Granada: Albaicin And Sacromonte Segway Tour

The tour is a must for segway and Granada lovers. I really enjoyed the tour as it offers a different angle of the city which we could cover faster and more efficient. Ruben was our tour guide and he made the tour more interesting throughout our discussions along the way.

We had a 2-hour tour with Fares as our guide and it was a really enjoyable experience. Having not visited Granada previously, this was a fantastic way to see the some of the major sights in just a few hours (and saved a lot of walking up/down some steep hills!). Fares was a great guide and gave us a lot of useful info about the city during our tour. Thanks, Fares and TopSegway - keep up the good work!

We were so lucky to get Simon for our guide. He was fabulous! Given the length and quality of our guide it was money very well spent (especially as I got a Blue Light discount through Viator!). Fortunately, we were the only ones who had booked that particular slot, so it was a private tour, just for myself, my husband and daughter! Simon was really patient at teaching us how to use the Segways and kept an eye on us throughout the tour, so it felt like a very safe experience. We stopped off at view points where he gave us just the right amount of information and history - I knew none of it, and am usually terrible at listening (!) but he made it really engaging. I've never been so interested during a tour. We would have totally missed some of these beautiful parts of Granada if we had been left to discover it by foot. Felt very smug zipping up all those hills watching the other tourists on foot!!

Simon our guide was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and so kind to our nervous daughter during the teach, before we ventured off. This is so worth the money, I would say an absolute must when visiting Granada. You will see and go places you just would not see otherwise. Simon, you made our trip to Granada, thank you.

Riding a Segway is so much fun. None of us had ever used one. But once you understand how it works, it's simple and we all enjoyed it.

This most pleasant fun during my stay in Granada. I wanted to explore Albacin and Sacramento in the quickest way possible and Simon (our tour guide) made that possible. My stay was for 4 days and I divided all my ‘most sees’ throughout the stay. The cost was reasonable, costed me 50 dollars. The tour was with 2 other people, a couple from Europe who were completely capable of biking. We went from 6 pm and ended at ~8 pm, aiming for sunset. We made to subset in an iconic landmark cathedral. Simon is such an amazing guy and lovely to chat and bike with. The atmosphere was full of joy and chattery felt like a family.

My family and I went on a Segway trip yesterday, guided by Simon. We had a wonderful time. I would like to it again and again!

Last one Honestly, I was a bit nervous about the hills, but this Segway tour turned out to be the absolute best part of our time in Granada. It was such an amazing experience! Our guide, Fares, was a total gem. He was super chill and patient while getting us comfortable on the wheels, so any nerves totally melted away before we even started. Cruising through the Albaicín and Sacromonte without breaking a sweat was pure joy, and Fares knew all the coolest spots to stop for photos of the Alhambra. It didn't feel like a stiff, scripted tour at all—just a really fun afternoon exploring an incredible city. Definitely look for Fares if you book this!

Segway experience around Granada was easily the best part of our stay. The route takes you through the small streets up and around the mosque and cave houses. You will have the best views of granada and Alhambra. We went at 6pm so added bonus of seeing the sun setting. Our guide, Fares, was really nice. He kept the group together, was Flexible with stops and worked around what we wanted in the group i.e when to move on or stay longer. He helps out with the pictures too which is a nice touch. Definitely recommend this.

Our group included complete beginners who had never been on a Segway before, but Fares was an excellent teacher. We had the most fantastic Segway tour with TopSegway through the Albaicín and Sacromonte in Granada, and it was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip! As a party of five (with adult children ages 20–26), we were all first-timers on Segways, but our guide Kaell made everything feel easy, safe, and unforgettable. Kaell was incredibly patient from the very beginning, giving us clear instructions and building our confidence quickly. He’s not just an expert rider—he’s an outstanding tour guide and passionate historian. His stories brought the historic neighborhoods, stunning views, and cultural gems of Granada to life in such an engaging way. We learned so much while having a blast zipping around! One funny (and slightly nerve-wracking) moment: heading up a steep hill, I pulled back on the steering wheel, but started going faster than expected. Kaell reacted in a split second, grabbing my steering wheel and steadying me perfectly. I was absolutely fine and felt totally safe the entire time. He’s an absolute pro on the Segway! My adult kids loved it even more than I did—it quickly became their favorite tour of the entire trip. We saw so many beautiful sites that we would have missed otherwise. This is not a tour designed for everyone. You really should have prior experience on a Segway and know that you are already capable on challenging, steep, narrow, winding, uneven, bumpy cobblestone streets in the midst of pedestrian tourists and motorbikes. We believed the advertised description of this experience being appropriate for ages 16 to 99. I think the current ad says for ages 9 to 100. Don't believe it! The ad also mentions that your guide will go over the basics of Segway operation before the tour begins. In reality the guide weeds out the people who would be at risk if they attempted the tour. Because nobody wants to have an accident and injure themselves or others. This could raise liability issues for the tour company as well. My husband and I gladly declined to participate after trying to use the Segway because we could see that we would be struggling the whole way, concentrating on driving/riding the blasted thing and not enjoying a moment of charming atmosphere or panoramic views. The kicker is, that the tour company kept our money, and we didn't get a refund until TripAdvisor/Viator stepped in to help us. My advice to the tour company is: 1) Stop the false advertising. 2) Admit that you are testing and screening for those who shouldn't participate. 3) Offer to return the money to those who don't pass muster. And my advice to potential customers is: Don't sign up for this unless you know you can do it without risk. Or take the risk that you may waste your morning on something that doesn't pan out for you and/or others in your group. And then you get to negotiate for a refund. I learned that I would rather WALK slowly up and down the Albaicin and Sacromonte hills to appreciate the scenery for free.

Our guide Kaell was absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about the city and it's history! He made sure that our first Segway experience was fun and safe. I would highly recommend! It was a full 2 hours of sightseeing and I would love to go again.

The tour was absolutely amazing and so much fun! Unfortunately, we couldn't make it to the tour we had originally booked. We were very grateful to be able to switch to a different tour. Everyone in our group LOVED the e-bike tour with Fares. He was awesome and it was such a fun way to explore Granada. We didn’t have much time at all in Granada and the e-bike tour allowed us to explore the city efficiently. And it was so much fun! Highly recommend

Fares was our guide and he was amazing!! We went on a 2hr tour in a group of 6 people. He made sure that we all felt comfortable on the segways the entire trip! The atmosphere was phenomenal and when he took us around he talked about the history of Grenada, he taught me facts about the city that I never knew and that really added to the experience! He also recommended some restaurants for tapas and cocktails and was just over all a lovely person! I rate my experience a 10/10 and I would 100% do it again! Thankyou Fares :)
