By FAR the BEST part of our trip! Justin was on time picking us up and was such a great captain. My husband, myself and our 3 teens had the trip of a lifetime. Super clean boat, and so knowledgeable about the island and sea life. I wish I could give him 10⭐️

This was our family’s favorite excursion out of all our cruise stops. We had the boat all to ourselves and got to hit all the best stops. Justin’s knowledge of the area was great, and he even got pictures of all of us holding a stingray.

Justin was a fantastic guide who took us to two great snorkeling spots plus Stingray City. A true local, he was born and raised on the island and genuinely shared his love for Grand Cayman and all of its beauty. We had four people in our group, and the Whaler was very comfortable and exactly as advertised. It was such a fun day with incredible wildlife sightings including turtles, stingrays, lionfish, and so many other beautiful fish. We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend this trip!

Scheduled a private late afternoon tour for five adults with Justin. We went to Stingray City, Starfish Point, had a sunset dinner on Rum Point and finished with a night swim at Bioluminescent Bay. It was all truly amazing. Justin was a great captain- very personable and knowledgeable. It was a big highlight of our Grand Cayman trip. Would definitely recommend a tour with Barefoot Charters.

Great experience with Justin! He was very engaging, and shared his knowledge of the history of the Caymans and the present day conditions. We did a private 1/2 trip to see the rays, starfish, and do a reef snorkel. He called an audible at Stingray City (it was packed with excursions, about 100 people) and took us to Rum point, where there were lots of rays and an only a few people. He used his GoPro to take some great pics and videos. Starfish Point was nice and there were lots of fish on the snorkel. He also took us through the mangroves. Highly recommend !!

Our family spent this morning with Justin. He arrived on time at our Airbnb and adjusted the standard trip at our request. He was very friendly and was extremely knowledgeable about the area, with information on both the boat trip and the rest of the island. He even took pictures on his go-pro for us. The trip was the highlight of the week!

What a fun and memorable experience for our family of three! We booked Barefoot Charters for a 3 hour cruise visiting Stingray City and Starfish Point, and a stop to snorkel in the coral reefs. Our guide, Justin, is a 7th generation Caymanian and was a fantastic tour guide. He educated us about the island history and animals we encountered. He swam with us in Stingray City and introduced us to the sting rays (they were friendly and curious!). He also took family photos of us with his GoPro, which made it much more relaxing to enjoy the moment and not worry about trying to get the perfect photo opp. We would highly recommend Barefoot Charters for a unique and personalized tour experience and will book them again for the bioluminescence tour during our next visit!

We did private tour to Bioluminescent Bay with Justin. We had kids with us and Justin seemed very irritated by the kids. Would book with another company if you have kids.

Any family planning to do and excursion in the Caymans MUST reach out to Justin. We did Stingray City and Starfish Point with Justin and were hesitant to do snorkeling as we had our 5 year old son with us. Initially Justin offered to stay on the boat with our 5 year old to keep him company. However, during our outing, Justin set our little man up with a life jacket and our son took to it quickly. Justin then tossed out his life preserver that was attached to his boat so our son could have the life jacket and hold on to the life preserve while we all snorkeled around or son. We then booked Justin for the next night at the bioluminescence bay. Again, he exceeded expectations and accommodated all of us during our outing. I enjoy stargazing and he pointed out different constellations while we were coming back in. His knowledge of the island, his promptness picking us up from our resort, and most importantly, his care and attention shown to our children make Justin the only charter we will do business with when we return to this beautiful island!

This was our second trip to Grand Cayman and I’m so glad we booked a private charter with Captain Justin. He was professional and prompt- picked us up at the Ritz Carlton at 6:30pm then drove us to The Yacht Club where we hopped on the boat as the sun was setting and cruised over to Rum Point/Bio Bay. We were the first boat to arrive but we could start to see the plankton as we were moving in the water. He provided skin suits to make sure we didn’t get stung by upside down jellyfish and showed us what they looked like. We hopped in the water with lifejackets because we were in the warm bay for an hour splashing around - marveling at the underwater light show everytime we moved. We also floated in the Bio Bay looking at the stars and had an incredibly memorable evening! I would highly recommend Justin and this private tour because you get quality time in the water away from all the big boats in the bay. Thank you Justin for an experience we won’t ever forget!

Our private boat tour to Stingray City, snorkeling and Rum Point was absolutely incredible from start to finish! From the moment Justin picked us up and we stepped aboard his boat, Justin made us feel welcomed, safe and completely at ease. Stingray City was magical Getting up close with the stingrays in such crystal-clear water was a once-in-a-lifetime experience Justin made sure we understood how to interact with the stingrays respectfully, and felt completely comfortable the entire time. The snorkeling stop was like swimming in a natural aquarium. The coral reef were vibrant and we saw a stunning variety of marine life. Justin provided high quality snorkeling gear and guided us to the best spots while he photographed us with his GoPro, and later shared the pictures with us on our phones. We end the tour at Rum Point where we relaxed with a light lunch, cool drinks, and enjoyed the laid back island vibe. Our private boat charter with Justin in Grand Cayman was absolutely a highlight of our trip! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and unforgettable. We were conveniently picked up right at the cruise port and brought over to the boat, which was in pristine condition — spacious, clean, and clearly well cared for. Snorkeling gear and life vests were provided and also in excellent condition, which made the whole adventure even more comfortable and enjoyable. Justin, the owner and guide, is a native Caymanian. His knowledge of the island and its natural beauty was incredible, and he was so friendly and helpful throughout the day. He took us to some amazing spots — we swam with stingrays, snorkeled at a reef where we saw fish and coral, spotted several sea turtles, and visited a beach with starfish. Justin also provided cold waters and sodas onboard, which was a nice touch after all the swimming and snorkeling. To top off the day, we stopped for lunch at a charming beachside restaurant. Justin tied up the boat at the dock and we simply walked up to enjoy a delicious meal with our toes in the sand. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic day. If you're visiting Grand Cayman and looking for a private, personalized, five-star experience on the water, I can't recommend this charter enough!

Justin was a great captain! Our private excursion with him was awesome! We enjoyed our first stop snorkeling along the reef. Then on top Sting Ray City. He was able to get a couple stingrays for us to touch and hold. Our kids loved being around them. Last stop was the start fish beach. It was calm and kids had fun holding them. Perfect private charter for small group. Justin was a fantastic captain and he took us (two couples) out on the boat for a couple of hours. We went to swim with the stingrays - even showing the more courageous in the group how to handle them carefully and play with them. We also stopped by Kaibo for mudslides and then saw gorgeous sunset from perfect spot on the boat. Justin picked up provisions for us and was right on time to pick us up at our hotel. It was first class service from start to finish and he was very personable and informative. We really had a great time and would highly recommend it. If you don’t want to go on one of the crowded boat excursions and/or want to tailor it to what you want to do and don’t want to do, this charter company and Justin are the perfect choice for you. You won’t be disappointed. Also very reasonable pricing given the tailored personal charter you are getting!

Amazing day - Justin was very knowledgeable, friendly, great captain. Took 4 teens and enjoyed every minute. Held stingrays, starfish, spent time snorkeling. 10/10 Saw all the things large excursions see, but had no crowds. Stingray City had 20+ boats full of people - our stingray spot had about 10 stingrays and 2-3 boats the entire time we were there. Highly recommend!

I took barefoot charters on 2 separate excursions. Bio-illuminescent bay and sting ray city/starfish point/snorkeling. My family of 5 all had an amazing experience on Justin’s private charter - he can take up to 7 people in his boat. Justin was very responsive to all pre-trip questions, and gave weather updates leading up to the trip given the chance of some windy conditions. On both trips, he promptly picked us up and dropped us off directly at the hotel. Justin was professional, personable, good with kids, and knowledgeable. The bio bay was a fascinating experience. Seeing the water light up light like fairy dust with any movement is surreal. On the night of our trip, we had to get into the water with snorkel gear to see this phenomenon, and it was well worth it! On the trip to sting ray city, Justin was very proactive and spent a lot of time in the water with my 3 kids making sure we all got up close interactions with the sting rays. I’ve taken this trip in the past with a larger tour company with more people. Without a doubt, taking a private charter with Justin and getting a more personalized experience was well worth the extra cost. I would highly recommend Justin and barefoot charters. I would be a return customer.

We had a completely awesome time with Justin cruising around Cayman. He was so accommodating to our every need especially making us feel so comfortable feeding the stingrays. He also made it possible for one in our group to snorkel even though he really didn’t swim that well. Justin also picked us up from our condo on time n dropped us back off. This made it super easy to get to the marina. The boat is very clean n roomy n has everything you would need to have a great day on the water :) Just can’t say enough positive things about our cruise. Justin was very accommodating, reasonable, knowledgeable and patient with our three kids 11,9, and 4.5 years old. His boat is perfect for small groups and his knowledge of the island is immense. We would highly recommend Barefoot Charters and Captain Justin for a private boat charter on Grand Cayman! We are a married couple with 2 daughters (ages 12 and 11). We have been to Grand Cayman each year for the past 10 years and always try to make a morning or afternoon boat trip part of our vacation. We lost touch with a great Captain that we had been out with many times in the past and are happy to say we have found an excellent Captain going forward. We connected with Captain Justin by using his website and found the entire experience to be easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Justin grew up on the island and had great local knowledge to share. We went snorkeling at a barrier reef on the other side of Stingray City and at another reef off the coast of Rum Point. Justin was flexible with the itinerary - if you have experience boating he will let you pick the spots but he also had great suggestions. We also found the pricing reasonable and the Boston Whaler was a great vessel for the excursion.

Justin is great! We have taken two different trips with Justin - once with our family of 4 and then again with the grandparents. Born and raised on the island - he is extremely knowledgeable about all things Cayman. He will craft the tour however you see fit. He is great in the water which helps on wavy days with the stingrays or when helping out during a snorkel session.
