experience with Thiago in this tour. All the food he introduced me to was amazing and all from very local spots. Thiago was knowledgeable about the city and its history, and I learned a lot while walking around!
I highly recommend this tour. It was truly a private tour. We saw historical sites and had great food. The market visit was a highlight. Thiago, our tour guide, was phenomenal.
Tlana was our tour guide. She was so funny and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tour- we met at plaza las armas, went to the market and tried two stands, and then had tejuino. We walked the city while Tlana explained everything in the center. We enjoyed our time but I do wish we tried more food.
This tour is fantastic. Our guide knew so much history and showed us many sights around the city. He also gave us many sample of different foods and we got to choose some of our own samples at some stops. I would highly recommend this food tour.
Our tour guide Thiago was excellent! He knows his stuff! He described everything and was patient and very polite!😊. Worth the price!!
This walking street food tour of Guadalajara was phenomenal! Every stop was a delicious adventure — from savory tacos and birria to refreshing tejuino and sweet treats I’d never even heard of. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing not just food, but the rich history and culture behind each bite. It felt like exploring the city with a local friend who knew all the hidden gems. I left full, happy, and with a whole new appreciation for Jalisco’s culinary scene. If you’re in Guadalajara, this tour is an absolute must!
Less food than history, but that was fine for us. As a private couple we enjoyed the art and architecture and history . There was a festival of dance going on so we took some time to see the dance. Thiago, was very knowlegable about foods and history with many good stories and annecdotes. We saw some very different things and enjoyed the oldest café in Guadalajara. You can make this your tour.
Where good walking shoes and have a good appetite! Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Spoke good English. I’m so glad we did this tour because it was the first time visiting Guadalajara
Our street food tour through the San Juan De Dios market was an unforgettable experience, our guide, Tlane, was very friendly and you could tell she loved Mexican food. I consider that we clicked instantly and the tour was A1, the food was delicious and we compared the food terms with those of our country, Peru, since the food in certain aspects was very similar and we were very satisfied with the Mexican food.
Great experience with Tlane our guide. She was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Guadalajaran local who gave us an interesting tour of her City. Awesome
A wonderful tour of the center of Guadalajara. Our guide, Tlane, was very informative and offered insight into the various places, art, and food of Guadalajara. We toured around the cathedral, by import buildings and locations related to forming of the city. We then toured the Mercado Libertad and had wonderful food from various vendors, including fish tacos, menudo, and birria quesadillas.
Tlane gave us a fantastic tour! A great storyteller and very knowledgeable. She truly made our visit to GDL very special and memorable!
This tour was a great way to experience multiple things that Guadalajara has to offer. The walking part of the tour was a great highlights overview of Guadalajara historical sites in the city center, as well as some of the modern art installations. Our guide was knowledgeable and very engaging. The second part of the tour was focused on the food where we got to learn about and try multiple different kinds of the local street food specialties. It was a great way to get an introduction to the city and its culture.
First off — It's still hard to believe that Santiago's, "Tiago," English is self taught. He speaks English quite well. At times, we flipped to Spanish, because I speak Spanish as well. It was quite playful. Secondly — Tiago is outgoing and very friendly. His warm manner is graciously respectful as appropriate. It is clear that Tiago enjoys what he does. Tiago knows his history of Guadalajara inside and out. His energetic storytelling style makes the information engaging and real; happy to answer any questions I had. There was never any rush; he informed me that our pace was based on my desires. Local vendors are happy to see him and greet him with happy faces — as a friend they'd missed seeing. At the food market, Tiago explained the local "signature" dishes as we sat at the counter. Further along the market, we stopped to taste "some fruits I'd probably never seen or tasted before." (I'm from US, California specifically) Sharing the names and characteristics as he cut them in half and then I ate the centers. Two of the fruits are meant to be eaten whole and so he took us to the wash station to make sure they were cleaned before I ate them. Because it was two days before La Navidad, the "merchandise" (my term) market was a bit crowded (made for a lively time)...again Tiago explained bits and pieces of interesting stalls, especially the witchcraft stalls. When I showed interest in something he stepped back or stepped forward depending on what I needed. Tiago knows how to read people's needs. As we walked our way across another plaza, history came to life again. I really appreciated how he explained why the indigenous leader's statue was erected directly across from the history of the Spanish reign in Guadalajara as explained through statues against the wall (once you see it, you'll understand my inept description. After closing up our tour, he offered to walk together as we were leaving in the same direction. Tiago's friendly and upbeat manner, knowledge, sincerity, and pride in his city's history shine. I highly recommend Tiago for any group size — solo (as was my tour) to larger numbers of people.
We absolutely LOVED our time with Carlos! He was a fantastic guide for history and food! He was warm, funny, and friendly! Highly recommend!
My guide was Pablo. He was attentive, kind, and punctual. He contacted me days before the tour and I was able to ask questions about it. He provides you with a lot of historical data. I had a pleasant time walking for 3 hours in the center of Guadalajara and you can customize it. I recommend you wear sneakers, carry cash, and stay an additional amount of time if you want to shop calmly in the markets. Regarding the food, it is better to share several dishes and they are cheap; the main ones are caldo en su jugo, torta ahogada, quesobirria, and tejuino. The area is safe because it is touristy, but it is better to go accompanied by a local.
A nice city, the tour full of drunks, and a lot of wasted time. We enjoyed it, but we would have liked it to be shorter. Better if you go on your own, the tour is very slow
We visited the city, with friends and family of Guadalajara who made guides and got the best tours and the truth was fabulous, they told us part of the story and we visited orendain house founded in 1926 and the agaves plantations, a tasting of tequilas to all give, beautiful
