Incredible tour to the Nerja Caves and the town which also showcased the Balcon de Europa. Pictures cannot shown how amazing it was to be underground in a huge cave full of staglamites. The town itself felt like a tropical getaway from Granada. Our guide Michael was fabulous, informative and our small group felt like friends.

Went on a day trip. Its beautiful, nature at is best. We didnt download the audio, so I'm not fully sure of the history. But you can download for free beforehand, or pay 2 euros on the day. Cost us 17 euros per person, and it took us about an hour to get through - we were stoppimg to take pics, and enjoying the views
The hosts, Micheal and Alessandra were incredibly pleasant, very knowledgeable and fun to be with. It was obvious they really enjoyed their work. They were extremely punctual and respectful. They took their time explaining important facts and history about each stop and were eager to answer any of our questions. The Nerja caves are spectacular and the towns of Almunecar and Nerja are very beautiful. It was a very full day but before we knew it, we were back in Granada. The whole trip exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much, Micheal and Alessandra! Bonny and Paul from Newfoundland, Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️
The most impressive caves I've ever visited. They were huge and beautifully lit. There are a vast amount of steps inside, which are steep and not for those with mobility difficulties. Be aware that the tiled floor, at the foot of the steps into the caves, is like ice - especially if wet.
The guide Michael ensured that we had an enjoyable experience of the Tropical Coast and the caves at Nerja. My partner really enjoyed this birthday treat.
Michael was a terrific guide, and we explored a variety of places along the coast and the caves at Nerja. He sprinked some history and personal experiences into the tour that made a nice connection to our trip in Spain.
The tour was wonderful and an absolute highlight of our vacation. We were a total of 6 people. The group quickly came together thanks to the very friendly tour guide Michael. He told everything that was worth knowing in a very entertaining, humorous and competent manner. He led us to very beautiful places and the highlights of the area worth seeing. The Nerja Cave is incredibly fantastic, huge, cathedral like and a must see. The beaches are just great with crystal clear, shimmering turquoise water. Lunch was very good too. A clear recommendation from us✨👍Many thanxxx to Michael from Silvia and Abdo
Our guide Micheal made the Trip. He arrived on time was friendly knowledegable. Flexible. Made us all very comfortable. The route he took us was scenic. A fantastic driver that put our enjoyment of this day trip first. Recommend Micheal a real asset to Viator
Great trip. Michael was a fabulous guide. He added many details to the trip. The drive to the coast was restful. The cave was amazing. The beach was beautiful. I highly recommend this trip.

worthwhile trip caves are very impressive punctual service good guide and driver nice lunch

I had a phenomenal time on this tour! Marta and William are an excellent team.
Marta is very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. She is able to give the tour in English and Spanish without difficulty.
William is a great driver I felt safe and comfortable with him at the wheel.
The locations are beautiful and the lunch is very tasty.

I highly recommend this trip :

Long bus ride but beautiful scenery by the coast and of course the caves are incredible. Don't know if the dual Spanish/English commentary is necessary as everyone in the bus spoke English. Well worth the price and the time.

Really nice tour, showing the beautiful coastline.Lovely air conditioned mini van Mercedes. Stopped off at Almunecar had a look at the local sites, and coffee by the sea front. Then off to the caves, which was a awesome sight. The only issue here is the tour guide inside the caves did rush a little bit, as many groups where inside. This was a guide from the Caves and not our tour leader. We had a really good lunch at Nerja beach with plenty of sea food . Lovely funny driver William who came back a different route as I had car sickness on the way down due to winding roads .

This was a really nice tour. Pick up was smooth as we were at an rental not hotel. It was totally in line with what was advertised. I would have skipped the garden tour that was before the 'fort'. The other somewhat pesty aspect was that we had English speakers and Spanish speakers on the trip so the poor guide had to give information in both languages which was just long. The caves were great. Were we stopped over looking the ocean there was a really pretty church. I was wary of the lunch but it was great and even in April, my kids went swimming in the Mediterranean! No great place to change, but we figured it out and just used a restroom. Thanks well done tour.

Relaxing day with very informative friendly guide. Driver was very good and welcoming. The Nerja caves were incredible a not to be missed experience. Excellent lunch

Super guide. Showed you the best places and explained the area. Good food and very accommodating with special requests or questions. Would highly recommend Michael as a guide. Fun filled and fantastic day.

My family of four had a wonderful time on this trip. The drive was very scenic and the coast was beautiful. There was some uphill walking, which my family appreciated after the drive. Our guide, Antonio, was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke English fluently. He obviously has a great love for this area and passed that on to us. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was excellent. We were shown the beautiful coast line and caves. This day was packed with some of Spain's beautiful cities. This was a long day 10+ hrs it was well worth it. I felt I got a lot for my money. The tour guide was educated and friendly. fyi this tour requires a lot of stair climbing

This was a great day tour. Our guide, Michel, was competent, pleasant and knows the area very well. Highly recommended..

This was one of our best days in Spain! Antonio was an excellent guide and we learned and saw a lot. The lunch was delicious and the caves were spectacular! Recommend to anyone visiting Granada.

As we hadn't planned staying any further south than Granada this trip was a good opportunity to see a bit more of Spain. There were many olive trees and orchards on the journey down. We stopped at the whitewashed town of Salobrena, walked up to the castle and were treated to an amazing view. We then went to the caves, I have visited many caves and these were some of the best I have seen due to their size, there were a number of huge caverns.
After stopping in the picturesque town on Nerja we then stopped to eat lunch at a restaurant on the beach. Lunch was included in the price and we could order beer, wine, sangria, a main meal and sides. It was a great meal. There were only 5 of us on the tour, 2 of us spoke no Spanish and 3 were elderly people who spoke no English. We all ate together and had a very good time notwithstanding the language barrier. We then visited another beautiful beach where we could walk off some of the lunch. This was a relaxing tour, we were never rushed and the time in each location was just enough.

A must do if you are in the area for more than 3 days -- a relaxing break from the glory of Alhambra but beautiful in its one right.

The Nerja caves were amazing and we had several interesting stops along the way which were great to see. Antonio was a good guide - translating everything between English and Spanish. I was not impressed with the planning/organization of the trip. We were picked up at 8:30 am and lunch was planned at 2 pm and we weren't served until after 3 pm. That was way too long to wait for lunch. Also - we have a few vegetarians and the options for vegetarians were not appropriate - a lettuce salad or fish.

Fantastic tour! Our guide was great and the driver was also helpful to fill in English as needed. We got more history from this tour than I expected and I thoroughly enjoyed free time on the beach. Would recommend.

We had a great guide who took us to more places than listed on the itinerary. It was a very enjoyable trip, would highly recommend!

Good value. Stunning beaches, friendly locals, breathtaking tour of the caves. Guides were
knowledgeable and paella lunch was delicious.

A super, enjoyable and very interesting day, that included more than we expected. An excellent guide (Jose -Luis). All the places we visited were interesting and different. Very good Paella lunch!!

A wonderful day out with the Nerja caves being quite fascinating. Our guide, Michael, (a Dutch young man with impeccable English) was delightful and patently obviously loved the Tropical coast which was infectious. The lunch on the beach of a superb freshly made Paella was a gastronomic treat!

Nice guide. Very touristy spots on the coast. Wish we had more time to explore on our own.

The tour guide was excellent, he had a lot of initiative and a beautiful bubbly personality. I love the stop at the restaurant overlooking the ocean for lunch and the PAELLA was super EXCELLENT! I enjoyed this TROPICAL COAST and CAVES OF NERJA DAY TRIP TOUR VERY MUCH, the MOST...next to the ALHAMBRA Tour.

Extremely interesting history pertaining to the Caves discovery. Some beautiful old formation.
The Tropical Coast with the white Andalusian houses on steep mountains is a sight to behold. Our guide was just brilliant! He was knowledgeable and made sure we saw, walked, tasted and experienced the Andalusian coast albeit for a day!
It was a thoroughly fabulous trip!

The coast is absolutely breathtaking. Our 10-year old daughter loved the beach and the caves. We wish we had more beach time though.

We loved this tour! Beautiful area of Spain. The guides were helpful and provided a well organized tour. Lunch was lovely! Paella was great!

The caves were amazing, the coast was beautiful, and the guide was incredibly nice - felt like going on a trip with a family friend, instead of a traditional tour. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted in the caves, and still had plenty of free time to explore the small beach towns.

The Tropical Coast and Caves of Nerja was an excellent trip. Included in the trip were visits to Salobrena and Nerja, both of which were attractive.

The tour guide was very helpful and pleasant and also knew the detail of the places very well.

We had opportunity to take a number of photographs, which will remind us of the trip.

We found it very useful to be picked up at our hotel by the tour guide.

We would suggest that, due to the number of occasions steep climbs were involves, that this is advertised as part of the description of the trip, so that customers may take this into consideration when choosing.

Did not take this tour because not enough people signed up. Instaed took Cordoab trip which was fantasctic!!

Even through there was a bit of a communication problem on their end and thus they picked us up late after letting us wait for 1 hr the trip itself was awesome. The caves were impressive, the views were great, the seashore time was wonderful and the paella lunch was out of this world! I mean it was good! I mean I dream about that paella. Yum! Anyway the tour took us to 3 different villages and we had time on the beach in 2 of them and my only regret is that there was not more time. So this tour just needs 1 more hr added to the length of it so allow for more swim time.

You get more with this trip than the description indicates. You see all that is described and more. The cave and tropical coast portion is actually in the morning, followed by a nice included paella lunch by the sea. On the way back to Granada, you get a bonus in the form of a stop at a 4th-century processing plant for salt fish. The plant is set in a marvelous park containing about 30 truly stunning sandstone sculptures by the same artist, all set among unusual tropical trees from all over the world.
We had the most wonderful guide! He picked us up at our hotel; then we proceeded on our journey. We had just the right amount of time at each stop. He was a very good driver and very informative about each stop. Lunch was delicious, and the scenery was spectacular! Thank you for a wonderful day!
Great guide, Mickael is dynamic, attentive, and shares very good anecdotes. The organization was top-notch, from the pickup at the hotel to the return. I highly recommend it!
Granada is a beautiful and cozy city and a lot is well arranged. Our "guide" Piotr Janczarek (from Getyourguide), on the other hand, was a gloomy disinterested man who barely spoke. His English was extremely bad and made you feel that we were difficult when we asked for something. I was the only one with a ticket for alhambra so I had to go in on my own he found, but I still had him as a guide?????? Furthermore, he bounced through hill on hill, without caring if we could hold on, he didn't even take a drinking break! He gave the minimum of information when we inquired about the program of the day, often we still didn't know anything afterwards. Never experienced such a bad guide! Will never book with this company again. On my evaluation this Piotr came up with a very rude reaction.
An excellent tour, which helps in 5 hours discover the pearls of Andalusia. Michael a very attentive guide, who explains everything gladly and in detail. Thank you very much for the emotions you gave us.
It was a very nice experience. Our guide and driver Michael today delivered looks like he likes it and knows what he talks about. We were a very small group and did not make the route very enjoyable.
Excellent conservation, it is worth visiting the caves of Nerja, photography is allowed, it has services. Don't miss the 3D exhibition of the caves, something spectacular.
I would have loved to give a 5-star rating because I know the place must be wonderful, but they canceled the expedition with just a couple of days' notice, and when you travel for tourism you do it with the days already planned, so I was left without go to Nerja
A highly recommended excursion. Both the guide Dante and the driver Jesús were very friendly. Dante made the trip very enjoyable thanks to his explanations and leaving enough time to see each place calmly. The caves are spectacular.
Extremely great outing, thanks to Dante, with his great knowledge of history and legends, the caves are fantastic, but the rest of the outing, thanks to Dante and of course Jesus, the great driver, was tremendously good. At the same time, it must also be said that the food, without being bad, was not very satisfactory, so we have to lower the grade and leave the food at a 3.
Last June 12, I hired Viator to tour the tour for July 19. On July 17th I am contacted by the operator "Alhambra Travel SL - Granadavision" via mail to inform me of the pick-up location and that the following day he would contact me again to agree on the schedule. On the 18th I get an email from the operator informing me that the excursion had been cancelled. What until yesterday was OK, today is cancelled? I don't understand. I go to the operator’s office in Granada and we are attended by a person who was not even aware of the situation; he puts on a better “face of circumstance”, says he does not know the reasons and offers me no solution. Viator apologizes for the case, informs us that they will fully refund the payment and ignores the situation generated by an operator working for them. Until now I had never had any problems on any excursion, tour or activity contracted with Viator, so until today everything was fine. The handling of this situation seemed to me to be totally disrespectful and the answers were far from what I expected from an Enterprise with a track record; they behaved like improvised ones. REALLY VERY REGRETTABLE. If you were planning to contract any activity with Viator, please check before paying, because charging is very simple but providing the Service offered or giving an adequate response to an unfavorable situation, it seems not.
