A great way to get to know some of the history and culture of Guadalajara. We also enjoyed the free time at the end of the day to explore Tlaquepaque. Our guide was knowledgeable and thoughtful. Overall great introduction to Guadalajara.

I took this tour solo and it ended up being one of the highlights of my time in Guadalajara. Ramone was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. It never felt like a scripted tour, more like exploring the city with someone who genuinely loves sharing its history and culture. What stood out most was how much I actually learned. Between the historical context, cultural insights, and fun facts along the way, I got more out of this tour than the other three I did combined. Tlaquepaque is absolutely magical—colorful, vibrant, and full of character. This tour is the perfect introduction to Guadalajara, and I’d strongly recommend doing it on your first day to really understand the city, its culture, and its history.
Beautiful place. Felt safe. Tlaquepaque is absolutely amazing! I do not recommend the food at el Parian- it was bad, cold and overpriced! My mother saw the staff remove our leftover food to serve to other guests. Coneplely disgusting! The mariachi was a little bothersome and would not play without play. Go to La Fuente instead- better food and free mariachi on the weekend. Really a beautiful place!
Ramón was an excellent tour guide. We asked questions anything from history, climate, politics, muralist art of Orozco , food and drinks- discovered “ La caserola” tequila drink with soft drink squirt and plenty of natural fruits. It was a warm day but jumping shop to shop and enjoying best food in Casa Luna made for an exciting day trip A fun day enjoyed by all!
I enjoyed the excursion. I was amazed at how El Centro maintained its beauty after all these years. Tlaquepaque is so charming, and we found some fantastic treasures.
A good introduction to Guadalajara. Our guide Orlando was knowledgeable and we enjoyed spending the day with him.
The bilingual guide was extremely informative and patient. The tour hit all the highlights of the city. Tlaquepaque was a key part of the tour - well worth seeing.
Love the hotel pickup. Just make sure downstairs at the scheduled pick-up time and have telephone numbers available in case they miss you in the lobby. It was a wonderful experience. The tour guide and driver was so very friendly and made you feel comfortable. The tour guide was very knowledgeable Impatient. I love the way they stayed with us throughout the tour.
It was a brief tour of the historic Centro area, followed by dropping us off at Tlaquepaque. We didn't see as much of Centro as we would have liked, and didn't learn too much of the history. Too much time was allocated to shopping in Tlaquepeque - we would have liked to go to Tonala also.
The tour guide simply took us to a few spots. Very little narration, very little about the history of Guadalajara.
This is a first class experience with Hernán! The bus was comfortable and we were able to proceed at a leisurely pace.lots of walking but not too much. Really a great introduction to the Centro Historico and lovely Tlaquepaque. Highly recommended!
I really enjoyed this tour! Fernanda was an excellent guide, with a great knowledge of the sites and historical information around the city center. She and Mario were very friendly and helpful and made the day a wonderful experience.
Fantastic tour guide and driver! Professional and knowledgeable! Highly recommend. Great tour bus and promt
Fernanda was a terrific guide who informed while making it fun. I enjoyed all her knowledge and kindness.
Loved seeing new places and things I’ve never seen before or only read about or heard about. Tour guide was awesome!
Thank you Ramón! Tour was exactly as described, on time, fun and informative. Pick up was easy, dropped off on time. Very professional tour guide, and funny too. :)
Sadly, not up to earlier reviews. Guide was not informative about history and had a miscommunication with driver that caused us to wait for an hour on a street corner. Van was lovely and pickup very efficient.
Guadalajara Downtown its Excellent great place you dont have to miss go and take the picture walk to the historic centers take a Calandria outside Teatro Degollado go to the Ripleys museum
Very kind and knowledgeable tour guide and driver. Made sure we knew the history of each stop and gave time to explore and ask questions. Picked a fantastic place for lunch and ensured we had plenty of time to explore and shop. Highly recommend!
We highly recommend this tour to everyone. The driver and the tour guide are very courteous and they offered a free pick up in our hotel and they also dropped us off after. It is our first time in Guadalajara so it offered a great perspective about the historic center.
Wow! This was a Stupendous Tour of all major cultural and historical sites of Guadalajara! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Amazing Experience!
Our guide Ramon was very knowledgeable about history. Both the guide and driver did an excellent job.
What an amazing day with a bunch of such lovely people. Ramon was amazing! He was so full of history of the area and was able to relay it English for me. Our driver needs an absolute medal for his incredible driving skills in the crazy streets of Guadalajara & Tlaquepaque. I was blown away by the quality of the tour. I was definitely moved by the experience of the cathedral and the incredible tongue in cheek artworks of Jose Orosko. The Talepaque Markets were nothing but incredible and so affordable. The Mariachi music was delightful. DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!!
Our guide waa very informative on Mexican history and we learned a lot. We had a great day. Went to a wonderful place for lunch.
A nice paced walk with great insights given by the guide. Very pleasant time with a delicious and relaxing lunch in Tlaquepaque
Great guide and wonderful Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque. I would have skip Tonalá. Love the details of the University of Guadalajara and Centro Histórico. Tlaquepaque is a beautiful town, we went to an excellent restaurant, everybody was pleased.
Ramon was an amazing guide. He pointed out many interesting aspects of Guadalajara in addition to answering questions. His ability to provide a bilingual tour was exceptional. Thank you Ramon.
Our guide was very informative, & showed us the beauty & history of the city. We were unable to visit inside some museums but this was not his fault as it was a holiday. Very enjoyable day overall
This tour was far beyond our expectations! Guide Ali was amazing! Very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. She gave us an excellent recommendation for lunch and the local history and knowledge she shared with us was incredible. Gil our driver was great also! We recommend this tour without hesitation. Ali and Gil that ran this tour do their employer proud.
I’ve spent several weeks in Guadalajara and it was so wonderful to finally take a tour and learn about the history of many of the sites we visited. Our guide, I believe his name was Ramon, was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Highly recommend.
Ramon was very knowledgeable about the history and facts for Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque. It was nice getting an overview of the city as first time visitors. Free time in Tlaquepaque was perfect for having lunch and visiting the shops. Our driver was extremely helpful with assisting my husband with his walker.
Efficient pick up from our hotel - saves all the trouble of trying to find the meeting point when you are new to a city! Ramon was a great guide and we did so much in the 6 hours it really made you feel you had learnt so much but at a good steady pace! Not rushed! Enjoyed all of it but especially Tlaquepaque- what a magical place! Thank you to Ramon and our driver. Maria & Paul
This trip was canceled but the operator did not notify me of this Nothing to ad ….,..,,,,.,,,,,,,,,,,
This was a wonderful, comprehensive tour of Downtown Guadalajara. I highly recommend doing this tour, especially if you only have limited time in the city. The traffic in Guadalajara is incredibly difficult to maneuver, and we felt very safe with our driver, who got us everywhere efficiently. It would be very difficult to try to go to all the sites they take you to on your own. **SPECIAL NOTE** Even though we visited in November, it was hot. There was also a lot of standing directly in the sun. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing sunglass, a hat, and wearing high SPF sunscreen. The sun was very intense and this is coming from someone who lives in the AZ desert. Also, bring a snack and water.
Can was comfortable and your was in English and Spanish. We did cover the main points of interest in downtown Guadalajara. I feel like the information provided by the guide was pretty brief and too concise to give an appreciation for the history or relevance of each site. Didn’t really learn a lot.
They were punctual picking us up from our hotel and the vehicle was very clean and comfortable. Our tour guide, Ramon, had a great personality and was very knowledgeable about the different sites we visited. We enjoyed the views and the tasty treats. We got the opportunity to have lunch at Tlatepaque and shop around.
A day seeing the architectural wonders, learning the incredible history and art of Guadalajara, finishing with a visit to the Tlaquepaque, a magical town or art, crafts and food. With experts driver Gilberto and guide Ramon you will thoroughly enjoy this tour.
Getting to see the Luis Barragan and Orozco Murals was unexpected but a thrill. The guide gave very clear and detailed descriptions of the history of each famous native son of Guadalajara.
Ramon, our tour guide, was wonderful! So much information shared and he answered all of our extra questions!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and he showed us a lot of great places. Plus, the tour van was very comfortable with good ac.
Hernan is a magnificent guide-spoke both Spanish and English and kept my interest the whole time. Really enjoyed the day!!!!!
No one showed up and it became a private tour! My guide Hernan was terrific in providing me with historical and interesting details. I highly recommend him and his group.
We had the most wonderful tour guide for Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque. She was so knowledgeable, articulate and kind. How lucky we are that we took this tour.
Very enjoyable walking experience around the city for a first time visitor like me. The tour guide Luis Gutierrez is a local here and is very knowledgeable about the history and the places in this city. Super friendly and down to earth guy. He is very opened to people from all races and walks of life. Highly recommended.
This was a very organized tour and I highly recommend it. My favorite part was looking at Orozco's paintings. It was also really fun going to Tlaquepaque. It is a good tour to learn bits and pieces of the city without diving too deep into one area.
The tour guide was good, he took the time to explain the history behind the locations we visited. I feel for the price the number of locations to visit need to increase. Overall it was good.
Excellent tour. Was picked up at our hotel at the agreed upon time and taken to the tour company offices. Had to wait a bit at the offices but they have coffee, beverages, etc. for customers. Turns out there was no one else booked on our tour so we had the guide all to ourselves. Our guide was informative & knowledgeable. Since there was no one else on the tour, he adjusted the sites we saw/time spent at each site to fit our desires. First up was a few stand-alone architectural sites—drive by or stop for a quick look. Then on to downtown—walking tour of several sites and the main town square(s). Our tour was on a Saturday and so the area was busy with people and included some street performers. Much to see here and learned a lot about the history of Guadalajara. On to Tlaquepaque. We were given the allotted two hours on our own, along with general overview of the areas to shop and suggestions for lunch. Much more to see here than expected. Quite a large area—multiple blocks long and several wide. Many street performers. Back to our hotel right on time. The tour description perfectly matched the actual tour. Note for potential travelers: If you are really into artisan stuff—painting, pottery sculptures, etc. there is a LOT to see and this tour may not quite have enough time for you in Tlaquepaque---Consider a Tlaquepaque only tour. We could have easily spent a leisurely 4 hours There
Had an awesome time learning history of Guadalajara. Hernand our tour guide was super knowledgeable of all the sites shown. The air conditioned van was a huge plus since it was hot, which was expected. Will definitely come back.
No wonder, Guadalajara is called the cultural capital. We got to see art exhibits, the art museum, we got a lot of info about the cultural history of Guadalajara and the legends that lived the, courtesy our guide Kim, she was extremely friendly and informative. We then visited the little town Tlaquepaque, it was a nice place for picking up souvenirs and soaking in the vibe of the place
We started with Guadalajara town core and we visited some highlights . Historical monument such as La Minerva, the Cathedral and the Museum walking tour. It was great and our guide Ramon English was impeccable with lots of comments and knowledgeable insights. We drove to Tlaquepaque for lunch and visiting on our own. Great day totally worth
