Private Half Day Stingray City, Snorkeling And Starfish Beach Tour

Expect a great day. Our Captain and Guide Giovonne was so amazing. He was so laid back and entertaining. The experience we had swimming with the stingrays was incredible. Learned a few things about stingrays we didn't know such as their lifespan of up to 22 years and the females are larger than the males. But I will say that I am a diver but the snorkeling off the reef was off the chain amazing. SOOO many species of fish and you cant forget Stuart the Turtle visiting the boat and swimming alongside you. Starfish Point did not disappoint either. I was unaware that there were over 156 types of Starfish. When I return again to the Caymans this will be on my list once again to experience.

First of all, we loved Luke and he took great care of us! Appreciated being able to plug into the Bluetooth. This excursion has been the highlight of our trip to Grand Cayman so far. Highly recommend!

Our family had an incredible time! Javahn was a wonderful guide and made the day truly magical! This was our first time booking through Viator and I’m so glad I did - this was the highlight of our whole cruise! We were able to take our time at each spot and Javahn ensured our kids all felt safe and comfortable around the animals - he’s a true stingray whisperer! He also knew we were wanting to find sea turtles and knew just where to go! We ended up snorkeling with them and right over a little lemon shark! He also arranged our taxi back to the ship as we headed back to the dock - perfect timing! Amazing experience! Thanks again!!

We had a blast with Justin on our half day private charter. He was knowledgable, friendly, relaxed, and made sure we had a great time. He was also quite patient with our very excited and eager children. The locations we visited were rife with ocean life and we were wowed by the experience. Stingray City is definitely touristy, but despite our general allergy to all things touristy, this experience was truly unique and extraordinary. It was not crowded, but definitely busy with about 5-6 other boats there while we were visiting, yet it was still impactful and comfortable, not to mention safe. Similarly, snorkeling the reef was a beautiful and calm experience. The boat, equipment, personnel were all top notch. Would highly recommend.

Definitely worth it! Stingray city is awesome, the snorkeling is a lot of fun and starfish beach is pretty cool. Saw some more stingrays, a turtle, barracuda and plenty of other fish on the snorkel portion. Captain javahn was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun! Boat is clean and roomy even with a party of 9.

The communication about pick up was less than I am use to. Overall the experience was a little disappointing. Paid $800 and we went followed the red sail charter everywhere we went. The whole point was to have a private experience. When we got to string ray city, and I was underwhelmed. I asked the captain- is there anywhere else we can snorkel? The answer was no so we told him, just take us back early. Don’t waste your money. You won’t get the private experience you are hoping for.

One of the best days on our wonderful Disney Cruise. A boat with just our family actually cost about the same price as a huge group tour. The personalized information was perfect for our 4 and 7 year old grandchildren. Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible experience! The boat excursion was fantastic. The captain was friendly, knowledge, and made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time. The boat ride itself was beautiful, with stunning water views the whole way out. We would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting the Cayman Islands and would do it again!!

Our guide Jahvan was awesome. Very clean and comfortable boat for our party of 6…plenty of rom for up to 8. We caught smooth seas so the boat ride was smooth and quick. We were able to do stingrays, snorkeling, starfish and snacks and cocktails at a beach bar all on a half day afternoon trip, and without having to hurry. Would 100% repeat this exact trip again.

We were lucky to have Justin as our captain for our experience. He was so much fun and knowledgable. He let us hold a stingray and brought us to the best snorkel spot where we saw the turtles up close! The whole trip was perfect!

We showed up 15 minutes early. Waited for 45 minutes total and they didn’t show up. Received a message one hour and 19 minutes after the event time that they were trying to reach by phone and wondering if we were coming. Nothing before the hour and 19 minutes after the start time. As a family of 10 we needed to make other plans so our day wasn’t ruined especially with kids.

We were a family of 9, from ages 18 months to 70 years old. We went on the boat "Family Time" with Justin. He was excellent, fun for the little ones and very informative for the adults. He helped us every step of the way at Stingray City, we even gave the stingrays a kiss for good luck! Justin made sure the kids got to see and hold the starfish at Starfish Point and our 3 year old even snorkeled on the reef. Arrangements were easy and the boat was beautiful, spotless and with plenty of room for everyone. Justin was the best guide ever! What a wonderful day. Thank you!

Great experience with our Captain Javan. Water was a bit rough but Javan navigated with expertise and we were still able to get out at Stingray City and the snorkel location which were both awesome. Starfish point was super calm and really cool experience for my kids 11, 9 and 7. Spend the extra money if you can do this private tour vs a huge 40+ person trip.

Great skipper, friendly and professional staff with beautiful spots such as Rum Point; great snorkeling and ending with the incredible experience of stingray city. We had a great half day tour with Javon. He was very prompt in picking us up from our hotel and keeping us on schedule. We had 6 kids (ranging from 2-7) and he was very patient with them. Everyone loved seeing the stingrays and the starfish. It was the highlight our of vacation. Javon was very knowledgeable of the stingrays and island (he is a local, which we loved)! Highly recommend.

With the private tour, it's very flexible. The driver lets you choose your stops. At Stingray Beach, they help you get the stingrays on your arms and you can feed the. It's really fun.

Captain Pryce was amazing. We had a couple of kids nervous about getting in the water with the stingrays, but Pryce was right there to get them comfortable. They never wanted to leave. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Pryce.

The experience was fabulous! We were a family group of 9 with 5 older kids, and so glad we chose this boat. The kids loved sitting in the back bench, or the open bow, and plenty of comfortable seats for the adults. Our guide Javan took great care of us, and his calm and friendly demeanor with local knowledge was great. So fun to see, hold and even kiss the Stingray! The snorkeling was surprisingly great, and Starfish Point was a relaxing stop. We did the morning tour and perfect weather, and calm seas. Well worth it!

We had an amazing time on this excurison. Our capitan/guide was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. Our group ranged in age from 1-62 and everyone enjoyed it. We had a great experience holding the rays, couldn't get over the beauty of the ocean during snorkling, and loved the time spent at Star Fish Point. Highly recommend!

This was our second time to do the private half-day tour of Stingray City, snorkeling, and Starfish Beach with Island Splash Watersports. It's a five-star trip hands down. Fabulous trip to swim with stingrays and visit starfish beach! Great boat captain and mate took us to the stingray sand bar and helped us get in and out of the boat since it was a little rough. What a great experience holding and touching the rays, they were very knowledgeable.

We had a great time on this excursion. We were traveling with friends, my husband’s parents, and 2, 4 year-olds. The boat was a good size and our guide was very helpful and engaging with us when we had questions. We felt safe having our girls on their boat absolutely recommend it over booking an overcrowded tour to these destinations.

We had a fantastic excursion and were beyond impressed with our boat Capitan Javon. He knew just where to go and made sure each stop was a great experience. The boat is so comfortable and beautifully maintained, a smooth ride as well. Javon is super knowledgeable about the area, water, marine life, the country, etc. He could even answer the random questions our tweens came up with. I would highly recommend this tour; my 12, 11, and 6 year old daughters all enjoyed the stingrays, starfish, and snorkeling.

Hands-down one of the best experiences we’ve had in Grand Cayman, truly first class! We booked “Take Time” for a half-day, three-stop tour of Stingray City, Rum Reef, and Starfish Point for our family of four. The boat was beautiful and spotless, snorkelling gear was provided, and the entire experience felt relaxed and well thought out. We loved the flexibility... we could stay a bit longer at a spot or move on when we were ready, and Jason even let us choose between snorkeling locations based on swimming conditions that day and what we’d be most likely to see. Jason is a local Caymanian from a long line of seamen, so he’s a wealth of knowledge on the stingrays, the habitats we visited, and guidelines for responsibly interacting with stingrays. We’ll book Island Splash Watersports again without hesitation!
