Interesting tour with lots of picture taking opportunities. Our guide LT was great with lots of useful information.
The sunset walking tour was spectacular! Our guide Mario was friendly, engaging, personable, and well-versed in the history and culture of Albayzín and Sacromonte. As he took us through their narrow uphill walkways and steps, he expertly brought the area’s rich Moorish history to life and helped us gain an appreciation not only for its complex history but also for its architecture. We had done an earlier guided tour of the Alhambra complex that morning. The sunset tour guided by Mario offered another heavenly vision of the fortress: seeing the Alhambra awash in the soft glow of the setting sun only further enhanced the enchanting beauty of this remarkable, magical place. We were able to experience the Alhambra from the very beginning of sunset until the sun went completely down. Mario took us to Mirador de San Nicolas in Albayzin, which offers a panoramic view of the Alhambra. Although this viewpoint is very crowded, we still managed to take breathtaking photos. He also pointed out the Mezquita Mayor de Granada, located right next to the viewpoint. We wound our way downhill, admiring views of the Darro valley, cave houses that are built into the side of the hill in Sacromonte (a gypsy community) and beautiful panoramic views of the Alhambra. We also were able to go into one of the cave houses. In Sacromonte, Mario took us to one of his favorite viewpoints of the Alhambra: Mirador de Mario Maya, located in the Sacromonte area. It was easy to understand why—besides bearing his namesake and being uncrowded, it is one of his favorites! Here, across the valley, we saw a spectacular, panoramic view of the Alhambra basking in the glow of both the artificial lights and the ambient light of the already set sun, with the Sierra Nevada Mountains looming in the background! We highly recommend this wonderful, magical tour! Mario’s tour was wonderful in that it was interactive, informative, and most of all enjoyable and beautiful!

This was suggested to us when we went to pick up our other tour tickets by a very helpful lady called Laura. Mario was our guide and her was extremely knowledgable and made the tour of two hours go extremely quickly and interestingly, would definitely recommend.
Our Guide L.T. was great. Tour was in English . L.T. has alot of knowledge , and answered all my questions. He was nice and considerate - there is alot of stairs climing . Helped take great view pictues. Highly recomand this tour
I had a wonderful experience with PlayGranada, especially with the Sunset Tour. The tour guide “LT” was absolutely fabulous, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience very enjoyable. The views and atmosphere were amazing, and it was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Granada. The reception team especially Maria was also fantastic. They were very helpful and gave me great recommendations about other services, places to visit, and how to explore more of Granada. They were welcoming, professional, and always happy to help. I highly recommend PlayGranada to anyone visiting Granada. Great service, great people, and a memorable experience! 🇪🇸❤️
Lautaro was the best tour guide. Highly recommended! Described everything perfectly! Very nice guy! Amazing experience!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I discovered this place just by walking by, and I was warmly welcomed by the amazing Fabib with the biggest smile! He explained everything to me so nicely that I decided to book the tour right away, and I honestly don’t regret it at all! I had the tour with LT, and he was absolutely amazing! He was so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. I genuinely didn’t feel the time passing , it felt like I was exploring the place with a friend rather than being on a tour. Fabib & LT, I can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful experience! ❤️ I’ll definitely come back to see you again, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great tour and an even better experience. Thank you both so much! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great place for kids. Fun to walk across the bridges, but crowded.
Mario our tour guide has so much knowledge of not just Spain and granada but well educated in history in general. Mario was happy to answer as many questions as you needed to. Nice tour and experience.
We thought we’d be with a group of other people, but it ended up being a “private”tour with the guide which was cool! Our guide was from Argentina with a great appreciation for Spain’s history and the Muslim influence in Granada which was nice. He was super friendly and patient (my mom had some trouble with the steps). He showed us to places we would’ve never known to go to and make a walk out of it. Every stop was gorgeous. It was wonderfully timed, and he gave us two 15 minute breaks. My only note is that I wish the tour had notified us of the steps and uphill walking. Would do it again! Totally worth it for someone who hasn’t been and doesn’t know where to start.
Thanks Mario for showing us areas of Granada we wouldn’t have found on our own. Was very interesting
Raul was a great guide! He knew so much, and made the whole experience so personal and engaging, the time flew! Will definitely join another one of his tours when I’m back in Granada
Beautiful areas i wouldn't have seen on my own, knowledgeable gguide ... lots of walking up hill in the first half
This was a wonderful evening tour showcasing the historic Granada districts of Albaicín and Sacromonte. These districts reflect the rich Moorish culture of Granada and provide stunning panoramic views of the Alhambra. Our tour guide Mario was exceptionally well versed not only in the history and culture of Granada but all of Andalucía and Spain. His English was excellent as was his ability to relate to tour guests. The tour does involve some moderately challenging uphill walking on narrow roads and steps but Mario was patient and always safety conscious. This was a very enjoyable and informative tour that I would highly recommend.
The tour with Mario was far better than expected. It wasn’t just a walk around the Albaicín — we also had time for great conversations and to exchange views not only about the area itself, but also about Granada and Spain in general. Mario has excellent knowledge of the history and geography, and he also has a fantastic eye for taking stunning pictures. Highly recommended!
Great evening tour in Granada. Excellent views of the Alhambra. Mario was awesome. Strongly recommended
Fantastic tour with Mario! He provided a wealth of information on the history and culture of Granada. We went to several incredible miradors with phenomenal views of the Alhambra and had plenty of time for pictures and enjoying the view. Great way to see this beautiful city!
Andrea was a great guide and very knowledgeable and friendly. Loved her. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Great tour, we opted to take the bus uphil to save our legs. Highly recommend if you have a slow walker or knee issues. Our guide was amazing, she had great knowledge of history she shared, took us to amazing views and off the beaten path A great way to see the alhambra for photos!
The tour provider was very flexible when we had a train cancellation. They graciously allowed us to reschedule our tour the next day. We enjoyed the wonderful sights of the Old Town of Granada. It was a sunny day and the sunset was incredible, especially as it lit up the Alhambra. Just amazing! We highly recommend.
Fantastic tour of the history and geography of Granada. Lots of steps but the tour was well paced so that our 70+ selves could catch our breath. The scenery as we climbed up and through Albaicin and Sacromonte was spectacular. Highly recommend this tour.
Brilliant sightseeing walk in the beginning of March in the hillside Moorish neighbourhood with many town houses, cave houses and great views of the Alhambra. Especially cave houses are worth of seeing and stories of the ordinary people lives in Granada made tour special. 10 points goes to our briliant guide 👏
Mario our guide is very knowledgeable and the tour went beyond our expectation. We got to see some neighborhoods in Granada that we would have not gone ourselves had we not had this tour. Highly recommended.
This was a great way to explore Granada, and experience fabulous views of the sunset and Alhambra. Our guide Mario was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun. The visit to the Cave House was also great.
We came here on time and the girl at the reception told us to wait for the guide. At 5 minutes passed the schedule time, she sad that the guide left already znd they are issuing a refund. No empathy whatsoever. She knew that this was our only day in Granada. Worst customer service ever!!
Mario is an excellent guide and his tour around Albaicin and Sacromonte comes alive with historical anecdotes. 100%!!
The sunset walking tour was exactly as our tour guide Mario promised, “breathtaking”. The primary focus of the tour was the history of the two neighborhoods surrounding the Alhambra. The views of the Alhambra from dusk to the dark of night. were in fact, breathtaking, as was the climb! Be prepared to walk through very uneven streets and up and down a lot of stairs. Still, well worth being breathless.
It was a great experience with Mario. He spoke about the history of the city and took us through narrow alleys and viewpoints. Fun experience learning so much.
Come prepared for an energizing walk (uphill at first) and breathtaking views of the Alhambra and the city of Granada!
Great tour! Our guide Mario was fantastic. You get beautiful views and interesting history, plus we enjoyed seeing a traditional cave house
A very informative walk through the alleyways of Albaicín and Sacromonte. Great sunset views of Alhambra Mario our guide was excellent.
Excellent tour. The guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. He skillfully managed the pacing of a potentially exhausting tour so that everyone could participate and enjoy. The tour added a whole different dimension to our experience of Granada. I highly recommend the tour and this guide.
It was a very nice tour with a lot of photo opportunities. It is a good way to see the old part of the city.
Mario was a great guide navigating through the many alleys of Albaizin and Sacramento. The journey is up the hill so recommend to wear comfortable shoes.
Nicole was a wonderful guide and took me down interesting streets and areas I wouldn't even know had history/details if I went on my own. The sunset was magical and the city and Alhambra looked beautiful when the sun was setting. We even saw an old cave house and people were playing music in the streets. This is definitely worthwhile to see the city this way!
We had a wonderful walking tour of Granada with Mario! He was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable and full of fascinating information. He also pointed out the best spots for photos. The route gave us a real sense of the city, though be prepared for a workout since the hills are no joke! Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Granada.
Mario was knowledgeable and took his time explaining the history of Granada. He always asked if anyone had questions. The walk was steep at times, but he took enough breaks for my 68 year old self to be comfortable. The views of the Alhambra at the golden hour and at night were amazing. 7 pm is a great starting time in September.
This tour comes highly recommended. Our tour was super knowledgeable. It’s a shame that I don’t remember his name but he’s Cuban. He gave us a thorough history of the region and made it digestible. He showed us secret pathways throughout the city and the views were breathtaking. Highly recommend.
I was left there was somany groups around rhen tour guide phoned me and i tild her where i waz az that is where the google maps pointed ne rowhich waz next to rhe galketas shop she then put the phone down on me knowing i was a couple of doors down and there was ao many people around very dissapointed
Our guide Nicole was fantastic!! No hurry at all, took her time to explain everything. Plenty of time to take pictures!
What an extraordinary informative tour. We had an excellent guide that gave so much history and made all the steps so much easier! He rested enough and assisted us with the booking of a cave flamenco show. Enjoyed every step of tbe way. It was beautiful!
This tour was a great introduction to Granada and its history. Mario (our guide) provided insight to the local history and how Granada developed through the centuries. He also provided several recommendations for restaurants frequented by locals. The views from San Nicolas of the Alhambra complex were spectacular (despite the uncommon August thunderstorm). I’d recommend the tour provider have some umbrellas available for tours.
Mar was our guide, such a lovely person and her English was very good. A wonderful introduction to Granada.
A great way to learn and see the history of Granada outside of the Alhambra. Also some good views of the Alhambra from Saint Nicolas Square. Our guide (Mario) was really friendly, informative, and overall a great time. You can try Granada’s snail tapas too!
My tour guide was Mar and she was great. The time flew by as we walked around Albaicin and sacromonte. Very interesting, nice and knowledgable!
Highly recommend! It was a great tour just hours after arriving in Granada. Ours was a nice small group. Mario is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Granada but a great, friendly guide which made it so enjoyable. He knows many locals and made great suggestions for our stay as well.
Fantastic tour of the Albaicin & Sacromonte with Mario! He was extremely knowledgeable about Granada & its history and encouraged lots of questions throughout. Mario was welcoming & made an effort to make the tour more personal by asking our names & where we were from. If you’re looking for a walking tour in one of the most beautiful parts of Granada, I highly recommend this one!
Mario was amazing. We scheduled a E-bike tour and one of the ebikes was not working. Mario was flexible and taught my 14 year old daughter to ride the Segway. He made sure she stopped properly and slowed on hills. We highly recommend this tour.
