Rented golf carts when our cruise ship stopped in Grand Turks for the day. We were able to see the beauty of the island and visit multiple wonderful beaches. I highly recommend renting golf carts from Paradise Golf Carts while in Grand Turks.

We had a large group traveling with us. We placed our reservations a month in advance and they didn’t have our reservation when we got there. The golf cart was extremely slow and kept back firing.
Great communication and golf cart was ready to go when we got there
James was great communicating on Whatsapp before the trip. Our VRBO host connected us. He met us at the airport, helped take our luggage from the airport and then back when we left, which was a great help. Was on time and reliable. 6 Person cart was no frills but ran well and was great for 2 couples to take chairs and coolers to the beach and explore the island. We had a very good experience with James!
Wally was a nice guy and responded quickly to our calls. I really wish I didn’t have to give him a one star but the cart was old and didn’t look at all like the carts on the website. Our cart struggled to make its way up hills and blew smoke so bad that passers by were yelling our cart is on fire. We decided to make our way back to return it and driving down the road the tire blew. It was completely bald with threads exposed. We were met shortly with a replacement cart that had no brakes and almost hit other vehicles on the road. We were offered no refund or compensation for the faulty equipment. I recommend renting when you arrive as to not be fooled into thinking you are getting quality equipment.
Did not have breaks or gas in our golf cart Was not pleased at all
Definitely rent a golf cart to tour the island. It’s a great way to see the island and spend time at different beaches. We were so happy we chose Paradise Rentals. You do have to walk out of the cruise port and down the street to find them. The cart was clean, ran well and had power. We had a group of four but rented a six seater so we could all face forward.
The website description said the 6-seat cart has seat belts which it did not. The booking form asked if we wanted the cart delivered to the port which we said yes, but we learned upon arrival that this company is not allowed into the port. We had to walk out of the port to pick up the cart. The brakes were poor. The engine would not start unless the gas petal was fully depressed and then the cart would lurch because of the high engine RPM. I own a golf cart and know that the rental was not operating properly. I would not rent from this firm again.
Easy and friendly. Cart worked well and was comparable to others on the island quality wise. Had a fun time driving around the island, seeing donkeys up close, go to the lighthouse and explore the more remote beaches away from the crowds. No complaints.
Paradise Carts was easy to find outside the gates of the main port at Grand Turk. They had a list with my name on it and the cart was ready to go. It was about a 10 to 15 minute walk to get to them from the dock.
I didn't realize when I booked our golf cart through Paradise Carts, that it was located OUTSIDE of the cruise port. The only ones I saw inside were Roscos. This was a bit of a walk and it wasn't well marked. When we found the vendor, the person working wasn't friendly or very helpful. The golf carts for Paradise definitely appear older than a lot of the other vendors as well. I'm not sure what I expected of the island, having only visited the port area before, but I didn't expect it to be so dirty and poorly maintained. Even the beaches on the other side of the island were well kept at all. We took the cart to the light house and the views were fantastic. I also loved seeing the donkeys everywhere. Overall, I'm glad we did this once, but it wasn't what I hoped when I read so many positive reviews.
I’d look elsewhere. Carts were old, creaked and squeaked , backfired and didn’t go any faster than riding a bike. The people were less than friendly.
Horrible experience. We spent $200 and the first cart made it across the island and then broke down. We received a replacement cart and that was just as bad. The brakes didn't work and we almost went through an intersection and then the cart barely picked up speed to return to port. We only spent 2 hours on the island. Carts are not maintained. Should be able to give less than one star.
We rented this golf cart prior to leaving for our cruise. This golf cart is older and didn't run as fast as the other golf cart another family rented. They had to pull over and wait on us several times.
Very nice owner, he brought the cart to us and gave us a great rate for the day. Cart ran perfectly. We did not do a tour just needed a good quality cart for five people to drive around Island for a day.
I don’t NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! The website is very very misleading! You do not pick your cart up at the port it’s about a mile walk to reach the destination! And then the crap show starts the carts are old and beat up gasoline burner that are on empty when you pick it up and they would like for you to put a gallon of gas back in it! I waited 30 minutes for them to do paperwork and put air in the tires! Rent the carts from Carnival!
I got off a Carnival Cruise ship on Sept 17, 2024 at 10am and picked up the reserved cart from Paradise Carts. I paid the extra chard for 4 adults to have a 6 person cart so we would have plenty of space and power when booking at a price of $278.48. At Check in, just outside the gates of the Port, the worker was kind of a jerk. I mentioned to him at that time I wanted a faster golf cart due to experiences in other locations and islands. He kind of blew me off and then gave my husband a phone number in case we had any issues. We got in the cart and made our way to the light house (making 1 stop on the way for a soda and took a side road to see the water). The cart got slower and slower as we drove. We got to the light house and stayed about 20 mins then headed back down the same road to check out other parts of the island and broke down. The phone number given would not work or I wasn't given info on how to make a call on the island. Thankfully a passing tourist/Carnival guest that I had spoke to at a previous stop was kind enough to stop and took my husband back to Paradise Carts to get us a new cart. We waited about an hour on the side of the road. The smaller 4 person cart was much faster and better than the more expensive cart I paid for. On returning to the Paradise carts and asking the same guy from check in for a refund for the difference between the 6 person cart and the 4 person cart he gave me a smart ass responses like "BUT did the second cart work" and I couldn't believe it. He only wanted to take me serious when I said ok let me take your picture for the reviews. I am not someone who usually makes negative reviews but his attitude was so dismissive. I have reached out to info@turksandcaicosgolfcarts.com and turksandcaicosgolfcarts.com asking for my refund and No response. The price difference might be $75 but it is the principle. I work hard for my money and should get what i paid for. I am not asking for a free use of the golf cart. But NO RESPONSE! So beware of this company. PS To top if off the guy who was nice enough to take my husband back to get us a replacement cart said he had the same issue with Paradise Carts in the past and would not use them again. He has been to the island several times. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like more info. On a positive note, buy the carrots at the light house for the donkeys. It was the best part of the trip and I feed them as we sat on the side of the road.
Exactly as described and had a great time. The cart pick-up area is just outside the gates of the cruise terminal, so I really appreciated the email received a week or so in advance that detailed exactly where to go. Gas cart, came fueled up, clean, and ready to roll, no issues during the drive. It's a great place to explore and many beaches, shops, and spots to check out. Felt surprisingly safe to operate a low speed vehicle here - other vehicles generally passed safely and other than the occasional pedestrian, bicycle, or donkey :) not too busy.
My family and I rented a 6-seater golf cart from this outfit for an excursion as part of our cruise stop on Grand Turk. The first turn-off was how far of a walk it was from the cruise port to the pickup point and the glaring lack of signage to get there. My mother has limited mobility, and we were not permitted to drive the cart back into the port to pick her up. The second disappointment came with the interaction with the staff. We finally found the roadside sign for the company with several men just standing around looking at us suspiciously. After asking several of them if they were who we needed to talk to, we finally found one who said yes. He pulled out a piece of paper and asked my name, and that was literally the only conversation we had with him. He handed me a form, I completed what I thought needed to be completed, and handed it back to him. He gave me a copy and gestured toward a cart. No explanation as to how to operate it, no suggestions for places to go or things to see, no explanation of how to access the gas tank, no offer to see how much gas was already in it - NOTHING. It was one of the most unprofessional and rude interactions I have had with a business to whom I was giving my money that I've ever had. The cart itself was a piece of crap. Every time we wanted to start moving, I had to hold the gas pedal down for about 10 seconds before the engine finally started. Since we were driving on regular roads and had to time our entry onto roads with existing traffic, this was incredibly dangerous. The brakes were virtually non-existent. If my cart was any example, their carts are very poorly maintained and not at all safe. We only had the cart for a couple of hours, most of the time spent stopped at beaches and beach bars. Yet, when we went to refill the tank before returning it, we found that the tank was nearly empty, meaning that it didn't have much gas in it when we picked it up. Given that they charge about twice what it costs to rent most cars plus the fact that we had to fill it up with gas, we felt scammed. If you're considering renting a cart as part of a cruise excursion, definitely go with someone else. There are several other rental outfits in the cruise port itself whose staff are much more friendly and helpful, and their carts are much nicer.
After booking with Paradise online (their website was actually pretty user-friendly), I was emailed a QR code that was to make the check-in process quicker. Once we arrived, no one ever looked at it and we had to completely fill out paperwork again. The rental location was quite a ways away from the port, and there were many other venders that we walked by getting to Paradise. Once we finally found them, we went from person to person trying to get a cart released to us. The cart we finally got (unit 06) was old, was very difficult to get started, and had almost zero braking. In retrospect we should have returned it and demanded a replacement. We were given virtually no instructions on where to go and how to get there, and the "agents" were impossible to understand. We were charged for not getting gas, although no one told use we needed to. In our view, when you rent a cart it should be full of gas and we should not have to worry about it, or be charged extra. Should be covered in the cost of rental. I would not rent from these folks again.
I would say my experience was mediocre. When we arrived to pick up our cart the attendant’s handwritten list showed we had reserved a 4 seater cart instead of the 6 seater I had paid for. Even though I had the receipt with me it took about 15 minutes for him to work through the confusion before we could leave. Simple misunderstanding, but added to the fact that the cart was a bit run down would have me renting from another vendor in the future, there were many to choose from with newer, more modern carts.
It took way took long to be given the golf cart after we had to walk off port property without being told anything. The website leads you to believe you pick it up outside the port building. Too misleading. Once we got the cart we had a good time.
Nice group activity at our own pace. Fun time!! Had 3 of the 6 seaters and saw a lot of the island Gas engines so don’t worry about running out of electricity
Highlight of our trip! We had so much fun! The carts ran great & it was super affordable. We loved being able to go on our own without a guide. We were able to go all over the island & experienced everything! Had the best tacos of our lives, saw a million wild donkeys lol & even saw a whale breach the water! Hands down best excursion on our cruise. Rented it through Viator. I am an agent & have also had several clients who have booked a cart. Everyone has loved it!
5 out of 5. The 6 passenger cart was perfect. It was in great shape and was perfect for 6 adults to cruise around in. They delivered to our rental house and picked it up. They guys were very friendly and the transaction was very easy. Booked online was easy. Had it for 2 days and easily decided to get again later in our stay for another “drive about”. LOL A golf cart is the perfect way to get around Grand Turk. Fresh air and very comfortable. Also 2 days was only $10 worth of gas. Definitely would recommend to get a machine from this company!
We had a great time driving around town and finding all the things! The lighthouse is a must see but bring cash. They don’t take cards, but it’s only a $2-3 entry fee. The map isn’t great but you’ll figure it out if you have gps. Pickup is outside the port so walk thru the parking lot and gate on a foot path. Feels dodgy but it’s legit. Everyone is so nice.
We rented 2 golf carts. Our friends had no issues at all. The one we had went 15mph max causing us to hold up others and not able to keep up with others. We stopped one time and it would not start. After fooling with it for awhile we finally got it to start in reverse to get us going again.
The company viator put us with, rented sub par equipment. While driving we had mechanical problems. The company did nothing to offer help. I believe it was cart paradise. The golf cart literally had zero brakes. Luckily the island is flat. A golf cart is the way to go to see the island. Lots of places to stop and get in the water where it is not crowded. The water is beautiful all around the island.
We had such a great time on Grand Turk discovering the island in a golf cart. My husband, four teen daughters, and I loved the idea of riding around the island in a golf cart, and the experience did not disappoint! We had a cruise stop at Grand Turk, and the golf carts were very easy to find coming off the ship. People along the way were very friendly and helpful to point us in the right direction. Once we found the carts, Wally was super helpful giving us a map and showing us where to go. We hung out at a nice quiet beach and then had lunch at an awesome restaurant overlooking the ocean called The SandBar. I highly recommend reserving a cart ahead of time as most were gone by the time we got to ours.
Rental pick up was outside of the port terminal as stated however the walk is about 10-15 minutes. Golf cart worked fine except brakes didn’t work great. It was fun exploring and we went to the beach
Pickup was right outside the port gate. Fun and easy way to travel the island. Family of 5 enjoyed site seeing at our own pace.
Easy pickup right outside of the port.. easy to use and we saw the entire 7 miles stretch with plenty of time
I booked this four months before our cruise port day. The payment was set to come out of my account on the Friday (11/17) before my Monday (11/20) reservation. I received a call from the vendor on that Friday 11/17 stating that they didn't know if they would be operating on Monday because of a storm coming through. I pushed back and noted that the storm would be well into the Atlantic by Saturday evening and both Sunday and Monday weather forecasts were sunny all day. (I was keeping very up to date on the progress of that storm since we were cruising in the area). She still insisted that she had to cancel because she didn't know if they would be operating. I had a hunch that they had probably oversold and were cancelling their 3rd party reservations in favor of direct reservations. Sure enough, when we arrived in port on that Monday (to a completely sunny, dry day) all of the golf carts had been sold out prior to that day. We were left without any transportation even though I secured it FOUR MONTHS prior to the day. I wouldn't trust booking with this vendor. Find someone else if you want to make sure to actually have what you reserve without being undersold.
This was such a handy and convenient fun way to get the 6 of us around. The staff was very kind and courteous. We are very happy!
Almost getting hit because we he ad next to nothing for brakes!! But enjoyed the wild horse and donkeys , lite house was enjoyable
Our cart seemed a little slower than others in 6 seaters, but overall worked out great and was very easy process.
James of Paradise Carts helped make our trip to Grand Turk the best family vacation we’ve ever had. James was highly communicative and worked with our holiday schedule to ensure that our large family had the cart whenever we needed it. He checked in every day to see if we needed anything, gave us pointers around the best places to check out on the island, and answered every question we had within minutes of asking. We loved our two week stay on Grand Turk and James at Paradise Carts was a big reason for that. Thank you again James for a wonderful trip and we’ll see you again soon!
Great fun touring island. Go to Jack's shack for beautiful beach, good food, and friendly people. Also find the museum in old Town run by Valerie,
Don't use this company. They are located outside the guard shack at the cruise center. Their carts are parked on the side of the road. They are not licensed to enter the cruise port area. Our party of 4 had two people with limited mobility and had to walk about 1/3 of a mile to reach the cart rental area. Also, the carts are governed to not exceed 14 miles per hour. Frustratingly slow. Even one of the Grand Turk police officers that we met at Jack's Shack said it frustrates her that they are so slow. They are a hindrance to traffic.
Had to walk in the heat to find location of cart rental outside gate. Due to lack of proper documents go cart company wasn't allowed in gated area with other go cart vendors. The cart was very slow. All of the traffic went around us. We took the cart back early as there wasn't much to see on Grand Turk. I wouldn't recommend.
We rented with Paradise Carts! Walked off the ship past the port gate. Up a short walkway to an area filled with carts. Up to our rental company. They guy gave us a quick overview sign our papers and off we went. The car was perfect all though we ended up with only the four of us. The island was beautiful and easy to navigate. We made a dumb mistake going onto the beach like we saw others do. Then we got stuck in the sand. Called the company and two amazing guys helped get us out. Then took us to get air in the tire. While waiting our daughter left her card at the beach. Unbelievable right! The guy offered to drive back because the carts are slower. My husband and the nice gentleman found her card met back with us. So appreciative to this company taking care of their customers. We could have missed our ship.
It was fun exploring the island on our own. The golfcart was great and it was an easy process. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because it wasn't clear where we had to pick up the golf cart. We had to ask around a whole lot before finding out this particular company stood all the way outside the gates.
The cart was in good shape and very clean and we enjoyed driving around the island and out to the lighthouse. The pickup point is outside the guard shack about 100 yds away from the shopping area so plan on a little walk to pick up your cart.
Terrine. Do not use this company. I made a reservation, paid in full and got my confirmation. When we got to pier, they had cancelled my reservation the day before, when I had no service to get notification or to try to get something else. They were No help. Wally seemed to care less. Do not use them. We were not the only ones cancelled. Try to get 2 4 seaters instead they did not have that either. Really bad
It was a scam. They charged my account and then said they canceled my reservations and I was issued a refund. I showed them I was charged and not refunded. Had to get cops involved. Wasted a hour and a half
We had fun riding around the islands with friends it was a nice expérience once we knew we had to go oass the gate to retreive the cart
Booked through Viator and it was a great day on the golf cart from Paradise Carts, Wally was waiting outside of the cruise port with our cart when we arrived.
We booked a 6 seater golf cart online through Viatours. We walked outside of the port gates and Wally was waiting with all the carts. He was fast, friendly and the cart worked great. It was a great way to explore the whole island. We stopped for lunch at The Sandbar *****! And sat on the beach and snorkel behind the restaurant too! Beautiful beach and waters. Very easy to drive the island, just remember it’s a British island so you drive on the left side of the road.
We rented a 6-seater golf cart from James. He met us at the airport on arrival, explained the operation of the cart, and then escorted us to our accommodation. We dropped the cart back at the airport a week later, where James was also waiting for us. Great service! Golf cart is the way to go on Grand Turk; best way to experience the island; kids really enjoyed it. Thanks James!
Great way to see the Islands on your own! Xavier was Really Helpful with what to see and getting around!! Thanks 😊👍
