Jose Luis was an excellent tour guide. His English is very good. We had an excellent lunch at his recommended spot. It’s a long day but well worth it

What a great trip! Noriberto was an excellent tour guide (Isaias, the driver, was great too) knowledgeable, efficient, and well organized. Everything was amazing, highly recommended!
Great experience! Our guide Norberto was very knowledgeable. The tour was exactly as described. Highly recommend 🧡🙌
Hector was very professional and very knowledgeable. Great information throughout the tour.our group had a great time. I would definitely recommend the trip to chapala.
It was a full day of learning and seeing such gorgeous places! Our tour guide Norberto was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I didn’t think we’d get much juice out of this tour but I was wrong! So much history, culture, traditions! I loved it. Highly recommend.
Rony was very kind. I fully recommend it. I wished I knew about this trip before. Edgar saved a dog while driving lol. Love the way they work well together . Thank you lot.
Very good tour. Very knowledgeable guide.
Ronny was one of the best tour guides that I've ever experienced in Mexico. It was a fabulous day and he was able to give us a lot of history and background as he grew up in Guadalajara. We even found a really wonderful tequila place that he got them to open before they were open to the public. If you're going to Lake Chapala, I would highly recommend this excellent company and always ask for Ronny!
Hector was an excellent guide. He was friendly and very helpful. He was knowledgeable about the history and significance of every place we visited.
Love this scenic tour in which I got to see the Chapala Lake and two beautiful towns by the lake. Pick up was easy and on time and the entire trip was well paced- not rushed at all! The van was spacious and comfortable while our guide, Ronny, was very knowledgeable. He was not only an informative guide but also an amazing photographer! He helped all of us take lots and lots of gorgeous photos. I had a lot of fun and befriended many wonderful people along my trip!

This is a full day of touring some of the smaller cities and towns around Jalisco. We spent a beautiful afternoon by Lake Chapala, and our guide Norberto gave us excellent recommendations for lunch. Then we headed over for some strolling and shopping in Ajijic. It was supposed to be a group tour but my mom and I were the only ones and we really got a custom experience from Norberto. He was super informative about the history of Lake Chapala, he asked us always what our pace was, which was wonderful since I was traveling with my mom, who is older. It was a wonderful day and I highly recommend this tour if you want to get out of Guadalajara and see a little more of the Jalisco area.
I had such a wonderful day on this private tour of Chapala and Ajijic! From the beginning, communication with my guide, Norberto, was excellent. He was very punctual, professional and friendly, and the car was extremely comfortable, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Norberto was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area and shared so many interesting facts and fun stories along the way. He made the drive there and back fly by, and I learned so much without it ever feeling like a history lesson! I was especially happy to see Vicente Fernández’s ranch from the outside, which was a real treat. I also loved Chapala, particularly the beautiful old train station museum and learning about the fascinating history behind it. Walking along the malecón and enjoying the views of the lake was so relaxing. Ajijic was equally charming. I loved the beautiful murals throughout the town, and the narrow cobblestone streets made it feel so cozy and inviting to walk around and explore. Both towns have their own character and were such a pleasure to experience. The private tour made the whole day feel relaxed and personal, and Norberto really made the experience special with his knowledge, stories and great company. I would definitely recommend this tour!
A great day well spent with Panoramex Tour and Travel. Sergio was fantastic and entertaining. He made the trip very interesting and took great pictures. I have plenty to share my experiences in Chapala and Aijic. Eduardo was also very nice and safe driver. All around a very nice and comfortable excursion.
The tour with guide Jose Luis was lovely, as he is knowledgeable, kind, and extremely courteous. He showed us a most interesting time and kept the day very relaxed. We recommend him and his company highly!
Sergio NOVIA is the best tour guide request him and sit back and enjoy!!!
We had a great day exploring and learning all about the area our tour guide SERGIO made everything easy fun and was happy to share all his knowledge in an interesting way
We went to the towns of Chapala and Ajijic with our tour guide Sergio. The towns were very pretty and clean and the lakeside rather scenic, which gave a little Mediterranean vibe I would say. We had enough time to walk around in both towns, take pictures, eat icecream and buy souvenirs. The town of Ajijic is like something out of the movie "Coco" - the church, the plaza... Our tour guide Sergio told us about the history of the area, showed important places and was very friendly and enthusiastic when doing it, mixing it all with a little humour. At the end of the tour we had lunch in a place called La Iguana de Piedra and then headed back to Guadalajara. All in all it was a nice experience.
Incredible trip. Amazing Tour guide, well knowledge on locations and history of areas we visited. Thank you Ronny Hernandez for making the tour amazing and for your patience. Highly recommend Ronny for your tour guide.
We had a full day sightseeing at roadside attractions (including a large Western store and a small Tequila distillery), Lake Chappala, and Ajijic. Our guide, Jose Luis, was not only informative, but friendly and flexible - e.g., my wife and I were allowed to spend more time walking around Ajijic, rather than eating lunch at an arranged restaurant. Jose also helped us to take good group photos. Overall, it was a nice introduction to the Lake Chapala region. We didn't go out on the lake, but we did get to walk the whole malecon at both towns. The pace of the trip was fine (not too slow or too fast) and the van was pretty comfortable.
We had the great fortune to go on a tour of Lake Chapala and Ajijic. Our guide was Hector “The Protector!” He was an enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. He introduced us to the cultural icon, mariachi singer, Vicente Fernandez. We were able to enjoy his music as we rode to various sights. Hector shared many interesting facts and stories about Lake Chapala and Ajijic. You will thoroughly enjoy any tour with Hector.
The tour is a great way to get outside the big city of Guadalajara and see smaller lakeside towns in Mexico. So fun and so interesting! Plus, Jose Luis was a wonderful tour guide. In addition to being very informative and entertaining, he was super patient and helpful with our questions about Spanish words. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much to Sergio, our guide and Martin, our driver, for a fabulous day! So much history on our tour.. good thing I took notes as we may not be able to remember everything! We had a wonderful experience and everything we saw was enjoyable and inforgettable! Sergio also shared some photos (& extras) and restaurant suggestions for our last few evenings in Guadalajara. Thank you so much for this fantastic experience to visit this beautiful place😍😍
Nice services and price. Good guide. Chapala and Ajiji is the best attractions around Guadalajara. For all visitors
My Panoramex excursion to Chapala and Ajijic was outstanding. The guide, Ronny, was friendly and considerate. His knowledge of local history was encyclopedic! He also capably assisted with photos. Ronny sketched out the history of Chapala, from the indigenous times through the colonization and wars of independence to the present. He showed how a good part of this history is encapsulated by murals inside a small lighthouse at the end of a pier. He pointed out local flora and fauna, including parrots flying freely in trees and the many birds on the lake. In Ajijic, we had a wonderful lunch at a lakeside restaurant and a walk around town and on the boardwalk. Ronny drew attention to old Spanish churches and pointed out unusual architectural details. He also pointed out many interesting murals, accompanied by details about the artists. Associating pictures and murals with sometimes dry historical facts is a great way to make history come alive. I ended the day with a much better understanding of local history and culture.
The tour was quite interesting and enjoyable. Sergio did a great job and took some wonderful pictures of my family, much appreciated. A fun trip!
Excellent guide! Friendly took pictures of us and would do this trip again!
This was a very nice tour. The guide, Norberto, was top notch in every way. Chapala is a beautiful town and Ajijic even more so. The restaurant was not so great, but I’m completely happy that I took this tour.
The tour guide Jose Luis was very professional and a good driver. The tour itself was very relax, the guide would stop at each place, let us off the van and have free time to walk around for about an hour.
Nice drive south of Guadalajara, cool to see the lake and lake shore. Actually a 3 not a 5 star. Stopped at places just ro buy things. Guide and driver wer very nice. The restaurant we were taken to had good food but an unpleasantly loud band, attacked by seagulls while eating and I couldn't wait to leave. The towns had great shops and galleries however.
Hector was a great tour guide with fluent English and a great attitude/energy! Ajijic felt like an authentic town experience! There was entertainment in the local square, and businesses and galleries to explore. There were a variety of things to see, do, and eat. In contrast, Chapala felt a little tourist-trap-esque — many vendors on the boardwalk (tour area) selling the same thing and being kind of pushy. The area was not very big and there wasn't much diversity in what you can see.
Very good value. Very good guide Carmen, who spoke english well and was very friendly. Chapala and Ajijic were beautiful and Carmen was very informative
Great experience! Carmen is the best! I highly recommend this tour and company. Guadalajara is a must in your trips to Mexico
Our trip to Lake Chapala and Ajijic was very enjoyable and fun. Our tour guide, Sergio Novia was very engaging and helpful, and our driver, Miguel, was extremely competent and friendly. Our group consisted of four couples from all over the world and we got along great, making our trip enjoyable and memorable. Our first stop was to the ranch store of Vicente Fernandez, the most famous Mariachis singer and film actor in Mexico. Although the ranch had not yet opened we visited the store and perused is many fine clothes, boots and shoes. Very interesting! The town of Chapala is very pretty and the Malecon is quite scenic and clean. We enjoyed the views and the perfect weather accorded us a pleasant time there. Sergio was very good about informing us about the area and its history and took good care of our group. We also enjoyed los voladores performance of the rope flyers by the waterside. Our next stop was to the Pueblo of Ajijic, which is quaint and full of narrow cobblestone streets. It’s Malecon is an also quite pretty and picturesque. We had lunch at Iguana de Piedra, which sits at the waterside. The accommodations and views are very nice, however, the food is average. Service is good, though. Overall, this tour was a great value and we had a very good time. Great guide and driver, and well organized!
Was a lovely tour with high energy from start to finish! You’re defiantly in safe and fun hands with lots of cool things to see! English is good and our tour group was also lush.
It’s a very relaxing day visiting lake Chapala and Ajijic. The scenery serene, the guide Sergio was knowledgeable and we all had a fantastic day.
Sergio was an exceptional guide and made the trip very interesting and a delightful experience. This trip definitely exceeded our expectations.
Great tour but all itinerary was not completed wish was a disappointment. Didn’t get to see the ranch n do the boat ride.
We had a wonderful time on this excursion. Ronny was a very knowledgeable and generous guide. We learned a lot about the history of the region, Vicente Fernández, and the lake. The lunch was delicious and we enjoyed walking around the lakeside towns. We were headed to the Museo Cabañas the next day and Ronny took the time to tell us about José Clemente Orozco and his work. Highly recommend!
We found it very interesting as well as informative. We learned so many things we didn't know and saw things we wouldn't have known to go see. Carmen was great, and the drivers competent!
Great experience. So much knowledge. Will do a different tour but with the same tour guide. Can’t wait to come back
It was a pleasure learning about Chapala and Ajijic from Sergio. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Great time was had by all.
Look for a black van w the Panoramex logo. Our guide was Sergio, very amiable and informative. Since traffic is pretty bad, the bus trip is approximately 2 hours from Guadalajara to Chapala. You will have about 1.5-2 hrs in Chapala. Then a short time in Ajijic followed by a stop for mid-afternoon food at a lovely restaurant on Lake Chapala. One comment- if you are hard-of-hearing then do not sit past the 4th row in the van since the guide does not use a micrphone. Also, the van has a light but definite cigarette odor. All in all it was a very pleasant way to see some beautiful and tranquil parts of Jalisco.
Hector, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable. The tour was bilingual (spanish and english) which I appreciated, since I'm trying to learn Spanish. A cool side stop was the 3 Portillos store, which is associated with Vicente and Alejandro Fernandez. Ajijic is my favorite of the two towns. The murals make it visually stunning and the history behind the murals is quite interesting (La Russa Sarah).
This experience really exceeded my expectations! Carmen was a wonderful host! She had great interaction with all guests and gave history and great tips to enhance your time in each stop.
Norberto was very knowledgeable and accommodating. It turned out that it was just the two of us on his tour this particular day and we had a great experience. His English is excellent and he is a very kind man. If you are lucky enough to get Norberto as your guide, then you will have a wonderful experience.
This was a fantastic trips to see the Vincente Frenandez estate and store. Plus a stop for a Tequila Tasting befor going to Lake Chapala for a short stop and then on to Ajijic for lunch and a boat tour and then to the malecon. Carmen was a wnderful an delightful toyr guide who went out of wat to accommodate me as the only English speaker out of 13 people.
The trip was lovely, the town of Ajijic was my favourite. Not only was it beautiful tour but what really made the day was how friendly our guide Sergio was, as well as his fantastic photography skills! He took the best photos of me and my husband I've gotten so far this trip!
Sergio went above and beyond. Very knowledgeable guide, very friendly…. Not aggressive about tips…..genuinely loves his work! Highly recommend!
We loved the tour. Our driver, Emmanuel and our tour guide, Norberto were great. Norberto was informative, friendly and fun. One thing that everyone should be aware of is that you are provided transportation to and from but you will be picked up at your hotel or home and brought back to a more convenient central location not your hotel or home. You are offered the choice of a few different drop off points. It worked out great for us because we wanted to go to downtown Guadalajara for dinner and that was a drop off option
