Really enjoyed this tour! Jamie's a skilled driver and had interesting insights to share about the area etc. The various viewpoints were gorgeous and we also saw some wild goats (ibex) and wild horses! :-)

We had a great day. Carlos was an enthusiastic and informative guide and took us through some beautiful areas we would never have got to on our own. Highly recommended.
Carlos was a fantastic guide. He was knowledgeable and engaging. He shared his expertise on the history, culture and geography of the region. The views were stunning. A highly recommended tour.
An excellent day. We travelled up the Sierra Nevada through private land. Carlos was wonderful and knowledgeable. We stopped a number of times to be shown trees, plants and the story about these mountains. A most enjoyable day and thoroughly recommended.
Carlos was an exceptional tour guide who made this tour one of the best in our trip to Spain. He was very knowledgeable, not only about the mountains but also about the history of the area, its inhabitants and the flora and fauna. My wife and I were by far the oldest in the tour group and he made a special effort to accommodate our limitations. Terrific day
This was an amazing experience from start to finish, Carlos our guide was great and so knowledgeable about the area. The views going up and at the top of the mountains were breathtaking. This trip is a must when visiting Granada.
I had a really great time on this tour. I joined solo and the guide, Jayme, made sure everyone was part of the group. Jayme, our driver and guide, has a lot of knowledge explaining all the flora we see, tasting them, smelling, all senses were used. He knows about the topography, history, just everything and he explains it in a fun way that makes you want to listen. He is also a great photographer. Last part of the tour was in this resto and the food was good and affordable! I had a great experience and one of my highlights for my Granada vacation.
We had an amazing day touring the Sierra Nevada mountains with Jaime. He's very knowledgeable on the local history, flora, fauna and geological aspects of the area. His driving is also top notch. He also helped us pick out the best things on the restaurant menu at 2500m altitude. If you're not up for hours of hiking but still want to see this beautiful area, this tour is the way to go.
An incredible way to see the Sierra Nevada. Our guide was knowledgeable about plants, history, rocks, everything we passed. His love for the region comes through. He clearly lives meeting new people and sharing his live for the region.
guide was very friendly and outgoing. my husband, who has extensive knowledge of geology noted he made some errors in his statements, but it wasn't anything major.
The tour guide, Vulture, was very timely starting our tour and even waited 5 minutes on the last passenger to arrive. The guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about every part of the mountains. Learning about the cave dwellings, reservoirs, and different rock types was very educational and entertaining. Vulture explained about water that was good to drink and why VS creek water that would make you very sick. He also explained about the pine tree removal and reintroduction. We were taught about the absence of certain wild animals, wolves, foxes.
Carlos is a legend! Loves Sierra Nevada and that makes this tour so good. A fantastic day seeing and learning about the history and flora and fauna diversity or Sierra Nevada, whilst having a great chat and experiencing fantastic views.
We originally booked the sunset tour but it had to be cancelled because of a storm, which was a good decision. Fortunately there was room for us on the daytime excursion and we are so pleased there was as it was a lovely tour of the Sierra Nevada with some excellent driving, guidance and information from Carlos. We relaxed and enjoyed a drink after some walking but there is an option to do further walking for around an hour to a point of interest in the opposite direction but we were very happy taking in the scenery.
Excellent trip in a cool off road mini bus.Mudre had vast knowledge of the area and we had plenty of time for stops and to admire the vastness of the Sierra Nevada mountains. An unforgettable day. Many thanks
We had a great time. The 4x4 van was comfortable. Our guide was very friendly and informative. We saw some ibex and enjoyed the scenic viewpoints we stopped at, as well as the food from the restaurant at the end of the trip.
Easy to book. James was a great and pleasant guide.
What a brilliant day. Scenery was absolutely amazing and our guide so helpful and informative. A ‘must do’ trip for anyone coming to Granada.
What an amazing experience! Our guide ,Jaimie, was so knowledgeable and great fun to be with. The views from the Sierra Nevada were spectacular and the sunsets unreal. I would recommended this trip to everyone.
This was a really fun and educational tour! We got some gorgeous pictures as we explored Granada's landscape. Our guide, Buitre, was fantastic! He explained the history of Granada and was so much fun to spend time with.
This was a lovely day. Our guide Jamie with an h was very helpful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. With just 6 other people on our comfortable 4WD we enjoyed a real off road experience through steep canyons and winding tracks up to the beautiful snowfields. We went for walks to great scenic spots and took stunning photos. Our guide was able to inform us of the history, geology, and biodiversity of the area and was conscious of the threats presented by climate change. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and it was especially fun to chat with our fellow travellers. The tour was not strenuous but very relaxing
Had a fantastic day out with the vulture! Very informative & safe driving 👏🏻 The views at the top were incredible and our vulture was a brilliant guide!! Informative knowledgeable & made our day so special. Will never forget those views🙌🏻 10 stars
We had a wonderful experience on the Sierra Nevada mountain tour in Granada with Biutre as our guide! It was such a great way to spend the day and see the beautiful mountains and scenery outside the city. Biutre was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. He also took great care of us while navigating the narrow mountain roads, which made us feel very safe and comfortable throughout the trip. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Granada and wanting to experience the Sierra Nevada!
Nature and outdoors. The tour showcases not only its rich and vast valleys. Up and down winding narrow dirtroads, there are flora that thrive in the wild - rosemary, chammomile, margaritas and thyme. As an Asian,it was my first time to see how an almond tree with its fruits looked like. In the valley, there are aqueducts built by the French. Science and physics were applied then - I figired out how water can travel from one source to another. The alps are just as majestic. Though thinned because of global warming, the snow capped mountains, up close bear a light hie of red - dust blown away from the Sahara Desert. The sunset is so beautiful. Our tour guide Jaime, was really good.
We had a truly memorable experience throughout this evening with our incredible tour guide Carlos. We were pleasantly surprised to have Carlos share with us so many physical elements of the region - plants, rocks, animals, and even farmhouse ruins - which truly made the local life and history of the region come alive for us. We loved his enthusiasm and passion for teaching us all of these fascinating details. And he was an incredibly safe driver, which was very appreciated since the roads were windy and at times remote. We highly recommend this tour (and Carlos!) if you want to spend enjoyable time exploring the nature and terrain of the Sierra Nevadas. Thank you again Carlos for a truly unique evening! - Katie and Camye
I did this tour solo, Carlos was the best tour guide!!! He was a very safe driver and we did quite a bit of off roading (and experienced the area like a local) we saw goats, horses, cows, abandoned farms++. Carlos was very knowledgeable about trees/plants/rocks it was very cool history!
Carlos was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable in history, geology, plants, and animals. And a great sense of humor too! The scenery was spectacular and a great way to appreciate the mountains. We highly recommend.
Was a great experience. The guide was a lot of fun, and had a lot of local knowledge, on history, and nature. Would recommend this trip
Very worthwhile tour, we got to see so much and the guide was keen to keep us informed and told us many interesting facts along the way. Really friendly guy
Saw parts of the Sierra Nevada that we would not have have seen as a tourist ! Carlos our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable
This was a really fun tour! Our guide’s personality made it really special he was high energy, hilarious, warm and fun. Great for kids. Lunch was delicious. Cool to leave the city and see the beautiful mountains and animals!
We had a wonderful day exploring Sierra Nevada National Park with Carlos. He is an excellent guide who displays great knowledge of geology and fauna, as well as expert driving skills! It was fun to travel up the back roads to the mountain and Carlos made us feel safe and secure. We highly recommend this tour!
Jamie was the most awesome. He understood each persons needs and guided to them. Loved the added snowshoeing!
Beautiful day exploring the Sierra Nevadas with our guide Jamie.
Carlos was very informative and knowledgeable guide. Brought us to many scenic locations.
Carlos was very knowledgeable, friendly and looked after our safety. Tour exceeded our expectations.
Brilliant trip with stunning views throughout. Carlos was an amazing and knowledgeable guide who showed us the very best of the Sierra Nevada.
Great trip out of the main city of Granada. It was impressive to hear of the history and natural landscapes that surround the city.
Fantastic day up in the mountains, the guide knew so much about history and nature. Spectacular views. Secret spots and fantastic stories.
Jaime is wonderful and it is a great way to see the Sierra Nevada without hiking. We went in December and experienced bright sun at the bottom and heavy snow by the time we reached the top! It was great to experience so much variety in one trip. Jaime was a great guide and very caring to his guests!
This was a wonderful day with Daud as our guide. He is very informative about the history of the area, the flora and fauna, geology, and how economy has affected the area over time. He is a very safe driver and the van comfortable. He speaks English very well. He is patient and very pleasant. The stops are just right with some short hikes to beautiful, picturesque spots. He is mindful of people’s ability and helpful when exiting the van if necessary. The stop for lunch is at a ski resort (at least it was for us) with plenty of nice options to choose from. I was on the fence until the last minute on whether or not to book this. I am really glad I did.
Terrific experience seeing the spectacular Sierra Nevada's from a local guide who knows the area really well. We received lots of information about the flora and fauna. Took us up 3000 m to a very local inn that is a getaway for the university. Had a lovely home-cooked meal in the dining room and then a walk around the summit of this particular part of the mountain. We were near the high altitude training grounds and learned a bit about that too. Highly recommend.
A truly wonderful experience. Expertly led by our guide,, and driver, for the day. We carefully made our way on small winding tracks up to the high altitude ski area surrounded by some of the highest snowdusted mountains in Spain. Along the way stopping to chat about culture, landforms, mountain plants and their edible and non edible berries. We saw Iberian goats and their long curly horns. We shared the small group tour with some delightful other participants. A must do.
Day trip into the mountains with several stops & mini-hikes. Be prepared for weather changes, as the temperature drops & wind rises as you climb to the highest elevation. Amazing views with detailed information about the flora & fauna & geography of the region. Daud was an excellent guide.
A wonderful experience to get out of the city into the mountains. Our tool guide (vulture his nickname) was so knowledgeable in everything to do with the country - the history, the nature etc. We would highly recommend this trip.
Take this tour! This was one of our favorite experiences during our two weeks in Spain. It’s worth taking a day away from being in Granada for this 7-hour excursion (8:30-15:30) where you have multiple stops to see beautiful views and be immersed in nature. We appreciated the stops to see different aspects of the area and enjoyed the varying temps at different altitudes. We highly recommend layers as it gets increasing colder the higher you go, even on a sunny day. The group size was perfect with 8 plus our guide, Daud. We were in a Mercedes sprinter van, which handled the off-the-beaten path roads very well. Daud drove slowly and carefully on the gravel mountain roads and even though there were some narrow spots, this was not off-roading or dangerous. We did some short walks to get to a few views and the last hike was about 15 minutes of steep hiking, but was optional since it was at the restaurant we stopped at for lunch. Daud was an excellent guide - knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. We learned about plants, animals, and geology throughout the tour. He was very conversational and made a full day fun and energizing. We highly recommend this tour.
Really great way to get a snap shop view of the mountains.the sunset views were beautiful and the guide gave a great insight into the mountains
Escape the city and explore the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mtns. Our guide Daud had excellent local knowledge and kept us informed along the way. A scenic drive to the top of the mountain. We were lucky as we had a blue bird day... spectacular scenery. A few short walks, a coffee stop, lunch break. A lovely group of tourists who bonded nicely over the day. Definitely recommend this tour.
It was refreshing to get out of the city and see a natural side of Granada. Our guide, self-nicknamed “Vulture,” was a kind and knowledgeable emissary of the mountains, explaining political history, botany, geography and sharing personal anecdotes. The day felt peaceful and relaxed as our group of eight made several stops on our way to 8,000 feet where we stopped for a delicious hot lunch (not included in the price). After lunch there was time for independent exploring; my husband and I took a short hike to the summit. We highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in adding layer and depth to a quick look at Granada and the surrounding area.
Fantastic experience. 4x4 to the top of the mountain with a very knowledgeable guide. He told us all about the plants, animals and geology of the area. We got to the top in time for the sunset which was fab. You might need a jumper or a coat for the very top!
Jaime is a really friendly tour guide, who told us everything about the surroundings and geology. The tour is composed of approx. 6-7 stops, with an hour free time in the end. I recommend this activity.
