Our driver Jose made the experience so memorable and easy. He was so knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations. I give him 5 out of 5 stars

This was a wonderful way for us to see the mountains and coast of Spain. Our driver/ guide Jose was fantastic!!! He accommodated us in terms of our interests and knew Frigliana very well and made a great recommendation for lunch in Nerja. The caves are fascinating and awe inspiring
Jose was fantastic! I loved the tour. Nerja & Frigiliana are beautiful. Plenty of time in each location.
José was our tour guide and did an excellent job of explaining the agriculture of the region, some of the history, and guiding us around Frigiliana and Nerja. He got us to the Nerja cave first thing which was crucial as the line was incredibly long when we were on our way out. He gave excellent suggestions for the beach at Nerja as well. We had a fabulous day exploring!
This was an amazing day. José was a fantastic guide who made the day very very special. Thank you José. We were three people plus José. I appreciate the hospitality shown by José and my fellow travelers. Great day had by all.
We had some flexibility because it was a small group, which was nice. It’s a nice day trip from Granada if you have time, but I would not consider it a must-do if you are short on time in Granada.
Driver was awesome. Amount of time at locations was more then enough. Scenery was spectacular.......
Had a fantastic tour to Nerja and Frigiliana! Everything was very well organized from start to finish, making the day smooth and enjoyable. Jose was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and always making sure everyone was comfortable. He shared great insights about the area that really brought the experience to life. Highly recommend this tour if you want an easy, informative, and enjoyable way to explore these beautiful towns!
We signed up for the small group (max 8) tour, but ended up with only the three of us going. The good thing is that the company did not cancel the tour. We had a private driver, but there was really no tour as such. He drove us to see the Nerja caves where we used audio guides to walk us through the caves and then he drove us to Frigiliana and lastly, to Nerja. Frigiliana is a nice example of a white village, but there isn't anything to do there other than walk past many souvenir stores. Nerja is bigger, but felt the same. We were not given any history or background of any of the places. Basically, we just had a private driver.
This was a delightful day from start to finish. Our driver, Gonzalo, was great...very informative, helpful and friendly. Our grandchildren loved him. Everything was better than we could hope for.
The tour was fantastic - Nerja cave, Frigiliana and Balcony of Europe all were amazing places by themselves, but the 5 star is also for: 1. They have only us (2 people) booked on that day - at first they tried to re-schedule but could not since our schedule was very tight. Despite that, they did not cancel the tour and we got a private tour - this is 5 start customer obsession! 2. Out guide Jose was knowledgeable, kind and experienced - he explained things pretty well and went above and beyond by extending it for more time on our request without hesitation - can not ask for more!
Lovely day visiting 2 coastal towns. Carlos was an excellent guide! The drive and free time was spaced adequately. Would highly recommend this fun day trip from Granada.
What an incredible day! We started at the Cueve de Nerja, learning all about the caves, walking with an audio guide and finished with virtual reality experience. Our driver then brought us up to Frigiliana, walking up the mountain through the bright white village with pops of blue colours and tropical plants and views of the mountains out to the sea. Finishing up with Nerja with the turquoise waters today under the sunshine, enjoying good food, wine, ice cream and beach walks. What more could you ask for in a day? Our guide was so attentive to all of our needs as well. Truly above and beyond what I expected. So great for a first visit to all these locations.
An absolutely perfect day. Jose was an amazing tour guide and provided the most thoughtful and individualized experience. The areas we visited were a must. Don’t hesitate to book this experience.
This was one of the best excursions we have ever been on. Our guide Gonzalo was so amazing and made our trip so memorable. His recommendation for a meal was so perfect we will always crave it! He was attentive, kind, and friendly, and went out of his way to ensure we had the best day. Thank you so much Gonzalo!
i was and agreed a switch to Cordoba tour . the trip was great and the guide was good. Carlos was very helpful and well informed about history and architecture of cordoba mosque/cathedral. hight recommended..
This was an incredible experience to explore a small part of the region surrounding Granada. We loved that our guide gave us helpful information and explored the beautiful route towards the coast, but also let us explore on our own. He provided a great lunch recommendation and ended the tour with a beautiful scenic overlook! We loved our experience and would definitely recommend!
It was a great experience with our guide Gonzalo. He is very efficient pleasant. He looks after minor details and is helpful in every possible way. I will receive him to all my family and friends who are to visit this place. Best wishes to him. Good bye amigo.
Small group tour with Enrique as our driver. First, to Frijiliana where we met Maria who toured us thru her beautiful white village. Be prepared for many steps! But worth it. Second stop was Nerja caves. Let your imagination wonder (the formations vary from angels to devils to knights in shining armour). Again your imagination! Last stop was the village of Nerja where we ate lunch, drank sangria and walked the beaches below the Balcony of Europe. And always with the beautiful Mediterranean in the background.
Frigiliana and Nerja were beautiful. The tour stops were perfectly spaced out to allow you time to properly explore the cities.
DO NOT BOOK with this company (Discovering Spain). Despite the tour being “confirmed” by TripAdvisor, the tour company were flaky from the beginning and told me via email that the tour was, in fact, NOT confirmed. They promised they would contact me if they did get another reservation to confirm the tour. Which is a bummer but I get it and can roll with some uncertainty. I booked another refundable backup tour with a different company just in case. Discovering Spain never contacted me but I did email them myself 3 days before the tour to check in and they said a second reservation had been made by another group, so the tour was confirmed. So I cancelled my backup tour and thought we were all set for a great day in Nerja and Frigiliana. Then, the day before the tour (less than 24 hours before it was supposed to start), they contacted me again to say their second party had cancelled their reservation so our tour was now cancelled. THE DAY BEFORE. Outside the cancellation window. After I paid. After already confirming it. After I cancelled my backup plan. I understand that they need to hit a minimum group size to cover their costs. What I don’t understand is why those costs weren’t already covered if the second group cancelled outside the cancellation period, since they would’ve been already charged (as I was) and the fee would’ve been nonrefundable for a late cancellation (I asked multiple times about this and they refused to answer). That is the entire purpose of disallowing cancellations within 48 hours of the tour starting. So this should have been a profitable tour for them even if it was just my party of two joining the actual tour. I believe Discovering Spain pocketed the other group’s money at 100% profit and decided to incur no costs at all to themselves by cancelling while screwing us over. This left me with a wasted day on my vacation due to a flaky tour company because no alternate tours were available to Costa del Sol for the next day. I ended up booking a private tour at THREE TIMES THE COST because I refused to let them ruin our vacation by wasting an entire day. I’ve been on many group tours like this and occasionally had a similar situation crop up where another group cancelled late. In every instance, the tour company has made good on their promise to their customers and simply conducted the tour with only my party of two people. I have never ever ever seen a tour company willingly totally ruin a client’s vacation day like this. People work hard to earn the money and time for vacation days. That’s the whole reason this company exists. Discovering Spain provided the single worst customer service experience I’ve ever encountered from a supposed “hospitality” company. Honestly, I don’t even think they should be allowed to list their tour “services” on TripAdvisor or Viator anymore. It’s a terrible reflection on those companies, as well. So unless you don’t care if they ruin one of your hard-earned vacation days on a whim or don’t mind paying 3x the cost to another company when they leave you in an impossible position with a cancellation less than 24 hours before, AVOID THIS COMPANY (Discovering Spain) AT ALL COSTS.
I am travelling with 6-year old daughter and my 83 year old father on a wheel chair. Our driver/guild was Jonzalo. He's the best driver/guild we ever had. Frijiliana was a beautiful place but also difficult to access for wheel chairs. He helped me a lot during the whole journey. Moreover, he is very knowledgeable about the places we visited and gave useful information about Andalusia. Everyone enjoyed the trip very much, thanks to Jonzalo's company. Frijiliana and Nerja are definiately worth visiting. If you have some time to spend in this region, don't miss it.
The Nerja caves & Frijiliana tours - it was awesome. Two contrasting sceneries with views that is simply magnificent. (Caves vs. Coastal town views)
The trip was amazing. However, our guide, a young man, scolded us for being a few minutes late to our meeting site. It was quite upsetting to the whole group of women as we were not prepared to be spoken to that way.
We had to change the date of our tour with short notice, and tour operator was incredibly helpful and worked out a solution for us on a Sunday no less (I was doubtful we would even get a response on a Sunday)! We ended up getting a private tour with a knowledgeable & friendly guide, Jose, who was very accommodating. The highlight of the trip was visiting the caves - -this impressed even our hard-to-please teens. If you can, combine this trip with a lunch beach-side and a dip into the ocean in town itself of Nerja
This was a very professional company and the tour was fantastic! They really accommodated my 1-year-old and brought a car seat for her. They were super informative and nice. I would definitely book with them again!
Beautiful views traveling to Nerja. Nerja caves are amazing. The views of the beach and coastline were spectacular. Frigiliana is a beautiful spot with many shops, restaurants and breathtaking views. Our driver (Fredrico) is very knowledgeable of the areas, courteous and helpful. Highly recommend him.
He highlighted and valued the Enterprise that offered us the activity through Bistor pirque being three people in a day Tuesday we had the tour impeccably. The communication of the Enterprise Alhambra Tours was constant and the tourist lets you know with whom they will carry out their activity. José was an excellent guide who with his experience made us avoid queues, schedules of many people and we traveled everything planned. It was awesome to know these sites and the images we got are great. Being able to wet your feet in the Mediterranean in free time is a must!!!!
Excellent our guide and driver José We have had a beautiful day, the caves of Nerja are impressive, and frigilian a beautiful white village. The balcony of Europe was a golden snap!
We went with our guide José who was very friendly and helpful. We had lunch in Nerja and he accompanied us to see the most beautiful places in the area. I recommend this tour. Thank you
It has been a unique experience, our guide Jose, at all times has been concerned that we were comfortable, very good people, that made a lot of difference, thank you very much for everything!
It was a wonderful trip for 2 great reasons. The first, Frigiliana and Nerja are two beautiful ligaments, my best photos taken there, especially in Frigiliana. The second reason, I had the privilege of being accompanied by Gonzalo, who adapted very well to my time preferences in each place, was very friendly at all times and I thoroughly enjoyed his guide.
A few days before the trip they call me because I was going to Alpujarra and they tell me that since there are only two of us they changed it for going to Nerja and its cave, I thought good or bad, but when the day came we found that we were a German family (mother and daughter), my mother and I and an Australian lady (who was going to Alpujarra) the guide did not know much English and the entrance to the cave had to do in two shifts. The organization was terrible, good thing at least the guide taught us something similar to the original trip going down the National instead of the highway
It is an excursion in which besides knowing the village of Frigiliana, flirty and small with time to do shopping, we could also visit the caves in Spanish. Recommended...
