Knowledgeable and friendly, engaging guide. Lots of good history and insight into the city , history and culture of Guadalajara. I highly recommend this tour.
Angel is a rock star tour guide. Like most guides, he is very knowledgeable about the buildings and history and art and food of Guadalajara we saw. Where he stands above the rest is in his curiosity to learn from you and his ability to weave together seemingly different themes to provide you with a deeper appreciation for why things happened. I left the tour not just learning facts about the history of Guadalajara, but a deeper understanding of what makes this place unique and special.
Fernando was a fantastic tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the city's history and monuments. I ended up being the only person on the tour and enjoyed my time a lot. I would absolutely recommend this tour and book a different one with Fernando the next time in the area.
It was a very interesting and educational walking tour highlighting the Centro Historico's iconic buildings, churches, monuments and market. Fernando enthusiastically imparted knowledge of the city's history, its founders and artists. He expertly explained the Orozco murals, a must see. I highly recommend Fernando as your guide. His sociology and political science background really shows in the depth of his explanations about the city, art, and local culture. He takes his time, keeps everyone engaged, and makes the tour very insightful. The traditional market lunch was also fantastic. Highly recommend this tour.

Did this tour on my first day in the city and it was a great introduction to the history of Guadalajara. Fernando was a wealth of knowledge and wonderful host
Checo, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about Mexican history and art. He gave us an understanding of the city from its beginning to modern times. At the end of the tour we stopped at the market and had a torta at his grandfathers shop. A memorable experience!
We learned so much on our walking tour! Fernando was excellent — so informative, shared stories and suggestions that only someone who grew up in Guadalajara would know. We enjoyed every moment of it!
Guide was extremely knowledgeable and open to any/all questions. Easy short walk with amazing architecture and stunning murals, steeped in history. Educational.
Fernando was an extremely knowledgeable guide and gave a lot of context and history for all of the sites.
Mostly standing, no headsets or microphones, something could have been substituted for closed government building. Good info on Orozco murals.

I had an amazing day exploring Guadalajara! The city is full of history and great energy. Our guide, Fernando, was outstanding—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the local culture. Fernando was awesome. So knowledgeable and made the whole experience amazing from start to finish. Would definitely recommend to travelers here for a short time and looking for a quality experience.
Fernando was an excellent tour guide. He is very educated on the murals and also the area in general. He's very engaging and we had a great time
Captivating our attention with so much history but made it easier to remember with personal reference.
Excellent tour- very informative guide, enjoyed the spaces that we toured, a great way to connect with the history of Mexico.
Ridiculously knowledgeable, personable guide led a simply fantastic tour packed with history and culture. We’d go again if we could!
Having been on walking tours in various countries, my husband and I agree that Fernando's tour was one of the best. Thank goodness the tour was not a boring review of one after another church but rather a smattering of religious, political and artistic sites. Fernando is smart, well-informed and passionate. He did not whitewash some unpleasant realities such as protestors outside government buildings yet his explanations could not be interpreted as one-sided. We particularly enjoyed the way he introduced the Orozco murals by allowing us to first experience before instructing. My only suggestion is that he make an effort to be more recognizable for the meetup- perhaps with a logo on his backpack/shirt/ hat.
The weather was perfect for our walking tour. Guadalajara is such a beautiful city so rich in history. Our tour guide Fernando was fantastic. Very knowledgeable . Guadalajara is definitely one of many Mexico gems 💎
Our tour guide, Fernando, was en excellent tour guide. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. We bagan at the main plaza in front of the catedral of Guadalajara and Government palace. He explained the history of the founding of Guadalajara's city, and how it was built. We then went to the cathedral and toured inside followed by a walk to the DeGollado Theater to admite the architecture and a bit of rest. We then proceeded through the Hospice Cabañas for the Murals from Orozco, one of the most important artists from Guadalajara. He gave very informative insight into Orozco’s murals. It’s impressive. Overall, I highly recommend this tour.

I’d highly recommend it for anyone visiting for the first time or looking to understand more about Guadalajara’s past.
Fernando was an excellent tour guide. He was punctual and was in contact communication leading up to our meeting time. Tour did not feel rushed at all. Fernando spent ample time in each location going in depth with information. Came out of the tour definitely knowing more about Guadalajara's history than going in!
Fernando was a great tour guide. He provided, without being overwhelming, a good amount of information, historical context and background as well as current viewpoints and practical information for visitors to Guadalajara
Fernando is a wonderful host and historian. His interactions with our group were delightful as well as welcoming. He was pleasurable and genuine.
My husband and I booked a walking tour of Guadalajara. Our guide was Fernando, who was excellent. Even with the construction zones, he was able to highlight what is taking place in the area for FIFA World Cup next year. He’s very knowledgeable of all the historic sites including in depth knowledge of the Orozco murals. He is professional, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and great sense of humor. I highly recommend a tour with Fernando.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Tour with Fernando – Insightful, Bilingual, and Kind! We had an incredible experience on our history and mural tour of Centro Guadalajara, thanks to Fernando. He was not only deeply knowledgeable about the city’s history, art, and architecture but also impressively bilingual, switching seamlessly between Spanish and English to make sure everyone felt included and informed. Fernando’s passion for the culture and history of Guadalajara really came through in every stop on the tour. He took time to answer questions, explain the stories behind the murals and buildings, and made everything engaging and accessible. His kindness, patience, and sense of humor added so much to the experience. If you’re considering a cultural tour in Guadalajara, Fernando is a top-tier guide—we left feeling more connected to the city and its rich history. Highly recommended!

My sister and I had a truly wonderful time on this tour, and Fernando was an absolute highlight of the experience. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind, making the entire day both enjoyable and enriching. There is so much to see and learn on this tour—from fascinating architecture to vibrant murals—and Fernando brought each stop to life with his insights. I also had the chance to try Tejuino for the first time, which I personally loved! I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore and understand the local culture more deeply. I’m so grateful to have met Fernando and to have shared this memorable experience with such an exceptional guide.
Fernando was an excellent guide. He really went above and beyond and was so genuinely interested in the topics that he had to cut himself at times. This is a good thing! It didn't feel like he was rushing through the tour at all. We really enjoyed hearing his viewpoints on politics, the state of the country, and of course the history.
We started right on time at the kiosk. Fernando was great at providing detailed accounts at every stop we made. Since it was just me, we had lots of conversations about the different historical events of Guadalajara and México. He provided interesting insights specially at the Museo Cabañas. He walked me to the mercado and provided a great recommendation for the best birria there. Highly recommend him as a guide. Fernando was an exceptional tour guide—truly one of the best we’ve had. His deep knowledge and passion for Guadalajara’s culture, history, and culinary traditions brought the city to life in unforgettable ways. His storytelling, especially at the Museo Cabañas while explaining José Clemente Orozco’s murals, left a lasting impression on both of us. Fernando also introduced us to Tejuino and guided us to some of the best tortas ahogadas in the city’s bustling market center. It was a hands-down phenomenal experience that my wife and I will never forget. Highly recommend!

His passion for the local history and culture truly brought every stop on the tour to life. What really stood out was his ability to make us feel welcome. Whether we had a question, needed help, or just wanted a good recommendation for a local spot, Fernando was there with a smile and the perfect answer. The pacing of the tour was perfect—informative but never rushed, with just the right amount of time to explore. I left with a deeper appreciation for the place and memories I’ll treasure for a long time. If you’re considering a tour, don’t hesitate—ask for Fernando. You won’t be disappointed!
This tour was fantastic! I loved exploring the historical buildings and learning about the city's deep history and culture. My guide, Fernando Jose, was excellent – both friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He really brought Orozco's artwork to life at the Cabañas Museum with his insightful commentary. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.
Fernando, does an amazing job at reviewing each spot and telling the reason it is important to the history of Guadalajara, the state of Jalisco, and how the Americas were conquered. If you enjoy history and architecture this tour is definitely for you. Now if you love art, don't miss out on your chance to see the Hospicio Cabañas that showcases Orozco murals. I appreciated the time to view and develop my own personal thoughts on the murals, and then getting to hear more of the understanding behind each of the frescos. Remember this is a live city, with history being made daily, so if something doesn't look how you expect try to understand the reasons behind the actions taken. I know there were comments made about graffiti, but I am glad to see the movements for equality and the voices being given to the voiceless, and Fernando is open to acknowledge the protests and the reasoning for it in a non-biased way.
