The hot springs were beautiful and the experience was amazing and was very personalized to our group. David also did a great job telling us about the area and making sure we were taken care of well when needed. 10/10 guide and experience

It was a really beautiful place, that’s why they got 2 stars. But the guide was not good. We were a group of young adults who are a bit fit but the guide was walking so fast we could not keep up so instead of getting to enjoy the hike and the views we had to worry about not loosing the guide since there was multiple tracks going in different directions. Since he did not wait for us and just kept going we lost him a few times and had to shout for him hoping he would hear. He was also very stressed the whole time we were there which made us feel bad. The guide also tried to cancel our booking an hour before saying ”there will be so many people” (there were not that many people when we got there) which is not very professional when we have paid a lot of money. You should totally go there but avoid the guide named Daniel.
The canyon was breath taking with falls and natural springs, soaking pool, and natural wild life all around. Daniel was super friendly, enthusiastic, easy to talk with, knowledgeable and just a fun, easy going guy. The hike was moderate yet steep and slippery in a few places but easy to navigate. We really enjoyed our hike and Daniel was wonderful.
Daniel was an amazing tour guide, he was knowledgeable and very helpful. It’s quite a workout but it’s an amazing hike.
I enjoyed this experience. Daniel is s a great guide and a lot of the views are beautiful. But there are some things you should know before you go. First of all, if you are not used to the altitude, you will find this a challenging hike, especially on the way back at the mountain. There are a lot of places where the footing is not very good and this will take a lot of energy out of you. The pools themselves are not as pretty as they look in the pictures, but again this place is still nice. Just make sure you get a good night's sleep the night before, eat a good breakfast, stay hydrated, and use a lot of sunscreen.
Great experience & views that only the true locals know about! He was very knowledgeable & great with Spanish & English. Walk down the back roads & through the woods to get to beautiful waterfalls and springs to swim in. The hike back up was extremely challenging for me but not the others. Stopped at the general store for more water on the way back and a random guy climbed the tree to get us all fresh mangos. Very local and rewarding experience. I would highly recommend with 2 pairs of great shoes for 1. hiking and 2. walking in water. A light towel, snack. An extra change of cloths for after swimming to hike back up. A wonderful memory I will never forget!
The hike was not for out of shape people. I tripped and hit my head on rocks going down. The very steep trip was way harder than people said. I feel they should have been more specific on the hike. Straight down on wet rocks. The water falls was warm but only 45 minutes in and then a severe hike up the same way. The walk up took all the fun from this trip.
There were no. springs. It was just a small pool at the bottom of a small waterfall. Very disappointing. The hike down and back was very hot and very strenuous with no place to sit at the pool or along the rough trail. The hike is 1,000 feet vertical steep elevation. Waste of time and money.
Really nice hike and highly recommended if you like to explore nature. Daniel was really flexible, so we changed a bit the route! Thanks so much for this wonderful hiking day!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time on our hike with Daniel this morning. He is punctual, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the local plants and wildlife. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing and hearing wild parrots across the canyon. The waterfalls are gorgeous. There is a small tienda near the entrance to the trail if you need to buy beverages or snacks. Afterwards, my boyfriend and I got fish tacos and beer at the marisqueria near the meeting point. Parts of the trail were a little tricky to descend but we did fine (my boyfriend and I are over 50 and 60 respectively) and I actually thought the hike back up the canyon was easier than the hike down! Very glad we booked this excursion.
Daniel was so kind and as a solo traveller from Canada he made me feel safe. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic experience. Great hike, great views, amazing hot spring, amazing guide. He also recommended the best taco place for me to go eat after.
The hike is challenging and absolutely breathtaking. I recommend bringing water, sunscreen and wearing comfortable clothes. However what truly makes te experience great is Daniels patience and desire to make it a great experience for all. He is patient, kind and attentive and made the experience extra special for us. I highly recommend this experience for anyone who is looking for a special nature focused excursion.
Great tour, spot where we were taken was known only by locals and not many people were there, the water and views along the way were amazing. What really stood out were the recommendations about other places to visit, food and events we got along the way. Fully recommend!
This excursion with Daniel was exceptional. We hiked down some pretty slick rocks/trails and it was slow going at times, but Daniel made sure that I was well supported and we took lots of breaks there and back. The waterfall blew my mind. The temperature was warm!!! I couldn't believe how perfect it was, surrounded in butterflies, birds, exotic flowers, dragon flies, hummingbirds, blue/green/purple parrots, and of course numerous waterfalls. The water was crystal clear and you could see/feel small fish nibbling my legs while sitting under the waterfall. felt like I was on a movie set, not a stone's throw from the 2nd largest city in Mexico. Thank you Daniel, for one of the most magical days of my whole life!
It was great! A real highlight of our trip! The hike down is gorgeous, if a little bit slippery at parts (wear practical shoes).
Such an interesting trip! Daniel is very knowledgeable and friendly. And he takes good photos. Will do this again for sure!
Nice hike down to a pretty cascade water fall area with warm pools. Great exercise and then relaxing rest in pool.
Me and my 2 kids 12 and 16 went on this tour. It was amazing. Water in the springs was warm - not hot not cold just perfect. Daniel was a great guide. He walked us thru the whole experience and we had full freedom to spend as much time as we wanted at the springs pool. He also carried my backpack on the way back! beatiful experience with nature and all by ourselves - very comfortable and unique experience in the canyons - Thanks Daniel for a wonder ful day !
Daniel was such a great guide. Friendly and informative. The hike is beautiful and while steep, not difficult. You hike in and out of the canyon, so wear comfortable shoes. The natural pool at the bottom is crystal clear and full of friendly fish. The water is refreshing and the perfect place to just soak. A very beautiful surprise and so worth it. 10/10
An amazing day! Thanks to our guide Daniel who was the star of the show, he has extensive local knowledge and was super nice. The hike was stunning and the hot springs was something out of a magazine. The majority of the day was spent relaxing in the springs while the “in and out” hike was reasonably easy.
I loved this tour with Daniel. The place is stunning, and the water is crystal clear and super pleasant! Our guide provided us with lots of interesting information and great tips. I highly recommend it! Muchas gracias por todo Daniel! 😁
Highly recommended to all nature enthusiasts who live a good adventure. Beautiful experience to say the least. Our tour guide Daniel was an excellent guide.
Booked on a Sunday night for Monday morning. Ben texted me in the morning to move the hike to Tuesday. Later in the day Ben texted again to say Daniel refused to take me on the hike on Tuesday because it was a holiday and it would be too “crowded”. I’m sure it’s a nice hike, but I never got to go. Very disappointed the host refused to accommodate me.
I am sure this a great hike but I did not get to go. Booked on Sunday night to go Monday morning. Ben texted to try and move the trip to the following day, but Tuesday was a holiday and Daniel wouldn't go because it would be too "crowded". Book in advance, Daniel will cancel on you.
Daniel, is so knowledgeable about the history, native plants, and is very patient. He cares a lot about the environment. It was a very beautiful and awesome hike to the waterfall and swimming pools. It was very hot and humid so please go prepared with plenty of water as the way back is a steady incline. Overall a serene beautiful hike and swim. I would definitely recommend it!
Daniel our guide is a good person and he takes care of the people around him. The place is beautiful.
Daniel is a good guide and cares for the people. I highly recommend this tour to enjoy nature and at the same time understand about how we are destroying.
I booked this tour almost entirely because it was advertised as being in English and was available for a last-minute booking. Our guide, Daniel, did not speak English, but he was extremely kind and helpful. He understood I was getting over a broken heart even though we could barely communicate, and the waterfall was absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a brief respite from the stress of Guadalajara, this is a solid option. Just don't expect your guide to speak English.
An amazing experience! Mother Nature at its finest. Great way to explore and hike. It was hard but worth at the end. Got to relax and enjoy fresh water
Great hike in beautiful mountains outside of Guadalajara. Very relaxing hike. Swimming in the warm pool at the bottom was the best!!!
Absolutely great experience. Hike was a bit more difficult than I expected. Wear good fitting shoes and take plenty of water. Toor guide Daniel is awesome. He was very informative of the area, history and provides stories. Best part is he is eye candy!!! Thanks for the adventure.
Our guide Daniel was very attentive and for that part, I hope that my opinion does not affect his work. Unfortunately, the beginning of the hike goes through some rather ugly areas, with trash and a smell of sewage. As we went further down into the canyon, the landscape was prettier, that is true, but we passed through areas where the rocks were wet with sewage water. The pool we swam in is small and sadly has graffiti, so it did not look as pretty as in the photos we saw in the post. We looked into it afterward and it turns out that the waterfall we saw in the Huentitán canyon is actually the drainage, so I got a little nervous that we had been swimming in potentially contaminated water. When we were at the pool, a group of men arrived with speakers and marijuana, so our group got nervous because there were many women among us.
It was one of my best experiences in Guadalajara. This is definitely worth it. The waterfalls are magnificent. The place is peaceful. I felt at peace for the time I spent there. Daniel was exceptional, the people we met there were really warm. Life is very beautiful. The hike back was harder because it was uphill. Prepare yourselves. I will definitely go back.
The spring is very beautiful, the water is clean and refreshing after the hike :)
Daniel is amazing! He had a lot of patience. And as he said come down singing and I came up crying hahaha. The experience was very nice. Don’t forget to bring something to eat, water and towel. 😊
When we started the tour everything went to plan and the route we followed was something spectacular for us for its views, arriving at the meeting point of the hot springs was a wonderful thing as it allowed us to see the waterfalls and enjoy the hot springs. Excellent guide was always attentive to us and allowed us to pause to take pictures. And with a spectacular ending my good Daniel.
A great hike and a beautiful place. Daniel is a great tour guide and we could take as much time to swim and enjoy as we wanted.
I had the opportunity to make this incredible experience which surprised me a lot for good, the path to get to the place offers a spectacular panoramic, the waterfalls are beautiful, the water is completely crystal clear and with a pleasant temperature. Finally, I congratulate Daniel on being a great guide who showed great passion and love for his work at all times.
The thermal bath was very small. Bad scrape. Descent and ascent the same way. Should be different in my view.
