Sierra Nevada Tour (Granada)

Julio was a wonderful guide! He took us in his car since it was just 2 of us. The views were amazing and his knowledge of the area was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time going up into the Sierra Nevada mountains with Julio. The scenery was spectacular, he was a very pleasant guide and a careful driver on the winding mountain roads.

We felt we were being driven very safely on the twisting mountain roads, which was an important consideration! We had incredibly impressive views, and took two or three easy strolls. We saw a booted eagle, a mountain goat, a lizard and many wild flowers. We were sent some very good photos afterwards.

My mom and I had so much fun!!! Julio was just amazing. He was a great driver, accommodating, and had snacks and water for us. He was extremely knowledgeable and knew the best places to go. Could not recommend this more. I would consider this a light hike - you drive for a bit, stop, walk around, sightsee, and continue on. But, there’s also lots of room for adventure! It was a perfect mix.

Excellent 4 hour trip. Julios was very informative, it was just enough to see the amazing views of the Nevada. Great for anyone with mobility issues as very little walking.

I think just ensure warm clothes as will be outside high in the mountains. It is very beautiful so totally worth it.

Great break from the city. Julio was an excellent host and very informative. We had the van to ourselves due to most tourists returning home to get kids to school. Julio's willingness to take only two people for the entire trip speaks well for his dedication and character. Well done. Highly recommend for the natural beauty and grandeur of the original Sierra Madre.

We as a family with young children enjoyed this tour very much. We got to see the Sierra Nevada at different stops with beautifull views and a little walk.

This was our favorite activity in Spain. Everyone tells you to visit the Alhambra when you go to Granada, but you’re really missing out if you skip the Sierras. Julio was a great guide, knowledgeable, easygoing, and clearly loves the area. He took us to some beautiful spots, and we were lucky enough to see snow on the peak and mountain goats along the way. Afterward, we wished we’d booked his other tour to Monachil too. It was such a great way to get out of the city and see the incredible natural landscape around Granada.

Julio was a great guide, such a friendly person who knows a lot about the surroundings. We did a snow shoe tour which meant a lot of fun. The tour was easy. The mountains are amazing.

Amazing views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Julio is an excellent guide, who took us to several different view points and gave us the history of the area. This hike is a comfortable hike, and the views from the peak (second highest in the area) are breathtaking. We also saw lots of mountain goats! We definitely recommend this hike to anyone that wants to see the beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

It was an amazing afternoon tour, Julio was kind and well prepared with all the information regarding the Sierra Nevada location. We managed to see some animals on the way to the top. And the views were breathtaking. Definitely I recommend to take this tour .

Pickup time was perfect, we met in the city. The guide was a very nice and ready to help. He’s very informed about the trritory at the Nation Park and you can sense that he is very passionate about it. The tour was nice, the drive very good and it was very pleasant. We had a truly amazing time this afternoon doing this. Can totally recommend. We were picked up in Granada and then taken up the mountain up to Sierra Nevada. We were given snow shoes and hiked up the mountain and then back down again. We were never rushed and the guide (Julio) allowed us to stop and take photographs as much as we liked. 10/10.

It was great to enjoy the beautiful landscapes in the Sierra Nevada and to be able to enjoy the slopes. Julio was very accommodating with our family of 4, and gave us choices of what to do. We chose the slopes on sleds. It is a 4 hour tour. 50 minutes going up and 50 coming down and the rest you do the activity. We had to take a train early afternoon and Julio monitored the time closely. Julio also took pictures of us with a good quality camera and sent them to us afterwards. This trip is a great choice as a family. A lot of fun.

Absolutly amazing day trip to do! The guide is really nice! The views are incredible and the hike is easy to walk! A must do! Pick up at 9.30, back in Granada around 2. Feels like a whole day.

Our trip to the Sierra Nevada was very memorable thanks to Julio’s interesting facts and beautiful photographs. The views from the top of the mountain is really spectacular, especially with the snow covering everything in white. This trip is very good value for money and I highly recommend it to everyone.

A great tour! Even thought we couldn’t hike because of the snow, the guide made the effort to make it an enjoyable trip! The views are amazing!!!

Our guide, Julio was so nice and friendly. His English was fine. It was a long trip, at least 4 hours. The hike was about 4.5 miles and though not treacherous, it was challenging in parts and that was great! We’re athletic so we would not have minded even more hills. The wind would be a factor on other days, but our temps were perfect late summer. Bring a windbreaker for sure! And use the poles he offers...both of them! In early fall, the colors and terrain aren’t very vibrant in Sierra Nevada. But we enjoyed beautiful vistas!

Nice trip together with son from 10 years to 2500 meters altitude. Along the way had good explanation from Julio and beautiful views seen.

Our tour with Julio was very pleasant. Although it was very cold and we were the only two people on the tour, we went into the mountains. We loved the viewpoints. We even saw wild horses. Julio gave us information about the area. My friend really liked stones, to which Julio responded with a cabin.

Very nice and beautiful experience. Fine guide also who knew how to tell everything but also left the space for us to just look around. Also made a nice little walk. Was also cozy with the 2 other couples who went along. Wild horses and ibex seen! Thank you Julio!

We really enjoyed the tour. We were greeted punctually and friendly and drove straight to Sierra Nevada, where we had several stops, each with a breathtaking view. Our tour guide was very interested and even took photos of us with a professional camera. Overall, we can highly recommend the tour!

We did the Cahorro route, very beautiful, after an initial uphill part we went back down through a sort of small tunnel in the rock, suspended bridges and small spaces along the river, but all very doable. The people who accompanied us were really nice, kind and expert. I recommend anyone to do this beautiful route, suitable for families, about 2 and a half hours with small breaks (perhaps not suitable for too young children).. wonderful experience

Fantastic views with the guide Julio always attentive and explaining everything with details. Sierra Nevada is a wonder to visit and enjoy its natural beauty. I recommend hiking shoes or trekking tennis shoes to make walking more comfortable and also drink plenty of water. I live in Brazil and we have to recognize that Sierra Nevada and its mountain environment is one of the wonders of the world! Angel Mellado

Beautiful nature and mountain views, friendly guide who also took pictures during the hike.

It was the best activity we have done for Granada. A great treatment by Julio, he explained curiosities and worried that the hiking is the most perfect, besides he has been taking photos to immortalize the moment. We have spent a great morning hiking through beautiful parts of the Cahorros de Monachil and ending up having a fresh drink in a restaurant to recover energy. I definitely recommend!!
