Grand Cayman Private Stingray City And Snorkeling

This excursion was easily one of the highlights of our cruise! Humberto was phenomenal and knew exactly where to take us to make sure we saw plenty of starfish, turtles, and stingrays. The snorkeling spot was one of our favorites that we have ever been to; lots of fish and a closeup experience with a Moray Eel! We would easily do this excursion again and highly recommend Humberto to anyone looking to book a private charter in the Cayman Islands!

Our trip with Humberto was so much fun! His boat is in great shape and is the perfect size to get a family of four to all of the Cayman hotspots fast. He took us to Starfish Point, a snorkeling spot, and then to stingray city. Humberto is very knowledgeable about the stingrays and the Cayman Islands. I would highly recommend this tour guide!

Humberto is an exceptional captain. Despite a very windy day and challenging ocean conditions, Humberto was able to make the trip a success. We got to swim with the stingrays and then spend time at starfish beach. Humberto was very clear about what we could and couldn’t do because of the weather and accommodated our desires perfectly. He was kind and patient with us, arranged for a taxi to be waiting when we returned to the marina, and invited us back anytime for an evening bioluminescence trip at his expense. We booked this private boat excursion for a day we were in port on a cruise and it DID NOT disappoint!! Communication was excellent before the trip. We took the short taxi ride from the port and arrived at the harbor a little early. Our boat captain, Sean, arrived shortly after with a cooler full of water, cokes and local beer for our trip. Our first stop was stingray city. We did this first to beat the rush of other boats coming to this area. We had the stingrays to ourselves for quite a while. Sean fed the stingrays and found his favorite and was very kind and patient to take pictures of everyone in our group with the stingrays. We stayed there for about an hour and then headed to starfish point. After that we went to the barrier reef to snorkel. It was amazing! Sean provided us with everything we needed. We had plenty of time there to snorkel. Sean is a local from Grand Cayman so he filled us in on all of the history and interesting facts about the island. On our way back to the harbor, Sean called for a taxi that was waiting there when we arrived to take us back to the cruise port. I would 100% book this excursion again! We have booked dozens of excursions in the past and this one ranked right up there at the top! You can’t go wrong with this beautiful island and amazing excursion! This experience with our boat captain/ tour guide was phenomenal! We had 8 people iin our party and we all had the most awesome day! Humberto was the best guide. He took us to swim with the sting rays, to starfish point, to a special place to snorkel and even gave us time to have a quick lunch and cool beverage at rum point! He was very knowledgeable about each location and had the most chill way about him. He knew so much about the island and about all the wildlife. He made everyone so comfortable with the stingrays and made sure we all got to touch hold and kiss (7 years good luck) the stingrays! He took us to a secluded place to snorkel and we saw so many fish! We all would recommend him as your tour guide on this incredible excursion!

Had a great experience with Humberto. Very kind and knowledgable. Can customize your trip however you like and stay for as little and as long as you like at each stop. Held stingrays and starfish and snorkeled a couple spot. Excellent time. Humberto even called a cab for our family on the way in so the taxi was waiting for us when got back dock.

my family had a great time with Humberto. we all got to hold the sting ray and feed it. saw a rare sea turtle while snorkling. Unfortuanley there were only a few starfish out but that's nature sometimes. highly recommend a private tour if you are looking to do these activies and he was a great captain and guide!!

We loved every minute of our half day private boat charter with Humberto (Blue Lobster Water Tours). Captain Humberto was great and took our family of 6 to top notch snorkeling spots as well as a stop at Stingray City. To see and interact with these amazing creatures in their natural habitat was an experience that will not be forgotten! This tour was perfect! Humberto simply got us. From the folks who's swimming ability was a little suspect... to the collegiate swimmers who loved making fun of the family member who least could float. He took care of all of us. A well taken care of boat, Lots of rays, and starfish.., to perfect area to to snorkel. Great price, great people, great fun!

I had the pleasure of taking this private boat excursion with my family. We wanted a relaxing trip on the water that could be personalized if needed. This is exactly what we got! Humberto was an excellent host. From booking the trip to coordinating details, the trip was a breeze. The boat was a nice size. He had snacks and beverages on board. His snorkel gear was great. He took us between the spots we wanted to see and gauged it all so we hit each spot when it wasn't super busy with the larger tours. I highly recommend this tour.

Humberto was a superb guide! He knew the best timing and spots to take us with our kids. He was patient and worked hard to get sting rays for us to hold or pet. He gave us lots of time and spots, took us to find sea turtles, knew exactly where to look for different sea life and where we should start due to the current. He was friendly and helpful at every turn. We really couldn't have asked for a better snorkeling experience with our kids who were 4-6. I booked this boat tour on the day of my son’s birthday and it was the best decision ever! We had one amazing and memorable experience. Shawn was our captain and he is truly passionate on what he does. He is very attentive and fun. He is very knowledgable about stingray, starfish, and story about Cayman islands. The boat is beautiful and spacious. He provided cold drinks and good music. This is truly one for the books! Highly recommended!

Absolutely unforgettable experience with Sean and Eton. We loved how friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible they were. We avoided the crowds; and they were incredible with our two small children (6 and 2). 10/10 you won’t regret it. So happy I booked this tour, and definitely will be returning.

We had a great afternoon with Humberto. Instead of having a set itinerary that we had to follow he was really flexible allowing us to visit the key sites when they were the least crowded. We visited Stingray City, Starfish point, went to a great snorkeling spot and had a yummy lunch at Rum Point. Humberto was very knowledgeable and really fun. Highly recommend this tour.

We spent the afternoon with Humberto and it was one of the best activities we have done on our many vacations. He was a fantastic guide. Sting Ray city was the best! His snorkeling spot was awesome! Stopping and grabbing a drink at Rum Point was so fun. Definitely recommend skipping the big boat tours and taking your family out with him for the day.

We had a great time snorkeling and feeding the stingrays. Humberto, our captain, was fantastic. He explained a lot about each place we went to and made sure we were having a great time. We actually did our excursion on Christmas Day and he played Christmas tunes while we were in the boat. There were snacks, beer, and water that he had available for us. Communication was also great! As soon as I booked he sent me an email explaining where to meet him. He was right on time. As we arrived back at the marina he called ahead and had a taxi waiting for us to take us back to the port where our cruise ship was docked. He made it very easy and we had a blast. I would highly recommend this tour. It was worth booking a private excursion versus a large boats with a lot of people on board. Thanks, Humberto!

First I have to start by saying that I usually don’t do reviews, so with that said, this is a review to read. We were scheduled for Jan 4th initially but Humberto contacted me on Jan 3rd to suggest we may want to rethink the 4th as it was extremely windy and it would be unsafe as well as we wouldn’t be able to get the full experience. He gave us 3 different scenarios to choose from and we chose to move to the 6th as weather would be better. We met up with him at the docks and he is an extremely friendly and inviting person. His boat is also in very good shape and very nice. He gave us the choice to choose which spots to hit first and in what order. He also made suggestions as which one to do when to avoid larger crowds. It takes no time at all during the trip to feel welcomed by him. Honestly it was like cruising on a boat with an old friend. When snorkeling and at stingray city, he also got in the water with us and interacted with us as well as taught us quite a few things about the local marine life. He truly loves what he does and trust me it shows! Seriously, this is the guy to use whether it is 2 people or a family with kids of all ages.

Would not do again. The operator was late. We didn’t go to all 3 places listed. The weather didn’t help and we should have been offered a different day and time. We spent barely any time with the sting rays and at starfish point. I contacted the owner who said he would call and he never did.

Swimming with the sting rays was one of the neatest things our family has ever done on vacation. It was nice having a private tour instead of a boat with 100 people on it. Humberto asked us if there was anything we wanted to do. There was no rush and we could just take our time. Loved every minute of this experience.

Great visits to Stingray City, snorkeling at the reef and with Starfish on the beach. Knowing that the trip was planned with our grandchildren in mind, Humberto was attentive to their wishes which insured a great family memory. Definitely a return visit to Grand Cayman with the remainder of the family and back onboard with Humberto.

Terrific boat trip with Humberto! He guided us to see the stingrays off Rum Point which he thought would be best for those in our group who were a little tentative about handling the rays. He was patient and knowledgeable, and gave us a memorable morning on the water.

Huberto did a wonderful job to accommodate us. We switched up itinerary at the last minute due to the winds and waves and he took us to a better calm spot to snorkle. I would highly recommend him

Captain Humberto was fantastic! Our ship was late, but he adjusted to our new arrival time. We took a taxi for the 7 of us ($7/person) to the yacht club. Humberto's boat comfortably for our 7 adults. He took us to Sting Ray City, but because we were late, it was packed. So, he took us to a calmer beach where there were sting rays that we got to feed and hold, the water was much calmer, and there were far less tourists. It was lovely! Lots of pics of the fam! Then he took us to Starfish Cove, and finally to a reef for some snorkeling and swimming. He provided some drinks and chips for our adventure as well as all the snorkeling equipment. Because we had 7 adults, this was a far more economic and enjoyable way to experience Cayman. (It would have cost the same to do the excursion for Sting Ray City with the cruise line.) We booked directly with Humberto using WhatsApp, paid cash, and it saved us some. Hunberto made sure we got back to the port on time. Make sure you use his contact for the taxi back. Highly recommend doing the private tour, and Humberto was fantastic!

Our guide was fantastic! We had a great time. We have booked Stingray City excursions both through cruise lines and independently, both with large groups. Private was definitely the way to go! Worth every penny! We had such an amazing time with our guide, and now we are planning on flying back to book some different trips with him. 1000% recommend! 👍

Great guide! We were able to see a variety of fish in clear water and stingrays. He was flexible in our itinerary, meeting us at a dock closest to our condo in Northside and bringing us to see the stingrays after the large crowds had passed.

We had an amazing tour with Humberto! He took us to wade with the stingrays, feel the prickly starfish at Starfish Point, and enjoy some snorkeling. He was so knowledgeable about the animals and the island. Humberto was even nice enough to drop off us at the dock at the Ritz. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a phenomenal captain and private charter. Thank you Humberto!

Our family was on a cruise, arrival for boat time to GeorgeTown was 9am, we tendered to the port, the Taxis were right there at the port, $7 a person to the Yacht club. The ride was a quick 15 minutes, we met Humberto at the dock, he had everything ready to go! Our tour was beyond perfect, exceeded our expectations. We got to pet stingrays, kiss a stingray, hold a sting ray, feed a sting ray, snorkel a gorgeous reef, and see so many huge star fish. Humberto's boat is clean, he knows the area and the animals so well, he taught us so much about them. We could not have picked a better tour and highly recommend Humberto with Blue Lobster Water Tours. By far one of the best excursions we have ever done! It is a million times better than trying to t see the sting rays with a boat full of 150 people, Humberto took us to sting ray city, but also to another area that stingrays live, that was so nice because we did not have nay of the tourist crowds there! Humberto provided snack, drinks, and snorkel gear! After the tour, Humberto called us a Taxi, it was another 15 minute ride back to the port, and we still had time to shop before tendering back to our cruise boat, our all aboard time for the ship was 4:30pm.

Humberto was great. Everything was easy and he knew the area well. We were able to have a carefree and relaxed time while visiting 3 spots with our kids. Much preferred this instead of being on a large boat, this way we could go at our own pace.

Humberto was very attentive and made sure we were all having a good time. This was the perfect choice for our family of 4.

We had 6 adults on our trip. Tropical storm Sara was just leaving the area and the seas were a little rough. But our wonderful captain Humberto, took us to local spots that were calm and full of sea life. He was super accommodating and had great communication. It was our favorit thing we did on our vacation!!!! HIGHLY recommend Humberto!!

5 star plus tour excursion. Humberto, our captain, was incredible and made our experience a memorable one. Our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 teenage girls) had the best time. We initially arrived at Sting Ray city, where we jumped into beautiful coloured water where we swam with, held and fed sting rays. Our second stop was at Starfish point. Where we held starfish and swam in gorgeous waters. Our final stop was Rum point but due to strong waves we were not able to snorkel but we swam instead. We were provided with beers, soft drinks and snacks on board and were able to play our music. 100% recommended tour with Humberto for a private boat tour.

My family (all adults and I) had a great time with our private boat with Humberto/Blue Lobster Water Tours. The tour included a visit to sting ray city as well as a couple of snorkel spots. The instructions from the team in advance of our arrival were really clear and we arrived to the yacht club with no issues. Humberto was ready and invited us onto the boat, we stored our belongings under the front seat, and departed on time. We had a choice of music for the trip out to stingray city, which took around 25mins. While we did get into the water it was very choppy and Humberto suggested a different location where there would also be rays (fewer of them but also fewer tourists). That place was fab as Humberto got into the water with us and was able to position the rays for photos, and they swam around us intrigued by human presence so we could interact with them as much as they wanted. We got some great photos. We then stopped in a deeper spot for some snorkelling and it was fab. Humberto fed the fish which caused a flurry - great from under the water, but also for my mum who stayed on the boat to see them close to the surface. Sadly the weather wasn't amazing causing more waves, and our 2nd/3rd attempts at in different spots had jellyfish, so it wasn't safe. Totally outside of the tour companies control. Our only issue we had was with the ladder for the boat. You could slide off the side into the water but the ladder to get back in was on one side, and only had a central piece with 3 poles for stepping up. There was only 1 handle to hold onto, so with the waves I unfortunately fell back into the water bashing and bruising my leg. Humberto was very careful and patient when it came to my mother (in her 70s) so she could get in safely, but if you do have issues with mobility, or in my case weight, it might not be the best option. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to book this tour again (even with the ladder - as I was a pro climbing in by the end). It certainly beat getting onto a larger slower boat with loads of tourists.

This was worth every penny and extremely fair priced. Humberto is an excellent tour guide and makes your trip very memorable. I cannot recommend this trip enough! I traveled with my wife and 8 year old. Humberto gave us plenty of time and it was very safe. Thank you Humberto for the best experience of our vacation!

Amazing experience - definitely a highlight of our trip! Humberto was so kind and knowledgeable. We traveled with three generations and he took care to make sure everyone was comfortable, safe and had a great time. We really enjoyed being able to choose where we wanted to spend our time. Humberto Knows the sea like I know my garden! He’s professional and calm the while time, we can with an infant and a nanny, Humberto made sure that everyone was having a pleasant ride. The day we went was very choppy waves, and all other tour companies cancelled, but he didn’t cancel and he knew exactly which spots to go to have calm waters, basically we were the only ones everywhere! we did stingrays, starfish, and snorkeling, he customized 100% to how I wanted with no pressure… truly an amazing tour, 1000% recommend!

Humberto gave us a great adventure that my kids will always remember. Our Cruise was late but this was not a problem communication was great. We took a taxi from where the Cruise tender the dock where Humberto's boat was located. The trip took approximate 10 mins, with the taxi drive knowing and finding it easily. We meet Humberto at the dock and was on his boat on our way in less than 5 minutes from getting off the taxi. Our first stop was Stingray City! It took us about 15 min until we at the sandbar where the stingrays hang out. We beat all of the Cruise excursions! We got off his boat and enjoyed the Stingrays all to ourselves for about 10 minuets. He was great with the kids (10 and 9) and My Mother-in Law (I will not tell her age! but I'm 40 ). After an about an hour and now the sandbar full of all of the other boats and people we decided to leave to our next location. We took about a 5 min boat ride to Starfish point. Starfish Point OMG! No other boats again. Soo relaxing and peaceful. The pictures don't do it justice. The starfish are everywhere! I thought the kids would get bored after 15 minutes...NOPE! They were in the water for over an hour. The kids were getting hungry. Humberto to the rescue. Some snacks and drinks kids were back into the water! Humberto did have some snorkel equipment for the kids. Not a lot to see but the Starfish but the kids had fun. Humberto had a few locally made cold adult beverages for us older kids. After we were done with the at Starfish Point he offered to take us to Rum Point. We declined, and asked to be taken back to the dock. This was completely our choice. Honestly there we be no way we could top the experience we had so far, and some of the big boats from the cruise excursions were there or heading that way. On our way back to the dock, I expressed my concern about getting a taxi back to the cruise terminal. Humberto to the rescues again. One call and a taxi was waiting for us when we got back to the dock. This was my 3rd time to the Stingray City, the previous two times, I was a number on a cruise excursion. The Cruise motto, (Get as many people as you can, in the biggest boats we can, out to the sand bar.) It was fun but...Humberto with Blue Lobster tours, was the best! Next time we are in Grand Cayman we will definitely book with Humberto! No questions Asked! In conclusion, Great experience for everyone! Even my Mother in Law, said it was the best time she's had in a long time! You know its good when your MIL says its good and gave me a compliment on finding Humberto.
