Rowan Water Sports, Wania, Jake, & Jordan were AMAZING! We were met at the port, driven in an air conditioned van to the dock, and then given refreshments and great instructions on the cleanest boat ever. Our first stop was the beautiful reef where we snorkeled above some of the most vibrant coral and fish in the Caribbean. Our second stop was the sting ray experience where we were given not only great hands-on interactions with the rays but an enjoyable educational interaction as well. Jake has clearly been doing this for decades and was as good with the rays as he is with people. Our last stop was at the point, where we viewed the many colorful starfish. Their beauty in person was striking and again Jake's knowledge and his passion for educating us and giving us a great experience while also protecting them was commendable. He and his son Jordan made the day 100 times better with their smiles, humor, knowledge, and passion for their craft. When we returned to the dock, Wania was there waiting for us and drove us back to the port. They are all true professionals and we will definitely do this with them again!
Stingray City is a MUST see, once in a lifetime experience that you have to do when visiting the Caymans. Well worth the money and I'd do it over all again!

Don’t plan if you are on a cruise! Person called morning of, while cruise still at sea and said to get off the boat early. We had booked tender with set time so not possible to change. I called and said the tender was having problems and was delayed. I texted again as tender was pulling up to dock and said we were there. Tour started at 12:00 and they left us at 12:05 while we were walking off tender. Not prepared for cruise ship passengers!

The snorkeling stops were good but the guys made it even better. I've snorkeled with rays before but these boat guys made it special. Couples with kids were included so that they enjoyed this special day.
This was an excellent tour and the staff was top notch. Captain and crew were very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience unforgettable. The stingrays were amazing. This was a last minute booking and my friend and I loved it! You get to see so many fish when snorkeling and even sea turtles!! It was cold to be so close to them! We enjoyed the stingrays and starfish as well! Would highly recommend!!
Great experience!!!!!! Jake and his partner Alex were amazing! They explained everything we needed to know before getting in the water. He grabbed a stingray and showed us how to feed it and how to hold it. Even took amazing pictures of all our family. If your doing a stingray excursion hands down best guy in the Cayman Islands!!!!!!

BOOK THIS TOUR-Absolutely worth it, even with small kids! Our cruise ship/tender was late arriving and we missed the check in at Rowan tours table. Rowan tours sent us a message that someone would be waiting specifically for us from another table/group. They didn’t have to do that, but they went out of the way for us to make sure we were taken care of! Top notch customer service! A short bus ride to the marina, a very nice boat/crew, a snorkel excursion, stingray city and starfish beach! We loved it all! Ice cold water was provided as were life vests and snorkel gear. Very impressed with this family owned business and all the crew. Also, please tip the boat crew if you can afford to do so. We thought the excursion was very reasonably priced compared to a lot of the excursions you could choose from the cruise line and was disappointed to see not many folks tipping the boat crew. We already want to go back, and will be sure to book again with Rowan if we do!
Great fun for the entire family. Captain Jake, Josh and Diyana were great the whole trip. Would definitely recommend for those who can swim. I would recommend for all those who have simmers around age 6 and above. Snorkeling was around 25-30 minutes, string rays time was around 20-25 minutes and starfish area was around 10-15 minutes. Group size was around 40 and it did not feel crowded. Plan for a little extra time for transportation to and from dock.
This is a family owned company that gives you a safe, fair priced, great experience! They provide punctual hotel pick up and return. As an aside, we recommend Nicole Taxi Service if you wish to book a Viator experience that does not include the shuttle. We were ripped off by a different cab driver. She was honest, fair priced snd punctual.
The crew was absolutely great, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, the sting rays are marvelous, the star fishes incredible. Absolutely recommend.
Great experience! Would do again! Wania was phenomenal and the boat crew were great too. Very informative and kept us on track. We were able to see all kinds of fish and stingrays at the reef, held and fed a stingray at the sandbar and held several starfish at the last stop. Would definitely recommend!

This was a great day! Everything was taken care of and the guides (Jay and Alex) were knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw a sea turtle, hugged and held stingrays, saw some great fish and coral while snorkeling, and got to hold starfish! Definitely worth the price! Highly recommend!

This was a geat experience during the trip. All the staff that we interacted with was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at ease. I also liked that you don’t need to wear water shoes. You are asked to take off your footwear upon boarding the boat which I think helps keep the boat clean. They had cold water and sodas for us. The group did not feel too large. It still felt like a personalized experience. I was worried at first because I booked last minute the night before and the booking confirmation said you should contact them 24hrs in advance to confirm hotel pickup. so I emailed them and they were quick to respond to my question and confirm us.
They picked us up at hotel. It started 9 and ended 12. It was perfect excursion to do. Stingrays are beautiful. We saw a large turtle. Tons of fish and stingray for snorkeling. I recommend to do this 9am one instead of 12 pm so that you can still do something in afternoon.
This was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone going to the Grand Cayman. We did this as a shore excursion and they were very accommodating to cruise ship travelers. The staff was friendly, attentive and careful for our safety. We snorkeled first, then visited stingray city and then starfish beach. The one comment I would say about the entire experience is to just charge a little extra for the tour and include the photos. They are digital downloads anyway. It's kind of a rip off to have to purchase one picture for $25 or a whole package for $125. If you're a family of 12, then the package is worth it, but we were just a family of 4. Seemed a little excessive. Other than that, they took care to make sure everyone had a good experience at Stingray City which, obviously, is a highlight.
Our ship changed its departure time which was incompatible with our reservation. My attempts to communicate were difficult due to lack of communication ability. But we showed up early, explained our situation and was taken out for the same tour with a different provider. It was great the vendors work together to make sure everyone taken care of.

This was one of the most amazing and interesting things I have ever done. I travelled solo and not once did I feel alone. The tour operators are so warm and friendly and welcoming( special shout out to Josh). I had an amazing time. Do not hesitate to book. You will not be disappointed( take it from a lady who is very hard to please)
There was only two sting rays for over 200 people. And a few starfish on the beach bottom. The crew themselves were friendly and professional. However, I felt “stingray city” should have more than 2 stingrays that were held on to for pictures for hundreds of people. I saw more starfish in Cozumel “el cielo”. The snorkeling was worth it. We saw a lot of different types of fish.
I can’t say enough about the level of communication between us and the operator. It was quick and responsive. Unfortunately all excursions that day to that side of Grand Cayman were cancelled due to weather. The operator was quick to inform us in order to make last minute changes and the refund was prompt. If I go back I will definitely go back to him.

The places they took us to snorkel were packed with a variety of fish and stingrays! The starfish experience was also amazing! All in all we felt very safe in their care and we would highly recommend them to anyone considering an excursion!
