Our original boat was down but they provided a nice substitute. The seating was comfortable with good shade. The top deck was great to relax and get sun. Cold water and fruit punch were available. If you are staying in East End there is no pickup and getting to Safehaven Harbour is a bit stressful with all the confusing roundabouts and driving on the left! Starfish Beach was nice as it is near Rum Point. The snorkelling garden stop was fun albeit nothing dramatic. The highlight was Stingray City. It was crowded with many other boats but that actually made it more fun. Our guide even massaged our backs with the soft skin of a stingray! Who needs to pay $100 for a massage when you can get a free stingray massage!

First, we will leave the Marina and head out into the North Sound on a 30-minute trip to our 1st stop the Coral Garden/Barrier Reef. Once arrived, we will gear you up with a mask, snorkel and fins if requested and then you can get in the refreshing water to view the tropical fish, stingrays and amazing Coral.
After boarding the boat, we will head towards our next stop which is about 10 minutes away. Grand Cayman's famous Stingray City Sandbar is definitely something to check off your bucket list. Climb down onto the sandbar surrounded by dozens of beautiful and majestic stingrays.
After we leave stingray city we will head to towards our last stop which is about 12 minutes away. You will walk around the beautiful Caribbean waters and admire the amazing orange starfish, take pictures, and relax on the beach. Once we board the boat one last time we will head back to the Marina a 30-minute boat ride.

The overall experience was pretty great. We really struggled to find the meeting point since it was inside of the port and not on the outside of it like the gps point was. Also, the day before, they sent me a text that if I wanted, i could participate in the 9am excursion instead of the 10h30 to have more time and to be sure to be back on my cruise in time. I really enjoyed this proposition. I would say that the starfish point isn’t necessarily worth it if you’ve already seen a starfish before ( like when snorkling) but everything else was really great. It also was raining on the day of the excursion but the crew still made the experience special. I would recommend !
I was apprehensive at the start as it was raining and there was lightning in the distance as we boarded the boat. As we headed out towards our first stop, I was questioning my life choices as the rain stung us and we were thoroughly wet within minutes. And then we anchored at Stingray City. It was still raining but the water was warm. The stingrays were terrifying and awesome in equal measure. We touched them and got stingray massages and some of the bravest amongst us fed them squid. Their stings command a healthy respect but I did not feel unsafe. The second stop was where we snorkelled over the reef. What an experience! Again, warm water. It was still raining but that didn’t matter as we saw such interesting creatures including a sleeping stingray. I was the last back in the boat but was not rushed at all. Our third stop was Starfish Point. These creature are very interesting in that they are quite firm, eat by opening a few section on their underside and have no blood. Much like a lizard they are capable of regenerating parts of themselves if they are injured. We swam around here for a while and then climbed back up the ladder into the boat to head back. Our tour time was brought earlier due to the weather and to consolidate those booked at various tour times into one group. This meant that we were back by lunch time and had a tour group of 12! With a boat that can take up to 80 passengers, we basically had a VIP experience. I am so pleased that I decided to see the tour through as we were the only boat out on the water at each stop and we had a great time.
We had a great time on this tour snorkeling, visiting the stingrays, and going to starfish point. Our tour guides were kind and easy to communicate with. The boat ride was beautiful and fun!
Amazing experience from start to finish! The boat was beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed for the trip. The entire staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Stingray City, snorkeling the reef, and Starfish Point were all incredible experiences. We never felt rushed and had an awesome time throughout the entire tour. If you’re visiting the Cayman Islands and looking for a great boat tour, I highly recommend Aquarius Sea Tours. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a great experience! Guides were very informative and fun. I especially love that they respect the ocean and marine life.
They cancelled our trip 20 minutes before we were supposed to leave. This happened the day before we were scheduled to leave to go home. Very disappointing
We had a great time with this company. Everyone on the boat had a great time. The crew was very knowledgeable and friendly and even helped those of us that were a little nervous with the stingrays. Definitely would recommend booking this excursion.
Crew was alright and trip was ok. The best part of the trip was the third stop. At Sting Ray City they take pictures of you and try to charge you crazy amounts to get them, so be prepared for this. Personally, I did not like the way the crew treated me.
Awesome experience! A must do for first time visitors to Grand Cayman. The crew was competent and friendly. Snorkeling was great. We saw turtles, starfish, stingrays and lots of colorful fish. My wife even got to kiss a stingray! This trip is money well spent.
A great day in the water and a great experience all day long. Crew was nice and didn’t rush us and the boat was not packed like others. We enjoyed every minute. A must do
The Cayman Islands were amazing! The water was perfectly clear and the snorkeling was some of the best we have ever had. The crew was welcoming and kind. They were especially helpful during snorkeling, guiding us, feeding the fish, and keeping us safe. Stingray City was the highlight for sure. The crew provided us with our own personal experience with the stingrays. They were very knowledgeable. I wasn't a fan of starfish point, but that was no fault of the crew. Overall, the crew made the trip amazing. The boat needs some work, but they made sure the actual excursion wasn’t crowded, only taking out half of what the boat would actually hold. I was super thankful for that. The other boats seemed to be super crowded. All in all, the excursion was nice. I am glad it was a Catamaran, which is hard to come by unless you do a private guided boat tour. I would definitely do it again.
Captain Marvin’s crew (Rollie, our captain; Jayden the 1st Mate & Marcella, our photographer) were all amazing!!! They run a tight ship and made sure we were well prepared!
Acquarius Sea Tours provided us a great experience on the open water during our stay at Grand Cayman Island. With less than ideal windy conditions, the crew made the best out of the day and we still saw starfish, stingrays, and lots of fish. My family and I had a blast. Hats off to the Buccaneer and crew!!!
It was such an amazing experience! We loved seeing the stingrays, fish and starfish! Jason and Junior did an incredible job and we would definitely do it again!
This was such an amazing experience! From a girls trip to a solo trip or even family friendly. The weather was beautiful
This was a good and fun experience! The crew was very patient, as we had some elderly on our boat. Even though it was a bit windy, the captain took it slow and I didn't feel motion sickness at all! It was a very pleasant ride. All three adventures were fabulous, kissing the stingrays, holding the starfish, and snorkeling! I highly recommend!
Arrived at Cayman via cruise and booked this on my own. I'm very happy with the company and crew. They are well organized which maximizes fun while visiting Cayman. It was nice they were able to accommodate a family with an elderly member. They provided assistance to her without impacting others on the tour. Fun for everyone!
It was a much nicer boat than we had been on several years back (though a cruise ship). It was easy to meet up right off our ship tender.
Pickup was easy at the cruise terminal. Nice ride to the location the boat set out from. Captain and crew made the sail enjoyable. Never thought I’d be that close to a sting ray. We had a little weather that dampened the experience a little but overall was a great time
Awesome crew on the Buccaneer- thank you to Captain Jason, Poncho and JJ for showing us a great time and for teaching us about the island and wildlife!
The snorkeling was pretty good (they did feed the fish to attract them to us) - we saw a variety of smaller fish, a stingray and a turtle. Stingray City was very cool but also very crowded - we were able to hold a stingray, and many were swimming around us. The guides were very knowledgeable and were careful in handling the stingrays. Starfish Point was just average.
This is the second year in a row to go with Acquarius tours to do the 3 stop tour of Stingray City and Starfish point. We loved it so much last year, we decided to take our friends this year. The tour was well organised and Pancho, Junior, Deondra and the rest of the friendly staff onboard the Buccaneer looked after us even though the water was a bit choppy that day. There was around 25 people onboard, which was perfect as you could move around the boat without it feeling crowded. Light refreshments are also included in the price. We had some brilliant photos taken which were sent to our email address but looked a bit blurry on the email. A WhatsApp message was sent and the company sorted it right away, sending them to my phone. Great service and highly recommend. Thank you Darren & Rhonda!
The snorkeling and stingray stops are amazing!!! The starfish stop I didn’t even think was worth the time spend heading that way. There were only like 5-10 starfish and really not much else to see
Brilliant excursion on the Catamaran Buccaneer with the very friendly & experienced Acquarius guys lots of space uncrowded like a lot of the other vessels we saw. We were offered water or soft drinks First stop we snorkeled in the beautiful clear blue waters & saw lots of fish before sailing to Stingray City where we saw large Stingrays that we could get close to, feed & touch (safely held & cared for by a member of the crew) Final stop was Starfish point where we learnt about the Starfish & were able to hold them again taking great care to ensure they were not endangered. A wonderful experience can definitely recommend
The tour was absolutely fabulous , the crew was very knowledgable and informative. The time spent at stingray city will be remembered forever.
Any one would enjoy this experience with the stingrays, the crew were great explaining the stingrays and were active with everyone
Attentive crew! Captain made sure we got a gap with the stingrays. I was travelling with three kids - 1, 5 and 8, so we really appreciate the extra support. They made sure we had lifevests for the kids to enjoy the experience safely.
This was our second trip on the Buccaneer catamaran; we did the same excursion last year. It is worth paying a little extra to be in a smaller group on an open boat with a smooth ride. The crew is great and expert with the stingrays. We fed (once per person), took pictures and kissed them! He also put the (they grab a big one and hold onto it for everyone... the stingray doesn't seem to mind) stingray on stomachs and backs for pictures. This was my third time out to Stingray City so I spent more time looking in the water than listening, but he gave an informative talk on the stingrays too. I brought my own snorkeling gear for myself, but the equipment they had was good too. Snorkeling in the Coral Garden is nice. There aren't the fields of dead/bleached coral common elsewhere. Frankly I could do without Starfish Point and would rather double the snorkeling, but there were some nice starfish if you're into holding them and it makes for a nice ride back to the dock. They provided water and soda, though the soda options were weak (sketchy brand orange and grape soda) and no diet options. Meet up is a little stressful with tendering from a cruise ship. This time they were easy to find in the main tent. The meeting time is strict (and they wanted to leave 20 minutes earlier). Make sure you have cellphone service to text and secure and early tender ticket if you book an early tour!
Unfortunately I did not get to go on the tour due to inclement weather but the communication was good and they refunded me right away.
Rented a private catamaran (Buccaneer) for an afternoon and sunset experience for our family. Owner assured us of several stops which were to include 8 different aquatic adventures. See attached photo of our itinerary as they were only able to squeeze in three. We were first taken to a prearranged lunch at Rum Point which was to last 1 hour. 2 hours later the boat finally came back for us despite calling the owner multiple times and being assured he would get back to us, which he didn’t. The captain and mate were excellent and seemingly embarrassed by the scheduling that the owner had done which clearly forced them to juggle two charters at once. The owner later blamed his crew by the way. Upon our return we tried to have a rational conversation with the owner about making things right but the options offered did not work for our family as it was a group excursion at 9am, vastly different from a private charter, so we requested a refund of our deposit only. He became irate, got in my face and then stormed off to his vehicle like a child and drove off. As an aside, the vessel was a real beater, no netting up front to sit on and view the water below as you see on most catamaran tours, and not a single cushion to sit on. I would recommend the crew, but the owner needs to grow up and take responsibility when he does not deliver what’s promised. A total letdown and awful experience to have on vacation.
They were great. Let us know weather was going to be a little windy later in the week and moved us up a couple of days so our experience would be better. All had a great time!
This was a great experience. Acquarius Stingray city and snorkel tour was the best!! It was our first stingray tour and it did not disappoint. The crew was very friendly and professional. They made sure everyone got a kiss from the stingray and photos. I would absolutely book with them again.
Being a born and raised Caymanian, I've been to Stingray City Sandbar, Snorkeling and Starfish point countless times with different companies, and I can say with absolute certainty that the tour with Acquarius Sea Tours on board of the Buccaneer, was excellent. The crew was polite, helpful and very professional. I went with some visiting friends from England, and everybody loved it! I highly recommend this company and this tour. - Gina
This was one of the best excursions we have ever done. The staff on the boat was wonderful and the experience with the stingrays was incredible. The staff made sure we had a wonderful experience with the stingrays but also exercised caution. We never once felt scared. The sandbar and water was some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. 10 out of 10!
Jake and Alex were amazing. Worked hard to get us from point a to point b and back. Fun time to be had
Crew was incredible, helpful and fun to talk with. We had the chance to see and touch starfish and stingray. Our guide were always available to make us at ease in the water. We recommend it.
Snorkeling for Conch? Be informed of Conch Season and whether you can bring up live conch. Check the weather and sea conditions. Ours were choppy with strong current. Snorkeling was difficult. Time snorkeling is only 15 minutes
Great experience for the whole family. We were picked up at our accommodations on time. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had three stops coral Garden, Stingray City and Starfish Cove. We had plenty of time at each.
While we didn't get to sail on a catamaran as mentioned in the details, the experience was fun with a great engaging staff. The snorkeling at the Coral gardens allowed us to see many fish and stingrays before heading off to stingray city. The captain and crew took the time for our entire boat to hold and kiss a stingray. The final stop at starfish beach was short but the pirate food boat was delicious (bring cash). Overall, despite the catamaran (main reason for booking) not being available, we did enjoy the entire trip and the crew were fun and engaging.
Swimming with stingrays and touching starfish was an absolutely phenomenal experience! The boat crew was top-notch from start to finish and made the entire adventure truly unforgettable. I had purchased the stingray photos, which were airdropped to my phone during the excursion. Unfortunately, my phone was water-damaged shortly afterward, and the photos were lost — devastating, to say the least. A few days after returning home, I reached out to Acquarius to explain the situation. I wasn’t feeling very hopeful, since I knew there was a chance the photos were gone for good. However, the team was incredibly helpful and transparent. They let me know that photos are typically only kept for 48 hours, but they would reach out to the boat crew and see what they could do. To my surprise and delight, I received an email with all my photos the very next day! I'm so grateful to the team for going above and beyond. I highly recommend this company for your next adventure — they truly care about their guests and deliver exceptional service.
This was one of my most memorable experiences. They boat was perfect for couples, families or if you want to go out as an individual. Jason and Dillion were extremely informative and a wealth of knowledge. They were so kind and accommodating to everyone on the tour. I never thought that I would swim let alone hold a stingray. This is a must tour if you are in the area.. Thank you Aquarius Tours. I will definately be back.
This was a fun, comprehensive adventure aboard the catamarn Buccaneer with Captain Jason and First Mate Dylan (Dillon?) - we met Stingrays, Starfish, and did some easy, comfortable snorkeling. There was a little bit of jockeying for position at Stingray City as many Captains worked to safely fit as many craft as possible into a relatively limited space without fouling anchor lines or running into one-another.
Boat was clean and spacious. Captain and crew were knowledgeable and the trip was the perfect length of time in the Cayman sun. I highly recommend this beautiful tour!
The host Derren and his wife Rhonda and the entire crew were super nice people. The crew was very friendly, professional and informative. We had 3 hours on board the Buccaneers and we visited Stingray city, Coral Garden (we snorkeled in the heart which was lovingly) then we head over to starfish point. I would definitely recommend this trip to visitors and local it is worthwhile. Cheers to the Buccaneers Crew!!
Great boat and staff, super informative and polite. The boat was spot less and they had plenty of water and other refreshments. They gave us tips at each stop and interacted perfectly with everyone on board.
While visiting our daughter, she booked us on this tour as it was recommended by a friend. We were so glad she booked this trip because we all had a brilliant time! The crew were knowledgeable and friendly, the boat was spacious and left on time and the snorkelling and visits to stingray city and starfish point were so memorable. We are visiting the island with friends next year and will definitely book again.
Great fun on the water! Tour ran right on schedule. The highlight was seeing the stingrays and starfish up class. The friendly crew and passengers made is a great time. Highly recommend!
Booked this tour because it is a Catamaran out to Stingray City. We got off the cruise ship and found the white tent for Acquarius. They immediately handed us off to another generic boat, about $100 cheaper, and not offering any reimbursement. They said we were the only people to sign up for their tour, so they were giving us an equivalent tour. Finally got on the phone with the owner and he issued a refund. We walked to another tent and took the generic tour for $100 cheaper. If you like the idea of a Catamaran, skip this place. You'll just get pawned off on a crappy boat. It's in their agreement that they are allowed to do it and not issue a refund.
The last time I have toured with this company, they offered smaller groups and they also took your picture and were very organized. I recently toured with them again and brought friends this time. To my disappointment, they were very disorganized with no safety briefing prior to getting in the water and now they charge you $40 to take your picture. It’s like when you go to a good restaurant and your hopes are high and the next time the restaurant disappoints.
