Itinerary
On the Oculus Glass Bottom boat, you can explore the fascinating history of the sunken boats of Cali and Balboa in the Grand Cayman. Diving and snorkeling at these shipwrecks must get permission from the port beforehand. However, you don't need to get permission from the port if you join our glass bottom boat tour. This once-in-a-lifetime experience is perfect for those who are not strong swimmers, scuba divers, or have any complications that prevent them from diving.
Embark on an unforgettable journey where our knowledgeable guides reveal the secrets of historic wrecks. You can experience the thrill of exploring these submerged relics firsthand, all while staying dry aboard our tour vessel. It's an immersive adventure that brings history to life right before your eyes.
Cheeseburger Reef is known for its underwater sculptures, which have been strategically placed to enhance natural beauty and provide additional habitat for marine life. The reef's beauty, accessibility, and diverse marine life make it a popular destination for snorkelers and scuba divers visiting Grand Cayman. On this tour you can explore the vibrant marine life of Cheeseburger Reef.

This was a great way to see marine life and underwater wrecks. It was about an hour, which is great when you are visiting and want to see other sites too. The staff was friendly and entertaining.
Would recommend! Saw a couple of shipwrecks and lots of fish, stingrays, a turtle. Prior to the trip I had a question and reached them right away via WhatsApp. We had a great time!
The experience was great! Lots of underwater sea life and shipwrecks. Note there are no signs telling you where to meet and the boat is not called the Oculus, so we had trouble figuring out where to meet. Staff were very helpful with my sister who has difficulty walking.
Horrible! They gave us wrong meeting point address and then we called them and they gave us another address by the time we went there the boat left
It never happened! I was contacted by CJ Moore, two days before the tour that weekend tours were canceled due to low demand. They offered Friday 3/13 at 1 pm, I declined as my flight was scheduled to land at 12:15 pm that day. I requested other options. They responded by offering Monday 3/16 at 9 am or 10 am. I immediately accepted 9 am slot. I asked them to confirm as soon as they could, and at least by 3/15 (today) so I could plan accordingly. I forwarded several messages asking for confirmation, but no one responded to confirm or otherwise. I even requested to process a full refund, but still no response. This is extremely concerning and needs attention and intervention from Viator team.
We had a wonderful experience on the glass bottom boat tour in Grand Cayman. The water was incredibly clear, and being able to see the reef and marine life through the glass bottom was amazing. It was such a fun way to experience the ocean, especially for families or anyone who wants to see underwater life without snorkeling. Our guide was fantastic, very friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout the tour. They shared interesting information about the reef, fish, and the local environment, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The whole excursion was well organized, relaxing, and truly memorable. If you’re visiting Grand Cayman, I would absolutely recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
The tour guide made the trip a 5 star. He was great and engaging. The assistant who swam with the fish was very entertaining I was disappointed that there was water the glass and that our feet were in water which made it uncomfortable.
Our trip on the Oculus glass-bottom boat was the absolute highlight of our Grand Cayman vacation! It was the perfect way to see the vibrant reefs and haunting shipwrecks without the hassle of snorkeling gear or even getting our hair wet. The guide was fantastic, sharing hilarious stories and local history as we watched schools of fish dart right beneath our feet through the crystal-clear viewing panels. If you’re looking for a stress-free, front-row seat to the island’s underwater magic, this is an experience you can’t miss!
A great way to explore the sea without getting wet. Very informative and entertaining.
we really enjoyed the excursion. Lawrence and Alehandro were amazing. They made this adventure fun and informative. Would recommend this as a fun and relaxing time Really enjoyed to narrative on the ship wreaks and the dancing fish. Super fun
Pleasant trip with an entertaining guide. Shipwrecks were interesting, limited fish seen apart from when a crew member swam under the boat with food and then there were plenty wanting a share of lunch.
Awesome! Such a cool way to see the fish and shipwrecks, and the tour guides were great! Def check it out 😊
Perfect outing to take little ones and see some ship wrecks and reefs and fish. The guide was humorous and knowledgeable.
Very knowledgeable guide & a very fun experience. We had a “fish whisperer”. You will find out about that if you take the trip !!!
Very informative and entertaining!! A nice tour on the water without actually getting wet, seeing and learning about the shipwrecks was very cool - especially the dancing fish! Definitely recommend
Going on this tour was funny and fun. We were able to see the lumber and rice boat ship wreck. The information that was given was easy to understand. The crew was amazing, we got to meet a fish whisperer and see fish dance( fykyk). The fish was extremely close, and the best part was that we remained dry. Would definitely recommend.
We had a great time on the Oculus Glass Bottom Boat. The crew was great and entertaining. Loved seeing the fish and learning the history behind the shipwrecks.
We saw so much more than I did diving, the captain was hilarious, and he went above and beyond to ensure we got a great view of the fishes
They left without us. We were at the dock at 11:46 for a noon tour and they had already left the dock and were driving away. I yelled and waived at them but they never looked back. After I was on chat with viator for an hour they said they would pick us up for a tour at 1pm but we had to get back on the ship. Not the first time I had problems with a viator tour. Not cool that 8 of us that booked didn't get to go on the tour.
The guide was great and his swimming under the boat to make the fish dance was entertaining. The boat is small and is crowded with 20 people or so. The glass in the bottom was not that clear but you could see to the ocean floor. You see 2 shipwrecks and cheeseburger reef. The trip was only an hour and was less then $100 so was worth it but don’t expect too much. It is very close to the cruise dock so easy to access.
Lawrence was informative and funny. Nice views of 2 shipwrecks and Cheeseburger Reef. Saw tarpin, barracuda, stingray, and a variety of other fish.
Great way to see the shipwrecks and reef. Lots of fish. Guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. Kids on board loved it.
The staff was amazing. Very informative and fun experience! Would recommend for all visiting the Cayman Islands!
Great captain- fun & friendly! Boat was safe and comfortable. Getting on and off is a bit tricky if you have mobility difficulties or use an aid to walk. I have a balance disorder and I did fine just using the rails and helping hands. We saw a shark, turtles, ray, lots of fish, 2 shipwrecks and Cheeseburger Reef.
We took a 10 am to 11 am tour during the Christmas break 2023 and it was fabulous!! The Captain and his assistant were very good, informative and entertaining! The views of the Cali and Balboa shipwrecks were excellent. The coral was a bit dead, understandably with all the development over the years and pollution. The fishes kept following the assistant who jumped into the Bay and showed up under the glass along with the fishes! All said, it was very much worth the money! Highly recommend this one!
Was so fun, a very unique experience. What a fun and informative crew! They showed us all around the bay and explained so many things. We saw a shipwreck and a beautiful light house. We also got to feed some fish!
The whole crew was awesome. Great music, fun tour. Highly recommend!! The boat is brand new and very comfortable.
Great 2 hour trip to learn more about Nassau, Paradise Island, see some reefs, turtles and fish. Great crew (Captains Candia, Disco and Abraham) were funny and informative. The boat looks like a spaceship and holds 25 max. (Our trip had only 12 people on board.) So avoid the cattle car glass bottom boats and try the Oculus
