Had a fun time, learned a few things, our guide Justin (JT) made the experience even better. He was great. The caves are really cool, lighting and presentation was good.

Syd was our guide through the caves and he made this experience absolutely amazing. We learned so much about the island and the caves all while laughing and genuinely having a great time. Syd allowed us to explore the caves at our own pace and helped us get the best pictures. Truly a must do activity!
JT was our tour guide and he was informative and fun. The caves are warm so bring water and a small fan. Bug spray was provided and I suggest you use it. The caves are beautiful but the bats in the large open cave is scary, lol. My only complaint is that if you order food during the break of your tour you don’t get your food until the end (and they don’t tell you that when you order food) and then there is absolutely no time to eat it. Because every one is done being hot and sweaty and ready to leave and they don't want to wait for you to eat your food.
My husband and I went on a tour of the caves on 10/20/2026. Our tour guide singled out my husband and I as well as the other gay couple in the group to make targeted, derogatory sexual comments about our relationship. This was halfway through the tour; because of the nature of the tour and the caves, we had to spend the rest of the tour in close proximity to this man. It made the whole experience deeply uncomfortable, and this behavior is absolutely unacceptable.
This is definitely a must do when you come to Grand Cayman. Very cool experience. Go in the morning to avoid heat. Syd is the best tour guide. Demar was a phenomenal driver. Great experience. Wear comfy shoes, breathable clothes, and bring water bottle.
Be prepared to walk a little bit. Bring some water and bug spray. The caves are warm in inside not cool like other caves
The tour was great! Guide was very helpful and informative and very cool. Terrific trip. Mosquitos were bad but that’s expected in the tropics. The caves are gorgeous and well worth seeing!
Syd Parsons was our guide and was so fun and funny! Made for a truly wonderful and educational experience! Highly recommend! They even had bug spray for us to help keep the mosquitoes away. And water!
We were so impressed by how much work and how many years it took this crew to get the caves ready for guests to see it. It’s remarkable that they were so dedicated and faithful to their vision and it has now been open for 10 years to the public so they can enjoy it. Very cool experience and worth the trip.
This is always a very unique and fun attraction - every time I bring visitors to this attraction I always try to have Mr. Syd as the tour guide. Mr. Syd is always funny, patient, extremely knowledgeable, and honestly just the essence of what being Caymanian means to me and what Cayman Kind is. Mr. Syd looks out for locals (LOVE THAT) and also takes such amazing care of the visitors. Mr. Syd is by far the most valuable person (in my opinion) working at Cayman Crystal Caves. Thank you Mr. Syd for everything today - I better see you the next time I bring more friends. <3
Great time very friendly guide
There was some confusion on the pick up point with the person who checked us in. We had to walk up and down the street until the bus driver arrived at the curb which was not a pick up area. The drive along the coast was beautiful. Once we arrived we had detailed instructions by the Lead Supervisor of the dues and don't at the caves. It was very hot and humid and the caves were worse. There were mosquitos but the business provided repellant. The caves were very interesting. We saw bats which were very cool. "DA BAD Boy" tour guide was funny and very friendly. He took us threw some short cuts because there were a lot of groups.
My family and I did the "Dusk to Dark Evening Bat Tour" which was a really unique and cool experience. They run this tour twice a week. We did a Friday evening. It included tours of two caves and ended with the bat cave where many fruit bats live, hang and fly around. The caves are very pretty and the bats were impressive. The tour ended with a candle-lit (tiki torches all over) dinner in the forest / jungle, which was surprisingly delicious! Most of us ordered the mahi entree, which was outstanding. The chef did a fantastic job on the food and presentation - better than some restaurant meals. We had delicious rum punches, salad, the meal, and dessert. It was a neat experience that I would definitely recommend! I wore light pants as there are mosquitoes in the jungle, but they also offer bug repellant throughout. But for me light pants / sleeves kept the bugs away. The staff and guides are incredibly friendly, and this was a neat thing to do in Cayman to balance out all the water sports.
Definitely worth touring caves, our guide Devin was great super knowledgeable about caves and island ,knew all about plants trees as well
My family and friends visited the Crystal Caves yesterday and were very lucky to get in. We arrived at about 4, which is their closing time. My dad asked if there were any tours still available, which we expected to receive “no” for an answer. Instead the staff kindly stayed late and permitted us to the tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. I regret to say I can’t recall his name but he did a fantastic job of showing us around the caves and explaining their history and was very kind. The caves were beautiful. I visited once before and the second time around was just as beautiful. Thank you to the staff of Crystal Caves!
This was a great experience. I enjoyed the tour from start to finish. The introduction and history from Archie was very informative and our tour guide to the three caves we saw was very helpful and friendly. The Treehouse was a beautiful structure in the woods and perfect rest spot. Local fee was not bad for entry. The tour lasted 1.5 hours and was well worth it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a different type of island experience and want to see local wildlife and greenery.
Interesting along with beautiful, if you like caves and nature. Learned a little history about the island and what vegetation not to touch. Our guide, Justin Miller, was the best.
Once you get over Archie’s drama at the introduction, it was a great tour. The guide was very knowledgeable personally and the caves very interesting. 90 minutes is perfect for the 3 caves. And do bring water and go early.
This is a quick and easy trip. About 3.5 hours start to finish. Guide was really good Cave walk was fun and easy. Great pictures
The van ride was informative and we saw a lot of the island. Nathan our guide at the caves was amazing. He was funny and very entertaining.
Was ranked #1 thing to do in Caribbean but honestly was cool, just not anywhere near #1 in my opinion
The driver was great and full of valuable information, would highly recommend him. The tour guide was also fantastic! Paying $286 for this tour isn't worth it. I highly recommend getting a car and getting an entrance ticket, which will save you about $95 per person. There was a lot of confusion with the pickup; we had to call in to make sure we were being picked up. The instructions attached to the tour were completely wrong!
Devin and the crew were super knowledgeable, funny, and accommodating. The caves themselves were beautiful and only slightly hot when we went. We got to have such a cool experience and it was way better than most cave experiences I’ve been to
Really enjoyable experience. Our private tour guide Nathan was great. Definitely a must see one Island!
These caves are truly spectacular and well worth visiting. The formations are incredible, and the site is very well protected. Visitors are only allowed to look—touching anything is strictly prohibited, and there are security staff throughout the caves to ensure the rules are respected. Be aware that there are many bats hanging from the ceilings. During our visit, one bat actually left droppings on someone’s head, so wearing a hat or hoodie isn’t a bad idea. While the risk is very low, it’s worth considering whether you’re comfortable visiting a cave with bats, and if you have any concerns about rabies or other wildlife-related health risks,
Such a beautiful and fun experience! Crystal Caves is stunning, but our guide, Nathan, really stole the show. He was super friendly, absolutely hilarious, and knew everything there was to know about the caves. Dat Boy Bad... but Dis Girl Bad too! It’s rare to find a guide who can make a tour both packed with info and genuinely funny, but Nathan nailed it. 10/10 recommend!
Awesome experience and very informative! Ace was a phenomenal tour guide and we loved her jokes and fun energy. My teen kids loved her and you can tell she has so much pride for the island. We enjoyed seeing something so unique and different. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Devon was a great tour guide! He shared a lit of personal history he has with the caves. He also pointed out a lot interesting facts! Would definitely do it again!
Was a great time the tour guide made it a great tour
We had an amazing time at Crystal Caves! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. This excursion would be great for all ages. A beautiful walk through the jungle to access three different and unique caves. Very hot, so bring water and bug spray. Highly recommend.
Chester was AWESOME! The caves were beautiful and I had an absolute blast learning about the wildlife and plants there.
Very good Excellent tour guide.
We read a lot about this attraction, but the reality lives up to the hype! Our tour guide, Ace (Anne), was TOP NOTCH in not only explaining the facts and history of the formations, but also with personal commentary reflecting the social and natural aspects surrounding the site. Her sense of humor only added to our phenomenal afternoon here…do not miss!
We came with a larger group of couples and had a great time! Annie (Ace), Nathan, Chris, Chester & Archie were great!! The caves were awesome and there’s TONS of learning opportunities and a few surprises along the way. Would recommend again!
I made a tour booking on a Sunday via their website. However I found out buses don't depart from next to the public library on a Sunday. I was shown on Gmaps to go to a location called Flow Studio. It was around a 5km walk out past the airport. Nothing there. Could not get a vacant taxi. Ended up running out of time for my 11am tour. Done my money cold. I was able to get a bus back to the correct Flow location. If you want to visit on a Sunday either book a tour online or have your accommodation book taxis for you there & return.
We had an amazing experience at Cayman Crystal Caves! The caves were absolutely stunning, and the entire tour was well organized, informative, and fun. Our guide, Nathan, made the experience even better—he was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a great sense of humor that kept everyone engaged. He shared fascinating facts about the caves, local wildlife, and the history of the area, making the tour both educational and memorable. Nathan was also very patient and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the walk. You can really tell he loves what he does. Highly recommend visiting Cayman Crystal Caves, and if you get Nathan as your guide, you’re in for an excellent experience!
Great trip to see nature in its original form… can get a bit hot and no breeze in caves in late April…
Victor the driver was amazing. And the tour guide Josh knew his rocks really well. Overall, such a great tour and you got to see really cool, natural geology.
This was a fantastic and informative tour. It is relatively new in that these caves were discovered in the late 2000's. The staff were very helpful and chock full of information as well as helpful in the exploration of these caves. I would recommend this absolutely.
1st time doing the tour since moving here and it didn't disappoint. Thank you Nathan "da boy bad" for a fab tour today.
A great trip to take if you like exploring places. You get to visit a couple caves. Although they are all similar, they vary in sizes and length. Be sure to bring water. We bought our tickets through their website. Which was easy and pretty much self explanatory. Be sure to arrive 10-20 mins early! Bring sneakers as well, you'll definitely need them. The caves are hot! So be sure to bring enough water. The groups tend to differ In size. When we went, it was a pretty big group. So we stuck to either the front or back. Sid was a great tour guide. Definitely recommend him. He was both educational and comedic. Whenever we stopped due to other groups in the caves, he gave us the usual stories and knowledge of the caves and what's around them.
Unfortunately, took longer to get there than the actual excursion lasted. Guide did not speak loud enough either. Caves were interesting, but was not as expected or accurately portrayed. For the high cost, was not worth it.
Excellent adventure. We were all so pleased. Wish the bioluminescence was more visible. The crew was full of interesting information and walked us through the whole experience. Would recommend.
We had a group of 18 from Norwegian Cruise Line. It was a good size. Syd was our guide and he was really great. You could tell that he loves the caves and enjoyed telling his stories of growing up near them and exploring them. He was funny and engaging. The caves were beautiful, the bats were wonderful and the water was crystal clear. I've gone to a lot of cave tours and this was definitely one of my favorites. Syd explained things well and gave us plenty of time to explore before we moved onto the next cave. Definitely recommend this and you should ask for Syd (Parsons) Oh and take a bottle of water and a fan, it gets muggy in those caves.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Cayman Crystal Caves. The caves are truly a natural beauty to observe. The length of the tour was just right, allowing enough time to take everything in without feeling rushed. Our guide, who I believe was Chris?, (he was involved in the discovery and excavation of the caves) really brought the experience to life. He shared the history of the caves, interesting stories, answered our many questions, offered to take photos and made the tour educational and enjoyable. We would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the area!
This was an AWFUL experience. The tour company (CAYTOURS) literally abandoned us! The driver said they would wait for us (they did not), when I called to say we needed someone to come pick us up, they flat out refused. We almost missed our cruise - kids were crying, I was crying, husband was freaking. We ended up paying $100 for a local to drive us back to our cruise ship. If we hadn't found the local driver, we would have been stranded. Viator, shame on you. You saw the other review that said, "Basically what you’re paying for is extremely expensive non-refundable transportation that may or may not come when you book it." Yet, you are still offering this. It was an absolute nightmare. I have used Viator over a dozen times and I'm not sure I can ever use this service again because of this experience.
Chris our tour guide was amazing!!! The drive there was a little crazy, but the cave experience was top notch!
Nathan was our guide and was awesome. He knew a lot about the caves and had a lot of good information and facts that he gave using humor which made it fun for everyone. The caves were beautiful and all of our group were very glad that we were able to see them. I would recommend the tour, especially with Nathan, to anyone visiting the island.
Visiting the Cayman Crystal Caves was easily one of the highlights of my time in Grand Cayman. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt well-organized and welcoming, with knowledgeable guides who were clearly passionate about the island’s natural history. The tour itself was fascinating. Walking through the lush tropical forest before entering the caves set the tone perfectly. Inside, the caves were absolutely stunning—filled with intricate stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over thousands of years. The lighting was thoughtfully done, highlighting the natural beauty without taking away from the atmosphere. Each cave had its own unique features, and our guide explained the geology and history in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. What really stood out was how immersive the experience felt. It wasn’t just about looking at rock formations—it was about learning how they formed, hearing local stories, and appreciating a side of Cayman that you don’t usually see at the beaches. The pace of the tour was comfortable, with plenty of time to take photos and ask questions. Safety was clearly a priority, and the pathways were well-maintained, making it accessible for most visitors. Overall, I would highly recommend the Cayman Crystal Caves to anyone visiting the island. It’s a unique, educational, and visually stunning experience that offers something completely different from the typical Caribbean activities.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and hilarious as he showed us around the three caves open for public excursions. He pointed out local plants and animals as well as incredible rock formations inside the caves! The price was reasonable considering it was so much fun and highly informative!! The caves are warm inside so make sure to bring water and stay hydrated, even with us being very sweaty the pictures and memories from this will forever be with my family! We had 4 people with us and the total group size was very reasonable, basically a large vans worth. Thank you to the team from the crystal caves, everyone was absolutely awesome!! Thank you so much for having us!!! - Cierra and Fam (I didn’t want to spell his name incorrectly but our tour guide was *incredible* I don’t normally include pictures of people, but I did in this case, so if he wants it removed let me know, but I wanted to highlight how much credit he should get for our experience being one of a kind!!)
