This is a comprehensive tour of the Alhambra, including Generallife, Alcazar, and the Nasrid Palace. In 3 1/2 hours, we learned a great deal, were able to see everything that we wanted, and were given great insights into history and local culture. Our guide, Amine, was outstanding.

The tour started off good. It was my husband, me and my two teenage boys 16 &19. Our guide was a bit hard to understand and she was not really engaging with the teens. It almost sounded like a script. I had to ask her repeatedly what she said and finally I just stopped asking. I don’t know much about the catholic religion so I asked her if a pope gets voted in by the people and she laughed at me and said no they get anointed. And proceeded to laugh at me again. After that I was pretty turned off by her. We’ve had other tours where the guide is funny and engaged the family. She was pretty dry and boring. I wouldn’t recommend this tour. I can’t remember her name, maybe Maria.
A lot of walking. Hot. Difficult to navigate. Good history. Some beautiful architecture. Not a good place if you have any balance issues or tire easily. Was uninformed on what possibilities were for accessing areas. Only upside was amazing guide

Re: booking: 1399420665 The fact that Viator cancelled this tour with less than 24 hours’ notice created a major disruption during our travels from Málaga. Because of your cancellation, our non-refundable train tickets were wasted and the final day of our trip to Spain was completely ruined. This situation caused significant inconvenience, stress, and financial loss. We are requesting additional compensation for the expenses incurred as a direct result of this cancellation. If this matter is not resolved appropriately, we will consider pursuing further action regarding this issue. We expected far better customer service and accountability from Viator.
Had the best day with Maria and she was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Gave us an unforgettable experience and was very willing to pause and take photos or explain things in more detail to my fiancé and me when we wanted a deeper understanding of all the history. Would 100% recommend to anybody interested in the Alhambra and she was even able to help us avoid some of the longer lines.
I booked this tour over a month in advance after missing tickets on the official Alhambra website, expecting this company would secure entry for us. At 11:10 PM the night before our scheduled tour, I received a WhatsApp message canceling the booking because they were unable to obtain tickets. This left us with no realistic alternatives despite planning ahead and paying a premium for the service. The communication was also disappointing. The message lacked empathy given the situation and included content in another language, which added confusion during an already stressful moment. There was little effort to acknowledge the impact or provide helpful alternatives. Travelers should be aware that booking through third-party providers like this does not guarantee entry, even if you book well in advance. In our case, the service failed at the last possible moment. If visiting the Alhambra is important to you, I strongly recommend purchasing tickets directly through the official Alhambra website or through the Granada Card. I received a notification at midnight that the tour to the Alhambra I had bookedwas canceled the following day because Viator had not been able to obtain a ticket for me. I received a full refund, but why had a reservation been made for me when no ticket was available?

We thought that we had guaranteed tickets once we purchased. But 30 mins before it was time to start our tour, we were notified that Alhambra did not release tickets much meant there was no guarantee. That should have been disclosed in the purchase. The team did give me a refund immediately.

Maria was an amazing tour guide. From start to finish she was very passionate and exceptionally articulate with explaining the history and significance of each part of Alhambra and the Gardens. We moved at a very good pace, where she was able to figure out how to perfectly time moving from site to site, while avoiding massive tour groups. We visited Alhambra with our guide Abdul who was brilliant. He had lots of information of the history of Alhambra but also added little additional information about the scriptures. Abdul allowed us to rest in between visiting different parts of Alhambra which was lovely considering that there is a lot of walking. We had a wonderful time and have used Viator before when we visited Sevilla last year and again was impressed with keeping us up to date with information around guide times and meeting places. We would highly recommend. Big thanks to Abdul our guide for making our visit to Alhambra and great experience.
First, reserve ahead. Really ahead. But Abdelwagad (the tour guide) had tons of knowledge. Not just about the location - but the history of how this came to be, along with extra videos and pictures on his phone for things you can see.
The small group is the way to go. It’s very crowded with large tour groups. Pablo, our guide, was wonderful, so knowledgeable and responsive to our questions. The only reason for not 5 stars is that even though we were a group of 8, a couple of the attendees monopolized the tour.

Our experience of the Alhambra tour was magnificent. We booked a group tour but ended up being the only ones in the group. The Alhambra on itself already is an amazing place, but it was our guide, Pablo, who made the tour truly memorable. He could answer our questions, however specific, and provide us with additional information on the subjects of our interest. It was in this interplay that his degree in (medieval) history especially came to light. Thank you again, Pablo!

The Alhambra despite its age shows the glory of Al-Andalusia. The Moorish kingdom that reigned in Andalusia for 700+ years. Maria our tour guide was very good and well informed. She provided an excellent experience thoroughly explained including the garden, the reflecting pools,, the Arabic calligraphy, the Madrid palaces. The scope and scale of Alhambra cannot be imagined without being there. The dazzling combination of aesthetics and mathematics, the garden of paradise, the intricate design using water. The history of the caliphate, the reconquista. Maria was professional and efficient in her demeanor and time usage. Words alone cannot do justice to how much we enjoyed the Alhambra tour. It was great! They got us last minute tickets, it ended up being a semi private tour (only 2 couples) and Pablo was fantastic! More expensive but definitely worth to see the beautiful Alhambra & Nasrid palaces.

Maria was our tour guide and she was outstanding. There were three couples in our group, none of whom knew each other, and each from a different county (USA, Canada ,and Brazil). She communicated very well with all of us, using two languages (English and Spanish or Portuguese) to do so, and all of us were very happy with the great deal of interesting information she shared with us about each part of the Alhambra. Moreover, she helped us move through the crowds very efficiently, but never rushed us. She answered all of our questions. She was very pleasant and. we really enjoyed having her as our guide. The operator canceled our visit 1 hour before the scheduled visit. We have traveled from Seville for 3 hours only to be notified just before arriving that they didn't secure enough tickets for our group. The whole handling looked shady and I suggest you stay away from this tour operater as far as possible. We got a refund but who is going to compensate for the lost time and the gas?
