Partially reopen Sunshine Suites is now partially open, with one of our beautifully renovated building ready to host guests! While our second building, restaurant and pool are still being completed, our guests continue to enjoy full access to our sister property on Seven Mile Beach, The Westin Grand Cayman just a 4-minute walk away, including beach, pool and all resort amenities.
Incredible value and service. I broke my toe while at the Westin and the Westin wasn’t helpful at all helping me get treatment or get home but the Sunshine came through. They sent a car to drive me across the street. I really appreciate their kindness. The hotel in general was also awesome — incredibly clean with a great restaurant on site. I would absolutely stay here again
Our first time here. Great location, newly renovated suite which was well thought out, other than one thing - the shower head! Our stay was great. Sunshine grill food is really fantastic, staff is great in the hotel. The ability to use the Weston amenities is very important, we enjoyed the beach, and the beautiful lobby there. We checked out a room there and were surprised to hear they dont have queen beds.. only doubles and King. Vey happy with our choice at Sunshine. Hope it stays the same! May be with a hand held shower head upgrade 😊
One of the most comfortable and exceptional resorts in Grand Caymans! Half the price of the Westin but with all the amenities you can take advantage of there (free access to the Westin Pool, Beach, Bar, Restaurants, etc). The rooms at Sunshine are huge, with a kitchenette (nice size fridge, sink, coffee maker, glasses, etc). Newly remodeled, this resort is a must stay. The staff is super friendly, the pool is delightful and the food at Sunshine Grill is exceptional!!! Met the chef Nadiene who is just as wonderful as his food. If coming from the GCM airport, just get a taxi (approx $30) to the resort. If need an ATM, you’ll have to go outside the airport to one of the local towns. But the taxis take US$, so that is helpful. When visiting the Grand Caymans, highly recommend Sunshine Hotel & Suites. Tell the Deb (Sunnie!) sent you!
While a touch off the beach, it’s not a far walk to sandy shores. The hotel itself is recently remodeled in a contemporary style and is really charming. Staff are all kind and friendly, especially Ella, who helped me with a late checkout and taxis when my flight departed a couple hours later. The hotel is easy walking distance to many incredible restaurants, or a short cab away for slightly further ventures. I truly felt welcomed here, and it’s a great price per value stay along 7-mile beach.
My family absolutely loved our stay at the Sunshine Hotel and Suites. Our room was clean and well taken care of, with a comfy sofa couch for the kids, kitchenette, and king bed for the parents. Loads of room for everyone to do their own thing. Location-wise, it is just across the road from The Westin - where you can use their amenities at any time. It is also very close to a store that sells alcohol, a mini mart, sushi restaurant, and Eats Cafe - great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's also walking distance to a few food trucks and stores if you needed anything for your trip. Definitely worth the stay!
