**Subject: Request for full refund and compensation — Booking BR-1455824893, Alhambra, October 29, 2026** I am requesting a full refund of $292.32 for two Alhambra tickets (Alhambra tickets with Nasrid Palaces + Tourist Train, 2 adults, booking ref BR-1455824893, organised by Global Tourism Services S.L.), purchased October 11, 2026, for October 29, 2026. **What I was told** When I booked, I selected 3:30 PM on October 29. Viator then told me, on every surface, that the visit began at 3:30 PM: - The voucher Viator issued, which I was instructed to save to Apple Wallet, printed "OCT 29 2026, 3:30 PM" above a barcode. - The Viator app booking listing showed "Thu, Oct 29, 2026 • 15:30." - The app booking page showed a meeting point at the Palace of Charles V (Calle Real de la Alhambra, s/n Palacio de Carlos V, 18009 Granada) with a map pin, stated "Ready for collection — head to the redemption point to collect your tickets," and said "This activity ends back at the meeting point." - The email instructions stated a meeting point at 3:30 PM with a map to follow. At $292.32 for two tickets, versus approximately €21 per ticket on the official Alhambra website, I reasonably understood this to be a managed visit beginning at the stated time. **What happened on October 29** My party arrived at the stated meeting point at 2:45 PM and waited past 3:30 PM. No representative appeared, and the voucher's barcode was not an entry ticket. **What I then discovered** The actual PDF entry tickets had been sent only the day before, inside the Viator app — I had to click through the confirmed-visit photo into the conversation thread to find them. Those tickets showed a timed entry to the Nasrid Palaces of 1:30 PM, not 3:30 PM. By the time I found this, it was 3:45 PM, and the timed entry had passed. We were unable to enter the Nasrid Palaces — the central part of the Alhambra and the reason for the visit. **The operator's response** When I raised this in the app, the operator confirmed: "I sent you the tickets yesterday!" and defended the wrong time by saying, "In the booking we say clearly that the starting time is approximately." I replied that a 2-hour difference is not an appropriate approximation, and I stand by that. Nasrid Palace entry is a strict timed slot; a two-hour error on the single most important detail of the booking destroyed the product. No surface shown to me before the visit — not the voucher, the app listing, or the booking page — qualified 3:30 PM as approximate. The generic line on the booking page telling me to "check your email or full ticket (PDF) for complete instructions" does not cure this: the PDF itself arrived only the day before, buried in an in-app thread. **Why I am owed a refund** 1. The voucher Viator issued and told me to save to Apple Wallet was not a valid ticket, yet nothing identified it as anything less. 2. The 3:30 PM time and meeting point Viator communicated on every surface were wrong. 3. The correct tickets and the correct 1:30 PM entry time were delivered only the day before travel, buried in an in-app thread — not at purchase and not by email. 4. I did everything Viator asked: I arrived early at the stated meeting point and waited. The failure was entirely in Viator's information. **Additional compensation requested** We planned our trip around the purchase information Viator provided. The 3:30 PM start time, the meeting point, and the map were not incidental details — they were the basis on which we scheduled our travel to Granada and our day there. Because that information was wrong, the consequences go beyond the ticket price: we travelled to Granada solely for this Alhambra visit, and the entire day was lost when the Nasrid Palace entry was missed through no fault of ours. I am therefore also requesting reimbursement of our train travel to Granada [amount: ___] and compensation for the day spent. **Total requested** I am requesting a full refund of $292.32 plus reimbursement of the train travel above. Please let me know how I can attach the following: the voucher, the app booking listing showing 15:30, the booking page showing the meeting point, the email instructions, the PDF tickets showing the 1:30 PM entry, and the in-app conversation with the operator.

Very disappointing. We paid a premium for tickets to the Alhambra and clearly selected 9.30am. This time was also show in the Viator booking details. On the day of the tour, I was given tickets for the Nasrid Palaces for 7pm entry. The time of 9.30am was clearly indicated on the Viator app. Either the information provided was incorrect or it was designed to mis-inform. Why would it show 9.30am when tickets issued were for 7pm.
Convenient way to get tickets if you waited too long. Alhambra is an impressive place. We didn’t receive our tourist train tickets and had to call, by the way I would not recommend the tourist train, it is bumpy and so loud that you can barely make out the guide descriptions.
Was expensive with last minutes purchased the day tour, nothing much just Nasrid palace & tourist train, the Alhambra areas some was free entry😂
We booked tickets the day before our visit to the Alhambra. After the initial confirmation of our ticket purchase, we were anxiously waiting for the tickets to arrive late the night before our visit, but they did arrive and we had no problem at all using them the next day. Good communication with Whatsapp and email. Thank you!
I am extremely disappointed! with my booking to Alhambra with this third party booking. I made a 11:30am reservation in advance of my trip to Alhambra, where i was also visiting Seville and other parts of Spain. After making the online booking I received and email details for my 11:30am tickets; with this i made train reservations, lunch, etc…. as the booking stated to allow ourselves 2-3 hours at Alhambra. The agency emailed final tickets details less than 24 hours of my visit to Alhambra and the were scheduled section for the attractions. Please note the main attraction was not until 3:30pm, this was 4 hours after the suggested time of 2-3 hours duration. We tried to switch times for either the entry or train rides but we were unable too and had to miss the main attraction, the palace garden. We were extremely disappointed with the booking. The agency should have shared the details of the day in advance of our booking, not less than 24 hours.
I was scammed by this agency. They charged by credit card 307.22 USD for 2 tickets did not even include a guided tour. The actual cost should have been $22 euros per ticket, approximately 50.96 USD. I was charged 6.03 times the value of the tickets. SCAM through and through! PLEASE DO NOT USE VIATOR.
Great tour around the Alhambra. Impressive site! We booked tickets too late which meant we had to pay a premium price with Viator but the service was good.
Bad experience. We paid and arrived on time exactly at the meeting point however received message notification that the tickets are not secured yet and might not be even possible for today. I had to drive 2 hours from Marbella; wasted gasoline and time for nothing. So unprofessional.
Amazing service! It may feel a little nerve-racking at first since the tickets are delivered at the last minute, but they do come through as promised. Trust them and you’ll be totally fine. Highly recommended!
We came all the way from Australia after booking tickets in advance. On the day of the visit, after a flight from Barcelona to Granada, Tripadvisor informed us no tickets were available. Although we got a full refund for the admission tickets, the cost of the return flight for four people was out of our own pocket. The Alhambra visit was the reason we visited Granada. A totally wasted journey that left us out of pocket. This whole situation is totally unacceptable. We will never use Tripadvisor or any of their affiliates again.
We were late to booking alhambra tickets, and decided to pay this company to obtain tickets for us, based on their track record of success. We were spending two days in Granada, so had a good deal of flexibility for which times they could get. They canceled the night before the first time that we said would work for us, and were generally uncommunicative aside from the cancellation. I think they make it seem like their chances of success are higher than they are, so I wouldn't rely on them.
Poor planning on our part left us without an entrance to the Palace. Even though we paid about 150.00 a ticket at least we got to see it. It was so beautiful. The ticket was very easy to use and we had no issues.
Horrible experience, overpriced, was rushed out by the staff of the palace. Listing says 2-3 hours, we got kicked out after 1.5 hrs after paying 240 Euros. It was last min and we did get in though, so if that's the only goal then this is fine.
Well worth it . I did not realise I needed to buy tickets in advance. As whole point of hol was willing to pay for the last minute tickets but worried it might be a scam. It wasn't . Delivered exactly what they advertised excellent communication particularly by what's app. Would recommend trustworthy for last minute tickets and alhambra is glorious . Worth the premium price as gets last minute entry to Alhambra after the Alhambra website has sold off l
We received the tickets around 11 PM the day before. We knew there was no guarantee for the tickets and were flexible regarding the entry time. Everything went smoothly. Not suitable for people who need a specific time slot or certainty in their planning. And the price for the service is costly.
Don't do it - it's a scam! I booked this fully knowing that this tour company would try to get us last minute tickets to the Alhambra but there was no guarantee. The problem is they were ultimately not able to get us tickets but they have not refunded my money and they are not responding to my multiple emails to them about when I will be refunded! If you're looking for last minute tickets to the Alhambra we learned each night around midnight the official Alhambra ticket site posts some last minute tickets. They don't release every night but keep trying that instead. It is the same thing this company is doing when trying to get you last minute tickets and you can do it yourself for a fraction of the price. Now I have to go dispute the charge on my credit card and will be contacting TripAdvisor as this is not a legitimate tour company from my experience.
Waited too long to get tickets and this overpriced option worked. Totally worth it . Wish th pdf voucher would mention that they get tickets th night before as Alhambra appears to allow a certain number of tickets to scalpers. Saw a company near hotel that may have been cheaper. Recommend using what’s app. Vendor very quick responding to phone and what’s app not so much through this app. Next time get tickets a month in advance!
Alhambra is definitely worth the visit We were able to see all of the free things on our own without a guide
Extremely stressful and frustrating experience. Tickets were delivered at the very last minute, leaving no time to compare prices or find alternatives. By the time I received them, I was already on site and effectively stuck with no real choice. The pricing felt unclear and significantly higher than expected, which added to the pressure and frustration. Instead of enjoying the visit, the entire experience turned into unnecessary stress and tension. I do not recommend this provider. Book only with services that offer clear pricing and confirmed tickets well in advance.
The Alhambra is so amazing! Make every effort to get there! This particular tour lacks an audio guide—which we know when we got it. However, the place has so much depth and history, unless you’re an expert in Spanish history already—this leaves a big hole. We ended up buying a third party app to provide some context as we made our way through. It was okay but not ideal.
Very good option for the last minute tickets , i booked 2 tickets one day before my visit to Alhambra , they sent me the tickets in the evening , Alhambra is amazing place , absolutely it's better to buy the tickets early but if you are in the same situation as me this is q good option as a last minute so it's normal that it's expensive but as we received the tickets and everything worked well in the entrances it's fine
I didn’t realize alhambra tickets would sell out so quickly and when I finally bought some (from a different seller) that seller cancelled on us morning of 🥲 at 9:20am I found this option and an hour later we received tickets via whatsapp for the alhambra along with a 12pm reservation for the nasrid palace. my boyfriend and I wanted to freely walk around so not having a tour guide was actually perfect for us. genuinely saved our day and had an absolutely amazing experience, I’m so grateful 🥹
The actual Alhambra was great. But when I realized the actual cost of the train and Alhambra ticket Viator charged a LOT. Almost 4x the normal price. Yes it was last minute but still. Part of the problem is companies buy the tickets in advance which then depletes the available tickets available directly with a site. Recommendation: PLAN AND BUY IN ADVANCE to avoid being overcharged. Also I had to pay $2 for ear buds for the train. With how much they charged that should have been free.
This was a total rip off! All we hadwas entrance tickets. No written guide or map . We did not know what we were looking at. Poor instructions prior to entrance. We were instructed to go to the meeting place, which we did, for no reason. We thought we would have been given audio guides at this point. Nothing! Made our way to the entrance on our own, and proceeded. Never saw a tourist train. This should not be lapeled tour, it should be labeled tickets. We purchased this “tour” well in advance. The ticket price was 21 euros. Viator charged 3X more! Stay away!
One-Star Review – Alhambra Tickets with Nasrid Palaces & Tourist Train We booked tickets through this agency for Tuesday 30 December 2025: five adults and three children (all under 12). The total cost came to a staggering £574.90 — for tickets with a face value of just €22 per adult, with children admitted free of charge. That means the true cost should have been no more than €110 (approximately £92). We paid more than six times the official price. On arrival at the Alhambra, we discovered that no tickets had been arranged for the children. The result? Our entire party — five adults and three children — was denied entry. Every penny of that £574.90 was wasted. We are far from alone. A cursory search reveals scores of furious reviews across Trustpilot, TripAdvisor, and travel forums such as Rick Steves, all describing the same predatory pattern. Tourists report paying five, six, even nine times the official ticket price. Companies operating under names such as My Top Tour and Alhambra Entradas use the word "official" in bold lettering on their websites while burying disclaimers that they have no affiliation with the Alhambra in tiny print at the bottom. Reviewers describe tickets that never arrive, tickets that exclude the Nasrid Palaces without making this clear at the point of sale, customer service lines that go unanswered, and emails that are ignored. One reviewer on Trustpilot paid €250 for five tickets with a face value of €12 each. Another on TripAdvisor paid €78 for two tickets that should have cost €10.61 each. The complaints stretch back years, and yet nothing changes. The consistent thread running through all of these reviews — and ours — is that the Spanish authorities and the Alhambra organisation itself are complicit in this racket. The official ticketing system releases limited allocations that sell out months in advance, creating an artificial scarcity that third-party touts exploit ruthlessly. These resellers hoover up tickets and sell them on at grotesque mark-ups to families who have spent thousands on flights and accommodation and who have built their holidays around visiting one of Europe's most celebrated heritage sites. The authorities know this is happening. They have known for years. They do nothing. It is, frankly, a disgrace — not just to Granada but to Spain's reputation as a tourist destination. Let me be equally blunt about the agents themselves. They provide incomplete and misleading information and fail to ensure valid tickets are available,. This is not a service. It is a systematic, predatory fraud. If you have had a similar experience, there is something you can do. The European Commission operates the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for cross-border consumer complaints against EU-based traders. You can submit a complaint at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. You may also wish to contact the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) in your home country, which provides free advice and assistance with cross-border disputes within the EU. The more complaints that are formally lodged, the harder it becomes for the authorities to look the other way. Do not let these operators profit from your misery in silence.
HORRIBL EXPERIENCE. It said booked online and when we got to granada, spain - the night before i get a message from the vendor that there were no tickets. He tells me that he will get it for later that afternoon. I keep texting him when the time comes and he says no tickets. I got refunded but a horrible experience and do not recommend!
spent lots of time to chase entry tickets. there is no tour guide. price charged 4 times over the price.
When booking you do not have tickets yet, those you receive the night before. Note: this gives entry tickets only, no guided tour. Insanely overpriced at eur 128 prr person, as regular price is only eur 22. That said, they were able to get us last minute tickets during holiday period, and even called us to make sure we understood our entry time for the Nasrid palace.
Got there and didn’t get the tickets they said it’s till the last minute they offered refund or wait to the next day I took the refund , i was disappointed
We thought we had purchased tickets which the tour operator actually owned, but in reality the tour operator did not have any on hand and was just hoping they would become available on the day of our visit. They assured us throughout the day it was very likely more tickets would be released. They also offered us a full refund. We waited until 1530, but no more tickets were released. The operator did give us an immediate refund, but we were still very disappointed we did not get a tour of the Alhambra. If we had known the tickets were not in hand, we would have modified our itinerary.
Terrible, we have traveled for 3 hours and it is cancelled at the last minute, do not recommend Viator to anyone.
Do not book with this company. Terrible experience. Rude customer service agent called Fatima cancelled my booking at midnight. Had changed all my plans for this booking and changed my bus departure. She did not care and her messages were rude and uncaring. They actually don’t have tickets. They are just waiting for a midnight drop in tickets. If they can’t secure any you don’t go. They honestly don’t care. They took my money and sent me confirmed tickets
Paid over $400; tickets sent minutes before via WhatsApp, no instructions or support, most of the experience unusable.
I paid over $400 for three tickets, reasonably assuming that—given the high price—there would be adequate guidance and clear instructions for access and logistics. Instead, the experience was disorganized, poorly communicated, and ultimately unusable for most of what I paid for. The tickets were sent only via WhatsApp, and alarmingly, they arrived just five minutes before the scheduled time. There was no advance notice that WhatsApp would be the only method of delivery, despite TripAdvisor indicating they would be sent by email. Because of this, I was unable to plan appropriately. When my phone battery ran out during the visit, I lost access to the tickets entirely and could not retrieve them elsewhere. There was also no explanation provided regarding the on-site process. I was not informed in advance that I would be required to present both passport and tickets repeatedly to access different areas. As a result, I was denied entry to most sections of the complex. I was also unable to use the included train service because no instructions were provided about where to find it or how to access it. Staff on site were largely unwilling or unable to assist, offering no meaningful help when I explained the situation. Had any of these requirements or logistical constraints been disclosed beforehand, I could have prepared accordingly and avoided losing access to the experience. Due to the lack of communication, guidance, and basic customer support, I was unable to enjoy at least 80% of what I paid for. For tickets at this price point, this level of disorganization is unacceptable. This was not a minor inconvenience—it was a fundamental failure in service delivery that resulted in significant financial loss and disappointment.
Last minute cancellation There was no indication in rhe booking that is was not definite. Very disappointed both from the agency as well as Viator.
We bought the tickets one week before our trip and planned our entire itinerary around them. The company did not inform us about the cancellation until late at night, almost at the last minute. Yes, the money was refunded, but that does not fix the problem. By then, it was too late to rearrange plans, find alternatives, or adjust schedules. Our time and planning were completely disrupted. Poor communication and zero consideration for travelers who rely on advance bookings. A refund alone does not make up for the stress and inconvenience caused. I would not recommend this service if you value reliability and clear communication.
They say 100% guaranteed ticket, but no ticket sent until the last minute. If they told me early that there's no ticket, then I could've tried other method but they pretend to have tickets. I spent my whole day doing nothing. No excuses or appologies, though at least they gave me refund.
I bought a last-minute ticket. Sure, it's expensive, but that's my own fault. Thanks to the team that provides us with such tickets.
We did not procure tickets months before our trip as we should have. We paid 150 euro for the 21 euro ticket which did not arrive until the night before the tour. It was never clear wha train was available to us. The one we saw had a long and difficult line.
This is not any type of guided tour nor audio one. The description says this but it might be overlooked since it shows a meeting place. That sort of confused us as we and others arrived at the die died meeting spot and then wondered what to do. It is only entry tickets to site plus entry to Nasrid palace. You will be assigned a specific time to enter Nasrid - BUT you get no input into what time is best for you. Our timed entry was 16:00 and we had to rush through this because our train departure was at 17:35. Also if there’s a person who is mobility impaired, the person may not be able to have access to all of the site. We had a person on a crutch and could find no ejectors and some of the steps were very high.
The Alhambra is a very particular experience and the " train" ride another, in retrospect I would not link the two. We would have been better to spend the whole day at the Alhambra, taking it all in.
The most memorable part was the Nasrid palace. The architecture is so amazing. I am glad they had posters that showed the restoration history to help me better understand the before and after. There are many step steps to climb and cobbled paths. Don’t miss the gardens on generalife.
I purchased through this company tickets were never send. They took my money & never provided tickets & now I can’t get hold of anyone to get my money back. Horrible experience. I’m disputing with my credit card company.
hey.. i didn't book in advance (even though I really did have known better..I have visited before) These guys came up with tickets at about 7 hours notice.. so, I must say bravo, they delivered Alhambra magnificent as always
I was trying to buy tickets for Alhambra with palace option on short notice. Most vendors had no availability. When this company let me pick a noon tour time i assumed this was why I was paying a much higher price for this tour. I should have been more cautious about reading the fine print in the terms and conditions that “times were approximate.” I got a confirmation of my noon booking immediately. But when the ticket with entry QR code arrived it was for five PM (long after I had to be returning to my cruise ship). Customer service response was “on short notice 5pm is all that is available”. Presumably they knew that when they took my money with the expectation of an entry mid-day. Five hours is a stretch of “times are appropriate” in my opinion.
Great communication. I tried to get tickets myself but started too late. After two weeks of occasionally looking on the Alhambra website, to find nothing, I paid this tour operator to see if they can still find tickets. We were rather flexible: day 1 any time before 4pm, day 2 any time before 2pm. We were in contact through whatsapp all the time, and on day1 at 10am, we got the call that he had tickets for us three. Tickets were send by whatsapp and the whole process very smooth! You just need to understand that there are actually basically no tickets left, so you might end up with no tickets. In that case they reimburse you. I can definitely recommend this service - not cheap - but your only alternative if you have been too late. We did not use the hop-on hop-off bus, to infrequent. But it was not our point anyway.
Didn’t realize how far in advance you had to book tickets on the official website. We booked with a different tour company and the day before we were supposed to go they cancelled our tickets. We then booked with this tour company at around 4 pm and received our tickets the next day at 2 am. Very thankful that they were able to secure these for us, we didn’t have the energy to stay up ourselves waiting for tickets on the official website to be available at midnight. They provided helpful information when we were confused about which gate to enter through. I’m so glad we saw this company on Tripadvisor because otherwise we would have missed out.
They were able to get us the last minute tickets and the experience was 100% worth the cost it was amazing. Just make sure you give yourself like 30 min from getting to the Alhambra to make it to the Palace. If you miss your time window they will not let you in and it is amazing.
It was expensive, there was late communication at 23hoo the night before to say I might not get requested slot and would not know till 10.30 on the day ,when I had already made all my travel plans I was notified at 10am i had a ticket For the amount of money I paid its nonsense and stressful to have ticket slot finally confirmed a half hour before entering the venue
