It was a pretty small group and I appreciated that. Pepe was very informative and we got a little card with informative facts before our trip. We got containers to put our stuff in and they gave us bug spray when the mosquitoes came out. If you can’t swim you can stay on the ladder and still experience it

Weather was overcast and drizzle in the beginning and remained cloudy which maybe affected the bioluminescence but overall Pepe and his team made it fun. We laughed and were informed about certain informational pieces about the island. Overall great time and super super neat. Would definitely like to do this one again!!!! And if Pepe reads these reviews, the joke about Cuba was great!! Thank you!!!
This is a once in a lifetime snorkeling experience in the Bioluminescent Bay. The crew was awesome, friendly, caring and fun. They ensured that everyone was safe and prepared. We stopped to see the sea-stars (commonly called starfish) but they are not fish then on to the bioluminescent snorkel. The trip out we saw a beautiful sunset and on the return trip a lot of stars. I highly recommend this company. They are family owned and the oldest tour company in CI. Don’t miss this tour with them.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such an amazing experience on our bioluminescent bay tour! The crew was absolutely wonderful and did a great job working around the weather to make sure we were still able to get our tour in. They were friendly, accommodating, and made the whole experience so much fun. Seeing the bioluminescence was incredible and definitely something we’ll never forget! Highly recommend! 💙✨
Seeing the sea stars was really neat, but the bioluminescent plankton takes the cake. The seemingly glittering water as your hands pass through is truly a wonderful experience. Our guides were fabulous and took great care of everyone.
The experience was so fun, I had no idea the there was plankton that lit up when brushed against.. they were like underwater lightning bugs.
This was a fun and smooth tour! The Captain was knowledgeable and personable. From pick-up to drop-off it was all stress free.
What a fabulous experience! Was a once in a lifetime experience swimming and seeing the bioluminescence Crew was excellent
Fantastic experience from start to finish. So much fun. Pepe and Jose were awesome. Would definitely recommend!!!
The experience was amazing, something me and my family will always remember.
The most amazing life experience ever. The captain and crew hand were absolutely amazing, helpful, happy. Couldn’t have asked for more
The guides and crew members of Seafarers Adventures were very pleasant and helpful. The bioluminescence was amazing as was starfish point. I would go with this company again.
Great experience! Tour guides very kind and knowledgeable. Helped us find the starfish, and gave great advice on how to enjoy the bioluminescent water
We had an amazing time. Pepe and team were great. The experience was magical.
The boat ride and crew were excellent. Star fish point was great. When we reached the bioluminescent area, it was dark and we were encouraged to swim under the boat. What they failed to mention is that there is nothing to grab onto under either side of the boat in the instance you have an emergency or just need to take a breath. Even though they offered life vests before entering the water, they need to be more specific in regards to what you may experience when swimming under the boat. I also feel that the bioluminescence is a little over hyped and not worth the money due to the fact that there is very little glow in the water. Neat I guess but would never do it again and won’t recommend it.
This was a great trip, and I would recommend it to anyone! This is only one of 5 Bioluminescent sites in the world, so truly an activity that few get to enjoy. Imagine feeling like a super hero while swimming in the water whilst omitting your super power glow. Stopping by Starfish Point was also a big plus. The only down side to this tour is the lack of time spent at each site.
This was such a cool experience. I had never been snorkeling at night. Pepe and our captain were great & very knowledgeable!
This was such a great experience and exceeded expectations. The guide and captain were nice and knowledgeable. The boat was also very clean and comfortable. Overall this exceeded my expectations and was good value for money.
Pepe was amazing and funny! He did a good job keeping everyone safe and still making sure we had fun. The water was gorgeous! The bioluminescent plankton made the water look sparkly. We (my aunt and my grandmother) loved it! Highly recommend it!!
The given time was one hour earlier than the actual tour with only water on board. Water shoes and life jackets are a must due to jelly fish in bioluminescence bay which is only 3 feet deep! This is not mentioned when booking this experience.
Great tour! Our guide, Pepe was awesome. We were absolutely amazed with bioluminescent bay! My kids, 17 and 13, loved it!
Fun trip. The crew was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
There is a cooler on board. Bring your drinks and food! Swim under the boat for the best bioluminescent contrast
Really a nice adventure once the thunderstorms moved away.. I was wondering if the crew was more interested in completing the trip vs canceling due to lightning but in the end it worked out.
So much fun, even in the rain. The bioluminescence was a very cool experience and the captain and crew took good care of us.
A very fun experience for family with 2 teenagers.
The captain and tour guide were very nice. The bioluminescence wasn’t very bright, but with nature it always a gamble what you get! Still glad we had the experience.
Really great ride and sweet hosts. The bioluminescence was a bit light but that’s the moonlight. We did have a great trip
We weren’t totally sure what to expect on this trip and were pleasantly surprised. Our guides were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the bay and Grand Cayman in general. Half our group stayed on board the boat to watch from above. The other half braved the bay and were not disappointed!! Very cool and totally unique experience that you really have to see to believe. Was really cool to see it underwater with a mask! Magical! Highly recommend!! Wear bug spray- the mosquitos were terrible!
Everything was great except for the actual bioluminescent. We were taken to an area with to much lighting. The lighting came from home that was around us. In order to see a little of the bioluminescent, we had to swim under the boat. Otherwise there was nothing. This was disappointing. Have traveled to other places and I know that it has to be a lot darker. I recommend to you find a darker spot so that customers have a better experience. The crew were great and very helpful.
So amazing! Went on a fairly dark night and the glow under water is magical! OK, it’s not really a glow - it’s sparkles of individual lights. My wife said it reminds her of the sparkles from a Disney princes wand. Definitely a highlight of our trip! The boat can get a little ocean spray - so if it’s cooler, pack a layer. They guys on the boat were awesome too - loved the playlist in the ride back. It was perfect for our honeymoon adventure!
Great experience and wonderful tour guides. They were very knowledgeable and we got to see starfish, jellyfish and the bioluminescence algae. We all loved it especially our two teens.
Incredible excursion. Everything from the sunset cruise out to see the starfish (and jellyfish and random manta ray) to the bioluminescent bay was perfect! Guides were friendly, the evening was carefully documented by the photographer, but yes, it was $50nto buy the irresistible photos and videos. It was a pricey tour for a family of 5, but honestly worth it. So unique and memorable. They also had cold drinks and wetsuits for our comfort. The boat was fantastic too.
We had a great time on this tour. This was our first time swimming in bioluminescent waters, so we had a great time. Starfish Point is also a great stop.
This was such a cool experience! We stopped at Star Fish Point and got to hold a bunch of starfish during sunset!! The bioluminescence was amazing, we tried to get pictures but they don’t compare to the actual thing! The tour guides were all super nice and helpful! 10/10 would recommend
Everything was amazing. The staff and experience was incredible. We definitely recommend this experience when visiting the Cayman Islands.
Awesome experience - highly recommended
Great experience. Mosquitos were crazy! But crew had bug spray so that helped a lot. Other than that it was so cool to swim in the dark and see everything light up like that.
They were excellent! Allowed us to join at Starfish bay - saved us over an hour driving back and forth across the island. They made the experience a lot of fun!
AWESOME experience!! Definitely a must if visiting the grand caymans. Tour guides we loved!! Friendly and super educational
Good tour to starfish point and bioluminescent bay. Crew was pleasant and professional. Completed as family of four.
Pepe and the crew were awesome. They made sure to stop at an area where we would have the best experience. They were also very knowledgeable and helpful.
We had 6 people from 19 to 54 years old and this was, by far, the favorite activity on our trip. It was an amazing spectacle. Unbelievable. The crew was very attentive to whatever we needed. They prepared us well for the outing and we all felt very safe. They supplied plastic bins to keep your personal belongings safe. There was a fresh water rinse off for after. I would DEFINITELY book with this tour again.
This was one of the coolest things ever. My wife and I both enjoyed the experience of a rare phenomenon. Would definitely do this again and recommend to others.
Great experience! Kids loved it! Crew was entertaining and really made it fun. Would definitely go back.
Our excursion was a rainy one, but we went anyway. The guys got us a dry tub immediately when we got on the boat. We only saw two starfish. I’m not sure if that’s because of the time of day (evening) or the weather…or the fact that I got stung by jellyfish in several places and made a beeline for the boat. One of the guides gave me a packet of stuff to put on the stings that really helped. I would have been so bad, but when I looked over, another boat of people all had dive skins on already and were standing in a circle. Their guide was shining a flashlight down into the water and talking to them about the starfish. I was wishing I had, been on that boat. I would say, request the dive skins to wear at Starfish Point if you can. We had really no guidance and they seemed shocked that several of us got stung. Next, we went over to Bioluminescent Bay to swim around the boat in dive skins they provided. One of the guys jumped in the water to demonstrate how moving around is what causes the cool light effect. Again, this would have been a great time to talk about what is really happening to create this phenomenon. They did offer an inflatable life vest that may have made things more enjoyable. It was hard to juggle the camera and snorkel while treading water. We got under our pontoon boat that kept the light away so we could get the most out of the experience. That was cool. The ride back was a fast one and that’s why they recommend a sweatshirt or jacket. You definitely want a jacket that will keep you dry!! We had rain jacket/wind breakers. Another dry towel would have made it perfect. So was it worth it? Meh. The moon was a 1/2 waxing gibbous, so maybe there was too much light. I don’t know. I really wanted the guys to explain more. They did hand us a card of information as we got off the boat that would have been awesome to read ON THE WAY to Starfish Point. Don’t get me wrong, they were super nice and still tipped them! I’m glad I went, but doubt I would do it again. Consequently, we drove to Starfish Point a couple of days later in the morning and saw many more starfish.
The experience was amazing, and the crew was fantastic. We did miss out on some of the sailing experience, but that was our choice. They were nice enough to pick us up at Starfish Point, which took 35 minutes off our drive from the East End. The water where the experience takes place is calm, making it easy to snorkel. If you're able to swim under the boat, the effect is magnetized due to the darkness.
We enjoyed it, the tour operators were fantastic - very patient with one member who was a very nervous non swimmer - they got in the water with her and really took care of her throughout. The starfish beach was a great addition while waiting for sun to set. You could get in the water and watch the sunset while looking for starfish (we saw about 7). People need to be mindful to not take the starfish out of the water or disturb them too much w/handholding. It was cool to see the bioluminescent organisms, sort of a once in a lifetime experience which is what prompted us to sign up. Be prepared for mosquitos, they will bite any part of you not under the water - though it was worth it. I appreciated this tour was a more affordable option than others. The boat was comfortable and safe, it had a toilet and cooler, they provided water and you could BYOB, they also provided suits to protect your from jelly fish, and snorkel gear with life vest. The staff were skilled, kind, and fun. The staff will also take photos for you. In general it's a somewhat basic tour but that is exactly what we wanted to save some money.
Different experience and lots of fun. The team was great.
The crew was very informative about Sealife. Starfish can't be above water and will die even if out of the water for a few seconds. Was a nice excursion but bring a warm sweatshirt for the ride back.
