Horrible company! Stay away from this company!! I booked the Alhambra tour 5 weeks in advanced. I received an email saying that my tickets had been secured and the tour was confirmed. I received a what’s app message 6 hours BEFORE the tour saying the following: “ We are very sorry to inform you that, due to high demand and the lack of ticket availability for the Alhambra, we have not been able to secure your ticket for the selected date. From the moment we received your booking, we have been trying daily to obtain tickets, but it has not been possible to confirm your reservation due to the lack of ticket issuance by the official system” Why wait until the last minute? I had received an email saying that it had been confirmed. Now, when I booked with them I had checked the Alhambra website and I almost bought my tickets through the Alhambra website, but we wanted a guide that’s why I ended up booking with this company. The main reason why we made a stop in Granada was to see the Alhambra and we were not able because we couldn’t find tickets at the last minute.

Overall, I felt the customer service was great. I’d booked this tour back in December 2025. At the time, supposedly the only time they had available was 2 PM, which absolutely would not work for us as we are on a cruise and needed to be back at the ship well before we would’ve been if we had started a tour with the guide for three hours starting at 2 PM. So we mutually agreed that we would start at 10:30 am to allow us time to get to Granada from our cruise ship’s dock in Malaga as I needed to rent a car in Malaga and then drive to Granada. Viator though, which I had used to book this tour,, kept sending me emails and confirmations, etc. that stated we were starting at 2 PM. This was true even up until the day before we were doing the tour. I contacted Enjoy Alhambra directly and they assured me 10:30 am was our starting time. They Even went the extra mile for me and checked out if I needed to reserve a parking space at one of the private garages near the Alhambra in Granada. Our guide, Fernando, was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour.
Our guide was amazing. Great tour. Very informative. Loved Alhambra
What a great tour. Lara was insightful and entertaining. Our family finished our tour with a greater understanding of the beauty present in this monument.
Our guide was Fernando. He was thoroughly professional throughout our entire tour. He displayed a wealth of information, highlighting the key features and explaining their relevance. Our tour was outstanding.
Booked our tickets on this tour seven weeks in advance and got a confirmation. The morning of the tour, we get a cancellation from the tour agency saying they couldn’t get tickets. Our sole reason to travel to Granada was to see the Alhambra and this company decides to tell us 9 hours before the tour that they never had confirmed tickets in the first place. Absolutely horrible experience and wouldn’t recommend this company to anybody!
We recently spent three wonderful weeks in Spain during October. The only disappointment of the trip was our experience in Granada, which I would like to share in the hope that steps can be taken to prevent similar issues from affecting other travelers. On September 15th, we booked a guided tour of the Alhambra for October 21st through Viator, operated locally by Enjoy Alhambra, at a cost of $165 CAD per person. We arrived in Granada the day before, looking forward to our tour. To our surprise, less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, we received a message from Enjoy Alhambra stating: “We regret to inform you that, due to ticket availability issues at the Alhambra, we must cancel the visit scheduled for October 21st at 9:30 a.m.” The main reason we included Granada in our itinerary was to visit the Alhambra, so we were extremely disappointed—and shocked—that a tour company could cancel with so little notice. We went to the Alhambra the next morning and tried to secure tickets ourselves, but of course, it was sold out. We later learned that some less reputable tour operators take bookings for guided tours without actually securing entrance tickets in advance. Indeed, the online reviews for Enjoy Alhambra confirm that this is a recurring issue. We travelled all the way from Canada and booked three nights in Granada specifically to visit the Alhambra; had we known the tour was not legitimate, we would have adjusted our itinerary to visit another city instead. Aside from this incident, we thoroughly enjoyed Spain, and in Granada, we found the restaurants and our stay at the Room Mate Leo Hotel to be excellent. However, this unfortunate experience with Enjoy Alhambra left us with a poor impression of the city. It is regrettable that such misconduct by one company can overshadow the otherwise wonderful hospitality we encountered. I sincerely hope that appropriate measures can be taken to ensure greater oversight and accountability for local tour operators so that other visitors do not experience the same disappointment.
Our tickets for a guided tour of Alhambra were confirmed through Viator/TripAdvisor with tour company Enjoy Alhambra on Sept 15 for our tour taking place on Oct 21 at a cost of $165 per person. We arrived in Granada the day before so that we would be prepared for our tour the next day. We had only been in Granada a few hours when to our surprise, with less than 24 hours' notice, we were told our tour had been cancelled! "We regret to inform you that, due to ticket availability issues at the Alhambra, we must cancel the visit scheduled for October 21st at 9:30 a.m." If you read the reviews, you will see that this is a frequent occurrence when you book with the company Enjoy Alhambra. Like others, our only reason for travelling to Granada was to visit the Alhambra. We were extremely disappointed and shocked - how can a tour company get away with this? We went to Alhambra anyway the next morning and despite best efforts, were unable to get in. We were told that some less than reputable tour companies have been known to take bookings for guided tours when they do not have site tickets secured. The worst experience I had in Spain and a very poor reflection on tourism in Granada! Be careful!
It was a great experience. We had a great day with our guide Fernando He was very knowledgeable and explained the history of Alhambra
Been on a lot of tours all over Europe and our guide, Emilio Jaimez, was by far the best I have ever had. This tour was over the top in total professionalism and an incredible knowledge of the aspects of the three palaces and the grounds. Although his native tongue is Spanish, his English was crystal clear unlike other tours where the English is heavily accented and hard to follow. I don't know if you can specify Emilio as your guide but try. It's not the cheapest tour but greatly enhances your understanding of a complicated sight and worth every nickle.
Our guide was so sklled, enthusiastic and an exccellent communicator. We did really enjoy the tour and profited a lot from her knowledge - we are so happy that we decided to see Alhambra with a guide in stead of going on our own.
We are soooo disappointed with your service and business model. We booked your tour with Alhambra and it was cancelled due to you blaming on your computer error. Because of last minute cancellation, we are not able to book with another company for Alhambra. We came to Granada specifically for Alhambra and now we left Granada with any beautiful memories of Alhambra. Fix whatever computer system or problem you have. This is the only way your customers can reliably trust you with their booking. Total disappointment and total disaster with Trip Advisor - an brand that means nothing really.
The tour with Emilio was fantastic, it was not the first time I went to the Alhambra and having Emilio giving you the whole context, anecdotes and and tips from someone completely passionate about it, make the experience completely different. Perfect organisation, the full tour was smooth and pass so fast, thanks for this great visit!
The company and Esther canceled a full Al-Hambrah trip booked 2 months ago from Canada , 15 hours before the visit. Without any justification, reason, and without any alternative solutions or offering help. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM AND VE CAREFUL.
The Alehambra itself was fantastic. Our tour was not. The guide messaged the night before, moving our tour from 9:30 am to 3pm. We were at theeeting point at the requested time of 2:45pm. We asked many tour guides if we were on their tour. Saw many wandering around trying to find their group members. 3pm came and went. 3:15 came and went. No tour guide. No answer via messaging on Viator and calling. Viator's response to this was less than barely acceptable. They said they would look into refunding us and give us 10% off another tour of something. We left Madrid 2 days early and spent over $1000 to come stay in Granada for this tour. After waiting 30 min to discuss this with a supervisor they said they will give us the maximum percent available depending on what future tour we wanted. They offered nothing in writing, said the percentage amount would vary by tour, and said they would leave a note on our account to offer this unknown discount. Again, after 45 min on the phone, nothing in writing, no immediate refund, they asked for proof somehow, and gave us I guess their word they would give us a good discount on one other tour. It is highly unlikely I will ever use them again. I will book directly with a reputable tour company which is really what I should have done in the first place. -5/10
Emilio, our guide, was very knowledgeable and gave us great insight into the history of the Alhambra. The visit was very comprehensive; we explored many different parts of the monument, each more impressive than the last. The gardens and palaces were absolutely breathtaking. The Alhambra is truly a must-see when visiting Granada!
One of the worst experiences in life. They canceled a full Al-hambrah tour 14 hours before the appointment, and now we have no access to the place. No response, no solutions, nothing from Esther. Please be careful when you book any guided tour with those guys
Operator Enjoy Alhambra canceled the full trip 14 hours before the appointment. That's unacceptable and unprofessional. Check who the operator is before you travel. The money is refunded but has no access to AL-Hambra now.
Our guide was very passionate about the Alhambra. He did a wonderful job showing us all the areas, including the Nasrid Palaces, and gave us in depth history and background. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. One comment for improvement would simply be speaking a little slower in English. Sometimes his accent was hard to understand, but this did not at all take away from our amazing experience!
Young guide very informative. Cognizant of fact that some people in group were older. Highly recommend. Also not too crowded.
Our guide, Fernando, was excellent. Very knowledgeable, very helpful, really loves his subject. The Alhambra is magnificent and it made our visit so much better to have such a wonderful guide.
Extremely disappointed- we received a cancellation notice the night before our scheduled tour. We booked it a month and a half earlier because of 5 star reviews. When booking we got notice that it would take a day to confirm availability, but the next day we received that confirmation. The day before the scheduled tour, we drove 3 hours from our previous location to Granada for the tour the next morning- our only real reason for going to Granada. Upon settling into our lodging, however, we got notice that the tour was cancelled due to a lack of availability of tickets. They didn’t know this until the night before??? We did get a refund but did not get to see Alhambra. We do not recommend signing up for this tour.
As others have stated in recent reviews, our tour was cancelled the day before it was scheduled to occur. The reason we came to Granada was to see the Alhambra. This has ruined our travel plans and disappointed us immensely. This tour should be removed from the Tripadvisor site.
Terribly disappointed! Our tour was canceled the day before the scheduled day. This is totally unacceptable as we specifically traveled to Granada because our tour tickets were confirmed and charged. We should get reimbursed not only for our tour tickets but our hotel rooms as well. This seems like a SCAM!
Cancelled our visit to Alhambra the evening before scheduled to go. No real explanation. Devastating as this is the man reason for coming to Granada and the highlight of our entire trip.
Notification that this tour was cancelled for our party of 3 came at 1.15pm the day before it was scheduled and just as we arrived in Granada. Hugely disappointing especially as our visit to the Alhambra was the main event of a 3 night stay. Without a visit to the Alhambra, Granada is lovely for a day or even two but if it is an important part of your trip (as it was for us) I would advise you book tickets with the official site as those through independent guided tours are seemingly not guaranteed even with glowing reviews such as this one. Getting tickets once you are here is pretty much impossible.
This tour operator has the best ratings but treated us poorly! We were a group of three, coming specifically to Alhambra from Switzerland and Austria. My friend from Austria normally lives in Australia and this was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime. The tour operator cancelled on the three of us less than 7 hours beforehand and I cannot even leave a rating for this behaviour. Apparently it is necessary to apply for tickets of the Alhambra with the full name and passport number. I provided the tour operator with all of our details well before the day of our visit and booked the tickets that are not refundable in case the guest misses out. What I didn't know is that some tour operators- this one included- promise tickets to the Alhambra without being able to give the guarentee for the access. And this is what happened to us. We received lenghty excuses of a "human error" that happened and why our friend that travelled the longest would not be able to join- at midnight, while our tour was supposed to start at 9.30. When I wrote back that I expect them to solve the problem and find us a ticket they simply cancelled on the three of us. We believe they did this so we wouldn't be able to write reviews afterwards on the Viator webpage where we booked the tour. The tour was refunded, but we didn't get any compensation for the flights, the bus tickets, our hotel bookings that were of course all related to this tour that we wanted to make. It was a person at the Alhambra that explained us the booking process and that some tour operators gamble when no tickets are available online anymore via the Alhambra-website. Alhambra releases some tickets last minutes and tour operators seem to count to getting them for their guests. And it seems that this works most of the time. Well, it didn't work for us. I guess it is safest to book tickets for the Alhambra in Granada directly at the official site and avoid all tour operators as it seems to be a common problem. I can confirm, specifically for this one!
Our Alhambra guided tour, which we booked a month ago, was cancelled the night before the tour when there was no chance of getting tickets as booked out for at least 2 weeks.
We purchased a guided tour primarily because it was the only way we could get a ticket, despite trying to buy online weeks ahead of time. It was a lot more expensive this way but we had already spent the money on travel and accommodation, and didn't want to miss out on the Alhambra. Our guide met us on time, and was very experienced and organised. She certainly knows her stuff!
Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking. Plenty of water fountains. Not many toilets so find out where they are before you start, particularly if you are elderly. We had a very knowledgeable and helpful guide, Fernando. It was a great experience.
The tour operator canceled my trip because they were unable to secure tickets to get into the Alhambra. Unfortunately, this isn’t an “unavoidable” situation. They know these tickets sell out. People planning their trips depend on the venue being able to secure these tickets and plan their entire trips around seeing this monument. I am not the first client to have this happen to them, and I likely won’t be the last. This is unprofessional and TripAdvisor should remove this account from the website. They shouldn’t be able to advertise tours to Alhambra if they cancel 48 hours before, leaving us unable to rebook.
Wonderful tour. Without question, the best tour I did during my month-long trip to Spain. Fernando, our tour guide, was so informative and a pleasure to spend time with. The staff at Enjoy Alhambra was so helpful in securing last minute tickets for us. I could not recommend this company more.
Fantastic!! Be sure to book this tour. Note that you will meet your guide in the parking lot across from the address that is provided.
Absolutely appalling. We booked our tour, through the TA site, for 9th October on the 11th September and immediately received confirmation. As our tour was due to start at 09:30 we made travel arrangements and booked a hotel for the 8th October to ensure we would be there in plenty of time. We had regular updates, the last one from TA on 8th October at 09:23, building the expectation and reminding us to get ready for our trip, to download the tour ticket etc. So far so good, except it wasn't at 22:18 on 8th October we had a further email from TA telling us the tour operator had sent us a message, we expected it to be a further reminder but no! It was telling us the tour had been cancelled as the they had been unable to secure tickets! We were and still are incredulous as to how this can possibly happen, it was a confirmed ticket, not a maybe, not a pending or anything else. So we despite the expense (the cost of the tour has been refunded), and the effort we made got nothing. We contacted Enjoy Alhambra and TA asking for an explanation and so far both have ignored us. Be warned a confirmed ticket is no such thing.
Fantastic 3 hour tour with Emilio who was a fantastic guide. There is so much to see but the tour was at a good pace taking time to absorb the views & the information. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
Fernando, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and informative. We learnt alot. We were a group of 6 which was perfect as there were so many large groups around of 30/40 people. Definitely recommend this tour
Terrific tour! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, very fluent in multiple languages, and also made the tour very fun. It’s clear he’s passionate about the history and the structures, which makes the tour extra nice. It was also great that we had a small group tour instead of some of the others that have 20+ people in a group. Highly recommended!
This tour was cancelled by the operator the morning of the tour after we had already travelled to Granada. We learned when talking to others this happens often with outside tours. We did receive a full refund and the operators communication was very good. However, if visiting the Alhambra is important to you, suggest booking tickets on the official website.
Do NOT book this tour! I booked weeks in advance and then got an email the morning of the tour stating that the tour was canceled because the guide “could not get any tickets” which is a basic job for anyone leading a tour. The tour was cancelled after midnight when it was set to begin at 9:30 am. their lack of notice ensured that we could not even rebook with anyone else. We the Walked all the way up to the Alhambra to try to buy tickets ourselves but none were available and now we can’t visit it at all on our trip. This tour guide is totally unprofessional and not to be trusted. I urged everyone to find another more reputable tour group so your visit isn’t ruined like mine was
Cancelled our tour at 11pm the night before saying no tickets were available. I had sent an email 2 weeks before asking if tickets had been purchased but no reply. I sent a WhatsApp the day before and they confirmed they had the tickets. I wake up at 8 am to find they had cancelled. I had also booked a car so lost the cost of that. Ruined our trip to Granada.
We paid €70 per person for entrance and the guided tour. Our guide, Fernando, was friendly and informative. It is worth getting the guided tour especially if it is your first visit to the Alhambra as it is a big place with so many interesting features and details and stories behind it. Note you must book your ticket in advance before you travel to Granada because if you wait to buy a ticket at the door it is almost certain that you will be disappointed. Also make sure you are on time for admission because if you are late by even by 10mins they won’t let you in unless you buy another ticket. Wear comfortable footwear as there is a 20 minute uphill walk to get to the Alhambra and the tour lasts 3 hours. Make the most of your time in the Nasrid Palace, which is the highlight of the trip, because admittance is allotted a time slot and you can only visit it once. You are however free to spend as much time as you like in the rest of the gardens and the city. Our group lingered too long in the gardens and the city so our time in the Palace was shortened and we couldn’t climb all the towers. Packing a sandwich is a good idea.
Our guide Andy was on time at the meeting point and very knowledgeable and friendly throughout our trip. Answering not only Alhambra and Granada questions but also general Spanish, Religious and Geopolitical points. Having a small tour, only 4 people in our case really helped as it can be busy and you got to see and hear everything. A fantastic place to visit and a great guide.
I liked the tour because our group was not too big and our guide had a good rhythm , he even managed to mix between English and Spanish versions without anyone getting bored.
Fantastic visit, our guide Fernando, was fantastically knowledgeable and such a nice chap. Great English as well! Went at a very calm pace with lots of time to take photos - would highly recommend. Also nice small group of 8, was great - another group that set off at a similar time had over 30! Only thing was that was not aware we needed to take passports - thankfully we had photos of ours so Fernando was able to get us sorted out. Also a nice walk back to the city although glad we got a taxi up there!
Learning about the history surrounding Alhambra was eye opening. Our guide Emilio had so much knowledge about Alhambra & Spain’s history in general. We loved this experience!
Fascinating and beautiful site brought to life and put in context by the charming Emilio whose English and grasp of Euro history were only surpassed by his comprehensive knowledge of the Alhambra
I highly recommend this tour company with Emilio. He was very knowledgeable of the Alhambra and we left with a PH.D in Alhambra! Tour was on pace not too fast not too slow, very comfortable and left with a very nice experience. Thank you Emilio!
Don't sign up for this tour. They cancelled on us last minute because they couldn't get tickets. This didn't leave us time to try and secure tickets another way.
We had an amazing tour led by Emilio, who was very knowledgeable and interesting. We were a small group of 4, celebrating a birthday and Emilio made sure it went smoothly, allowing time for refreshment and lots of photo opportunities. His enthusiasm was infectious and we had an excellent time. We would thoroughly recommend Emilio and his company, especially for small groups, who want the personal touch. Thank you Emilio!
Esther and Emilio had successfully provided a good experience for the tour. The tour includes access to all of Alhambra, so your nasrid palace, garden of Generalife, Alcazaba, etc…. Are all there. It is my personal belief that they are more flexible, understanding, and patient than they advertise or let on. I want to say they went above and beyond for us to ensure we have a good experience. Emilio was knowledgeable and a terrific guide. I want to thank Esther especially for being extra accommodating and her effort to secure tickets for me. I recommend, A+
