Turtle Center, Starfish, Stingray, & Snorkeling(4-stop Adventure)

We had a great day. We started off in the boat and did some snorkelling and saw lots of fish and coral reefs, then the stingrays which was so amazing, and then stopped to check at the starfish. Wania then picked us up and took us to the turtle center it was so cool. You get to snorkel and go at your own pace to see the turtles, there was quite a few. On the way back to our cruise ship, Wania also took us to Hell to check out the views and get some pictures. We had an amazing time, would definitely do this excursion again.

Extremely heart breaking to see the turtles in this environment

Absolutely a fantastic time. We were on the boat called “Angel”. The captain and crew were top notch and extremely knowledgable. Had a fantastic time and cannot recommend this enough. There were two cruise ships in at the time and they sent a private car to pick us up to ensure we made it on time. Above and beyond service and cannot thank them enough. Well worth the money. Best tour on the island.

Great day out on the water. Captain and mates were so accommodating. Really put together. Enjoyed every part! Even the bus driver was lovely!

Had to wait a long time for the boat to even leave. We were left in the sun just waiting no updates nothing just sitting there wondering when do we leave when other boats around loaded up welll after us and left before us. Staff was ok Diana was helpful and friendly and answered all questions. There needs to be more order espically when the boat was unloaded everyone was standing around wondering. As the women checking everyone in was yelling with no order. Stingrays and starfish point were amazing. Very cool exeperiene and a must due!

Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen. Leave your phone at the hotel. They took pics of the stingrays for us. I am 68 and was able to enjoy everything-Angel and his crew took great care of all passengers.

Simply great! As someone that travels alot and does a lot of exercursions this was definitely top 3 ever for me and my son. And best part was no crowds and no lines.

We did the Rowan Watersports – Turtle Center, Starfish, Stingray & Snorkeling Tour, and it was absolutely fantastic. This is a tour we would highly recommend. The captain and crew were wonderful—professional, friendly, and clearly experienced. We felt very safe around the stingrays, and everything was well organized from start to finish. The Turtle Center was the highlight of the tour for us. Unfortunately, our time there felt a bit short—we arrived around 1:30 pm and had to leave by 2:45 pm to meet the shuttle. That said, it made such an impression that we already know we’ll be back to explore it again on our own. The snorkeling and starfish portions were enjoyable, though the tour did feel a bit crowded at times. Fewer people per group would make an already great experience even better. A special shoutout to the bus drivers, who were fantastic. One driver in particular even stopped briefly in Hell so we could grab postcards and take photos—she was awesome. We also really appreciated how conscious the team was of timing and ensuring we returned to the cruise ship on schedule. That peace of mind is huge and very much appreciated. Overall, this was a well-run, thoughtful tour with great people and memorable stops. We’d absolutely do it again.

We had an amazing time. The water can get rough during the snorkeling and stingrays, but that’s just something to be aware of. The starfish and turtle center are wonderful.

I loved the great customer service and willingness to go above and beyond to accommodate my group. We were late and the company made sure that we were able to still participate in all of our planned excursions. I would use them again.

Jake and Alex on the boat were excellent. Plenty of time for all activities. We weren’t very impressed with the turtle center. The size of the turtles is impressive but they’re just swimming around in tanks. We had time to go across the street to a dolphin encounter. Only $2 admission and we really enjoyed it. It was a lot better than the turtles.

I had an amazing time on the snorkeling tour with the stingrays and turtles! The experience was unforgettable, and the staff made it even better—they were fun, engaging, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and entertained the whole time. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable adventure!

Very educational....you can swim with some of the turtles in a designated area...very safe , kids will love the experience.....not too much walking for the older folks , can be hot so hydrate...You also can buy turtle food these gentloe giants are incredible!

This is a great experience if you want to do many of the top rated excursions in one day! Our tour guide Wania was amazing! She cater to our every wish. I highly recommend this tour (and don't forget to ask for Wania)!!

<p>We really enjoyed this trip. Gerardo is very knowledgeable and kind. We did a city tour and we then went to tequila and chocolate factories which were quite informative. We tailored it to a trip having a small child 3yr old toddler as well as my dad 74 years old. Gerardo was able to find stops that all of us liked and enjoyed. Gracias!</p>

<p>Awful<br/> Our tour did returned us to our cruise ship so late we had 1 minute to run to catch it before departure. Everyone was highly stressed by this. Perhaps other reviewers were lucky because few cruise ships are in harbor. Our bus to the boat was over capacity and had to be supplemented with another van, which, along with starting late, took 30 minutes from scheduled start time. Our tour included the interesting stop at the Turtle Farm those choosing to skip this presumably got the ship at a reasonable time.<br/> The boat used to reach Sting ray city was over capacity with guests and did not have snorkeling gear for everyone on the second stop. It left the dock short of crew went back so a guy coming late could jump aboard.<br/> Sting ray city was very busy and the captain chose to anchor on the up wind side. This meant that while others were in knee-deep water, we were within waves breaking up to six feet high So much for being told never to jump in the water.</p>

<p>This tour was awful. First, the tour provider overbooked and did not have enough room in the van for all of us. After waiting in the blazing hot parking lot, we were led to another van-already half full- and piled in. At Stingray City we were parked in chest high water and when the waves came they would break over our heads and push us away from the group. It was almost impossible to have any interaction with the stingrays given the high water and constant waves. We were unable to feed them and are pictures were terrible. At the Turtle Farm our guide gave us no back ground information and never indicated how much time we had to visit. Finally, we very nearly missed our tender back to the ship. We advised out driver/guide of our departure time before and during the excursion but we only made the tender with four minutes to spare. Having been to both Stingray City and the Turtle Farm previously with other tour companies I can honestly say this was the worst excursion we have experienced.</p>

<p>Tour was very unorganized. It appears that Rowan Tours - the tour supplier- is merely the middle man and has no involvement other than picking you up from location and bringing you to the first bus driver. The bus drivers, the boat crew and the turtle farm do not work for Rowan and don't have the ability to contact them or address issues.</p> <p>The primary issue we had on this tour was that despite being billed as Perfect for all ages and skill level, the crew anchored in water too deep for either of my girls to be able to stand. My 6-year-old valiantly attempted to tread water, fight-off the waves, and check-out the rays for as long as possible, but it was too much for her and she returned to ship after 10 minutes. My little one was not able to stand or wear a life vest without getting mouthfuls of water they only had adult standard issue orange vests, designed to turn you onto your back, so she was back on the boat even quicker. </p> <p>The boat then left Sting Ray City and went to a snorkeling location by the reef for 45 minutes. That would have been a fun surprise for my wife and I, but we specifically chose a tour that DIDN'T have snorkeling as we knew my 4 year-old wouldn't be able to participate. I don't know if Rowan put us on the wrong tour or if the ship captain unilaterally decided to cut the sting rays short, but this turned into more time just sitting on the boat watching adults do something else the kiddos couldn't do.</p> <p>The good news? My kids loved the turtle farm. It surpassed our expectations - very cool.</p> <p>My advice: do not book this tour if you have little ones, or if you are particular about exactly what your tour will consist of.</p>

<p>My favorite part of all my excursions was stingray city. It was so much fun! The guys from the boat were great at explaining about sting rays and helping us feed them, etc. The stingrays were awesome! Highly recommend them. And the turtle farm was great too. You got to hold the turtles but honestly there's a part of me that doesn't like that because I have a feeling they don't want to be held, ya know? But it was very educational and there are some huge turtles there. Get some food to feed the turtles too! Hint: the birds, chickens and roosters like the food too!</p>

<p>Absolutely horrible. We never made it to the Turtle Farm because no one was there when they brought us back, and no one would take us. The weather made everyone else cancel their Sting Ray tours, but ours was not. At first, I thought we were lucky, but when you can't stand in the water because it blows you over, it isn't much luck. Half of the passengers on this tour were not given what they were promised and it was only fixed by us calling the owner who ended up sending out a boat to get the angry ones so we would not miss our cruise time. We were lied to, deceived, and I also don't feel safety was considered.</p>

<p>The turtles! The Stingrays! Robert! The boat crew! It was a 5 star experience from beginning to end. Our group included three adults and a five year old and a three year old. Everyone was completely entertained. I recommend this trip to everyone!</p>

<p>We had an excellent time at both venues. Would do again. Wania was very friendly and was great with our kids Age 8 and 3.</p>

<p>The Sting Ray trip was Great until the boat broke down and we had to be towed in, I guess things like this happen sometime The Turtle Farm was a disappointment not very clean.</p>

<p>Was a great time. I got to pick up some of the smaller turtles. The larger turtles were very cool to see in in their large pools. My family truly enjoyed our time at the turtle farm. <br/> The Sting ray excursion was one of the best times of my life. I had no idea in the middle of the ocean you could stand on sand reef and touch and hold a stingray. The boat crew was fabulous very accommodating and professional. My family enjoyed the experience and we still talk about it today.</p>

<p>Debarking was difficult and unorganized...however when we reached the destinations on our excursions we were completely satisfied. It was a beautiful environment and the crew that took care of us was amazing . Pictures were great and not over priced. I would recommend this excursion for any family....AMAZING!!</p>

<p>Due to inclement weather, we were over an hour late getting to our meet-up location. They waited for us and still managed to get us to everything we were scheduled to complete. The water for Stingray City was incredible and my daughter loved being able to pick-up the smaller turtles. A great day.</p>

<p>A great trip. The day we went we had a down pour. Although we got behind the group made sure everyone got their money's worth. My only recommendation is that they could properly fit the snorkel mask and fins and give a brief class on do's and don'ts. I would definitely go with this group again. Two thumbs up</p>

<p>Perfect family day trip. My six year old son loved it. We had a great staff on the boat that made the trip comfortable and safe.</p>

<p>This tour with Rowan Water Sports was so much fun!! We went to sting ray city and the turtle farm and the crew was very nice and helpful! We have a 20 month old baby girl and they were very nice and helpful with her. It was beautiful and amazing!</p>
