Private Alhambra Tour With An Official Guide In Granada

We had a private tour organised by the company. I’ve used many times in the past, Tour and Travel are excellent at arranging these. The tour guide we had was superb his knowledge of the site, and the time that he gave us was tremendous. I would have no hesitation in recommending both Tour and Travel, and indeed a private tour.

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Tour Travel & More, and they were totally professional and honest in every communication.

We have been on quite a few privat guided tours in different parts of the world, however none of them have been as informative and well organized as the one with Carmen. She is extremely knowledgeable not only about the Alhambra and it’s history but all of Granada and the culture etc. We had booked 3 hours in the Alhambra and another hour in Sacramonte (4 hours in total) all of which was an amazing experience.

Our guide,Anna, was amazing. Really enjoyed our tour. She was kind and pleasant and very knowledgeable. The company worked with us to price a driver to drop us at the rain station. Very good communication from the company. They seem very reliable.

Our guide (Nono) was very knowledgeable and eloquent in his explanation of the various points of interest throughout the tour, taking a gentle pace with calm but clear information not only about Alhambra and all it has to offer but also about Granada and surrounding areas.

Our guide arrived earlier than planned, and immediately started touring. He shared amazing info and it was a joy to learn from a true historian.

One of the key highlights of our trip; from hotel pick up to an amazing tour of Alhambra and Granada, then back to our hotel. Our guide, Emilio, was very knowledgeable. More than that, we can really feel his love for the place and his profession in the way he would relate to us facts and made sure we are comfortable with the tour. We highly recommend this provider. It was the best guided experience of our trip. We plan to go back as a day is not enough.

Our guide was incredibly well informed about the history of the Alhambra and Granada. Although he has led many tours, we felt like he genuinely shared in our enthusiasm for seeing these wonders for the first time. It was great to go at our own pace and the whole experience was relaxing and enriching.

Chico was a very knowledgeable guide and explained everything on a very structured manner during the 3 hoir tour. He certainly knows his subject matter well. We liked his easygoing and relaxed manner and we thoroughly enjoyed our day! We can highly recommend this activity.

Our guide Antonio was very knowledgeable, patient, and clearly loves his job. We had a large group and he answered many questions while also providing a personalized touch as we toured the grounds of the Al Hambra.

Our tour guide met us promptly at the entrance and was extremely accommodating in terms of us stopping to take pictures constantly and of our kids.Very knowledgeable and a local with strong roots in Granada. We would highly recommend this tour.

We were late in booking our tickets for Alhambra and opted for this private tour. Eva was a local and very knowledgable guide and we could do the tour at our own pace. We enjoyed the Nasrid Palaces the most. The Genalife was nice bit not of the sam dignity. We also enjoyed walking around Alcazaba ob our own after the tour.

Our tour guide, Blanca, was extremely knowledgeable, and her enthusiasm for the Alhambra made an already incredible place even more exciting. She knows her history, and was most generous in sharing. It was an experience we will always remember.

We booked for a three hour guided tour of the Alhambra as this was the only available option to visit during our visit, all other ticket options being sold out. The cost was ridiculously high relative to the actual ticket price and cost for a guide. So, our fault for not booking sooner! Putting the expense to one side, Juan was a very professional, informative and helpful guide. He was with us for just under three hours and did not seem to be just going through the motions, which must be difficult as he must have delivered the same information thousands of times.

Blanca was truly the best guide. She new so much, stayed with us past our time and brought such excitement and deep knowledge to our tour. We felt the energy of the past and loved every minute. Fantastic experience!

Eve Marie is the most fabulous guide Her knowledge of history and stories from the past were fascinating. More than that I have mobility problems and she worked the tour around what i was able to do and I saw all the highlights and more. When I needed to rest she continued to provide history and tales fo the Alhambra. One of the most outstanding tours ever and I only wish that she was with us for al guided tours.

Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with our tour. Our tour guide, Carmen, while knowledgeable, was abrupt, not particularly friendly, and had difficulty understanding and answering our questions. She arrived a bit late, without our tickets which were delivered separately - about 30 minutes late - by Tour Travel, the company we used to book the private tour. We signed up for a 3 hour tour but after about 2 hours and a crowded visit to Alhambra she seemed ready to finish and we had to ask her to take us to the summer palace at Generallife for the last hour. There is an incredible history to Alhambra that she had difficulty imparting and we came away with a very incomplete understanding of that history and the developments over the centuries. We got the feeling that we would have learned more by purchasing the audio guides. Also other guides we overhead seemed much more enthusiastic, engaging, and forthcoming than our guide. The price for this tour was $807 for six people, which seems extraordinarily high for the value received and compared to a private tour we took in another Spanish city just a few days earlier. Also, given the cost of the entry tickets and the guide, the price was quite high. In sum, we would not recommend Tour Travel to others and we recommend that Tour Travel up its game when providing its customers with a quality experience at a reasonable price.

We had a wonderful experience with our guide Blanca. She was SO knowledgeable and enthusiastic, her stories and insights really made the Alhambra come alive.

It was the only option we had if we want to visit Alhambra. Our first reaction was a little bit angry because the price, nobody likes to be under pressure during the holidays. Once we decided to book the tour, we accepted was the only way we could do it, so we changed our mood and prepared ourselves to enjoy it. The day arrived and everything was awesome, Carmen our guide is really a expert woman, since the very first moment we realized the price we've paid was direct related with high quality of the service. During 3 hours Carmen showed us every single secret spaces & details we admired the most, as she was a very good storyteller, we took a time machine and were transported to the past. With so kindness and professionalism Carmen made this tour a great journey just for us. So yes, the price is a little bit high, but is money worthl paid.

Our guide Lara was outstanding. She was very friendly, personable and charming while deeply knowledgeable about the history, culture, and the area generally. She is passionate about her work and it was so easy to catch her enthusiasm! Because of her we were able to skip long lines and avoid overly crowded areas. What a treat to have her as our personal guide- well worth the extra cost!

Eva was a wonderful, attentive guide. Very professional and knowledgeable, she provided highlights to this wondrous place in a interesting and pleasant manner. A lovely person, and we would highly recommend her. She also provided useful recommendations regarding visiting other sights and restaurants.

The tour was very well organized and informative. The professional guide (Gosia J.) was very skilled, pleasant, and attentive to our needs. We also appreciated the high level of follow-up and cooperation displayed by the Tour Travel & More Team in arranging for this tour. All in all, it was an excellent and very enjoyable experience.

It is very interesting to see how advanced the Muslim communities of the Iberian Peninsula were. This is evidenced by the later Christian buildings on the Alhambra site. The tour hosted by a very knowledgeable local guide and more fortunately for just two people provided more information than could be absorbed in the 3 hour experience. It certainly warrants contemplating a return visit to "fill in the gaps" that become evident after the initial tour. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in history, architecture, culture or all of the above.

We booked a family of 7 for the Private Alhambra tour. First class. Maya from Tour Travel & More was awesome in the planning stage! She was so helpful in confirming a later hour for the tour. Tourguide was superb. Way to go!

My wife, adult daughter and son, and I took this tour in early May. We all went away wishing our guide provided more information and could answer all of our questions about this spectacular site. Considering the money we spent on this, we definitely didn't expect her to spend time on her phone while walking through the grounds. Observing what the larger tour groups were getting from their guides, they probably got a batter bang for their buck (or Euro).

We throughly enjoyed our tour of Alhambra. Unfortunately, you sign up for this and then they tell you what time the tour will be. However, as it turned out our 3 pm. tour was ideal. Anyway, the structure is magnificent and our guide was totally kmowledgeable, friendly, and responsive.

The agency was amazing in finding tickets at the last moment! The guide was amazingly knowledgeable and the kids also loved him! Thanks for all the professional approach and service!

Highly recommended visit to a really beautiful spot with a very responsive and responsible tour operator. We made a last minute query on Sunday for a Alhambra visit when most other tour operators were reverting with no tickets available. Maya stayed in constant contact through a Sunday, called us back on Monday, safely handled our credit card info and made the trip happen on a Thursday. Driver arrived promptly at the Marriott Marbella resort, the guide (Daniel) was excellent and overall we had a five star trip to Alhambra. It was pricey but that was our fault for being last minute. Our guide Carmen showed us the beauty of the Alhambra with obvious undying awe. Her knowledge of this stunning work of architecture, history and Granada overall is unparalleled. I must be honest that I initially balked at the steep price tag of this adventure; however when all was said and done our experience was well worth it.

The only suggestion that I would make is that the guide be clearly identifiable on meet up and hold up the name of the tour party airport taxi style This would have avoided stress and delay at the beginning of tour.</p>

Alhambra Granada - We have booked a private tour (2- people on 9/9/2021 at 16:00 ) in English. Unfortunately, the tour guide did not appear. After queries about the problem number - via WhatsApp (robot) the guide is not available by phone and there is no solution. “Sorry” and with that the topic for GetYourGuide was done. We tried to get tickets but unfortunately there were no tickets left to buy. Unfortunately, available tickets only the following day from 18:00 in the evening. But since we are staying especially in the beautiful Hotel Parador, this is all the more annoying. If you book, it is via the Alhambra directly, but please do not via GetYourGuide!!! It would be too bad. Oh, there was a 10% voucher for a next booking through GetYourGuide! Great, huh? We will keep our hands off this “shop” in the future.

The best guide in the world to visit the Alhambra is Jenny and she is at the My Top Tour Team agency. We are delighted with the experience because we were traveling with 2 teenagers who managed to reach into their pockets and enjoy the visit with their didactic explanations.
