Our tour guide was amazing. He had us laughing the whole time and was very informative. I would recommend this tour in a heartbeat.

Itinerary
At this distillery, we will learn about the semi artisanal process for making tequila, where we will also taste its different varieties of tequila and liqueurs, accompanied by our expert guides.
We will venture into the heart of the town of Amatitán known as the "cradle of tequila" where you will visit an ancient cave featuring a natural spring. Set within a beautiful former hacienda, you will learn the history and origins of the spirit known as "vino mezcal" while relaxing in a local tavern, accompanied by a regional historian and enjoying further tastings including the option to sample the spirit straight from the barrel.
Home of the famous "cantarito" cocktail, its festive atmosphere filled with music and dancing makes it the perfect place to unwind with this citrus and tequila based drink.
In the iconic *Pueblo Mágico* (Magical Town) of Tequila, you will have the freedom to dine at one of the local restaurants and enjoy traditional regional dishes; you can also explore the streets and shops and, of course, snap some photos.

Man this tour was so fun, amazing experience. You learn the process of making tequila at the Tres Mujeres distillery, take shots at Amatitlan, get a cantarito at Cantaritos el Guero, and eat some food at Tequila. Francisco is a great tour guide!!
We had such a wonderful time. The tour was fantastic. Tequila distillery and a few other great stops including the town of Tequila. Our guide Francisco was funny and very informative.
Francisco was fantastic, great job keeping everything moving. He was entertaining and informative. only We were the lone English speaking couple and he did a great job. Highly recommend a salary increase. Driver was also exceptional.
My family enjoyed the tour! It was led by an upbeat tour guide, Francisco, who was organized and taught us plenty about tequila while allowing us to have fun. He also sang for us a bit! It always great to end the day at Gueros
We totally loved it! First time in Jalisco and this was definitely the tour to book to get the full tequila experience. We loved it, the distillery was so cool and the stop in Tequila before the cantaritos was perfect so we could get some food in our system before that. For those that don’t drink a lot I’d say this is perfect, they provide some small sips but not too many to get you all wasted 😌
Francisco made our trip interesting and so much fun. He knows tequila like the back of his hand, and I learned so many things about the process as well as enjoyed his selection of mariachi and Banda music and all of the stops were so much fun, so beautiful, and the tequila was great! Thank you, Francisco for making our day a fun one!
Such a great experience! Francisco was our guide and he was amazing! Was able to translate from Spanish to English seamlessly. We had a great time, drank lots of tequila with and made some new friends!
The tour was just perfect. The tour guide was very knowledgable and spoke perfect English and Spanish and would traduce to both to accommodate everyone in our group.
It was a great experience, combining fun and culture. The other tourists from Mexico in our group also helped create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The true gem of the tour was our guide, Francisco, who made the experience unforgettable with his cultural knowledge, great sense of humor, and entertaining contributions. I also really enjoyed exploring the Tequila Route, discovering its unique places, traditions, and local character.
Francisco was amazing and very accommodating! We had so much fun in and out of the bus. Went to a small town which I hadn’t known and loved that part especially!
We had a lot of fun on Francisco’s tour. We sampled various types of delicious Tequila and learned a lot about the Tequila production process. The tour also had many participatory elements, such as ability to add your own music tracks during van transport. Highly recommended!
I don't think I fully knew what I was getting myself into when I booked this tour, but I would highly recommend. They take you to several spots where you get a variety of tequila tastings. If you're not really a drinker, just be mindful that this a big component to this tour (if you couldn't tell from the name). Our guide was super knowledgeable and provided a very comfortable experience for the whole group. Great activity to do solo, as a couple, or with a group of friends.
Tour girl was shy and quiet. Everything felt rushed. Hot bus with no good AC Great tour of the person is active and present
The tequila tour was an incredible adventure. Francisco, our tour guide, was fantastic, and we had a lively group that made the experience even more enjoyable. Since it was an all-day tour, be prepared to stay hydrated and have a blast. There were breaks between the tour segments where you could explore on your own or catch up with the group. It was an exceptional experience and highly recommended.
Fun tour. Our guide shared a lot of information and made it fun. I would say that it was hard to hear, even though he was talking loudly, because of the other tours and guides who were also talking nearby, and the street noise. It also felt a bit automatic, like he had given this tour a million times. The distillery was awesome, seeing how the agave was cut, cooked, fermented, and I liked being able to chew on a freshly hacked piece of the plant to taste the sweet juices. We stopped at one place for a local cocktail but everyone was starving by then and we had so much downtime there so we all bought lunch at the concessions. But lunchtime was allotted for the next stop at Tequila, which was just free time walking in the square. We had already eaten by then, so just sat on a patio and bought more drinks. Wish that the whole group stayed together to have drinks/lunch together, b/c it seemed like everyone was looking for fun and comraderie, but it was set up so that everyone could separate and do their own thing. So people just dispersed and did their own thing quietly. I noticed a couple of people came alone so they were just by themselves during these down times. The one time the group vibes were great was when the guide set up a tequila drinking contest out of a keg, which was awesome. It was a fun tour, but felt our time could have been used more efficiently by either shortening it, or filling the downtime with some group activities instead of so much separate free time.
Francisco was awesome. He is very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He knows his stuff. Bilingual also. Tour was great. First place was Tres Mujeres Tequila. He will take you around and explain. Next place to a hidden local gem for more tastings and local history. Onto the very famous and popular Cantaritos El Güero. Fun time. And last to tequila to eat and enjoy the town.
The tour was well organized and Francisco was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a great time!
We had an amazing tequila tour! Everything was very well organized, the guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience so much fun. We learned a lot about the tequila-making process, visited beautiful places, and enjoyed excellent tastings. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Guadalajara. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
Francisco was the best tour guide there is, very happy attitude, vibes were always there. We had a blast. You guys should definitely book this trip and hopefully you can get him as your tour guide. 100% recommend!!
This tour was a bit too long. The second location could have been skipped, and we could have stayed at El Güero for an extra two hours instead.
Easy booking, friendly guide, interesting distillery tour, fun stop at El Guero. Our guide, Francisco, is passionate about tequila and drinking overall. He is a good singer too!
A fun experiencing that takes you to Tres Mujeres distillery, the famous ‘El Guerro’, town of Amatitán, and Tequila (A Pueblo Mágico). Every stop is a chance to try tequila with history. Steven was an amazing guide for our Spanish speaking tour.
This was a fantastic full-day trip that gives you more than enough bang for your buck! Francisco was an excellent guide, providing both English- and Spanish- language details about the history of the region and culture. Be prepared to drink a lot of tequila!!!
Overall, a full and mostly fun day. Group pick-up was straightforward because our guide Francisco communicated well on the timing, location, and appearance of the van. I would have appreciated receiving the license plate number as well, due to the large number of similar vans. The van was typical but a bit uncomfortable when completely full and some passengers were "over-sized". The A/C was appropriate but I found the cultural mood music way to loud to enjoy. The longest drive was around one hour, mostly due to routine heavy traffic within the city limits. The windows were all clean and it was easy to take in the great scenery of agave fields and distilleries. The tour of Tre Mujeres Distillery was perfect for observing the process up-close and in a classic setting. Tasting was adequate, without any high-pressure sales. The visit to the small town with it's ancient distillery, now a restaurant, was peaceful, without any crowds. The time in the small cantina and drinking from the barrel was fun. It would have been helpful to know exactly how long the stop would be in order to judge the number of additional drinks you should buy. The stop at Cantaritos Guero was the opportunity to try the classic cocktails and hear the live music. Most of our group of 16 seemed to enjoy it, but is was too loud for me and I prefer to taste the tequilas straight. The 90-minutes in the town of Tequila was barely enough time to take in the sights and grab some food. Most places were packed with tourists on a Saturday. Great for an overview though and to make a decision about any dedicated follow-up visit. The return journey was a bit more lively, with some passengers singing along to the loud music. The restroom break timing was just right. So, a lot for one day but the pace was OKAY and Francisco very informative in both Spanish and English. He did speak a bit rapidly for me but he did a great job keeping everyone where we needed to be and made it all enjoyable. A bit of history, culture, new friends, and of course, tequila. A memorable day.
Great tour, amazing guide, so much fun. Everything was very organized and still felt laid back. The tequila tastings were VERY generous and there were about 7 of them. Would do again!
Very fun tour—I highly recommend it! They should add some small fans to help the van’s AC and make it cooler
It wasn’t the best tour , I done this tour before and it was great. The tour girl seems to be new . The young man who was a part of it didn’t know we were part of his group . Didn’t seem organized nor was it interesting. They cut corners for this tour so disappointing because my friends were first time seeing tequila.
Just book it. One of the worthiest Trips I have ever had. Good drinks, a lot of information and pure fun
10/10 experience. Our tour guide Francisco was truly the best! Would definitely recommend this tour to friends and family.
This was such a fun and informative trip! Francisco is an exceptional tour guide, providing lots of engaging commentary and making sure everyone was engaged and had a great time. Highly recommend.!
A lot of Tequila drinking, some interesting explanations, beautiful sweet towns - all in all a great experience!
Great experience exploring Amatitán and Tequila. The tour was super fun and ride was comfortable. The tour guide was super friendly and knowledgeable.
So much fun and learned a lot. Francisco was a great guide.
Really fun trip! I might have liked to see more of the fields but it was great value for money overall! Loved the distillery and tasting, and our guide Francisco was amazing!
Our guide Francisco was very knowledgeable and energetic. He did a great job explaining for both English and Spanish speaking participants. The sites visited were interesting and enjoyable.
What an amazing experience. Francisco team made it very fun and educational. 10/10 recommend booking with them.
What a wonderful time the three of us had. Our guide, Francisco was great - very helpful, always available to assist, responsive, informative and above all a lot of fun. This is a great trip - you will learn how Tequila is made, you will get to taste some too - the visit to the town of Tequila was great as well. Wonderful food and a beautiful place. Highly recommended.
Great tequila trip! Small group of 8 of us and was a blast! Our tour guide Francisco Zepeda was great full of information, funny, and got us around safely he really made the experience! Enjoyed every aspect and liked the tour so much would book again! Really recommend this tour to anyone looking for the ultimate tequila experience!
One of the biggest highlights of our trip. We’re so grateful to our amazing tour guide for curating a fun, safe, and knowledgeable experience. 10/10 I would recommend to anyone and everyone.
Lots of tequila included in the tasting tour, between those and 2 self-paid cantaritos, we were wiped for the day. Tres Mujeres distillery was very cool, highly recommend.
Francisco was awesome and energized the tour y made it educational! I now know what Agave looks like and how it grows. Liked the energy of the group too. Van ride back was relaxing and air-conditioned.....much-needed after six or more shots of testing Tequila! 🤔 Not to be missed! Linda (Canada)
Amazing full-day tour to Tequila and Matitán! We had such a great time—definitely recommend going with friends. The cantaritos stop was a highlight: traditional drinks, lots of tequila, great music, and stunning views. Loved visiting the agave fields and learning about the tequila process (Tres Hermanos was a standout). The towns we explored were full of charm and character. Special shoutout to our guide Francisco—fun, engaging, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended!
Very well run and professional. (very easy to find the van near the hotel) You get all the time you need really at each location. Very enjoyable day.
Had a great time on this tour. Our guide Francisco was very knowledgeable and theatrical - especially as he spoke in both English and Spanish throughout the day. Lots of great tequila tastings and local information plus some free time in the town of Tequila.
Francisco was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. He was very communicative throughout the whole process. I learned things about tequila that I wasn’t aware throughout the tour.
From the customer service to the tour experience itself, it was all WONDERFUL! The driver Don Gera and our guide Francisco were respectful, friendly, attentive, and very helpful. 10/10
Francisco was amazing!!! The tour was great. Zero complaints. I do recommend grabbing drinks for the ride back. We ran into a little traffic that forced us to sober up a bit. Great times. The stops. The culture. The food. 10/10
Francisco our tour guide was knowledgeable and thorough. We learned about the tequila making process and had several tastings of tequila. My favorite part was visiting the town of tequila. The main square is beautiful and the church is a sight to see. My only suggestion to make it better would be to allow more time in this beautiful town. We only had 90 minutes.
Francisco was a fantastic your guide. Kept everything running smoothly. Lots of great stops along the way. Only negative is I wish we had more time on the actual town of Tequila
