Alhambra: Skip-the-line To Nasrid Palaces & Generalife

Pia, that was our guide, is great. She is very calm, patient and clear about what she says. I loved Consuelo too , our guide at Alhambra.

They didn’t provide an itinerary or much information about what to expect from the trip. Knowing in advance that there would be a bathroom and food stop about halfway there would have been incredibly useful, especially for a 13-hour excursion. The tour was conducted in both Spanish and English, which made some of the stops considerably longer. When temperatures are in the upper 90s, those extra minutes make a real difference. We also weren’t told about the nighttime run that would close off the city center at 10:00 p.m., which was particularly important because that was the time our bus was scheduled to return from the Alhambra. We also weren’t told that the bus had USB chargers, which would have been very useful to know for such a long day. Overall, the tour itself was not bad, but the devil is in the details. For a 13-hour excursion, a detailed itinerary and basic logistical information should have been provided in advance. Knowing what to expect would have made the experience much more comfortable and enjoyable.

The schedule for trip is very well‑planned. When I take the day‑trip to Ronda next time, I will definitely reach out to my leader Pia again.

It was a great excursion but the hot weather can make it difficult. The tour guide, Pía was very friendly and knowledgeable of the history of the palace.

Would recommend just spending the night in Cordova versus round trip in a day.

It was a great day trip to Alhambra. We got to see the Spanish countryside and learned about the region from our wonderful guide Manuela. She took us to Albyracin (sp?) to see the Alhambra as well as Granada city center first. We had a wonderful and relaxing tour and lunch there. Later we went to Alhambra itself with another guide that was arranged for us. Thank you, Manuela (and our driver Manuel) for a special day!

The group was small and the guide was great. Personal, knowledge and very well organized. It was a great balance of learning the history while also having the freedom to wander. I didn’t feel like I was “stuck on a group tour”. Bus and rest stops extremely comfortable!

Carmela is the most incredible tour guide you could ask for. The most lovelies human through and through and made this such a wonderful trip. Her personality and support was above and beyond and I hope the company realises how lucky they are to have someone like her!

Our tour guide Manuela was brilliant she looked after everyone on the tour and was very knowledgeable. The driver and the tour guide Hector were also great. All 3 of them made the days tour perfect. Thank you all

Our travel agent booked us on the Alhambra including Nasrid Palace in late Dec 2025 and this was included in our final itinerary. We were really looking forward to this tour as when you think of the Alhambra you think of the Nasrid Palace, not gardens or dusty ruins (just look at the postcards). It was to be the highlight of our tour in Spain, and we had extended our time in Granada to make the most of it. Our agent has advised that Naturanda cancelled our booking at the last minute and that at that point they could only book us on a tour for us to the Generalife and Charles V palace. Unfortunately, we only found this out when we were stood with 20 other people and I was confirming the above situation with our agent on WhatsApp. The Generalife and Charles V palace guide (different company) told we should come again - not an option when travelling all the way from New Zealand for a once in a lifetime experience. So disappointed and feel very let down by Naturanda, who really spoilt the end of our holiday. Resigned to never seeing this sight. Have recommended to our travel agent that they really reconsider using Naturanda as they are an unreliable partner, who are not to be trusted to deliver on what they promise. Recommend other travellers' book early directly on the official Alhambra website. Unfortunately, I cannot give a minus star review. Naturanda - please do not reply to this review with a meaningless AI generated apology.

This was one of three tours we took with Naturanda while staying in Seville. All were excelllent, and our guide at the Alhambra was particularly knowledgeable. We were very pleased with this tour company and would recommend it.

If there was zero star I would definitely give it to the worst, dishonest tourist company I’ve dealt with. I’ve booked my tour from Seville to Granada 3 months in advance to secure Alhambra entrance ticket and paid more than £300 for family of 3 to be told on the day that my booking doesn’t have access to Al hambra and they blamed on the ‘get your guide’ app. Completely dismissive, unapologetic and inefficient. On arrival to Alhambra ticket office made it clear that it’s totally naturanda fault and lack of efficiency and to be told that we don’t have access to everything ! It was not only us, there was another family of 5 in the same situation. The response from the company was completely useless and dismissive. I’m definitely suing them for ruing my whole trip that I’ve planned way in advance. This is not a company it’s a SCAM. Terrible avoid.

The visit to Alhambra was worth the cost of the tour. It was spectacular! Our tour guide, Alain was excellent-very knowledgeable and funny. The tour of Granada was disappointing. We left Seville 40 minutes late so had less than an hour to explore the actual town. Instructions about finding food and washrooms were also unclear.

It was a very nice trip with no problems. The bus was comfortable and there were enough breaks during the tour. Thank you so much, Daniela!

We took the guided tour of Real Alcazar which was very interesting and amazing. It is a historic palace, hundreds of years old but beautifully preserved.

Karlos fed us easily digested historical information about the magnificent architecture, art and grounds of the Alhambra. My favorite part was the 400 year old water powered organ (?) music, Karlos perfectly timed for us to hear and the upside down tapestry map explanation. His sense of humor kept it from sounding dry or dull. We had a good time.

Tour was very nice although the trip was long because it was 3.5 hours one way. Its good that the bus was very comfortable. The guide that we met at the alhambra was very knowledgable. Highly recommended.

So disorganised. They picked us up a half an hour late. Chaotic and deceptive, they sell tours they don't offer Stay away from Naturanda!

Our tour guide did not show up and did not send us a message on why they weren’t showing up or why they might be late. The office persons we called said the guide would arrive at 3:40 and our tour was supposed to begin at 3. By almost 4 we paid for another local tour 130 Euros as our entry tickets time would run out meaning you have to exit the Palace by 5:30. At 4:18 we got a call from either the office or guide however each time I answered nobody’s responded - a bad connection. We still haven’t received a refund. Be aware of this company in Viator App. I hate to write this review. Also I accidentally booked the same tour one week prior and couldn’t cancel as too late. The guide never saw our message we would not attend. That guide called at 3:02 on June 4th asking where we were and I explained. I share this as if we did do the June 4th tour I booked in error my review would be different. Our June 10 tour was a disaster with this company. Luckily the nice local tour guide save the day and we toured the Alhambra and it was amazing. Good luck.

The views were spectacular and Manuela was very good and patient. The drive is pleasant and you wil have enough time to see the highlights of Al Hambra! The tour guide at Al Hambra Juan was also a great guide!

Absolutely terrible. Scheduled tour for 3:00 and arrived 15 minutes early per Instructions. Turns out they changed the tour time to 2:00 without notice. Tour company claims they contacted us by phone and email to notify us of the change. I never received a call or an email. Such a disappointment to travel all that way and miss the main sight in Granada.

Very impressed with this company. Every point of contact was professional and courteous. Tour guides that treat you with respect and kindness - more than just “another” tourist. In particular the bilingual guide Alberto was a blessing. He guided us through the day with a minimum of fuss, concisely communicated our pick up and meeting points, as well as giving us a broad overview of the history, culture and people that have made Andalucía what it is today. Highly recommended.

A lovely visit to this historic city but along drive there and back Enrico our guide was fantastic nothing too much for him.

I did the full day tour to Granada from Seville , that met all my expectations. It was perfectly organised, Merce, our guide was kind , informative and nothing but delightful, making a long day pleasant for all. I will highly recommend this tour of Naturando to any one wishing to see Granaa. Travelling through the country , seeing the change in landscape and learning about local agriculture, was just as lovely . I will highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to see Granada from Seville.

A great trip and well worth it. We were met at the office/pickup point by our guide 'Catherine' who was jolly, funny and very informative, and she looked after us. We boarded a lovely Mercedes coach ably driven by 'Rafa'. After a tour of Granada by Catherine, we were met by our second guide 'Annie' she took us around the palace and gardens. She was so knowledgeable and informative. After the trip we were met again by Catherine and Rafa for the journey home.

The first stop was to view the mountains and the palace from across the valley which was astounding. Jackie then took us around the gardens and through the various buildings and the history associated with it all was amazing. There is no way you could take everything in without the help of the guide. Awesome day!!!!!!!!! made so much better by Alberto,

This is a must see excursions! The entire experience was breathtaking. Our Tour guide, Ines and Driver, John were wonderful duo. They were personable, informative and relatable. The history of Granada is powerful.

An amazing trip even though weather was terrible. Merce our guide went above and beyond to accommodate everyone on the tour. She was exceptional.

We took Naturanda's Granada tour with Alhambra and Generalife Gardens. Very well conducted tour, communication was clear, timely, ensure all were safe and comfortable at all times, and guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Our guide for the day was Jose Luis. Thank you for the great day trip !

Alberto, thank you for looking after us. It was a memorable day. You set the bar for other tour guides to reach. Courteous and knowledgeable. Great communication & interpersonal skills. Your story telling skills are excellent. On arrival at El Alhambra, a local guide took over the reigns from Alberto....frustratingly, the tour didn't start smoothly as our headphone sets were riddled with technical issues. El Alhambra technical team, pay attention! Our guide at Alhambra, Anna was confident and her story telling skills were equally as good and she kept us interested despite walking in temperatures of 40°c+!! Granada needs to be on everyone's bucket list. A must visit destination for sure. Be warned though. Early July is hot. Prepare yourself.

Day trip from Seville was perfect. Sergio picked us up from our hotel and gave us great tour of Granada. Amy then gave us fabulous tour of Alhambra. Worth the 3 hour car ride there and back!

Be prepared for a very long day. Alberto was our host on our day trip to Granada to see the Alhambra. Naturanda is a very professional and organised company. The palaces and sites were a delight for those who are interested in the history of this place. My only suggestions are that a) the tour departs Seville close to 8am, it was 940am for us, and b) the lunch stop is 1.5 hours not three hours. Too long with nowhere to explore. Thank you Alberto for facilitating this excellent and worthwhile tour. Anna at the site was incredible.

The guide was very good although she overloaded me with too much information, making to the tour too long. We could have stayed at each stop longer and made fewer stops.

We booked 2 day trips from Seville. One with Granada and one with Cordoba. STRENGTHS: The tour guide Alejandro for Alhambra was great! It was a quality tour with solid explanations and well led . And the tour guide lola for the cordoba mesquita was excellent. Lola is probably want of the top tour guides out there who worked well with anyone including the kids in our group. She was smart, witty, personable. Her tour is a 10/10. WEAKNESSES: Both tours were running late. The Naturanda guide for Cordova was friendly and personable but he is not a strong guide in terms of historical information. The Naturanda guide for Granada seemed to be exerting the most minimal effort and shared to the bus that she will not be providing info on the first leg of the bus ride. And when we asked her questions during the Albaycin walking tour, she seemed not to keen to answer questions or entertain the tour participants questions.

Had a great day tour to Granada and the Alhambra from Seville, guided by Alberto. 😊 Learned a lot of history and unique facts to enhance the tour. It was a great day, thank you for hosting. Alberto was very kind and knowledgeable about the region.

The trip was wonderful! Alberto was our fantastic guide who was fully knowledgeable about the history, agriculture, infrastructure, art, literature and architecture of Andalusia leading up to and including Granada. He dove in deep about the rich and diverse heritage. While at the Alhambra, Jesus was our guide who was equally as knowledgeable about the history of the moorish monarchs of Granada and the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella. I recommend both guides for anyone considering a Granda and Alhambra tour.

Local tour company cheated us. We waited for guide in the area designated. At time for your no guide. Sent message to your company. They said 2 guides on their way. At 15 minutes passed your time. Sent another message saying. Guide says you are with them. I said you are required to check passports to get to the Alhambra. Was their last name Thompson? They said sorry for inconvenience. We were screwed ny the company Viator put us with and we need to get our money back. Charles Thompson I also sent earlier messages to Viator no response

Received confirmation with a ticket showing the price of 94.24 euros. Viator was supposed to charge us approximately $144USD a couple of days before the tour. Received a text showing that Viator did charge us $144+ and a link to click on for a voucher. Time showed noon. I kept checking the app and it continued to show the time of noon. The day before the tour, I sent 2 text messages asking for confirmation of the time. No one ever responded until the day of the tour and then it was at 11:41am to tell me that the tour was at 10!! Someone at the Alhambra called Naturanda and asked for an English speaking person so I could speak with them. The woman said “you chose 10:00…sorry”. I explained that everything I had received afterward still stated noon and that I had sent 2 messages the day before with no response. She told me to go to the Welcome Center…what??? They gave us 2 vouchers for about 19 euros and basically expected us to do the tour on our own. We ended up paying another guide approximately 132 euros and he gave us a personal tour that lasted even longer. I sent Naturanda a message requesting a refund but surprise…no response.

We were very disappointed that the tour guide never showed up leaving us missing out on an Alhambra visit. To make matters worse the company, Naturanda, did not answer our multiple texts and phone calls to find out why they had not come. We contacted Viator customer service and they also could not contact Natursnda. Viator customer service was less than helpful and said that any refund would have to be negotiated with Naturands directly. We protested this venhemently as we booked with Viator and telling us we have to contact Naturanda to get our refund seemed like Viator deserting the customer who used their service. I suggested that Viator should exclude Naturanda from their list of providers and issue us a refund immediately. We were told this was not consistent with Viator policies but I asked that our complaint be escalated to higher management so we’ll see. We’ll update this post to see if Viator does the right thing for a client deserted by one of their local tour companies

Driss was an excellent tour guide. Smart, interesting and f fun to be with. We learned so much from him and loved the music he played at times to match the mood! Javier was an excellent driver as well. I highly recommend.

Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommendable. If I evere come back to Granada, I will definitely book the tour with them.

First, the vendor changed the date of my tour saying they didn't have enough people on the date I selected and then changed the time. The guide was conducted in 2 languages at the same time - Italian and English - which really meant you got half the info. The guide did not seem to have much knowledge of the site - only the general dates and major events. I heard other guides providing a lot of interesting stories of the history of what happened there. Our guide just talked about how it was built and the main dates. I know of others who just downloaded an audio guide for a few dollars and thought it was great. I wish I had done that and not spent the money.

We did visit alhambra with Alberto and He was great, helpful and so kind He did even recommand us restaurants, proposed his help to take up in picture as a couple. Thanks for this great road trip Alberto. We did really enjoy it.

Alhambra is a unique structure that everyone must see once in their lifetime. For us, the visit was on a cool January afternoon. We started from Seville with a group of about 15 people and our awesome bilingual guide: Alberto. The tour was well organized with well planned stops, minimal waiting around and adequate time for the visit, lunch, etc. Alberto was knowledgeable, organized and very considerate (took photos for us, answered lots of questions). The only negative in my opinion was that the carrier was a little tight as it was a minibus with very small seats which made the 3-hr journey each way a little uncomfortable.

We have had the pleasure of meeting people of Naturanda Tours in Saville, Spain, during our planned and prepaid tour on Dec 21, 2023 from Saville to Granada (Alhambra gardens and palaces and Albaysin). The office staff was very courteous, polite and assuring. Though, at times their communication seemed delayed or insufficient (no response to question posted on their portal and another email query, or received a text message only once, a day before the actual tour, etc.), it didn’t lead to any chaos or debacle. Our tour guide Alberto was a great professional, energetic with enough sense of humor, very knowledgeable, practical and very sensible gentleman. He knew when to talk and enrich your experience and when to keep quiet to let you absorb or reflect or just relax. He also gave tips about lunch in the Albaysin village, for special dietary needs (we were vegetarian/vegan). Finally, another Grenada local guide Ana-prearranged by Naturanda-covered the inside of Alhambra premises. Ana had university masters degree in history, 7 years leading tour groups in Alhambra and a keen passion to share her love of the region, place and their rich history itself with you. There could not have been a better guide to lead you and enrich your experience of Alhambra. She also called our tour group “family!” which I found bit amusing. I had held this dream over a decade to visit Alhambra one day and someone else could have very easily ruined it totally, when I finally got a chance to live my dream. I am glad and lucky that I chose Naturanda and met Alberto and Ana. The bus coach was nice and clean but the seats didn’t have hand-rests and foot rests. For a 3-hour each way trip, total 6 hours in the bus, this is quite uncomfortable. Also, I would expect tour to provide a water bottle each in the least during the long bus ride. All in all, my wife and I had a great tour experience and met these two wonderful tour guides. I also overheat someone else in our tour group talking highly about another Naturanda tour guide they had a day before for their Alcazar palace tour. Thus, I would not hesitate to take any tours from Naturanda again in future!
