Wonderful tour of Al-hambra! Alain was an excellent tour guide, very funny and knowledgeable - highly recommended
The Alhambra captures the essence of the rich culture the Moorish period in the history of Granada. Our guide Ferando was brilliant, enthusiastically explaining the historical background and architectural achievements in detail andcthat made our visit an unforgettable experience. We felt a private tour gave us the opportunity to get the most out time there.
We loved seeing the Alhambra and Angela was an amazing tour guide. Her knowledge of the history and culture really made the visit exceptional for us. Our tour group was small with 7 people, which was nice too.
This was a must-do in Granada. We were in Madrid for most of our Spain vacation but decided to go to Granada last minute for 2 nights. Veronika, the owner of Alhambra Guide, worked miracles to get newly released tickets as they had sold out long ago. We had a group of 5 with age range from 20 to 50s and everyone loved our tour. Alba, our wonderful guide, grew up in Alhambra and studied tourism at university. She is extremely knowledgeable but also so fun and engaging. She had the best photo spots picked out and shared so many fascinating stories and details. Alba also gave us helpful info about where to get her favorite tapas and what do do with the rest of our time in Grenada. We could not have had a better experience! I would highly recommend any tour arranged by Veronika and led by Alba. Our Alhambra tour was definitely a highlight of our 10-day trip to Spain. When I return to beautiful Grenada, Veronika is the first person I’ll contact. 😃
Well worth the money to have such an enthusiastic guide to take us around this magnificent place. Took a good three hours to fully visit and we were told masses of information about the Alhambra etc. need good walking shoes and comfy clothing but nothing too strenuous although visit does involve climbing up and down slopes and steps. Limited food and drink opportunities and very controlled on where you can eat, if you need to. Toilet facilities adequate but again limited where they were sited. Would highly recommend our lovely Laura.
Very knowledgeable guide, she was very personable and explained the history of the Alhambra as well as the art and design in a concise fashion.
Great tour. Good broad overview of the Alhambra and Generalife. Our tour guide Laura was very knowledgeable.
A great morning exploring the beauty of Alhambra with Alain our excellent guide. Audio equipment was very good and we had an extremely knowledgeable guide in Alain. By far the best tour experience this trip by far.
We lucked out and had a group of 4 of us total on the late afternoon tour. Our guide, Alba, was fantastic. Her cheerful demeanor and vivid storytelling skills made it a very fun outing. The Alhambra is quite a marvel - rich history, beautiful gardens with many varieties of flowers. And then the palace itself hold such wonder. All in all a very enjoyable tour.
Our guide (Leti) was fantastic! Her knowledge of the Alhambra amazing her English was spectacular! Very enjoyable day with a great person!
Amazing tour by Eduardo. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire Alhambra, surrounding areas and plant life.
Very high recommendation. Though the instructions as to where to start the tour could have been a little clearer, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the Alhambra is incredible. We were delighted.
Leticia (Leti) our guide was a natural storyteller with an unmatched depth and breadth of knowledge about the history of the Alhambra. She had a sense of humor and relatability for days. Highlight of our trip and well worth the 3-hour tour splurge. We toured palaces and monuments recently in Portugal and Paris without a guide, which were beautiful, but you don’t FEEL the history in the same way. Highly recommend.
Alba did a superb job sharing the highlights and secrets of the Alhambra with us. We loved our time with her.
Booked a guided tour as other tickets for this had sold out already a month before we travelled. Susana was excellent guide and the Alhambra sites did not disappoint.
The tour was excellent very insightful and informative. The tour guide Angela was very knowledgeable.
We thought we had failed to secure tickets, but bought this guided tour with Alhambra Guides. Cristina was excellent, she allowed personal time but gave us all lots of background history and stories. It was a most memorable part of our trip. Thankyou!
Alhambra is a fascinating place. Our guide Nacho kept us entertained and was extremely informative. I would totally recommend having a guide so you get a piece of history.
I cannot recommend Alhambra Guide highly enough. My husband and I were advised to get a private guided tour of the Alhambra, and I left my arrangements too long to give myself many options (like getting the tickets first and *then* finding a guide). Somewhat anxious that we wouldn’t get in at all, I stumbled across Alhambra Guide. I reached out and started a wonderful connection with Veronika. I can’t express how reassuring it was to communicate with her from the other side of the planet (Canada). She explained that would be released to professional guides a few weeks in advance, and told me not to worry. She was always ‘there’ to answer my email, which she did in a very professional and friendly way. And in the planning stages, this built a huge amount of trust on my side. And of course she was right—tickets for our desired booking came through for her. And the guide she provided was incredible. His stories were so evocative and it made this incredible site come alive. You will not be sorry to engage Alhambra Guide. They really care about their clients and work to be sure that everything goes smoothly. No guesswork on our part—always there to make sure we knew what to do, where to go, etc.
Angela, our guide, was absolutely wonderful. She provided great information and was easy to understand. This is one of the best tours I’ve done.
We had a wonderful tour with Leti our guide. She was very pleasant, enthusiastic and gave us a very informative, interesting commentary about the AlHambra. It was a wonderful evening at the Al Hambra.
Veronika was absolutely incredible as a guide and incredibly passionate about the Alhambra and Granada in general. The tour was three hours which sounds long but really went by quickly. It included Nasrid palace, Generalife and the town behind the walls of the castle. Cannot tell you how impressed we all were with her knowledge and level of detail, she knew where to take pictures and locations to walk past. Would gladly book her again and tour was well worth the cost of admission, cannot say enough good things about our experience.
This guided tour of Alhambra was not cheap but to us was worth every cent. It was in a max of 10 group - in the event there were six of us. Our guide Veronika was superb: fluent, knowledgeable, charming and engaging. She added a whole new dimension to the trip with her commentary and answers to questions.
Veronika, our tour guild is very knowledgeable about history and culture of Alhambra, Granada and Andalusia. She has been in Granda for ten years, guilding this tour hundreds of times, however, her passionate and detailed introduction for each attraction still feels it was her first time in Alhambra. She is able to answer every questions we had. It was a very pleasant tour with Vernonika (like traveling with a friend happens live in Granada). She communicated us the day before the tour with the meeting point locator. We booked the tour a week before (no available tickets online), she has our tickets so that we can avoid the quene getting in. We also like her presentation style, gives history overview and general introduction of the place we will walk in, so we have better idea when we see the place and take time to appreciate it while she points out highlights. We highly recommend Veronika.
We booked a guided tour, and agency sent a very engaging Vanessa who made us feel well informed and helping us make most memorable shots." We recommend reader to book one month early to get good rates.
We were lucky enough to be in the General Life for the sunset. It was stunning. We were also impressed with the three remaining sultan palaces.
It was an amazing tour with Victoria. She was quick and energetic which allowed us to see everything and enjoy all the beautiful views at sunset of the Nasrid and Alhambra Palaces as well as the gardens. I would highly recommend both Victoria and seeing the summer house and gardens.
Very happy with the experience. Christina was a knowledgeable and passionate guide. It was great to be with a small group - we saw more and in more detail. We returned the next day to see the free museum exhibits.
Our wonderful guide, Veronika, was extremely well-informed and made the beautiful Alhambra come to life. The tour was 3 hours long and perfectly paced with time for a water break and lots of pics. She was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour with our own guide. Thanks to Alba for an interesting, informative and pleasant tour. While the private tour costs more the guide will take you around avoiding the crowds. We started at 10:00 hrs (avoids the heat of the day) and with the three distinct areas of the Alhambra, Palaces and Gardens a guide is a major benefit in seeing as much as possible and in sufficient detail within the 3 hours. Booking on line ensures entry, with the guide providing the tickets (included in our package) and is a great help in dodging the queues at the various entry points. As a private tour it is also worth noting the guide walks at your pace and allows time for photographs and any specific interests.
Leti was an amazing tour guide. We filled the time with incredible history and stories. She was open to all questions and modified the language due to a child being with us. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, thank you!
Our guide Veronika was amazing. So friendly, knowledgeable and engaging she taught us so much and the three hours fly by. Highly recommend this tour and especially Veronika.
Nina was great, super knowledgeable and friendly. The Alhambra is amazing and well worth seeing. Thanks, Nina!
Guide Alba was very knowledgeable and engaging and knew all of the great photos opportunities. The tour delivered on what was advertised. Very small group was a bonus.
Veronika was a very knowledgeable and pleasant guide. She really makes the stories about Alhambra come alive in a captivating way and also shared with us a list of good restaurants to visit, and books to read about the Alhambra. We would definitely recommend this tour with her!
Cristina was an excellent guide - led our group with the knowledge of having been around the Alhambra one thousand times, yet still showing the excitement & wonder as if seeing it for the first time. Communication before tour good, easy to locate meeting point, and great group size allowing us to ask extra questions etc. Guided tours are not cheap but this was well worth doing - I highly recommend.
The Alhambra was amazing and brought to life by our wonderful tour guide Simon. He was so engaging. He made every effort to make our experience as wonderful and intimate as possible.
Excellent tour with Veronika. He knowledge and enthusiasm helped to bring the place alive. The way she guided us around meant we didn't feel the crowds which is exactly why I paid the extra for a private your, just us and our guide. Highly recommend if you can afford the cost. The palaces are stunning and well worth the effort, I'd recommend walking up if you can as it adds to the occasion
Enjoyed the tour, especially the guide’s competence, courtesy and deep knowledge of art, architecture and history
Viktoria was an amazing guide! In depth presentation of the Alhambra and its history. Would highly recommend this tour and especially Viktoria.
Great tour guiding by Veronica, who was fun and engaging, extremely knowledgeable and really focused on our group and what we wanted including timing of a coffee break and helping us find specific spots we remembered from a visit to the Alhambra 36 years ago. We had a wonderful morning, worth the cost.
Virginia was such a lovely guide filled with excellent knowledge. It was a very nice tour of the alhambra.
Leti was an exceptional guide. She was knowledgeable and made the experience fun and engaging. She was relaxed and let us set the pace. Worth the extra attention and company. It made for a wonderful day.
Veronika was knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about the Alhambra’s history and legends. A special day for my wife and I.
Veronika was so knowledgeable and just a delight. Her love of where she lives and the history was truly wonderful to see and learn about. This was a very nice tour and recommend it to everyone.
I'd say it was one of the best experiences i've enjoyed in my life. From start to finish you'll be almost overwhelmed by the beauty and tranquility, truly awe inspiring. Our guide, Rasha was brilliant, so knowledgeable, full of stories that brought the experience to life. Being in a small group was so much better, more intimate and allowed us to move through the experience with no fuss but also allowed plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere. Rasha was waiting for us at the meeting point and was well prepared with our tickets and we moved into the experience quickly. Even though there were lots of visitors, there were times when we had the place to ourselves and we could immerse ourselves in the beauty of the palaces and gardens. I fully recommend this tour in a small group, yes a little more expensive but it is 100% value for money, making your visit a memorable and out of this world experience.
We arranged this Alhambra tour using Tripadvisor as tickets direct from official site were sold out until May. Veronika was our tour guide for our private tour and she was fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly with academic training in history related to Alhambra. Veronika kept us on track as we toured to make sure we got to the palace entry right on time. The there hours flew by and we went over by 30 minutes as Veronika wanted to make sure we didn't miss anything. She also highlighted a lot of the history of Spain and Grenada during the tour Well worth it and a silver lining to the tickets bring sold out
The Alhambra was so amazing! Beautiful to see and rich in history. There wasn’t anything I didn’t enjoy except the occasional downpour of rain. Our guild Alba was fantastic. She imparted so much information that made the tour even more rewarding. It was a majestic experience. I rate it up there with touring the Colosseum in Rome! This experience is a must for anyone coming to Spain. Also the town of Granada is enchanting.
Our guide Veronica was amazing and our three hours at Al Hambra were engaging interesting and enjoyable.
