4-stop Stingray, Snorkel, Star Fish & 7 Mile Beach (Family Owned)

You do not have to search for the stingrays, they are coming and swim besides you. I guess they have been tamed and know it is feeding time when humen show up. There were so many stingrays around us, we had to avoid stepping on them. They were not crazy like seagulls, but they are certainly not shy, either. The 🤿 at 🪸 is another fantastic experience. Fishes were just passing around you and treat you just another fish. No food were scattered here. Fishes are not afraid of you, either. After finished the first 3 stops, you will be taken to a beach to relax. Our driver told us she will be picking up another group of cruise passengers so she left money to buy tickets back to cruise. She could just leave us two shuttle tickets, but she does not have. That was really nice and we stay at the beach until the storm hit the beach. As she told us, the mini-bus took us back to cruise terminal with other cruise passengers. We paid $7 each as the driver told us. All other passengers paid the tickets they purchased earlier. The whole tour truly gave us some experience we never had before. It make us want to come back to this island and explore more.

Prepare to relax and enjoy, the cre was fantastic, and the reef snorkeling was excellent. Starfish point and stingray point were a bonus.

J Wania was amazing, our family mistakenly booked incorrectly and she made it work for them to join us! All staff from beginning to end did everything to ensure a great day, which we did. Water was beautiful and the ability to touch and hold a stingray was a memory never to be forgotten!! Highly recommend!

I enjoyed the trip. The guides were excellent and very involved with the guest. The one minor issue was this was a 4 Stop trip and we didn’t get to go to 7 mile beach where I personally was looking forward to so I could get some personal pictures for myself and my birthday.

There's a reason we're a repeat customer. This is our second time doing this excursion with Rowan waters and they were beyond amazing. We did 4 stops, the first being a star fish stop, were we were instructed on how to handle them. we then went to stingray city, where we held the sting rays and fed them and took plenty of pictures with them. Our third stop was a snorkeling stop, which was truly amazing, so many fish and a few stingrays. Our final stop was at the amazing 7 mile beach, there we spent an hour before they took us back to our ship. The staff are really great people and make sure everyone is involved. They also provided us with water, sodas and snorkeling gear. I highly recommend this company

We had a great day exploring Grand Cayman. The photos that we were purchased were amazing, too. The water was rough but we still felt safe and we all enjoyed it. The only thing I that I want to say is that even though this tour states there are 4 stops we only stopped at 3 stops. We did not go to 7 mile beach (starfish, snorkeling, and Stingray City). If that is a dealbreaker for you don’t book this tour. I’m sad we didn’t get to explore the beach. Overall it was a great day!

This was a well organized tour bus driver was waiting. It’s cruise ship arrival point she took us to the boat where we met a crew of three.. the boat was clean and ready to go when we arrived. There was about 36 of us on a boat that probably seats more than We took a 15 or 20 minute ride to a reef to snorkel. The water was only eight or 9 feet deep fish were everywhere. saw a number of stingrays. We spent about 40 minutes at that stop. And then we went to the sandbar called stingray city where you could feed the stingrays and them for good luck. Final stop was the starfish beach. They were not too many starfish, but we did get to see starfish and some jellyfish on our return. Our bus had a mechanical problem. Our driver pulled over safely and called for another bus and within minutes, we were on second bus that returned us to our drop off point. They had a lot of drinks and bottled water on board. I would recommend this trip.

We were picked at our hotel. Great crew, very friendly and helpful. We spent a significant time with the sting rays feeding them and holding one of them. Starfish beach was also fun. Overall, a well organized, safe, and fun excursion. Chose this one because it was independently owned and operated with about 20 guests instead of large group. Going on a Saturday avoided the cruise ship crowd at Stingray City. I Highly recommend Rowan Watersports if you want a more personalized excursion.

Holding a stingray at Stingray City (1st stop) and a starfish at Starfish Point (an unannounced 3rd stop) were highlights of the trip. Unfortunately, it was a windy and sometimes rainy day, so the water was choppy and not conducive to good snorkeling at our second stop. There were only 14 passengers on the boat, and the crew was most helpful both in and out of the water.

Great crew and adventure! Knowledgeable staff and very friendly. They were great with our little sailor on his first boat adventure.

The Captain and his crew were so cohesive and very informative. They took the time to explain how we should handle the stingrays and star fish. The Captain also had stuffed animals of each and made some good jokes. I definitely recommend!

Up close and personal with the Sting rays. They lay in your arms and hang out on your chest amazing. Must see while on the island. Best day trip !

Wonderful excursion! We had a great time and highly recommend it. Robert Sr had wonderful stories in the shuttle ride and Robert Jr and the crew were a lot of fun to hang with. Everyone is very knowledgeable and genuinely invested in everyone having a great experience. It was wonderful to see their passion for the sea animals and the extra steps they took to make sure everyone enjoyed them without causing any harm. The boat was very clean and they had great sterilization practices which is a huge plus for me!

Our captain was great! We liked it so much we went twice on our vacation. The groups were small and Poncho was so helpful. We learned a lot!

My sister in law and I went on this tour and absolutely loved it. The guides were excellent, the stingrays were absolutely beautiful and so gentle and the group size was great. There were 12 in our group. We were able to snorkel, hold the stingrays and even went to starfish beach. We were also able to purchase photos that the guides took of us. This was one of the neatest experiences. The water was a little rough so if you have motion sickness you would definitely need to take medication. Also lots of sunscreen.

So the whole stingray experience was cool and magical. I am glad they are in their own habitat - was worried about that. They are amazing and beautiful creatures and appreciate learning about them.

Captain Marvin trip to Stingray City is a definite must do. Crew was helpful and informative throughout the trip. Would do it all again.

We were upgraded to the three stop, instead of the two stop tour. This left less time at each stop. The spot we went snorkeling was disappointing. No reef, just small outcropping of coral with very few fish. The swimming with the Stingrays was good and enhanced with the boat staff. Starfish beach was OK, again made better by the crew who went out and collected starfish for us. The boat and and crew were outstanding. The boat was not crowed like the catamarans we saw. Drinks, non alcoholic, were provided throughout. The crew was local, not corporate, and made the trip enjoyable!

Wading among beautiful stingrays in these azure waters and white sand was a fun, unique experience. Our guides were helpful and knowledgeable. We got to feed squid to a ray, which other groups didn’t get to do. The other two stops were less unique. A few minutes snorkeling along a reef was nice, but the health of the reef isn’t great. The starfish beach was a quick stopover I could have skipped. There aren’t that many sea stars to observe and they aren’t anything special. The boat is in good shape and smaller than a lot of other boats we saw around us, so we got more time with the rays than other tour groups.

Once in a lifetime experience. It was an amazing day spent with majestic tours. Our guide Carlos was very helpful and attentive. Captain Eric and Junior were also fantastic. Very up close experience with the stingray, loved every minute. The snorkelling was also amazing seen many stingrays swimming around the reef and beautiful and brightly coloured fish. Ended with a prompt bus journey back to port with an informative driver who explained everything about Bridgetown. Just loved it!

This was an amazing experience and my whole family will be remembering this trip for a very long time! Captain Marvin Watersports - Our captain, Aster and first mate, Alejandro were the perfect tour guides. Alejandro enjoyed sharing this experience with everyone on the boat and you can tell how much He and Aster love their jobs. We loved the stingray (with 2 stops) so much we went back for another excursion (the Bioluminescence, another great experience). We all enjoyed ourselves so much from the minute we stepped on the boat until we got off, and we're still raving about it. Thank you.

The experience was with The stingrays not only just holding them but snorkeling down and looking and following them around the bottom. Snorkeling at the coral reef was extremely good the crew was extremely helpful the photographs were good and it was entertaining on the way back many drinks

I would have given this tour 5.stars except for two things: 1) For my cruise stop in the Cayman Islands I signed up for the Stingray City Experience from Grand Cayman (2-Stops Adventure) that was supposed to take 2-3 hours and go to Stingray City and Coral Gardens. What I got was a 3-stop tour that included the totally underwhelming Starfish Beach and took over 4 1/2 hours. To be clear, the two stops I signed up for (Stingray City and Coral Gardens) were wonderful but the addition of the 3rd stop made the tour much longer than I had planned for, made me and my fellow cruisers on the tour nervous about getting back to the ship in time, and made my husband who remained on the ship very worried about whether something had happened to me since I was gone much longer than I had told him I’d be. 2) The second thing that brought my rating down was that they didn’t take the Covid precautions that their website said they did. First, there were no temperature checks of tour participants. Second, I would consider the shuttle bus to the dock a public area but the shuttle driver and my family were the only ones wearing masks despite the website saying face masks were required for travelers in public areas. Third, jamming people into every available inch of space on the shuttle isn’t enforcing social distancing, as the website claims they will do.

An incredible experience with the stingrays, and the hosts were absolutely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and made it an unforgettable memorable day!! Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Cayman Island!!

Super cool experience, awesome staff. Local family business very friendly. Visited 3 locations that included stingrays, starfish, and lobsters. Beautiful attraction for all ages.

Stingray city is the must do on the Cayman Islands. We always Use Capt. Marvin Watersports for our excursions. They are always very organized and have a friendly staff that will share a lot of information with you.

These guys are locals and treat everyone like family!!! Really liked that they till good care of us and encouraged us to participate as much as we felt comfortable. Willing to take photos for us, help us feed the sting rays and find fish fire is to look at!!!

Robert Jr. is an awesome captain. This is a local-owned, family run tour business that does a great job. Boat crew is kind and family-friendly.

Very well organized. The crew was fantastic. It felt almost like a private excursion. Much less than the cruise ship excursions and we felt like me received a better tour.

Had a great time and met nice people. Crew were friendly and knowlegable. Starfish point seems a little over used and given the limited starfish people should be restricted from handling them.

We had A great time at stingray city. Staff on board was very pleasant and appealing with our tips and regulations. I highly recommended, to anyone who can or cannot swim, they will guide you throughout the process. It’s good to experience the adventures of the stopped..

One of the best experiences, I swim with manatees for my job and this was a top of the line eco-tour! The guides were relaxed and funny while still assertive and directing of their clients. I actually loved it so much I wanted to apply!!!!!!! I do wish the tours were slightly smaller for more time with the rays but other then that 5 stars from me!

What a great experience. The guide let us hold, feed and kiss the sting ray. I highly recommend this excursion, it was definitely a must see in Grand Cayman

The weather was bad (seas very rough) but the crew did everything possible to make it fun. I would recommend it!

Highly recommended! Great boat crew, knowledgeable, helpful. They even offered us transfer back to our Airbnb after the tour, even though we stayed outside of the area they normally offer pick up.

Great excursion with 3 stops. Wasn’t expecting starfish beach but that was a nice surprise! The crew was extremely helpful and reliable and made for a wonderful experience. The water was a little rough but overall it was a fantastic experience and great day in the Caymans.

We experienced Stingray City and Starfish Point. Both were great experiences. The crew was wonderful and entertaining-especially Beecher. Go do this tour, you won’t regret it.

In consideration of time if you are on a cruise, you will be taking a smaller boat to the port. Thus, you want to be one of the first one to aboard these small boats. It was very easy to find the tour guide post. We came thru the south terminal but the tour post is located in the north terminal which is about a 4 min walk between each other. There is free guest WiFi there. Then, we took a 30 min drive to the boat dock. Then, we took another 30 min boat ride to the sand bar. The sand bar was pretty deep (I am 5’2). If your boat has life vests, I would recommend putting it on once you get in the water to stay afloat to get a nice photo above water lol. There were many boats parked and many people with the string rays. The current was moderately strong so the life vest helps. You have more than enough time to take a picture with a string ray, swim, and enjoy the water. There were many stingrays. We booked the 09:00AM tour and had enough time to return to the port to go to the gift shop and margaritaville. So as far as making it back on time you should be fine. I believe we got back around noon and our cruise departed at 03:30PM. Overall, for the price we paid and the experience it was well worth it. Reminder: Cash tip for the tour and separate tip for the bus driver that takes you to the boat dock (they have signs that say $1 tip is appreciated.)

The bus ride from Royal Walter to the boat was great. The captain and his crew were super knowledgeable and took great care of us.

I only paid 40 per person, stopped at stingray city, snorkel area and starfish beach same as every tour, so don’t pay for others charging more!! Amazingly beautiful waters and such cool creatures. Photos are pricey but they come out good so it’s worth it. Best day of our vacation, definitely do it!

The excursion itself was amazing. Our providers/hosts were nice, but not engaging at all. This is why I gave it 3 stars

My husband and I did this tour and it met our expectations and more. The shuttle came and picked us up promptly. It takes about 45 minutes in a boat to get out to the destinations but it is well worth it. If you are staying at a resort in the Cayman Islands, try to check cruise schedule for when the ships aren't coming in. That's what we did and there wasn't nearly as big of a crowd at Stingray City as I expected. It was so much fun and the crew of the boat were so nice, informative and took great pictures that we will be able to look back on and remember such a fun experience! I feel like for the price we got to do a lot! Make sure to bring extra cash to tip the crew. They do take credit cards for pictures which was nice. Also a side note, I am 6 months pregnant and was fine doing this excursion. One of the crew members was kind enough to make sure I was helped getting on and off of the boat.

We were told they would pick us up at cruise ship like they do at hotels. They weer not at our cruise ship and when we got off we had to search for them. They were under a tent at another dock. There were tons of outfits selling the same exact excursion on the dock we were at and others just there to retrieve people that had booked. Our reservation from them said 11:30 departure. When we got there they said noon departure. They were clearly waiting for other ships to come in. We did not leave until 12:15. You get on a bus to go to boat. The boat was much smaller than the others we saw at the same site. This mattered because the seas were rough and we got jostled around a lot more than friends that took the cruise ship version. The crew tried really hard to make this work well. One guy took pictures which he sold afterward for $40. They were great pictures and were worth buying. He transferred directly to iPhone. He could of emailed them as well. The day we went it was windy and seas rough. I have been at this site before on a calm day and it was an incredible experience. I would choose another outfit. Rowan Water Sports is clearly not the best of them.

We had an excellent time on the Stingray City Experience. Our crew members were friendly, helpful and professional. They provided good information and all three stops were enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this experience!
