I have staid a few times at this location and 2 times in the mexico city location. Both excelent experiencess. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay as plesent as posible. I recently staid on my birthday and was surprised by a slice of cake and a nice note from the staff wishing me a happy birthday. My fiancé might have had a hand in it but the gesture was nice. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are very quiet so it is easy to sleep. Any small issues that might come up are resolved quickly. The only pet peeve is that I have spent a few grand at these hotels and since I didn't book directly on their website or on the phone with them I still have not qualified for higher membership level. So if you are going to book with them and you want to earn perks book over the phone or on the website. The front desk dose not count ether apparently.

I am staying here for 4 days and it is a nightmare. The staff completely ruined my day since the morning. First, I went to grab breakfast in the lobby, which is included. But they asked me what room I was in 3 times! Once at the entrance, which I understand. But then a server asked me again, and then the same server asked me a 3rd time with a pen and paper. How ridiculous! Breakfast is included, why do they gotta do all that for? Then around 11:00 AM, the cleaning woman knocked on my door. I clearly said, "No, thank you" and she left. An hour later, she knocked again while I was in the shower, so I ignored it. After a while, she knocked again. When I opened the door, she just said, "Oh, sorry" and left. Okay, cool. I got back in bed to chill, but then the room phone rang 4 to 5 times. I am traveling from Canada and do not speak Spanish, so I did not answer. It was very annoying. After a while, the phone stopped, but then someone started knocking on my door AGAIN. I was literally in bed butt naked. I did not answer because I was so fed up and thought they would leave. Instead, they literally unlocked my door and walked right into my room! I had to cover myself with whatever I could find. Then the woman asked in English this time, "Do you want us to clean your room?" OMG, I told her earlier NOOOOO! My whole day is ruined. It is 3:40 PM now and this just happened 5 minutes ago, which is why I am writing this. Who knows what these people will do throughout the night? I am staying here 4 days, so I guess good luck to me anyway. I will never stay here again! Also, the washroom has no amenities like a toothbrush, toothpaste, or lotion. They only provided 2 towels, but even cheap cheap hotels provide 5 or 6 towels. And for your information, this hotel is not cheap!
Horrible experience visiting Guadalajara for the World Cup at this hotel. They should be embarrassed for how they represent Mexico on the world stage. Everyone else in Guadalajara was welcoming. 1) The staff were very difficult when we tried to get our bags after coming back from the game at midnight. They refused our picture of the ticket. We accidentally left the physical copy in the bag and they still refused to let us grab our back and show them the ticket. We had been traveling since 4AM and all we wanted to do was sleep and rest. 2) We mistakenly thought breakfast could be charged automatically to our room, to be paid at the end of our stay (as most modern hotels operate). The staff would not stop calling our room to come down and pay. Of course we would pay after spending $1,000 USD + on our rooms, but we wanted to take some time post breakfast to relax. Then they had the audacity to ask for gratuity. 3) The hotel appeared to do nothing to address protestors outside the hotel who started yelling and making noise starting at 6AM and continuing all day. This is especially offensive considering the Korea National Team was staying at the Westin next door. I would not recommend this hotel as you will find actual good service and hospitality elsewhere.
This place is in a great location and well upkept. Their restaurant had a good breakfast buffet and staff is always willing to help
The service here is terrible. It seems like instead of trying to create a good customer experience, staff are told to try and get as much money from guests as possible. Better to spend a bit more money and stay at the Westin. - They charge a lot of money for drinking water. This is a big issue when tap water isn’t potable. The staff would not even let me fill my bottle up at the gym. - The breakfast is mediocre and very expensive. I was told it was included on the first day then asked to pay a lot at the end. There are good local options within walking distance. - Even in a double room they charge extra for two guests. Staff were trying to get more money from me for having a friend stay a couple of nights. -The room was ok but I found it stuffy and a bit grimy. They need to refresh the bathroom in particular, dirty grout and dusty corners.
